Two 9-metal lanthanide nanoclusters[Ln_(9)L1(L_(2))_(2)(OAc)_(15)(OH)_(8)(H_(2)O)_(2)(DMF)](Ln=Nd(1)and Gd(2))were synthesized using a long Schiff base ligand with a Ph-O-Ph-O-Ph backbone(H_(2)L1)and a short tridentate aromatic ligand(H_(2)L_(2)).1 and 2 show grape-like structures with sizes of about 11×17×22A.In 1,the chromogenic ligands can sensitize the NIR luminescence of Nd^(3+)ions.Interestingly,1 exhibits luminescence response to both metal ions and nitro explosives,and shows high sensitivity to Cd^(2+),Zn_(2)+,Cu_(2)+and Co_(2)+ions and explosive HMX at the ppm level. 展开更多
