Plug-and-play technology is an important direction for future development of spacecraft and how to design controllers with less communication burden and satisfactory performance is of great importance for plug-and-play spacecraft. Considering attitude tracking of such spacecraft with unknown inertial parameters and unknown disturbances, an event-triggered adaptive backstepping controller is designed in this paper. Particularly, a switching threshold strategy is employed to design the event-triggering mechanism. By introducing a new linear time-varying model, a smooth function, an integrable auxiliary signal and a bound estimation approach, the impacts of the network-induced error and the disturbances are effectively compensated for and Zeno phenomenon is successfully avoided. It is shown that all signals of the closed-loop system are globally uniformly bounded and both the attitude tracking error and the angular velocity tracking error converge to zero. Compared with conventional control schemes, the proposed scheme significantly reduces the communication burden while providing stable and accurate response for attitude maneuvers. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

In this paper, an event-triggered sliding mode control approach for trajectory tracking problem of nonlinear input affine system with disturbance has been proposed. A second order robotic manipulator system has been modeled into a general nonlinear input affine system. Initially, the global asymptotic stability is ensured with conventional periodic sampling approach for reference trajectory tracking. Then the proposed approach of event-triggered sliding mode control is discussed which guarantees semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness. The proposed control approach guarantees non-accumulation of control updates ensuring lower bounds on inter-event triggering instants avoiding Zeno behavior in presence of the disturbance. The system shows better performance in terms of reduced control updates, ensures system stability which further guarantees optimization of resource usage and cost. The simulation results are provided for validation of proposed methodology for tracking problem by a robotic manipulator. The number of aperiodic control updates is found to be approximately 44% and 61% in the presence of constant and time-varying disturbances respectively. 展开更多

More specifically, the main purpose is to design event-triggered mechanisms that trigger transmissions when the difference between the current value of the system and its previously transmitted value which includes the plant output or the function observer output exceeds an additional threshold. For such an eventtriggered mechanism, we derive conditions in terms of matrix inequality to guarantee the stability as well as longer inter-event time. We propose two approaches to investigate the closed-loop model, namely, reformulating the event-triggered control system as a hybrid system and interpreting the event-induced error as exogenous disturbance. Furthermore, the minimum inter-event time is guaranteed to be strictly positive. Firstly,a fault diagnosis observer is designed to estimate both the fault and the state simultaneously by using the event-triggered sampled output. Some H∞constraints between the estimation errors and the event-triggered sampling mechanism are established to ensure the estimation accuracy. Then, based on the constraints and the obtained fault information, an event-triggered detector and a static fault tolerant controller are co-designed to guarantee the stability of the faulty system and to reduce the sensor communication cost.Furthermore, the problem of the event detector and dynamic FTC co-design is also investigated. Simulation results of an unstable batch reactor are finally provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

This paper deals with the communication problem in the distributed system, considering the limited battery power in the wireless network and redundant transmission among nodes. We design an event-triggered model predictive control(ET-MPC) strategy to reduce the unnecessary communication while promising the system performance. On one hand, for a linear discrete time-invariant system, a triggering condition is derived based on the Lyapunov stability. Here, in order to further reduce the communication rate, we enforce a triggering condition only when the Lyapunov function will exceed its value at the last triggered time, but an average decrease is guaranteed. On the other hand, the feasibility is ensured by minimizing and optimizing the terminal constrained set between the maximal control invariant set and the target terminal set. Finally, we provide a simulation to verify the theoretical results. It's shown that the proposed strategy achieves a good trade-off between the closed-loop system performance and communication rate. 展开更多

In recent years, theoretical and practical research on event-based communication strategies has gained considerable research attention due primarily to their irreplaceable superiority in resource-constrained systems(especially networked systems). For networked systems, event-based transmission scheme is capable of improving the efficiency in resource utilization and prolonging the lifetime of the network components compared with the widely adopted periodic transmission scheme. As such, it would be interesting to 1) examining how the event-triggering mechanisms affect the control or filtering performance for networked systems, and 2) developing some suitable approaches for the controller and filter design problems. In this paper, a bibliographical review is presented on event-based control and filtering problems for various networked systems. First, the event-driven communication scheme is introduced in detail according to its engineering background, characteristic, and representative research frameworks. Then, different event-based control and filtering(or state estimation) problems are categorized and then discussed. Finally, we conclude the paper by outlining future research challenges for event-based networked systems. 展开更多

Several advantages of the network architectures include reduced system wiring, plug and play devices,increased system agility, and ease of system diagnosis and maintenance. Consequently, networked control is the current trend for industrial automation and has ever-increasing applications in a wide range of areas, such as smart grids, manufacturing systems,process control, automobiles, automated highway systems, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The modelling, analysis, and control of networked control systems have received considerable attention in the last two decades. The ‘control over networks’ is one of the key research directions for networked control systems. This paper aims at presenting a survey of trends and techniques in networked control systems from the perspective of ‘control over networks’, providing a snapshot of five control issues: sampled-data control, quantization control, networked control, event-triggered control, and security control. A novel learning-based attack detection and estimation scheme is proposed for linear networked control systems(NCS),wherein the attacks on the communication network in the feedback loop are expected to increase network induced delays and packet losses,thus changing the physical system dynamics.First,the network traffic flow is modeled as a linear system with uncertain state matrix and an optimal Q-learning based control scheme over finite-horizon is utilized to stabilize the flow.Next,an adaptive observer is proposed to generate the detection residual,which is subsequently used to determine the onset of an attack when it exceeds a predefined threshold,followed by an estimation scheme for the signal injected by the attacker.A stochastic linear system after incorporating network-induced random delays and packet losses is considered as the uncertain physical system dynamics.The attack detection scheme at the physical system uses the magnitude of the state vector to detect attacks both on the sensor and the actuator.The maximum tolerable delay that the physical system can tolerate due to networked induced delays and packet losses is also derived.Simulations have been performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed schemes. 展开更多

为解决传统欠驱动船舶-无人机(underactuated surface vessel-unmanned aerial vehicle, USV-UAV)搜寻任务中机船位置固定的局限以及控制系统中存在的控制输入频繁抖振、模型非线性参数不确定等问题,提出一种基于异步搜寻制导的无人机... 为解决传统欠驱动船舶-无人机(underactuated surface vessel-unmanned aerial vehicle, USV-UAV)搜寻任务中机船位置固定的局限以及控制系统中存在的控制输入频繁抖振、模型非线性参数不确定等问题,提出一种基于异步搜寻制导的无人机船事件触发控制算法。首先,设计一种异步搜寻制导方法,利用L1虚拟船舶(L1-based virtual surface vessel,L1VV)和L1虚拟无人机(L1-based virtual unmanned aerial vehicle,L1VA)生成满足搜寻要求的制导路径。其次,在径向基函数神经网络(radius based function neural network, RBF-NN)基础上结合最小学习参数(minimal learning parameter,MLP)方法对系统未知模型参数的非线性项进行在线逼近并化简。在控制律的设计上,应用动态事件触发控制并结合干扰补偿机制以实现在满足精度的同时,降低控制输入的更新频率。最后,利用李雅普诺夫稳定性理论证明所提控制算法满足半全局一致最终有界稳定,并进一步在仿真实验中验证了所提算法的有效性。 展开更多
