Methods: in this study, the questionnaire was filled out, and 100 nursing students were selected from 2018 to 2020. Results: according to the survey data, 80.2% (77) of them were very satisfied with the nursing work of the department. After the internship of guidance and teaching, 72.9% (70) of them still had common diseases and professional nursing knowledge. Conclusion: through the data display, it can be known that for the practice nursing students, choosing humanistic teaching method can effectively improve the students' learning situation and satisfaction, fully improve their own nursing technology and application of nursing knowledge, and better serve the patients. 展开更多

Discussion on the Effect of PACS System in Medical Imaging Practice Teaching

Methods: 120 students who came to our department for internship from August 2019 to August 2020 were selected as research objects and randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group adopted traditional multimedia teaching and the observation group adopted PACS system practice teaching. The assessment results and teaching satisfaction of the two groups of students were analyzed and compared. Results: after the two groups received different teaching interventions, the examination results and teaching satisfaction of students in the observation group were significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was significant and statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: in the practice teaching of medical imaging, the use of PACS system teaching has a better teaching effect. It is worth learning and popularizing. 展开更多

Test-Retest Reliability, Convergent Validity and Practice Effects of the RBANS in a Memory Clinic Setting: A Pilot Study

This pilot study examined the psychometric properties and clinical utility of a brief neuropsychological instrument (Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS). The test-retest reliability, practice effects and convergent validity of RBANS were examined in participants without objective cognitive impairment. The tests were administered at two time points at approximately a two weeks’ interval, with 30 cognitively intact participants with a mean age of 63.3 ± 5.8 years. Adequate test-retest reliabilities were found for RBANS subtests, index and total scale scores with significant gain scores in immediate memory and visuospatial function. The RBANS showed good convergent validity and the RBANS supplemented with executive and language measures (Colour Trails Test and 30-item modified Boston Naming Test, respectively) demonstrated excellent convergent validity with a formal neuropsychological battery. This pilot study has provided the preliminary evidence of reliability and convergent validity of the RBANS. Additionally, it also provides insight on the practice effects so that clinicians may assess significant changes in RBANS subtests and domain indexes for clinical practice. 展开更多

BACKGROUND With the continuous development and progress of medical technology,the position of surgical nursing in the field of clinical medicine is becoming in-creasingly prominent.As an important branch of the surgical field,the nursing requirements and difficulty of gastrointestinal surgery are also increasing.In order to improve the teaching quality of nursing care in gastrointestinal surgery,many educators and researchers are actively exploring new teaching methods.Among them,the teaching method case-based learning(CBL),scene-simulated learning(SSL),task-based learning(TBL),combining self-evaluation and training mode is considered as an effective method.This method aims to help students to better master knowledge and skills and improve their comprehensive quality by cultivating their self-evaluation ability.AIM To explore the practical effect of CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode and student self-assessment in nursing teaching of gastrointestinal surgery.METHODS Seventy-one nursing interns in our hospital from December 2020 to December 2021 were selected.According to different teaching modes,they were divided into observation group CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode combined with student self-assessment and control group(conventional teaching mode),of which 36 were in observation group and 35 were in control group.The results of operational skills,theoretical knowledge,nursing students'satisfaction,learning effectiveness questionnaire and teaching effect were compared between the two groups.RESULTS Compared between the two groups,the operational skills and theoretical knowledge scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the total satisfaction ratio of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the observation group was lower than the control group in the questionnaire results of learning efficacy,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the proportion of thinking ability,subjective initiative and understanding of theoretical knowledge in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The use of CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode and student self-assessment in gastrointestinal surgery nursing teaching can improve the operational skills of nursing interns,theoretical knowledge and satisfaction scores of nursing students,improve the results of learning efficiency questionnaire and teaching effect,which can be popularized in clinical teaching. 展开更多

Results: the critical thinking ability of nursing students in the experimental group taught by CDIO mode was significantly better than that in the traditional teaching control group;The difference was significant (P < 0.05);The communication ability of nursing students in the experimental group taught by CDIO mode was significantly better than that in the traditional teaching control group;The difference was significant (P < 0.05). Nitrogen(N)priming is a microbially mediated biochemical process as affected by different incorporation practices.However,little information is known about the microbial mechanisms driving the response of N priming to co-operation of Chinese milk vetch(CMV,Astragalus sinicus L.)and different rates of chemical fertilizers in paddy soils in South China.Here,an anaerobic incubation experiment was conducted to study N priming effects(PE)and their relationships with soil microbial functional genes after CMV incorporation alone(M),co-incorporation of CMV with 100%(normal dosage)chemical fertilizers(MC100),and co-incorporation of CMV with 80% chemical fertilizers(MC80).Co-incorporation of CMV and chemical fertilizers enhanced the short-time scale(the first 20 d of incubation)positive PE of N,while no significant differences existed among the three treatments on day 60 or 90 of incubation(P>0.05).Compared with the M treatment,gross priming effect(GPE)in the MC100 and MC80 treatments significantly increased by 34.0% and 31.3%,respectively,and net priming effect(NPE)increased by 47.7% and 47.8%,respectively,during the first 20 d of incubation(P<0.05).This was likely attributed to soil nutrient availability and added substrate quality.The MC100 and MC80 treatments increased the gdhA gene abundance by 5.0% and 9.8%,increased the gdh2 gene abundance by 12.7% and 45.7%,and increased the nasB gene abundance by 9.5% and 41.4%,respectively,in comparison with the M treatment on day 20 of incubation.Correlation analyses indicated that soil microbial functional genes involved in N mineralization(gdhA and gdh2),assimilatory nitrate reduction(nasB),and nitrification(amoB)were significantly correlated with N priming under different incorporation practices during the incubation period(P<0.05).Thus,co-incorporation of CMV and chemical fertilizers can regulate soil microbial community functional gene structure,which may accelerate mineralization and assimilatory nitrate reduction and inhibit nitrification,thereby increasing the short-term positive PE of N in the present study. 展开更多

Based on the CIPP(context,input,process,and product)model,this paper constructs an index system suitable for evaluating the teaching effect of VBSE(virtual business social environment)practical training from four aspects:context evaluation,input evaluation,process evaluation,and product evaluation.Taking the students participating in VBSE practical training in X university as the survey population,381 valid sample data were obtained through an online questionnaire survey,and the index weights were determined by factor analysis method.The score value of the VBSE practical training teaching effect was calculated based on the evaluation mean value of three indexes.The results showed that the context evaluation score was 1.56,the input evaluation score was 1.54,the process evaluation score was 1.51,and the product evaluation score was 1.48.Subsequently,this paper put forward some countermeasures from the aspects of optimizing course arrangement,improving hardware facilities,and enhancing team cooperation to provide a guideline for improving the effect of VBSE practical training. 展开更多

WE expanded Decomposition-Denitrification (DNDC)modeling study to systematically assess the potential effect of farming practice on N<sub>2</sub>O emission by choosing a corn-rape rotation and a soybean-winterwheat rotation field in Guizhou Province, westsouthern China, asN<sub>2</sub>O emission from subtropical agricultural soil study plots. These sensitivity studies address questions relevant to issue of how change in fanning practice might be used to mitigate emissions. Manure additions had the most pronounced impact on N<sub>2</sub>O emissions of farming practice simulatedand the influence of manure addition was nonlinear (fig. 1). This result is consistent with previous studies for an Iowa corn field. The addition of manure remarkably elevates the level of organic carbon, enhances soil nitrogen mineralization, and increases the efficiency of N<sub>2</sub>O production. Newborn care practices: A case study of tribal women, Gujarat

Plateaued rate of decline in neonatal mortality rate is one of the major obstacles in achieving Millennium Development Goal 4 especially in developing countries. Even in India, nationwide interventions targeting safe mother and newborn care have not yielded the desired impact, indicating the necessity to combat neonatal mortality rate at population specific level. The objective of this study is to identify the newborn care practices and beliefs, analyze their harmful or beneficial characteristics, describe the deviations from the essential newborn care practices during hospital/home delivery, explain barriers to care seeking and identify areas of potential resistance for behavior change;and utilize study findings to tailor-make cost-effective essential newborn care package. The study uses qualitative data from in-depth interview of mothers who had experienced neonatal death and key-informant interviews with healthcare personnel and birth attendants. 33 cases were randomly selected from the registered neonatal deaths across Bharuch district of Gujarat, India. Key finding of this study is less prevalent practice of essential newborn care among all cases irrespective of place of delivery and the health-care personnel facilitating delivery. Habitual traditional/tribal newborn care methods challenge the practice of prescribed essential newborn care. Clustering of deaths in few households added significantly to the existing burden of neonatal deaths, attributed to superstition “Ratewa” by tribal. Study has concluded that the introduction and implementation of essential newborn care at hospital and community/ household level are the need of the hour. Quality home based neonatal care through cost effective interventions is deemed necessary where accessing institutional care is not possible in the immediate term. Community health workers can contribute to the eradication of harmful newborn care practices and the sustenance of essential practices through community education and behavior change communication. 展开更多

Objective: This review aimed to examine the effectiveness of clinical nurse specialist (CNS) interventions in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD significantly affects people's health worldwide. With the development in nursing, CNSs are playing increasingly important roles in different departments. However, the studies on the effectiveness of CNSs in COPD are not as well organized as the studies on the effectiveness of CNSs in bronchiectasis and asthma. Therefore, this review aims to find some updated evidence on the CNS interventions for patients with COPD and on whether these interventions are effective.Methods: A narrative analysis of the data was performed for the eligible studies. Four databases were chosen: CINAHL, MEDLINE, British Nursing Index, and Cochrane Library. Other websites such as the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, National Health Service Evidence, Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists, and National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist were searched as well. Two reviewers performed study identification independently, and all the retrieved articles were stored using the EndNote X7 software. The risk of bias in the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane Collaboration's risk of bias tool. Results: A total of nine studies were included in this review. There were five current interventions by CNSs for patients with COPD. These interventions were home nursing support, CNS]s supported discharge, multidisciplinary cooperation programs, nurse-led care programs, and self-care management education. The effectiveness of these five interventions was evaluated individually. There is low- to moderate-quality evidence indicating that home nursing support interventions may have a positive effect on mortality and quality of life. No significant difference in quality of life has been found between the CNS-supported discharge intervention and the usual service. The multidisciplinary cooperation program probably had a positive effect on quality ot life in patients with COPD. Both nurse-led care and self-care management education intervention had a positive effect on mortality of patients with COPD.Conclusions: The findings of this review provide updated evidence on the effectiveness of CNS interventions for patients with COPD. Although nine trials were included and five types of interventions were identified, there is still lack of high-quality evidence. 展开更多
