This letter describes the implementation of a high-precision time and frequency transmission system using a two-way and wavelength division multiplexing scheme over 3,143.6 km of field fiber links,connecting 21 sites ...This letter describes the implementation of a high-precision time and frequency transmission system using a two-way and wavelength division multiplexing scheme over 3,143.6 km of field fiber links,connecting 21 sites between Xi’an and Beijing,China.This scheme incorporates a link noise clean-up system(LNCUS),wherein a controlled very-low-phase noise BVA oscillator acts as an internal frequency source at the relay site to effectively suppress the interference caused by the fiber link noise.Additionally,the high-stability pulse generation technology in the LNCPS provides sufficient short-term stability to significantly improve the stability of the fiber time transfer.The results indicate a time transfer stability in terms of time deviation(TDEV)of less than2.07 ps@1s,5.9 ps@100,000s,and combined uncertainty of less than 49.29 ps for the 3,143.6 km field fiber link.The results represent a significant breakthrough in achieving high-accuracy time transfer and continuous operation over ultralong-span field optical fibers exceeding 3,000 km for the first time.This enabled time transfer and synchronization services over the longest international optical fiber distance,thereby establishing a fundamental basis for constructing a nationwide high-precision time service through optical fiber networks.展开更多

Polarization control and modulation of optical signals play a crucial role in optical information transmission,with widespread applications in optical communication,sensing,and signal processing.Here,we propose an int...Polarization control and modulation of optical signals play a crucial role in optical information transmission,with widespread applications in optical communication,sensing,and signal processing.Here,we propose an intrinsically chiral nano-kirigami metasurface featuring out-of-plane twisting,which enables switchable spinselective light transmission.At the operating wavelength,it nearly completely blocks the transmission of one type of circularly polarized light while maintaining a transmission exceeding 70%for the other type.Crucially,by merely adjusting the rotation angles or deformation heights of the four arms of the nano-kirigami structures,the metasurface can switch from selective transmission of left-handed circularly polarized light to right-handed circularly polarized light,and vice versa,without the need for dramatic structural geometric chirality changes through mirror operations.Simultaneously,a remarkable circular dichroism of up to 0.74 is achieved,and its sign reverses with the transition of transmission.Electromagnetic multipolar analysis reveals that this switching of chiral response is governed by handedness-dependent excitations of toroidal dipole modes.Additionally,the spin-encoded near-field imaging results demonstrate the potential applications of this switchable spin-selective transmission based on nano-kirigami metasurfaces in digital imaging and chiroptical encryption.展开更多

Radial-Additive Friction Stir Repairing(R-AFSR),which has been developed in recent years for the exceeded tolerance hole,is an innovative technology to realize the one-step repairing.Enhancing the repair strength of e...Radial-Additive Friction Stir Repairing(R-AFSR),which has been developed in recent years for the exceeded tolerance hole,is an innovative technology to realize the one-step repairing.Enhancing the repair strength of exceeded tolerance hole is necessary and meaningful from the perspective of suiting more and more wide-scrapped equipment in the industrial field.UltrasonicAssisted R-AFSR(UA-RAFSR)is proposed as a strategy to achieve the 2024 aluminum(Al)alloy repaired hole with high strength.Analyses of microstructure formation indicate that the addition of ultrasonic eliminated the kissing bond and“S”line,refined the grain size,enlarged the interfacial bonding area and enhanced the atomic diffusion.Thus,the mechanical properties of 2024 Al alloy repaired hole were heightened by ultrasonic,and the maximum compressive shear and tensile strengths respectively reached 214.5 MPa and 297.3 MPa,which were 98.6% and 94.0% of those of the standard mechanical hole.The research results confirm that the UA-RAFSR is a powerful technology for the nearly-equal-strength repair of exceeded tolerance hole.展开更多
As a typical secondary air pollutant,surface ozone has been monitored routinely since 2013 in China.Most studies on the spatiotemporal variation of ozone have been centered around the daily maximum 8-h average,with li...As a typical secondary air pollutant,surface ozone has been monitored routinely since 2013 in China.Most studies on the spatiotemporal variation of ozone have been centered around the daily maximum 8-h average,with little attention paid to the trends of hourly ozone,especially hourly ozone exceedances.Focusing on hourly ozone exceedances and peak values,the spatiotemporal trends of hourly ozone at 77 sites in 13 cities of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region during 2017-2021 were analyzed in this study.The number of hours with exceedances(N_(H200))in 2019 was nearly three times that of 2021.On a five-year average,the percentage of cumulative NH200 in June accounted for up to 40.5%of all hourly exceedances.Cities in central Hebei Province had the highest cumulative annual N_(H200).June had the highest average hourly ozone exceeded multiples of 0.158.The top two cities with the highest average exceeded multiple were Tangshan(0.166)and Beijing(0.158).Tangshan and Xingtai ranked as the top two in terms of the mean of the 10 highest daily maximum ozone concentrations(MTDM),with 286.74 and 285.37μg m^(−3),respectively.The gap between the MTDM and the daily maximum of hourly ozone averaged over all sites had narrowed to 97.88μg m^(−3) in 2021,much lower than that in other years,which indicated that the stability and convergence of ozone pollution in BTH region had been enhanced in 2021 to some extent.展开更多
Pasteurella multocida(PM)has been infecting a variety of hosts for a long time,causing sustained economic losses worldwide;however,there have been limited studies on its extensive adaptability(Aktories et al.2012).Ana...Pasteurella multocida(PM)has been infecting a variety of hosts for a long time,causing sustained economic losses worldwide;however,there have been limited studies on its extensive adaptability(Aktories et al.2012).Analysis of strains data collected in our laboratory revealed that PM typically acquires foreign genes through transformation and conjugation,rather than transformation and fusion.Integrative and conjugative elements(ICEs)are a crucial mechanism that leads to abrupt changes in niche preferences and enhances environmental adaptability for bacteria,with their number far exceeding the number of plasmids and phages(Wozniak and Waldor 2010;Johnson and Grossman 2015;Botelho and Schulenburg 2021).Previous research has shown that the European bovine-sourced strain Pm36950 contains the experimentally transferable resistant ICEPmu1,which could integrate into the host chromosome or forming a circular intermediate(Michael et al.2012).Additionally,a few studies have suggested that PM strains isolated from European bovine and Asian swine might contain ICEs,but these claims lack experimental verification(Klima et al.2014;Moustafa et al.2015;Kadlec et al.2017;Peng et al.2017;Beker et al.2018;Schink et al.2022).Currently,there is no data available on ICE-carrying PM strains isolated from hosts outside of European cattle or Chinses swine.This letter presents a report on a novel ICE identified in the hypervirulent and multidrug-resistant PM HN141014 strain isolated from Chinese duck.The ICE was specifically analyzed for its resistance genes,transferable capacity and host diversity.展开更多

Metal contacts to two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors are crucial for determining the electrical performance of electronic devices.However,traditional three-dimensional metal deposition processes cause damage to 2D semi...Metal contacts to two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors are crucial for determining the electrical performance of electronic devices.However,traditional three-dimensional metal deposition processes cause damage to 2D semiconductors and considerable Fermi-level-pinning effects.In this study,a hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)-assisted transfer method was proposed for transferring metal contacts to few-layered InSe for fabricating 2D functional electronic devices.Using the transferred Pt electrodes as the contact,p-type dominated ambipolar conduction behavior with the hole Schottky barrier height(SBH)approaching 0meV was observed in field-effect transistors(FETs)comprising multilayered InSe.Based on this phenomenon,several InSe homojunctions were fabricated using a dual-gate modulating method such as p-p,n-n,p-n,and n-p.For InSe p-n homojunctions,a current rectification ratio of over 104 and optoelectronic detection capabilities were achieved.Furthermore,a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)inverter with an ultra-high voltage gain exceeding 60 at VDD=−1V was fabricated.The proposed h-BN-assisted metal contact transfer method can be easily extended to other 2D semiconductors for fabricating complementary electronic and optoelectronic devices.展开更多

In this study, the third-generation wave model WAVEWATCH Ⅲ is employed to simulate wave fields under extreme sea states. The model, integrating the ST6 source term, is validated against observed data, demonstrating its credibility. The spatial distribution of the occurrence probability of strong nonlinear waves during typhoons is shown, and the waves in the straits and the northeastern part of the South China Sea show strong nonlinear characteristics. The high-order spectral model HOS-ocean is employed to simulate the random wave surface series beneath five different platform areas. The waves during the typhoon exhibit strong nonlinear characteristics, and freak waves exist. The space-varying probability model is established to describe the short-term probability distribution of nonlinear wave series. The exceedance probability distributions of the wave surface beneath different platform areas are compared and analyzed. The results show that with an increase in the platform area, the probability of a strong nonlinear wave beneath the platform increases.展开更多

From April 2020 to June 2022,a Ca+lidar with dual-wavelength and narrow-band emitting lasers utilizing all-solid-state technology was employed to conduct observations in Beijing(40.41°N,116.01°E)for a total ...From April 2020 to June 2022,a Ca+lidar with dual-wavelength and narrow-band emitting lasers utilizing all-solid-state technology was employed to conduct observations in Beijing(40.41°N,116.01°E)for a total duration of 1797.79 hours over 280 nights.A total of 286 sporadic Ca+layers were observed,with heights ranging from 88 to 120 km and densities varying from 5.33 to 2200 cm^(-3).We simultaneously observed the ionosonde,located 28 km from the lidar,and found a correlation of 61.89%between the sporadic Ca+layer and the sporadic E layer.When the sporadic Ca+layer has a downward phase trend,there is a correlation of 76.84%.By excluding the influence of ionosonde sensitivity,we focus only on calcium ions that have a density exceeding 140 cm^(-3),which exhibit a correlation of82.25%.Above 100 km,the correlation significantly increases,reaching approximately 90%.Furthermore,the correlation between the sporadic Ca+layer and the sporadic E layer is particularly noticeable during the summer season,reaching around 90%.This phenomenon can be attributed to the variations in metal ions that occur during different seasons.展开更多

文摘Radial-Additive Friction Stir Repairing(R-AFSR),which has been developed in recent years for the exceeded tolerance hole,is an innovative technology to realize the one-step repairing.Enhancing the repair strength of exceeded tolerance hole is necessary and meaningful from the perspective of suiting more and more wide-scrapped equipment in the industrial field.UltrasonicAssisted R-AFSR(UA-RAFSR)is proposed as a strategy to achieve the 2024 aluminum(Al)alloy repaired hole with high strength.Analyses of microstructure formation indicate that the addition of ultrasonic eliminated the kissing bond and“S”line,refined the grain size,enlarged the interfacial bonding area and enhanced the atomic diffusion.Thus,the mechanical properties of 2024 Al alloy repaired hole were heightened by ultrasonic,and the maximum compressive shear and tensile strengths respectively reached 214.5 MPa and 297.3 MPa,which were 98.6% and 94.0% of those of the standard mechanical hole.The research results confirm that the UA-RAFSR is a powerful technology for the nearly-equal-strength repair of exceeded tolerance hole.

文摘As a typical secondary air pollutant,surface ozone has been monitored routinely since 2013 in China.Most studies on the spatiotemporal variation of ozone have been centered around the daily maximum 8-h average,with little attention paid to the trends of hourly ozone,especially hourly ozone exceedances.Focusing on hourly ozone exceedances and peak values,the spatiotemporal trends of hourly ozone at 77 sites in 13 cities of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region during 2017-2021 were analyzed in this study.The number of hours with exceedances(N_(H200))in 2019 was nearly three times that of 2021.On a five-year average,the percentage of cumulative NH200 in June accounted for up to 40.5%of all hourly exceedances.Cities in central Hebei Province had the highest cumulative annual N_(H200).June had the highest average hourly ozone exceeded multiples of 0.158.The top two cities with the highest average exceeded multiple were Tangshan(0.166)and Beijing(0.158).Tangshan and Xingtai ranked as the top two in terms of the mean of the 10 highest daily maximum ozone concentrations(MTDM),with 286.74 and 285.37μg m^(−3),respectively.The gap between the MTDM and the daily maximum of hourly ozone averaged over all sites had narrowed to 97.88μg m^(−3) in 2021,much lower than that in other years,which indicated that the stability and convergence of ozone pollution in BTH region had been enhanced in 2021 to some extent.

文摘Pasteurella multocida(PM)has been infecting a variety of hosts for a long time,causing sustained economic losses worldwide;however,there have been limited studies on its extensive adaptability(Aktories et al.2012).Analysis of strains data collected in our laboratory revealed that PM typically acquires foreign genes through transformation and conjugation,rather than transformation and fusion.Integrative and conjugative elements(ICEs)are a crucial mechanism that leads to abrupt changes in niche preferences and enhances environmental adaptability for bacteria,with their number far exceeding the number of plasmids and phages(Wozniak and Waldor 2010;Johnson and Grossman 2015;Botelho and Schulenburg 2021).Previous research has shown that the European bovine-sourced strain Pm36950 contains the experimentally transferable resistant ICEPmu1,which could integrate into the host chromosome or forming a circular intermediate(Michael et al.2012).Additionally,a few studies have suggested that PM strains isolated from European bovine and Asian swine might contain ICEs,but these claims lack experimental verification(Klima et al.2014;Moustafa et al.2015;Kadlec et al.2017;Peng et al.2017;Beker et al.2018;Schink et al.2022).Currently,there is no data available on ICE-carrying PM strains isolated from hosts outside of European cattle or Chinses swine.This letter presents a report on a novel ICE identified in the hypervirulent and multidrug-resistant PM HN141014 strain isolated from Chinese duck.The ICE was specifically analyzed for its resistance genes,transferable capacity and host diversity.

文摘The human brain has exceedingly high metabolic demands.The cerebral vasculature has the critical task of providing sufficient blood supply to meet this demand.The sudden interruption of blood flow to the brain,as observed during ischemic stroke,results in acute neurological injury with devastating consequences-a high rate of adult disability and death.Ischemic stroke is thus a vascular disorder with a dramatic neurological impact.There is an urgent need for more effective disease management to combat stroke as current treatment paradigms,focusing on vascular recanalization and neuroprotection,have only limited clinical success.Since accumulating data suggests successful long-term neuroprotection is unlikely to be achievable without a functional microvascular network,strategies that reduce endothelial dysfunction could be indispensable.Encouragingly,very recent evidence highlighted herein suggests protecting the humble pericyte may be a new approach to reaching this goal.
文摘Metal contacts to two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors are crucial for determining the electrical performance of electronic devices.However,traditional three-dimensional metal deposition processes cause damage to 2D semiconductors and considerable Fermi-level-pinning effects.In this study,a hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)-assisted transfer method was proposed for transferring metal contacts to few-layered InSe for fabricating 2D functional electronic devices.Using the transferred Pt electrodes as the contact,p-type dominated ambipolar conduction behavior with the hole Schottky barrier height(SBH)approaching 0meV was observed in field-effect transistors(FETs)comprising multilayered InSe.Based on this phenomenon,several InSe homojunctions were fabricated using a dual-gate modulating method such as p-p,n-n,p-n,and n-p.For InSe p-n homojunctions,a current rectification ratio of over 104 and optoelectronic detection capabilities were achieved.Furthermore,a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)inverter with an ultra-high voltage gain exceeding 60 at VDD=−1V was fabricated.The proposed h-BN-assisted metal contact transfer method can be easily extended to other 2D semiconductors for fabricating complementary electronic and optoelectronic devices.

文摘The generation and propagation mechanism of strong nonlinear waves in the South China Sea is an essential research area. In this study, the third-generation wave model WAVEWATCH Ⅲ is employed to simulate wave fields under extreme sea states. The model, integrating the ST6 source term, is validated against observed data, demonstrating its credibility. The spatial distribution of the occurrence probability of strong nonlinear waves during typhoons is shown, and the waves in the straits and the northeastern part of the South China Sea show strong nonlinear characteristics. The high-order spectral model HOS-ocean is employed to simulate the random wave surface series beneath five different platform areas. The waves during the typhoon exhibit strong nonlinear characteristics, and freak waves exist. The space-varying probability model is established to describe the short-term probability distribution of nonlinear wave series. The exceedance probability distributions of the wave surface beneath different platform areas are compared and analyzed. The results show that with an increase in the platform area, the probability of a strong nonlinear wave beneath the platform increases.

文摘From April 2020 to June 2022,a Ca+lidar with dual-wavelength and narrow-band emitting lasers utilizing all-solid-state technology was employed to conduct observations in Beijing(40.41°N,116.01°E)for a total duration of 1797.79 hours over 280 nights.A total of 286 sporadic Ca+layers were observed,with heights ranging from 88 to 120 km and densities varying from 5.33 to 2200 cm^(-3).We simultaneously observed the ionosonde,located 28 km from the lidar,and found a correlation of 61.89%between the sporadic Ca+layer and the sporadic E layer.When the sporadic Ca+layer has a downward phase trend,there is a correlation of 76.84%.By excluding the influence of ionosonde sensitivity,we focus only on calcium ions that have a density exceeding 140 cm^(-3),which exhibit a correlation of82.25%.Above 100 km,the correlation significantly increases,reaching approximately 90%.Furthermore,the correlation between the sporadic Ca+layer and the sporadic E layer is particularly noticeable during the summer season,reaching around 90%.This phenomenon can be attributed to the variations in metal ions that occur during different seasons.

文摘Dear Editor,Deep brain stimulation targeting the subthalamic nucleus(STN-DBS)can relieve motor symptoms in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease(PD).The efficacy of DBS is strongly dependent on stimulus frequency,typically exceeding 100 Hz[1].However,the mechanism underlying this high-frequency dependence remains unelucidated.DBS likely acts via several,nonexclusive mechanisms,including local and network-wide electrical and neurochemical effects,modulation of oscillatory activity,synaptic plasticity,and potentially neuroprotection and neurogenesis.Nonetheless,none of these fully explains the high-frequency dependence and the rapid therapeutic action of DBS.
