This study was chosen for evaluation because it strives to attach significance to explicit instruction in L2 acquisition, unlike other more recent research, which seeks to reinforce implicit instruction as it is viewed as the idealistic goal of language learning (Rebuschat & William, 2009). The present review will be developed by means of an evaluation of Alhossaini and her colleagues' study, consisting of a concise summary of the study, a classification of the philosophical perspective, the selection of criteria, and the strengths and weaknesses of the study. In this review, I hope that I succeed to broadly navigate the research enterprise, commencing with the philosophical perspective of research, such as the epistemological and ontological stances shaping the philosophical perspective and then colouring the research. Emotion cause extraction(ECE)task that aims at extracting potential trigger events of certain emotions has attracted extensive attention recently.However,current work neglects the implicit emotion expressed without any explicit emotional keywords,which appears more frequently in application scenarios.The lack of explicit emotion information makes it extremely hard to extract emotion causes only with the local context.Moreover,an entire event is usually across multiple clauses,while existing work merely extracts cause events at clause level and cannot effectively capture complete cause event information.To address these issues,the events are first redefined at the tuple level and a span-based tuple-level algorithm is proposed to extract events from different clauses.Based on it,a corpus for implicit emotion cause extraction that tries to extract causes of implicit emotions is constructed.The authors propose a knowledge-enriched jointlearning model of implicit emotion recognition and implicit emotion cause extraction tasks(KJ-IECE),which leverages commonsense knowledge from ConceptNet and NRC_VAD to better capture connections between emotion and corresponding cause events.Experiments on both implicit and explicit emotion cause extraction datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model. 展开更多

In recent years, there have been emergent interests in L2 learners' implicit lexical knowledge. Researchers employed psycholinguistic methods to investigate the online processing of formulaic sequences in L2 (idioms and collocations) and find evidence for holistic processing of the target linguistic sequences. This paper reviews and comments on lexical bundles and related concepts, trying to make clear this well focused research area in second language acquisition (SLA). Literature is reviewed and criticized on frequency effect in L2 learning, formulaic sequences, and implicit/explicit knowledge/learning, including their theoretical basis, methodology, and conclusion. In this paper, the author argues that sufficient practice, either receptive or productive, can turn explicit knowledge implicit, making it automatically accessed and retrieved. Suggestions on further study in lexical bundles are given. 展开更多

This research develops a knowledge model for Software Process Improvement (SPI) project based on knowledge creation theory and its twenty-four measurement items, and proposes two hypothesizes about the interaction of explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge in SPI. Eleven factors are extracted through statistical analysis. Three knowledge-creation practices for capturing tacit knowledge contribute greatly to SPI, which are communication among members, crossover collaboration in practical work and pair programming. Two knowledge-creation practices for capturing explicit knowledge have significant positive impact on SPI, which are integrating project document and on-the-job training. Ultimately, suggestions for improvement are put forward, that is, encouraging communication among staff and integrating documents in real time, and future research is also illustrated. 展开更多

In this paper, the conversion process has been dealt with the help of protocols. It is learned that while structure may significantly improve the tacit to explicit conversion process, it also may matter how the structure is employed. Objective: To explore the utilization of implicit nursing knowledge in the teaching of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing and to provide a reference for improving the quality and efficiency of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing work. Methods: Thirty-six trainee nurses working in the cardiovascular internal medicine department of our hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group of 18 trainees each. The control adopted the traditional teaching methods while the observation group adopted the implicit nursing knowledge in their clinical practice work. The assessment scores and teamwork ability of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results: The performance of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The teamwork ability of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group in teamwork ability (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Implicit nursing knowledge teaching is conducive to the cultivation of high-quality nursing talents and meets the development needs of hospitals. Therefore, the importance of implicit nursing knowledge should be strengthened in the teaching of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing and it should be comprehensively organized to improve the quality of nursing services. 展开更多

New Knowledge-based Genetic Algorithm for Excavator Boom Structural Optimization 被引量:6

Due to the insufficiency of utilizing knowledge to guide the complex optimal searching, existing genetic algorithms fail to effectively solve excavator boom structural optimization problem. To improve the optimization efficiency and quality, a new knowledge-based real-coded genetic algorithm is proposed. A dual evolution mechanism combining knowledge evolution with genetic algorithm is established to extract, handle and utilize the shallow and deep implicit constraint knowledge to guide the optimal searching of genetic algorithm circularly. Based on this dual evolution mechanism, knowledge evolution and population evolution can be connected by knowledge influence operators to improve the conflgurability of knowledge and genetic operators. Then, the new knowledge-based selection operator, crossover operator and mutation operator are proposed to integrate the optimal process knowledge and domain culture to guide the excavator boom structural optimization. Eight kinds of testing algorithms, which include different genetic operators, arc taken as examples to solve the structural optimization of a medium-sized excavator boom. By comparing the results of optimization, it is shown that the algorithm including all the new knowledge-based genetic operators can more remarkably improve the evolutionary rate and searching ability than other testing algorithms, which demonstrates the effectiveness of knowledge for guiding optimal searching. The proposed knowledge-based genetic algorithm by combining multi-level knowledge evolution with numerical optimization provides a new effective method for solving the complex engineering optimization problem. 展开更多

In this work,a method is put forward to obtain the dynamic solution efficiently and accurately for a large-scale train-track-substructure(TTS)system.It is called implicit-explicit integration and multi-time-step solution method(abbreviated as mI-nE-MTS method).The TTS system is divided into train-track subsystem and substruc-ture subsystem.Considering that the root cause of low effi-ciency of obtaining TTS solution lies in solving the alge-braic equation of the substructures,the high-efficient Zhai method,an explicit integration scheme,can be introduced to avoid matrix inversion process.The train-track system is solved by implicitly Park method.Moreover,it is known that the requirement of time step size differs for different sub-systems,integration methods and structural frequency response characteristics.A multi-time-step solution is pro-posed,in which time step size for the train-track subsystem and the substructure subsystem can be arbitrarily chosen once satisfying stability and precision demand,namely the time spent for m implicit integral steps is equal to n explicit integral steps,i.e.,mI=nE as mentioned above.The numeri-cal examples show the accuracy,efficiency,and engineering practicality of the proposed method. 展开更多

To study the durability of a passenger car, this work investigates numerical simulation techniques. The investigations are based on an explicit implicit approach in which substructure techniques are used to reduce the simulation time, allowing full vehicle dynamic analyses to be performed on a timescale that is dif cult or impossible with the conventional nite element model (FEM). The model used here includes all necessary nonlinearities in order to maintain accuracy. All key components of the car structure are modeled with deformable materials. Tire road interactions are modeled in the explicit package with contact-impact interfaces with arbitrary frictional and geometric properties. Key parameters of the responses of the car driven on six different kinds of test road surfaces are examined and compared with experimental values. It can be concluded that the explicit implicit co-simulation techniques used here are ef cient and accurate enough for engineering purposes. This paper also discusses the limitations of the proposed method and outlines possible improvements for future work. 展开更多

Set at the interface between second language acquisition and second language writing,this study examines how different types of written corrective feedback(WCF)influence the writing accuracy of Chinese college students learning English as a Foreign Language(EFL)and whether WCF facilitates the students’grasp of the focused linguistic knowledge.The participants(n=60)were divided into direct correction group(n=20),indirect error-coding group(n=20)and metalinguistic explanation group(n=20).The three groups wrote four essays in two months and received WCF for the first three essays on the five targeted error types,namely tense errors,confusion of different forms of a word,word(articles,prepositions,etc.)missing,errors in subjectverb agreement and inappropriate verb-noun collocations.The results show that all three types of WCF improved students’writing accuracy but none of them had any statistical advantage,and the metalinguistic WCF was more effective than the other two forms in facilitating the acquisition of the targeted linguistic features.These results shed some light on teaching and consolidation of language points through writing in EFL contexts. 展开更多
