Leaders’ expectations of innovation and employees’ innovative behavior: The roles of employees’ expected positive performance outcomes and innovative self-efficacy

Employees’innovative performance determines an organization’s innovation,which critically impacts its structural optimization and sustainability.Applying expectancy theory,we examined how and when the Pygmalion effect occurs in the relationship between leaders’expectations of innovation and employee innovative behavior.Our sample comprised 201 frontline employees(female=31.84%;mean age=41.48 years,SD=7.97 years)in a Chinese coal enterprise,who completed surveys on innovation expectations of leaders,expected positive performance outcomes,innovative self-efficacy and innovative behavior.The results revealed that employees’expected positive performance outcomes mediated the positive relationship between leaders’innovation expectations and their innovative behavior.Employees’innovative self-efficacy positively moderated the relationship between their expected positive performance outcomes and innovative behavior,with this relationship being stronger for employees with high innovative self-efficacy.Moreover,we validated the moderated mediation model.Findings suggest that leaders can stimulate employee innovative behavior through expressing expectations and they also need to consider the boundary conditions. 展开更多

Efficient edge caching is essential for maximizing utility in video streaming systems,especially under constraints such as limited storage capacity and dynamically fluctuating content popularity.Utility,defined as the benefit obtained per unit of cache bandwidth usage,degrades when static or greedy caching strategies fail to adapt to changing demand patterns.To address this,we propose a deep reinforcement learning(DRL)-based caching framework built upon the proximal policy optimization(PPO)algorithm.Our approach formulates edge caching as a sequential decision-making problem and introduces a reward model that balances cache hit performance and utility by prioritizing high-demand,high-quality content while penalizing degraded quality delivery.We construct a realistic synthetic dataset that captures both temporal variations and shifting content popularity to validate our model.Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method improves utility by up to 135.9%and achieves an average improvement of 22.6%compared to traditional greedy algorithms and long short-term memory(LSTM)-based prediction models.Moreover,our method consistently performs well across a variety of utility functions,workload distributions,and storage limitations,underscoring its adaptability and robustness in dynamic video caching environments. 展开更多

Grain boundary diffusion technology is pivotal in the preparation of high-performance NdFeB magnets.This study investigates the factors that affect the efficiency of grain boundary diffusion,starting from the properties of the diffusion matrix.Through the adjustment of the sintering process,we effectively prepared magnets with varied densities that serve as the matrix for grain boundary diffusion with TbH,diffusion.The mobility characteristics of the Nd-rich phase during the densification stage are leveraged to ensure a more extensive distribution of heavy rare earth elements within the magnets.According to the experimental results,the increase in coercivity of low-density magnets after diffusion is significantly greater than that of relatively high-density magnets.The coercivity values measured are 805.32 kA/m for low-density magnets and 470.3 kA/m for high-density magnets.Additionally,grain boundary diffusion notably enhances the density of initial low-density magnets,addressing the issue of low density during the sintering stage.Before the diffusion treatment,the Nd-rich phases primarily concentrate at the triangular grain boundaries,resulting in an increased number of cavity defects in the magnets.These cavity defects contain atoms in a higher energy state,making them more prone to transition.Consequently,the diffusion activation energy at the void defects is lower than the intracrystalline diffusion activation energy,accelerating atom diffusion.The presence of larger cavities also provides more space for atom migration,thereby promoting the diffusion process.After the diffusion treatment,the proportion of bulk Nd-rich phases significantly decreases,and they infiltrate between the grains to fill the cavity defects,forming continuous fine grain boundaries.Based on these observations,the study aims to explore how to utilize this information to develop an efficient technique for grain boundary diffusion. 展开更多

This article studies optimal consumption-leisure, portfolio and retirement selection of an infinitely lived investor whose preference is formulated by a-maxmin expected CES utility which is to differentiate ambiguity and ambiguity attitude. Adopting the recursive multiple- priors utility and the technique of backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs), we transform the (^-maxmin expected CES utility into a classical expected CES utility under a new probability measure related to the degree of an investor's uncertainty. Our model investi- gates the optimal consumption-leisure-work selection, the optimal portfolio selection, and the optimal stopping problem. In this model, the investor is able to adjust her supply of labor flex- ibly above a certain minimum work-hour along with a retirement option. The problem can be analytically solved by using a variational inequality. And the optimal retirement time is given as the first time when her wealth exceeds a certain critical level. The optimal consumption-leisure and portfolio strategies before and after retirement are provided in closed forms. Finally, the distinctions of optimal consumption-leisure, portfolio and critical wealth level under ambiguity from those with no vagueness are discussed. 展开更多

This paper investigates testable restrictions on the time-series behavior of consumption and asset returns implied by a representative agent model with the spirit of capitalism in which intertemporal preference is represented by a utility function that generalizes conventional,time-additive,expected utility.In the recursive structure of preference,the author examines the implication for cosumptions,portfolio holdings,and stock-market prices when investors accumulate wealth not only for the sake of consumption but also for wealth-induced social status.When investors care about relative social status,the propensity to consume and risk-taking behavior will depend on social standards,and stock prices will be volatible.Hence,the spirit of capitalism seems to be a driving force behind stock-market volatility and economic growth.Because the elasticity df substitution and the coefficient of relative risk aversion are independent and the spirit of capitalism is introduced,the equity premium puzzle can be partially explained in the model. 展开更多

In this paper, it is discussed a framework combining traditional expected utility and weighted entropy (EU-WE)—also named mean contributive value index—which may be conceived as a decision aiding procedure, or a heuristic device generating compositional scenarios, based on information theory concepts, namely weighted entropy. New proofs concerning the maximum value of the index and the evaluation of optimal proportions are outlined, with emphasis on the optimal value of the Lagrange multiplier and its meaning. The rationale is a procedure of maximizing the combined value of a system expressed as a mosaic, denoted by characteristic values of the states and their proportions. In the financial model, a part of insurers’ wealth is invested into the financial market. The repeated failures of any equipment or systems are modeled as a renewal process. The management needs an assessment of the number of future failures to allocate the resources needed for fast repairs. Based on the idea of expectation by conditioning, special Volterra-type integral equations are derived for general types of repairs, considering the length of repair and reduced degradation of the idle object. In addition to minimal repair and failure replacement, partial repairs are also discussed when the repair results in reduction of the number of future failures or decreases the effective age of the object. Numerical integration-based algorithm and simulation study are performed to solve the resulting integral equation. Since the geometry degradation in different dimensions of a rail track and controlling and maintaining defects are of importance, a numerical example using the rail industry data is conducted. Expected number of failures of different failure type modes in rail track is calculated within a two-year interval. Results show that within a two-year period, anticipated occurrences of cross level failures, surface failures, and DPI failures are 2.4, 3.8, and 5.8, respectively. 展开更多

Nowadays, the global climate is constantly being destroyed and the fluctuations in ambient temperature are becoming more frequent. However, conventional single-mode thermal management strategies(heating or cooling) failed to resolve such dynamic temperature changes. Moreover, developing thermal management devices capable of accommodating these temperature variations while remaining simple to fabricate and durable has remained a formidable obstacle. To address these bottlenecks, we design and successfully fabricate a novel dual-mode hierarchical(DMH) composite film featuring a micronanofiber network structure, achieved through a straightforward two-step continuous electrospinning process. In cooling mode, it presents a high solar reflectivity of up to 97.7% and an excellent atmospheric transparent window(ATW) infrared emissivity of up to 98.9%. Noted that this DMH film could realize a cooling of 8.1 ℃ compared to the ambient temperature outdoors. In heating mode, it also exhibits a high solar absorptivity of 94.7% and heats up to 11.9 ℃ higher than black cotton fabric when utilized by individuals. In practical application scenarios, a seamless transition between efficient cooling and heating is achieved by simply flipping the film. More importantly, the DMH film combining the benefits of composites demonstrates portability, durability, and easy-cleaning, promising to achieve large-scale production and use of thermally managed textiles in the future. The energy savings offered by film applications provide a viable solution for the early realization of carbon neutrality. 展开更多

Evolutionary algorithms(EAs)have been used in high utility itemset mining(HUIM)to address the problem of discover-ing high utility itemsets(HUIs)in the exponential search space.EAs have good running and mining performance,but they still require huge computational resource and may miss many HUIs.Due to the good combination of EA and graphics processing unit(GPU),we propose a parallel genetic algorithm(GA)based on the platform of GPU for mining HUIM(PHUI-GA).The evolution steps with improvements are performed in central processing unit(CPU)and the CPU intensive steps are sent to GPU to eva-luate with multi-threaded processors.Experiments show that the mining performance of PHUI-GA outperforms the existing EAs.When mining 90%HUIs,the PHUI-GA is up to 188 times better than the existing EAs and up to 36 times better than the CPU parallel approach. 展开更多

目的了解天津市2014—2021年不同区域人群的期望寿命变化,为促进医疗资源在不同区域间的均衡配置提供科学依据。方法数据来源于天津市疾病预防控制中心全人口全死因监测数据库中2014年1月至2021年12月全市户籍居民的死因资料。根据地理... 目的了解天津市2014—2021年不同区域人群的期望寿命变化,为促进医疗资源在不同区域间的均衡配置提供科学依据。方法数据来源于天津市疾病预防控制中心全人口全死因监测数据库中2014年1月至2021年12月全市户籍居民的死因资料。根据地理位置、经济水平和非农业人口比例划分城市地区、城乡结合地区和农村地区。采用SPSS 24.0软件计算疾病别和年龄别死亡数、死亡率、标化死亡率,采用简略寿命表计算期望寿命。采用Arriaga分解法计算不同年龄及疾病对期望寿命的影响。采用Joinpoint 4.3.1软件进行时间变化趋势分析。结果天津市户籍居民期望寿命从2014年的81.08岁增长到2021年的82.03岁,增长趋势有统计学意义(AAPC=0.14%,P<0.01)。城市地区期望寿命最高,城乡结合地区其次,农村地区最低,但地区间的差异随年份推移而逐渐缩小,城乡结合地区和城市地区的差距从2014年的2.61岁缩小至2021年的0.38岁,农村地区和城市地区的差距从2014年的3.61岁缩小至2021年的2.38岁。期望寿命增长的贡献率以60~74岁老年群体最高(44.57%)。期望寿命增长的正向贡献率前5位疾病依次为呼吸系统疾病(61.80%)、心脏病(51.60%)、脑血管病(27.12%)、恶性肿瘤(20.18%)和伤害(7.84%);负向贡献率前5位依次为糖尿病(-11.16%)、神经系统疾病(-10.54%)、肌肉骨骼和结缔组织疾病(-2.35%)、精神疾病(-2.29%)和消化系统疾病(-1.92%)。呼吸系统疾病在不同区域对期望寿命的影响均为正向,糖尿病均为负向。心脑血管疾病、恶性肿瘤及伤害对于期望寿命的影响因地域呈现出较大差异性。结论天津市不同区域期望寿命水平及影响因素有明显差异,需根据各区域特点制定有针对性的防控举措,以实现各区域期望寿命的稳步增长。 展开更多

刺果瓜是原产于美国东北部的一年生草质藤本攀援植物,最初因其观赏价值高而被广泛种植,现已扩散至欧洲、亚洲的部分国家和地区,给当地植物的生长造成严重威胁。由于入侵性极强,刺果瓜已经演变成有害的入侵杂草,严重危害我国农业生产、... 刺果瓜是原产于美国东北部的一年生草质藤本攀援植物,最初因其观赏价值高而被广泛种植,现已扩散至欧洲、亚洲的部分国家和地区,给当地植物的生长造成严重威胁。由于入侵性极强,刺果瓜已经演变成有害的入侵杂草,严重危害我国农业生产、城市绿化及生态环境。目前,对刺果瓜的入侵策略尚无系统的认识,本文通过综述刺果瓜的分布危害、营养和繁殖生长策略、竞争策略以及防治应用等研究现状,归纳其入侵策略和防治进展,以期为刺果瓜的防治工作提供参考。结果发现:刺果瓜成功入侵的关键在于多样化的适应策略和较强的传播扩散能力;其对农业生产及生态环境造成危害的主要原因在于攀援绞杀性和占据不同生态位;刺果瓜防治主要包括人工拔除、化学和生物防治等方法;刺果瓜在土壤修复、医药价值、农业利用等方面已有所应用。未来应加强刺果瓜在自然生境中的适应机制、应用开发和防治技术等研究。 展开更多

目的:探讨血液科医生对高级执业护师角色的认知与期望,为血液科高级执业护师岗位设置和执业内容设计提供参考。方法:采用目的抽样法,基于最大差异原则,于2023年1月—2月选取山西省4所三级甲等医院的13名血液科医生进行半结构式深度访谈... 目的:探讨血液科医生对高级执业护师角色的认知与期望,为血液科高级执业护师岗位设置和执业内容设计提供参考。方法:采用目的抽样法,基于最大差异原则,于2023年1月—2月选取山西省4所三级甲等医院的13名血液科医生进行半结构式深度访谈,运用Colaizzi 7步分析法进行意义构建、主题聚类、反馈核实。结果:共提炼出5个主题:复杂临床护理问题的解决者、护士执业范畴内的自主决策者、促进医护患密切合作的协调者、深耕血液护理专业的教育者、引领血液护理专业发展的研究者。结论:血液科医生认为临床实践需要高级执业护师角色,对高级执业护师的角色有较为明确的期望。 展开更多

目的对非奈利酮联合标准方案治疗糖尿病肾病(DN)的经济性进行评价。方法基于我国医疗服务提供者角度,在一项非奈利酮治疗DN的Ⅲ期临床试验基础上,建立非奈利酮联合标准治疗方案和标准治疗方案治疗DN的Markov模型,模拟周期为4个月,模拟... 目的对非奈利酮联合标准方案治疗糖尿病肾病(DN)的经济性进行评价。方法基于我国医疗服务提供者角度,在一项非奈利酮治疗DN的Ⅲ期临床试验基础上,建立非奈利酮联合标准治疗方案和标准治疗方案治疗DN的Markov模型,模拟周期为4个月,模拟时限为15年,年贴现率为5%,模拟非奈利酮联合标准治疗方案和标准治疗方案治疗DN患者终身的效果与成本;同时进行单因素敏感性分析、概率敏感性分析,以检验结果的稳健性。结果标准治疗方案的累计成本为579329.54元,累计效用为8.0524质量调整生命年(QALYs);非奈利酮联合标准治疗方案的累计成本为332520.61元,累计效用为8.1874 QALYs。非奈利酮联合标准治疗方案的成本更低且效果更好。单因素敏感性分析结果显示,透析、DN3及DN4状态的效用值对增量成本-效果比的影响较大,但未影响模型的稳健性。概率敏感性分析结果显示,非奈利酮联合标准治疗方案更具经济性的概率为100%。结论对于DN患者,使用非奈利酮联合标准治疗方案更具有经济性,为绝对优势方案。 展开更多
