Metaverse technologies are increasingly promoted as game-changers in transport planning,connectedautonomous mobility,and immersive traveler services.However,the field lacks a systematic review of what has been achieve...Metaverse technologies are increasingly promoted as game-changers in transport planning,connectedautonomous mobility,and immersive traveler services.However,the field lacks a systematic review of what has been achieved,where critical technical gaps remain,and where future deployments should be integrated.Using a transparent protocol-driven screening process,we reviewed 1589 records and retained 101 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles(2021–2025)that explicitly frame their contributions within a transport-oriented metaverse.Our reviewreveals a predominantly exploratory evidence base.Among the 101 studies reviewed,17(16.8%)apply fuzzymulticriteria decision-making,36(35.6%)feature digital-twin visualizations or simulation-based testbeds,9(8.9%)present hardware-in-the-loop or field pilots,and only 4(4.0%)report performance metrics such as latency,throughput,or safety under realistic network conditions.Over time,the literature evolves fromearly conceptual sketches(2021–2022)through simulation-centered frameworks(2023)to nascent engineering prototypes(2024–2025).To clarify persistent gaps,we synthesize findings into four foundational layers—geometry and rendering,distributed synchronization,cryptographic integrity,and human factors—enumerating essential algorithms(homogeneous 4×4 transforms,Lamport clocks,Raft consensus,Merkle proofs,sweep-and-prune collision culling,Q-learning,and real-time ergonomic feedback loops).A worked bus-fleet prototype illustrates how blockchain-based ticketing,reinforcement learning-optimized traffic signals,and extended reality dispatch can be integrated into a live digital twin.This prototype is supported by a threephase rollout strategy.Advancing the transport metaverse from blueprint to operation requires open data schemas,reproducible edge–cloud performance benchmarks,cross-disciplinary cyber-physical threat models,and city-scale sandboxes that apply their mathematical foundations in real-world settings.展开更多

Phantom limb is a disabling neuropsychiatric condition among amputees resulting in pain and disturbance that impact their functions,quality of life,and autonomy.While pharmacological approaches appeared to be ineffec-...Phantom limb is a disabling neuropsychiatric condition among amputees resulting in pain and disturbance that impact their functions,quality of life,and autonomy.While pharmacological approaches appeared to be ineffec-tive,the emergence and integration of X-reality,including virtual reality,augmented reality,and mixed reality,might elevate the effectiveness of mirror therapy in managing phantom limb.The objective of this study is to review X-reality for managing phantom pain.A systematic search was conducted on PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,PsycINFO,Embase,and CINAHL.Sixteen(n=16)studies containing 66 lower-limb and 53 upper-limb amputees were included for the review over the thematic framework of amputee characteristics and intervention designs,while thirteen(n=13)studies were further proceeded for the meta-analysis.We found eleven studies on virtual reality(n=11),four studies on marker-based augmented reality(n=4)and one study on mixed reality(n=1)with a total of 40 game/task themes involving,motor skills,motor control,and stimulus-sensing.Regardless,all these interventions adopted the movement representation strategies with different techniques.Overall,the X-reality interventions reduced the pain level of the amputees(mean difference:-2.30,95%CI,-3.38 to-1.22),especially the virtual reality subgroup(mean difference:-2.83,95%CI,-4.43 to-1.22).However,there were substantial heterogeneity and partially explained by the subgroup analysis on publication year.The strength of evidence was limited by case reports and case series in this review.展开更多
Metaverse describes a new shape of cyberspace and has become a hot-trending word since 2021.There are many explanations about what Meterverse is and attempts to provide a formal standard or definition of Metaverse.How...Metaverse describes a new shape of cyberspace and has become a hot-trending word since 2021.There are many explanations about what Meterverse is and attempts to provide a formal standard or definition of Metaverse.However,these definitions could hardly reach universal acceptance.Rather than providing a formal definition of the Metaverse,we list four must-have characteristics of the Metaverse:socialization,immersive interaction,real world-building,and expandability.These characteristics not only carve the Metaverse into a novel and fantastic digital world,but also make it suffer from all security/privacy risks,such as personal information leakage,eavesdropping,unauthorized access,phishing,data injection,broken authentication,insecure design,and more.This paper first introduces the four characteristics,then the current progress and typical applications of the Metaverse are surveyed and categorized into four economic sectors.Based on the four characteristics and the findings of the current progress,the security and privacy issues in the Metaverse are investigated.We then identify and discuss more potential critical security and privacy issues that can be caused by combining the four characteristics.Lastly,the paper also raises some other concerns regarding society and humanity.展开更多

文摘As an emerging interdisciplinary field,digital orthopedics is hailed as the third technological wave in orthopedics,with its applications gradually expanding into various areas and continuously innovating orthopedic clinical practice.Through advanced technologies such as 3D printing,extended reality,finite-element analysis,roboticassisted surgery,and artificial intelligence,the diagnosis,treatment,and rehabilitation of orthopedic diseases have become more convenient,precise,and personalized.This article primarily introduced the main advantages and applications of digital orthopedic technology and evaluates its clinical efficacy and development potential,providing important references for future research and clinical practice.

文摘Phantom limb is a disabling neuropsychiatric condition among amputees resulting in pain and disturbance that impact their functions,quality of life,and autonomy.While pharmacological approaches appeared to be ineffec-tive,the emergence and integration of X-reality,including virtual reality,augmented reality,and mixed reality,might elevate the effectiveness of mirror therapy in managing phantom limb.The objective of this study is to review X-reality for managing phantom pain.A systematic search was conducted on PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,PsycINFO,Embase,and CINAHL.Sixteen(n=16)studies containing 66 lower-limb and 53 upper-limb amputees were included for the review over the thematic framework of amputee characteristics and intervention designs,while thirteen(n=13)studies were further proceeded for the meta-analysis.We found eleven studies on virtual reality(n=11),four studies on marker-based augmented reality(n=4)and one study on mixed reality(n=1)with a total of 40 game/task themes involving,motor skills,motor control,and stimulus-sensing.Regardless,all these interventions adopted the movement representation strategies with different techniques.Overall,the X-reality interventions reduced the pain level of the amputees(mean difference:-2.30,95%CI,-3.38 to-1.22),especially the virtual reality subgroup(mean difference:-2.83,95%CI,-4.43 to-1.22).However,there were substantial heterogeneity and partially explained by the subgroup analysis on publication year.The strength of evidence was limited by case reports and case series in this review.

文摘Metaverse describes a new shape of cyberspace and has become a hot-trending word since 2021.There are many explanations about what Meterverse is and attempts to provide a formal standard or definition of Metaverse.However,these definitions could hardly reach universal acceptance.Rather than providing a formal definition of the Metaverse,we list four must-have characteristics of the Metaverse:socialization,immersive interaction,real world-building,and expandability.These characteristics not only carve the Metaverse into a novel and fantastic digital world,but also make it suffer from all security/privacy risks,such as personal information leakage,eavesdropping,unauthorized access,phishing,data injection,broken authentication,insecure design,and more.This paper first introduces the four characteristics,then the current progress and typical applications of the Metaverse are surveyed and categorized into four economic sectors.Based on the four characteristics and the findings of the current progress,the security and privacy issues in the Metaverse are investigated.We then identify and discuss more potential critical security and privacy issues that can be caused by combining the four characteristics.Lastly,the paper also raises some other concerns regarding society and humanity.
文摘The 5G networks which have begun to spread worldwide are expected to contribute to an increase in the use of Internet of Things(IoT)technologies and applications,which require massive connectivity,security,and ultra-low latency.However,it is known that 5G alone is not sufficient for many IoT devices to exchange various types of data in real time.These constraints promote the emergence of 6G technologies which can support higher network capacity,lower latency,and faster data transmission than 5G networks.To understand the current trends in 6G research and their relation to IoT,this paper introduces the main drivers of 6G technology,describes 6G’s enabling technologies,summarizes current 6G research,and introduces the possible applications of 6G to IoT technologies and service areas.
