Based on the study of the Mechanical Design and Automation major and its relevance to teaching reform in higher education engineering programs,a project-based teaching model was introduced.This approach integrates teaching design,scheme argumentation,and the implementation of teaching activities with the project serving as the central framework.Course knowledge points are derived from the project topics,forming the foundation for a structured knowledge framework.The course content is modularized in alignment with the project design,enabling students to engage with professional courses on a module-by-module basis,guided by the project.Each course utilizes the project topic as a practical case,facilitating project-led teaching.A teaching system tailored to the research project is proposed,establishing a professional course structure closely linked to the project objectives. 展开更多

With the vigorous development of Sino-foreign cooperative education,English teaching for specialized courses has become a crucial link in cultivating internationalized professionals.This paper takes the Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering(Sino-German Cooperation)major of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology as the research object,and deeply analyzes the dilemmas faced by English teaching in this major,such as significant differences in students’English foundations,poor adaptability of teaching resources,and insufficient cultivation of cross-cultural communication skills.Based on this,a series of teaching reform strategies are proposed,covering aspects,such as optimizing teaching objectives,innovating curriculum settings,changing teaching methods,strengthening the construction of the teaching staff,and improving the teaching evaluation system.Specific teaching reform cases are also incorporated,aiming to improve the quality of English teaching for specialized courses and cultivate internationalized talents with solid professional knowledge and excellent English capabilities. 展开更多

Under the background of strategic emerging professional construction,the teaching reform of the course Sensor Principles and Detection Technology in the Robotics Engineering major is of great significance.This paper explores the current challenges faced in the teaching of this course,such as the rapid development of sensor technology,the increasing demand for practical skills in the roboticsfield,and the need to integrate interdisciplinary knowledge.To address these challenges,several reform measures are proposed.Firstly,the curriculum content is updated to include the latest developments in sensor technology and its applications in robotics.This involves integrating advanced topics such as intelligent sensors,MEMS technology,and wireless sensor networks into the syllabus.Secondly,the teaching methods are diversified.Interactive teaching methods,such as project-based learning and case-based learning,are adopted to enhance students practical abilities and problem-solving skills.In addition,the use of virtual simulation software and laboratory experiments is emphasized to provide students with hands-on experience in sensor design,testing,and integration.Thirdly,the assessment system is reformed to focus more on students comprehensive abilities.In addition to traditional exams,project reports,laboratory performance,and team collaboration are also included in the assessment criteria.The implementation of these reform measures has achieved positive results.Students interest in the course has increased,their understanding of sensor principles and detection technology has been deepened,and their practical skills and innovative thinking have been significantly improved.This reform provides valuable references for the teaching of similar courses in other engineering majors and contributes to the cultivation of high-quality talents in thefield of robotics engineering to meet the needs of strategic emerging industries. 展开更多
