Unified treatment of one-range addition theorems for integer and non-integer n-STO, -GTO and -generalized exponential type orbitals with hyperbolic cosine in position, momentum and four-dimensional spaces

Simpler formulas are derived for one-range addition theorems for the integer and noninteger n generalized ex- ponential type orbitals, momentum space orbitals, and hyperspherical harmonics with hyperbolic cosine (GETO HC, GMSO HC, and GHSH HC) in position, momentum and four-dimensional spaces, respectively. The final results are expressed in terms of one-range addition theorems of complete orthonormal sets of Ca-exponential type orbitals, Ca- momentum space orbitals and za-hyperspherical harmonics. We notice that the one-range addition theorems for integer and noninteger n-Slater type orbitals and Gaussian type orbitals in position, momentum and four dimensional spaces are special cases of GETO HC, GMSO HC, and GHSH HC. The theorems presented can be useful in the accurate study of the electronic structure of atomic and molecular systems. 展开更多

Non-Acceleration Theorem in a Primitive Equation System: I. Acceleration of Zonal Mean Flow 被引量:10

Non-acceleration theorem in a primitive equation system is developed to investigate the influences of waves on the mean flow variation against external forcing. Numerical results show that mechanical forcing overwhelms thermal forcing in maintaining the mean flow in which the internal mechanical forcing associated with horizontal eddy flux of momentum plays the most important roles. Both internal forcing and external forcing are shown to be active and at the first place for the mean flow variations, whereas the forcing-induced mean meridional circulation is passive and secondary. It is also shown that the effects on mean flow of external mechanical forcing are concentrated in the lower troposphere, whereas those due to wave-mean flow interaction are more important in the upper troposphere. These act together and result in the vertically easterly shear in low latitudes and westerly shear in mid-latitudes. This vertical shear of mean flow is to some extent weakened by thermal forcing. 展开更多

A scheme for the impulsive control of nonlinear systems with time-varying delays is investigated in this paper. Based on the Lyapunov-like stability theorem for impulsive functional differential equations (FDEs), some sufficient conditions are presented to guarantee the uniform asymptotic stability of impulsively controlled nonlinear systems with time-varying delays. These conditions are more effective and less conservative than those obtained. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

By using a new fixed point theorem, sufficient conditions are obtained that guarantee the existence of at least three positive solu- tions. The present paper is concerned with scattering of water waves from a vertical plate, modeled as an elastic plate, submerged in deep water covered with a thin uniform sheet of ice. The problem is formulated in terms of a hypersingular integral equation by a suitable application of Green's integral theorem in terms of difference of potential functicns across the barrier. This integral equation is solved by a collocation method using a finite series involving Chebyshev polynomials. Reflection and transmission coefficients are obtained numerically and presented graphically for various values of the wave number and ice-cover parameter. 展开更多
