Ammonia(NH3)has been widely recognized as a key precursor of atmospheric secondary aerosol formation.Vehicle emission is a major source of urban atmospheric NH3.With the tightening of emission standards and the growin...Ammonia(NH3)has been widely recognized as a key precursor of atmospheric secondary aerosol formation.Vehicle emission is a major source of urban atmospheric NH3.With the tightening of emission standards and the growing trend of vehicle fleet electrification,it is imperative to update the emission factors for NH3 from real-world on-road fleets.In this study,a tunnel measurement was conducted in the urban area of Tianjin,China.The fleet-average NH3 emission factor(EF)was 11.2 mg/(km·veh),significantly lower than those in previous studies,showing the benefit of emission standard updating.Through a multiple linear regression analysis,the EFs of light-duty gasoline vehicles,light-duty diesel vehicles,and heavy-duty diesel vehicles(HDDVs)were estimated to be 5.7±0.6 mg/(km·veh),40.8±5.1 mg/(km·veh),and 160.2±16.6 mg/(km·veh),respectively.Based on the results from this study,we found that HDDVs,which comprise<3%of the total vehicles may contribute approximately 22%of total NH3 emissions in Tianjin.Our results highlight NH3 emissions from HDDVs,a previously potentially overlooked source of NH3 emissions in urban areas.The actual on-road NH3 emissions from HDDVs may exceed current expectations,posing a growing concern for the future.展开更多
Lakes are carbon dioxide(CO_(2))and methane(CH_(4))emission hotspots,whose associated flux is spatially vari-able.Many studies have investigated the impact of microorganisms and environmental factors on CO_(2) and CH_...Lakes are carbon dioxide(CO_(2))and methane(CH_(4))emission hotspots,whose associated flux is spatially vari-able.Many studies have investigated the impact of microorganisms and environmental factors on CO_(2) and CH_(4) emissions between different lakes.However,the carbon emissions and their influencing factors of different areas within a single lake remain poorly understood.Accordingly,this study investigates CO_(2) and CH_(4) emission hetero-geneity in a large floodplain lake system and distribution characteristics of associated functional microorganisms.Findings show that mean CO_(2) and CH_(4) flux values in the sub lake area were 62.03±24.21 mg/(m2·day)and 5.97±3.2μg/(m2·day),which were greater by factors of 1.78 and 2.96 compared to the water channel and the main lake area,respectively.The alpha diversity of methanogens in the sub lake area was lower than that in the main lake and water channel areas.The abundance of methanogens in bottom water layer was higher compared with the middle and surface layers.Conversely,the abundance of methane(CH_(4))-oxidizing bacteria in the surface layer was higher than that in the bottom layer.Additionally,the composition of methanogen and CH_(4)-oxidizing bacterial community,chlorophyll a(Chl-a),pH,total phosphorus(TP)and dissolved organic carbon(DOC)con-tent constituted the dominate driving factors affecting lake C emissions.Results from this study can be used to improve our understanding of lake spatial heterogeneous of CO_(2) and CH_(4) emission and the driving mechanisms within floodplain lakes under the coupling effects of functional C microorganisms and environmental factors.展开更多
Atmospheric CO_(2) concentrations are predominantly regulated by multiple emission sources,with industrial emis-sions representing a critical anthropogenic driver that significantly influences temporal and spatial het...Atmospheric CO_(2) concentrations are predominantly regulated by multiple emission sources,with industrial emis-sions representing a critical anthropogenic driver that significantly influences temporal and spatial heterogeneity in regional CO_(2) patterns.This study investigated the spatiotemporal distribution of atmospheric CO_(2) in Pucheng and Nanping industrial parks,Nanping City,by conducting field experiments using two coherent differential absorption lidars from 1 August to 31 October 2024.Results showed that the spatial distributions of CO_(2) emis-sions within a 3 km radius were mapped,and the local diffusion processes were clarified.CO_(2) patterns varied differently in two industrial parks over the three-month period:Average CO_(2) concentrations in non-emission areas were 422.4 ppm in Pucheng and 408.7 ppm in Nanping,with the former experiencing higher and more variable carbon emissions;Correlation analysis indicated that synthetic leather factories in Pucheng contributed more to SO_(2) and NO_(x) levels compared to the chemical plant in Nanping;In Pucheng,CO_(2) concentrations were transported from the north at ground-level wind speeds exceeding 4 m/s,while in Nanping,the concentrations dispersed gradually with increasing wind speeds;Forward trajectory simulations revealed that the peak-emission from Pucheng primarily affected southern Fujian,northeastern Jiangxi,and southern Anhui,while the peak-emission from Nanping influenced central and western Fujian and northeastern Jiangxi.Besides,emissions in both industrial parks were higher on weekdays and lower on weekends,reflecting changes in industrial activi-ties.The study underscores the potential of lidar technology for providing detailed insights into CO_(2) distribution and the interactions between emissions,wind patterns,and carbon transport.展开更多
Luminescent metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have garnered significant attention due to their structural tunability and potential applications in solid-state lighting,bioimaging,sensing,anticounterfeiting,and other field...Luminescent metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have garnered significant attention due to their structural tunability and potential applications in solid-state lighting,bioimaging,sensing,anticounterfeiting,and other fields.Nevertheless,due to the tendency of1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid(BDC)to rotate within the framework,MOFs composed of it exhibit significant non-radiative energy dissipation and thus impair the emissive properties.In this study,efficient luminescence of MIL-140A nanocrystals(NCs)with BDC rotors as ligands is achieved by pressure treatment strategy.Pressure treatment effectively modulates the pore structure of the framework,enhancing the interactions between the N,N-dimethylformamide vip molecules and the BDC ligands.The enhanced host-vip interaction contributes to the structural rigidity of the MOF,thereby suppressing the rotation-induced excited-state energy loss.As a result,the pressure-treated MIL-140A NCs displayed bright blue-light emission,with the photoluminescence quantum yield increasing from an initial 6.8%to 69.2%.This study developed an effective strategy to improve the luminescence performance of rotor ligand MOFs,offers a new avenue for the rational design and synthesis of MOFs with superior luminescent properties.展开更多
The development of quantum materials for single-photon emission is crucial for the advancement of quantum information technology.Although significant advancements have been witnessed in recent years for single-photon ...The development of quantum materials for single-photon emission is crucial for the advancement of quantum information technology.Although significant advancements have been witnessed in recent years for single-photon sources in the near-infrared band(λ∼700–1000 nm),several challenges have yet to be addressed for ideal single-photon emission at the telecommunication band.In this study,we present a droplet-epitaxy strategy for O-band to C-band single-photon source-based semiconductor quantum dots(QDs)using metal-organic vaporphase epitaxy(MOVPE).By investigating the growth conditions of the epitaxial process,we have successfully synthesized InAs/InP QDs with narrow emission lines spanning a broad spectral range of λ∼1200–1600 nm.The morphological and optical properties of the samples were characterized using atomic force microscopy and microphotoluminescence spectroscopy.The recorded single-photon purity of a plain QD structure reaches g^((2))(0)=0.16,with a radiative recombination lifetime as short as 1.5 ns.This work provides a crucial platform for future research on integrated microcavity enhancement techniques and coupled QDs with other quantum photonics in the telecom bands,offering significant prospects for quantum network applications.展开更多

Polychlorinated naphthalenes(PCNs)are detrimental to human health and the environment.With the commercial production of PCNs banned,unintentional releases have emerged as a significant environmental source.However,rel...Polychlorinated naphthalenes(PCNs)are detrimental to human health and the environment.With the commercial production of PCNs banned,unintentional releases have emerged as a significant environmental source.However,relevant information is still scarce.In this study,provincial emissions for eight PCNs homologues from 37 sources in the Chinese mainland during the period of 1960-2019 were estimated based on a source-specific and time-varying emission factor database.The results showed that the total PCNs emissions in 2019 reached 757.0 kg with Hebei ranked at the top among all the provinces and iron&steel industry as the biggest source.Low-chlorinated PCNs comprised 90%of emissions by mass,while highly chlorinated PCNs dominated in terms of toxicity,highlighting divergent priorities for mitigating emissions and safeguarding human health.The emissions showed an overall upward trend from 1960 to 2019 driven by emission increase from iron&steel industry in terms of source,and from North China and East China in terms of geographic area.Per-capita emissions followed an inverted U-shaped environmental Kuznets curvewhile emission intensities decreased with increasing per-capita Gross Domestic Product(GDP)following a nearly linear pattern when log-transformed.展开更多
High-rise buildings form deep urban street canyons and restrict the dispersion of vehicle emissions,posing severe health risks to the public by aggravating roadside air quality.Field measurements are important for und...High-rise buildings form deep urban street canyons and restrict the dispersion of vehicle emissions,posing severe health risks to the public by aggravating roadside air quality.Field measurements are important for understanding the dispersion process of tailpipe emissions in street canyons,while a major challenge is the lack of a suitable tracer gas.Carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),which is safe to the public and inexpensive to obtain,can be reliably measured by existing gas analysers.This study investigated the suitability of using CO_(2)as a tracer gas for characterising vehicle emission dispersion in a real-world street canyon.The tracer gas was released via a line or point source,whose dispersion was characterised by a sensors network comprising low-cost air quality sensors.The results showed that the CO_(2)contained in the exhaust gas of a test vehicle itself had unmeasurable effect at roadsides.Both the line and point sources produced obvious CO_(2)level elevations at approximately 30 s after the test vehicle passed by.In addition,for both line and point sources,the CO_(2)elevations were much more distinct at the roadside next to tailpipe exit than the opposite side,and were higher at 0.8 m than 1.6 m above the ground.The present study demonstrated that using CO_(2)as a tracer gas is feasible for investigating vehicle emission dispersion in real-world street canyons.Future studies are needed to improve the gas release rate of the developed tracer gas systems for more reliable measurements and larger street canyons.展开更多
Emission characteristics of biogenic volatile organic compounds(BVOCs)from dominant tree species in the subtropical pristine forests of China are extremely limited.Here we conducted in situ field measurements of BVOCs...Emission characteristics of biogenic volatile organic compounds(BVOCs)from dominant tree species in the subtropical pristine forests of China are extremely limited.Here we conducted in situ field measurements of BVOCs emissions from representative mature evergreen trees by using dynamic branch enclosures at four altitude gradients(600-1690ma.s.l.)in the Nanling Mountains of southern China.Composition characteristics as well as seasonal and altitudinal variations were analyzed.Standardized emission rates and canopyscale emission factors were then calculated.Results showed that BVOCs emission intensities in the wet season were generally higher than those in the dry season.Monoterpenes were the dominant BVOCs emitted from most broad-leaved trees,accounting for over 70%of the total.Schima superba,Yushania basihirsuta and Altingia chinensis had relatively high emission intensities and secondary pollutant formation potentials.The localized emission factors of isoprene were comparable to the defaults in the Model of Emissions of Gases and Aerosols fromNature(MEGAN),while emission factors of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes were 2 to 58 times of those in the model.Our results can be used to update the current BVOCs emission inventory in MEGAN,thereby reducing the uncertainties of BVOCs emission estimations in forested regions of southern China.展开更多
Civil aviation is one of the industries facing the greatest challenge in reaching carbon neutrality by the middle of this century,and this sector also contributes to adverse impacts on the regional air quality and hum...Civil aviation is one of the industries facing the greatest challenge in reaching carbon neutrality by the middle of this century,and this sector also contributes to adverse impacts on the regional air quality and human health.China exhibits the second highest air passenger turnover worldwide.Our understanding of civil aviation emissionsmust be urgently enhanced,and themitigation potential should be explored.In this study,on the basis of real domestic flight information for 2019,we built a greenhouse gas and air pollution emission inventory for the civil aviation sector in China with the fuel flowmethod based on the cruise and other phases.We thoroughly analyzed emissions by region,aircraft and engine types,and aircraft age,based on which we designed four measures to evaluate the abatement potential.We found that the hydrocarbon(HC),CO,NO_(x),SO_(2),particulate matter(PM)and CO_(2)emissions in 2019 reached 79.9 kt(95%CI[51.6–114.5]),176.3 kt(95%CI[114.5–248.2]),304.2 kt(95%CI[203.4–420.7]),23.2 kt(95%CI[14.2–33.7]),1.0 kt(95%CI[0.61–1.44])and 87.0 Mt(95%CI[57.4–119.6]),respectively.The cruise phase was the major emission phase,accounting for 67%-87%of the total pollutant emissions.If four measures were jointly implemented,the HC,CO,NO_(x),SO_(2),PM and CO_(2)emissions could be reduced by 61%,54%,55%,45%,32%and 38%,respectively.Utilizing lower-emission aircraft and switching travel modes could substantially reduce civil aviation emissions in China.展开更多
Organic afterglow materials hold significant potential for applications in information storage,anticounterfeiting,and biological imaging.However,studies on afterglow materials capable of ultra-wide range excitation an...Organic afterglow materials hold significant potential for applications in information storage,anticounterfeiting,and biological imaging.However,studies on afterglow materials capable of ultra-wide range excitation and emission simultaneously are limited.To enhance the practicality of strong emission single-component organic afterglow systems,overcoming the constraints of crystalline or other rigid environments is essential.We have developed solid-state dual-persistent thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)and room temperature phosphorescence(RTP)emissions spanning yellow to red under visible light excitation,utilizing a single-molecule terminal group regulation strategy.The RTP lifetime extends from 4.19 ms to 399.70 ms.These afterglow materials exhibit an ultra-wide absorption range from 200 nm to 800 nm,rendering them capable of being excited by both sunlight simulator and nearinfrared radiation.The upconversion phosphorescence lifetime under 808 nm excitation reaches 13.72μs.The double persistent emission of these compounds is temperature-sensitive.Moreover,following grinding or heat treatment,accompanied by extensive afterglow color conversion due to planarization of excited state conformations and additional efficient kRIsc generation.In addition,the amorphous state post melt annealing facilitates the afterglow transition from yellow to green.Crucially,these compounds also maintain stable ultra-long afterglow emission in aqueous and acid-base environments.Overall,we have successfully developed a series of single-component intelligent luminescent materials that demonstrate significant benefits,including dual TADF and RTP emissions,adjustable afterglow lifetimes,a broad range of excitation and emission wavelengths,multi-modal luminescence not restricted to crystalline states,and robust afterglow performance in challenging environments,setting the stage for the practical deployment of afterglow materials in engineering applications,the upconversion afterglow emission also holds promising potential for applications in the field of biological imaging.展开更多
This study presents an emission inventory for 2022,focusing on assessing the emissions of PM_(2.5),PM_(10),NO_(x),SO_(2),CO,and VOC from India's road transport,residential,and thermal power sectors.Road transport ...This study presents an emission inventory for 2022,focusing on assessing the emissions of PM_(2.5),PM_(10),NO_(x),SO_(2),CO,and VOC from India's road transport,residential,and thermal power sectors.Road transport emissions were estimated using a vehicle kilometer traveled methodology derived from a survey of 200,000 vehicles.A regression analysis was conducted to assess residential fuel usage,considering recent changes in consumption patterns and updated data on cleaner fuels.Estimates for the thermal power sector were based on emission monitoring data.The residential sector is the predominant source of PM_(2.5)(1112 kt),PM_(10)(1678 kt),CO(10630 kt),and VOC(2558 kt).The thermal power sector is the predominant source of secondary air pollutant precursors such as NO_(x)(2328 kt)and SO_(2)(4694 kt).India has the highest emission intensity per gross domestic product(GDP)across sectors compared to other countries.For example,PM_(2.5)emissions per GDP from the roads in India are 14,21,and 10 times that of those in China,the USA,and Europe.The southern(29%),eastern(30%),and central(36%)regions were the notable contributors to emissions from transport,residential,and thermal power sectors.Urban areas contributed 5%of the total residential sector emissions across India but 25%of the total road transport sector emissions nationwide.Moreover,power plants within or near the non-attainment cities were responsible for 12%of the overall thermal power pollution recorded across India.The study identifies unequal emission burdens,with economically disadvantaged regions bearing the brunt.展开更多
Recently,the transportation sector in China has gradually become the main source of urban air pollution and primary driver of carbon emissions growth.Considering air pollutants and greenhouse gases come from the same ...Recently,the transportation sector in China has gradually become the main source of urban air pollution and primary driver of carbon emissions growth.Considering air pollutants and greenhouse gases come from the same emission sources,it is necessary to establish an updated high-resolution emission inventory for the transportation sector in Central China,themost polluted region in China.The inventory includes on-road mobile,non-roadmobile,oil storage and transportation,and covers 9 types of air pollutants and 3 types of greenhouse gases.Based on the Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning System(LEAP)model,the emissions of pollutants were predicted for the period from2020 to 2035 in different scenarios.Results showed that in 2020,emissions of SO_(2),NO_(x),CO,PM_(10),PM_(2.5),VOCs,NH_(3),BC,OC,CO_(2),CH_(4),and N_(2)O in Henan Province were 27.5,503.2,878.6,20.1,17.4,222.1,21.5,9.4,2.9,92,077.9,6.0,and 10.4 kilotons,respectively.Energy demand and pollutant emissions in Henan Province are simulated under four scenarios(Baseline Scenario(BS),Pollution Abatement Scenario(PA),Green Transportation Scenario(GT),and Reinforcing Low Carbon Scenario(RLC)).The collaborative emission reduction effect is most significant in the RLC scenario,followed by the GT scenario.By 2035,under the RLC scenario,energy consumption and emissions of SO_(2),NO_(x),CO,PM_(10),PM_(2.5),VOCs,NH_(3),CO_(2),CH_(4),and N_(2)O are projected to decrease by 72.0%,30.0%,55.6%,56.0%,38.6%,39.7%,51.5%,66.1%,65.5%,55.4%,and 52.8%,respectively.This study provides fundamental data support for subsequent numerical simulations.展开更多

Ship emissions contribute considerably to air pollution and are expected to decline under domestic policies and international cooperation such as green shipping corridors(GSCs).However,evaluation of the emission reduc...Ship emissions contribute considerably to air pollution and are expected to decline under domestic policies and international cooperation such as green shipping corridors(GSCs).However,evaluation of the emission reduction potential by the Domestic Emission Control Area(DECA)policy and GSC cooperation is still lacking.Here,a series of multi-year high spatiotemporal ship emission inventories around Hainan,a representative island province of China,were developed with the state-of-the-art Shipping Emission Inventory Model.The improved origin-destination identification algorithm allowed emission allocation to port level.The emission reduction potential of the DECA policy and Hainan's joining GSCwas analyzed.In 2022,ship emission intensity in waters 12 Nm from Hainan(Hainan-12Nm)were 6.4%-7.4% of that in waters 12 Nm from China.From 2019 to 2022,Hainan-12Nm emissions dropped by 66.7%-77.8% for SO_(2) and PM2.5.Ideally,with adequate ultra-low-sulfur fuel,DECA can reduce SO_(2) and PM2.5 emissions by 16.6% and 22.4% yearly compared with no-DECA scenario.However,emission reduction would drop markedly if ultra-low-sulfur fuel is short in supply.Emissions of voyages passing through 200 Nm from Hainan took up 1%-4%of international shipping emissions,implying great emission reduction potential for Hainan's establishing GSCs,especially considering the flourishing South-South trade.This study provides a thorough assessment of the current state of shipping emissions around Hainan as well as offers excellent data support for Hainan to further advance the future upgrade of ship emission management policies.展开更多

A new technological process involving the introduction of an induction furnace(IF)powered by green electricity was proposed for reducing the CO_(2) emission in the conventional blast furnace–basic oxygen furnace(BF–...A new technological process involving the introduction of an induction furnace(IF)powered by green electricity was proposed for reducing the CO_(2) emission in the conventional blast furnace–basic oxygen furnace(BF–BOF)steelmaking route.The proposed BF–IF–BOF process gains benefits from preheating and smelting scraps utilizing green electricity and further remarkably cuts down the CO_(2) emission in BOF steelmaking.The CO_(2) emissions of conventional and new processes have been comparatively analyzed according to the actual data from a commercial steel plant in China,taking into account the upstream CO_(2) emission,direct CO_(2) emission,and credit CO_(2) emission.The analysis revealed that the CO_(2) emission factor of internal scraps from the steel plant was different from that of purchased scraps from the society but equalled to that of crude steel.The CO_(2) injected into the BOF as a coolant could be defined as the upstream CO_(2) emission source,and there is a net reduction of 1 t CO_(2) emission for each ton of CO_(2) utilized in the BOF.Compared to the BF–BOF process with a scrap ratio of 19.23%,the CO_(2) emission reduction per ton of steel in the new process is 0.278,0.517,0.753,0.987,1.219,1.448,and 1.683 t,respectively,as the scrap ratio increases to 30%,40%,50%,60%,70%,80%,and 90%,and increasing the scrap ratio has a more significant impact on the emission reduction than CO_(2) injecting.A minimum CO_(2) emission model for the BF–IF–BOF process was established,and the minimum CO_(2) emission per ton crude steel was calculated to be 0.677,0.581,0.487,0.393,0.300,0.209,and 0.110 t,for the BF–IF–BOF process with the scrap ratios of 30%,40%,50%,60%,70%,80%,and 90%,respectively.展开更多
This paper presents an air quality simulation model that incorporates shipping activities and weather conditions,with a case study of Hainan Island to examine the impact of ship emissions on air quality.The findings r...This paper presents an air quality simulation model that incorporates shipping activities and weather conditions,with a case study of Hainan Island to examine the impact of ship emissions on air quality.The findings reveal that the density of automatic identification system(AIS)signals is particularly high in the southern coastal regions.The results showed that the annual ship emissions recorded the highest density of 896.7 tons/0.01°,49.8 tons/0.01°,1139.7 tons/0.01°,and 122,000 tons/0.01°for sulfur oxides(SO_(x)),particulate matter(PM),nitrogen oxides(NOx),and carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),respectively.Furthermore,the partial distributions of these emissions were not significantly affected by the seasons.Ships within twelve nautical miles of Hainan coastlines emit approximately 2817.7 tons of SO_(x),14,686.4 tons of NO_(x),630.4 tons of PM_(2.5),and 416.9 tons of hydrocarbons(HC)annually.These emissions are primarily concentrated in the sea areas surrounding the ports of Haikou,Yangpu,Basuo,and Sanya.Ships manufactured between 2000 and 2010 have contributed significantly to air pollution,with SO_(x) and HC emissions accounting for approximately 51%and 56% of total emissions,respectively.However,for shipsmanufactured after 2016,these proportions have dropped to approximately 10%.In terms of air pollutants fromship emissions in Hainan Island,the spatial distribution of their contributions is significantly uneven.The impact of PM2.5 differs significantly depending on the season,with the concentrations being substantially higher during Spring.However,the proportions of O3 and other pollutants do not vary significantly,except during Spring.展开更多

Carbonyl sulfide(COS)is an effective tracer for estimating Gross Primary Productivity(GPP)in the carbon cycle.As the largest contribution to the atmosphere,anthropogenic COS emissions must be accurately quantified.In ...Carbonyl sulfide(COS)is an effective tracer for estimating Gross Primary Productivity(GPP)in the carbon cycle.As the largest contribution to the atmosphere,anthropogenic COS emissions must be accurately quantified.In this study,an anthropogenic COS emission inventory from 2015 to 2021 was constructed by applying the bottom-up approach based on activity data from emission sources.China’s anthropogenic COS emissions increased from approximately 171 to 198 Gg S yr^(-1)from 2015-2021,differing from the trends of other pollutants.Despite an initial decline in COS emissions across sectors during the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic,a rapid rebound in emissions occurred following the resumption of economic activities.In 2021,industrial sources,coal combustion,agriculture and vehicle exhaust accounted for 76.8%,12.3%,10.5%and 0.4%of total COS emissions,respectively.The aluminum industry was the primary COS emitter among industrial sources,contributing40.7% of total emissions.Shandong,Shanxi,and Zhejiang were the top three provinces in terms of anthropogenic COS emissions,reaching 39,21 and 17 Gg S yr-1,respectively.Provincial-level regions(hereafter province)with high COS emissions are observed mainly in the eastern and coastal regions of China,which,together with the wind direction,helps explain the pattern of high COS concentrations in the Western Pacific Ocean in winter.The Green Contribution Coefficient of COS(GCCCOS)was used to assess the relationship between GDP and COS emissions,highlighting the disparity between GDP and COS contributions to green development.As part of this analysis,relevant recommendations are proposed to address this disparity.The COS emission inventory in our study can be used as input for the Sulfur Transport and Deposition Model(STEM),reducing uncertainties in the atmospheric COS source?sink budget and promoting understanding of the atmosphere sulfur cycle.展开更多

文摘Ammonia(NH3)has been widely recognized as a key precursor of atmospheric secondary aerosol formation.Vehicle emission is a major source of urban atmospheric NH3.With the tightening of emission standards and the growing trend of vehicle fleet electrification,it is imperative to update the emission factors for NH3 from real-world on-road fleets.In this study,a tunnel measurement was conducted in the urban area of Tianjin,China.The fleet-average NH3 emission factor(EF)was 11.2 mg/(km·veh),significantly lower than those in previous studies,showing the benefit of emission standard updating.Through a multiple linear regression analysis,the EFs of light-duty gasoline vehicles,light-duty diesel vehicles,and heavy-duty diesel vehicles(HDDVs)were estimated to be 5.7±0.6 mg/(km·veh),40.8±5.1 mg/(km·veh),and 160.2±16.6 mg/(km·veh),respectively.Based on the results from this study,we found that HDDVs,which comprise<3%of the total vehicles may contribute approximately 22%of total NH3 emissions in Tianjin.Our results highlight NH3 emissions from HDDVs,a previously potentially overlooked source of NH3 emissions in urban areas.The actual on-road NH3 emissions from HDDVs may exceed current expectations,posing a growing concern for the future.

文摘Lakes are carbon dioxide(CO_(2))and methane(CH_(4))emission hotspots,whose associated flux is spatially vari-able.Many studies have investigated the impact of microorganisms and environmental factors on CO_(2) and CH_(4) emissions between different lakes.However,the carbon emissions and their influencing factors of different areas within a single lake remain poorly understood.Accordingly,this study investigates CO_(2) and CH_(4) emission hetero-geneity in a large floodplain lake system and distribution characteristics of associated functional microorganisms.Findings show that mean CO_(2) and CH_(4) flux values in the sub lake area were 62.03±24.21 mg/(m2·day)and 5.97±3.2μg/(m2·day),which were greater by factors of 1.78 and 2.96 compared to the water channel and the main lake area,respectively.The alpha diversity of methanogens in the sub lake area was lower than that in the main lake and water channel areas.The abundance of methanogens in bottom water layer was higher compared with the middle and surface layers.Conversely,the abundance of methane(CH_(4))-oxidizing bacteria in the surface layer was higher than that in the bottom layer.Additionally,the composition of methanogen and CH_(4)-oxidizing bacterial community,chlorophyll a(Chl-a),pH,total phosphorus(TP)and dissolved organic carbon(DOC)con-tent constituted the dominate driving factors affecting lake C emissions.Results from this study can be used to improve our understanding of lake spatial heterogeneous of CO_(2) and CH_(4) emission and the driving mechanisms within floodplain lakes under the coupling effects of functional C microorganisms and environmental factors.

文摘Atmospheric CO_(2) concentrations are predominantly regulated by multiple emission sources,with industrial emis-sions representing a critical anthropogenic driver that significantly influences temporal and spatial heterogeneity in regional CO_(2) patterns.This study investigated the spatiotemporal distribution of atmospheric CO_(2) in Pucheng and Nanping industrial parks,Nanping City,by conducting field experiments using two coherent differential absorption lidars from 1 August to 31 October 2024.Results showed that the spatial distributions of CO_(2) emis-sions within a 3 km radius were mapped,and the local diffusion processes were clarified.CO_(2) patterns varied differently in two industrial parks over the three-month period:Average CO_(2) concentrations in non-emission areas were 422.4 ppm in Pucheng and 408.7 ppm in Nanping,with the former experiencing higher and more variable carbon emissions;Correlation analysis indicated that synthetic leather factories in Pucheng contributed more to SO_(2) and NO_(x) levels compared to the chemical plant in Nanping;In Pucheng,CO_(2) concentrations were transported from the north at ground-level wind speeds exceeding 4 m/s,while in Nanping,the concentrations dispersed gradually with increasing wind speeds;Forward trajectory simulations revealed that the peak-emission from Pucheng primarily affected southern Fujian,northeastern Jiangxi,and southern Anhui,while the peak-emission from Nanping influenced central and western Fujian and northeastern Jiangxi.Besides,emissions in both industrial parks were higher on weekdays and lower on weekends,reflecting changes in industrial activi-ties.The study underscores the potential of lidar technology for providing detailed insights into CO_(2) distribution and the interactions between emissions,wind patterns,and carbon transport.

文摘Luminescent metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have garnered significant attention due to their structural tunability and potential applications in solid-state lighting,bioimaging,sensing,anticounterfeiting,and other fields.Nevertheless,due to the tendency of1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid(BDC)to rotate within the framework,MOFs composed of it exhibit significant non-radiative energy dissipation and thus impair the emissive properties.In this study,efficient luminescence of MIL-140A nanocrystals(NCs)with BDC rotors as ligands is achieved by pressure treatment strategy.Pressure treatment effectively modulates the pore structure of the framework,enhancing the interactions between the N,N-dimethylformamide vip molecules and the BDC ligands.The enhanced host-vip interaction contributes to the structural rigidity of the MOF,thereby suppressing the rotation-induced excited-state energy loss.As a result,the pressure-treated MIL-140A NCs displayed bright blue-light emission,with the photoluminescence quantum yield increasing from an initial 6.8%to 69.2%.This study developed an effective strategy to improve the luminescence performance of rotor ligand MOFs,offers a new avenue for the rational design and synthesis of MOFs with superior luminescent properties.

文摘The development of quantum materials for single-photon emission is crucial for the advancement of quantum information technology.Although significant advancements have been witnessed in recent years for single-photon sources in the near-infrared band(λ∼700–1000 nm),several challenges have yet to be addressed for ideal single-photon emission at the telecommunication band.In this study,we present a droplet-epitaxy strategy for O-band to C-band single-photon source-based semiconductor quantum dots(QDs)using metal-organic vaporphase epitaxy(MOVPE).By investigating the growth conditions of the epitaxial process,we have successfully synthesized InAs/InP QDs with narrow emission lines spanning a broad spectral range of λ∼1200–1600 nm.The morphological and optical properties of the samples were characterized using atomic force microscopy and microphotoluminescence spectroscopy.The recorded single-photon purity of a plain QD structure reaches g^((2))(0)=0.16,with a radiative recombination lifetime as short as 1.5 ns.This work provides a crucial platform for future research on integrated microcavity enhancement techniques and coupled QDs with other quantum photonics in the telecom bands,offering significant prospects for quantum network applications.
文摘Biliary tract cancer(BTC)is a group of heterogeneous sporadic diseases,including intrahepatic,hilar,and distal cholangiocarcinoma,as well as gallbladder cancer.BTC is characterized by high invasiveness and extremely poor prognosis,with a global increased incidence due to intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC).The 18Ffludeoxyglucose positron emission tomography(PET)computed tomography(18F-FDG PET/CT)combines glucose metabolic information(reflecting the glycolytic activity of tumor cells)with anatomical structure to assess tumor metabolic heterogeneity,systemic metastasis,and molecular characteristics noninvasively,overcoming the limitations of traditional imaging in the detection of micrometastases and recurrent lesions.18F-FDG PET/CT offers critical insights in clinical staging,therapeutic evaluation,and prognostic prediction of BTC.This article reviews research progress in this field over the past decade,with a particular focus on the advances made in the last 3 years,which have not been adequately summarized and recognized.The research paradigm in this field is shifting from qualitative to quantitative studies,and there have been significant breakthroughs in using 18F-FDG PET/CT metabolic information to predict gene expression in ICC.Radiomics and deep learning techniques have been applied to ICC for prognostic prediction and differential diagnosis.Additionally,PET/magnetic resonance imaging is increasingly demonstrating its value in this field.

文摘Polychlorinated naphthalenes(PCNs)are detrimental to human health and the environment.With the commercial production of PCNs banned,unintentional releases have emerged as a significant environmental source.However,relevant information is still scarce.In this study,provincial emissions for eight PCNs homologues from 37 sources in the Chinese mainland during the period of 1960-2019 were estimated based on a source-specific and time-varying emission factor database.The results showed that the total PCNs emissions in 2019 reached 757.0 kg with Hebei ranked at the top among all the provinces and iron&steel industry as the biggest source.Low-chlorinated PCNs comprised 90%of emissions by mass,while highly chlorinated PCNs dominated in terms of toxicity,highlighting divergent priorities for mitigating emissions and safeguarding human health.The emissions showed an overall upward trend from 1960 to 2019 driven by emission increase from iron&steel industry in terms of source,and from North China and East China in terms of geographic area.Per-capita emissions followed an inverted U-shaped environmental Kuznets curvewhile emission intensities decreased with increasing per-capita Gross Domestic Product(GDP)following a nearly linear pattern when log-transformed.

文摘High-rise buildings form deep urban street canyons and restrict the dispersion of vehicle emissions,posing severe health risks to the public by aggravating roadside air quality.Field measurements are important for understanding the dispersion process of tailpipe emissions in street canyons,while a major challenge is the lack of a suitable tracer gas.Carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),which is safe to the public and inexpensive to obtain,can be reliably measured by existing gas analysers.This study investigated the suitability of using CO_(2)as a tracer gas for characterising vehicle emission dispersion in a real-world street canyon.The tracer gas was released via a line or point source,whose dispersion was characterised by a sensors network comprising low-cost air quality sensors.The results showed that the CO_(2)contained in the exhaust gas of a test vehicle itself had unmeasurable effect at roadsides.Both the line and point sources produced obvious CO_(2)level elevations at approximately 30 s after the test vehicle passed by.In addition,for both line and point sources,the CO_(2)elevations were much more distinct at the roadside next to tailpipe exit than the opposite side,and were higher at 0.8 m than 1.6 m above the ground.The present study demonstrated that using CO_(2)as a tracer gas is feasible for investigating vehicle emission dispersion in real-world street canyons.Future studies are needed to improve the gas release rate of the developed tracer gas systems for more reliable measurements and larger street canyons.

文摘Emission characteristics of biogenic volatile organic compounds(BVOCs)from dominant tree species in the subtropical pristine forests of China are extremely limited.Here we conducted in situ field measurements of BVOCs emissions from representative mature evergreen trees by using dynamic branch enclosures at four altitude gradients(600-1690ma.s.l.)in the Nanling Mountains of southern China.Composition characteristics as well as seasonal and altitudinal variations were analyzed.Standardized emission rates and canopyscale emission factors were then calculated.Results showed that BVOCs emission intensities in the wet season were generally higher than those in the dry season.Monoterpenes were the dominant BVOCs emitted from most broad-leaved trees,accounting for over 70%of the total.Schima superba,Yushania basihirsuta and Altingia chinensis had relatively high emission intensities and secondary pollutant formation potentials.The localized emission factors of isoprene were comparable to the defaults in the Model of Emissions of Gases and Aerosols fromNature(MEGAN),while emission factors of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes were 2 to 58 times of those in the model.Our results can be used to update the current BVOCs emission inventory in MEGAN,thereby reducing the uncertainties of BVOCs emission estimations in forested regions of southern China.

文摘Civil aviation is one of the industries facing the greatest challenge in reaching carbon neutrality by the middle of this century,and this sector also contributes to adverse impacts on the regional air quality and human health.China exhibits the second highest air passenger turnover worldwide.Our understanding of civil aviation emissionsmust be urgently enhanced,and themitigation potential should be explored.In this study,on the basis of real domestic flight information for 2019,we built a greenhouse gas and air pollution emission inventory for the civil aviation sector in China with the fuel flowmethod based on the cruise and other phases.We thoroughly analyzed emissions by region,aircraft and engine types,and aircraft age,based on which we designed four measures to evaluate the abatement potential.We found that the hydrocarbon(HC),CO,NO_(x),SO_(2),particulate matter(PM)and CO_(2)emissions in 2019 reached 79.9 kt(95%CI[51.6–114.5]),176.3 kt(95%CI[114.5–248.2]),304.2 kt(95%CI[203.4–420.7]),23.2 kt(95%CI[14.2–33.7]),1.0 kt(95%CI[0.61–1.44])and 87.0 Mt(95%CI[57.4–119.6]),respectively.The cruise phase was the major emission phase,accounting for 67%-87%of the total pollutant emissions.If four measures were jointly implemented,the HC,CO,NO_(x),SO_(2),PM and CO_(2)emissions could be reduced by 61%,54%,55%,45%,32%and 38%,respectively.Utilizing lower-emission aircraft and switching travel modes could substantially reduce civil aviation emissions in China.

文摘Organic afterglow materials hold significant potential for applications in information storage,anticounterfeiting,and biological imaging.However,studies on afterglow materials capable of ultra-wide range excitation and emission simultaneously are limited.To enhance the practicality of strong emission single-component organic afterglow systems,overcoming the constraints of crystalline or other rigid environments is essential.We have developed solid-state dual-persistent thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)and room temperature phosphorescence(RTP)emissions spanning yellow to red under visible light excitation,utilizing a single-molecule terminal group regulation strategy.The RTP lifetime extends from 4.19 ms to 399.70 ms.These afterglow materials exhibit an ultra-wide absorption range from 200 nm to 800 nm,rendering them capable of being excited by both sunlight simulator and nearinfrared radiation.The upconversion phosphorescence lifetime under 808 nm excitation reaches 13.72μs.The double persistent emission of these compounds is temperature-sensitive.Moreover,following grinding or heat treatment,accompanied by extensive afterglow color conversion due to planarization of excited state conformations and additional efficient kRIsc generation.In addition,the amorphous state post melt annealing facilitates the afterglow transition from yellow to green.Crucially,these compounds also maintain stable ultra-long afterglow emission in aqueous and acid-base environments.Overall,we have successfully developed a series of single-component intelligent luminescent materials that demonstrate significant benefits,including dual TADF and RTP emissions,adjustable afterglow lifetimes,a broad range of excitation and emission wavelengths,multi-modal luminescence not restricted to crystalline states,and robust afterglow performance in challenging environments,setting the stage for the practical deployment of afterglow materials in engineering applications,the upconversion afterglow emission also holds promising potential for applications in the field of biological imaging.
文摘This study presents an emission inventory for 2022,focusing on assessing the emissions of PM_(2.5),PM_(10),NO_(x),SO_(2),CO,and VOC from India's road transport,residential,and thermal power sectors.Road transport emissions were estimated using a vehicle kilometer traveled methodology derived from a survey of 200,000 vehicles.A regression analysis was conducted to assess residential fuel usage,considering recent changes in consumption patterns and updated data on cleaner fuels.Estimates for the thermal power sector were based on emission monitoring data.The residential sector is the predominant source of PM_(2.5)(1112 kt),PM_(10)(1678 kt),CO(10630 kt),and VOC(2558 kt).The thermal power sector is the predominant source of secondary air pollutant precursors such as NO_(x)(2328 kt)and SO_(2)(4694 kt).India has the highest emission intensity per gross domestic product(GDP)across sectors compared to other countries.For example,PM_(2.5)emissions per GDP from the roads in India are 14,21,and 10 times that of those in China,the USA,and Europe.The southern(29%),eastern(30%),and central(36%)regions were the notable contributors to emissions from transport,residential,and thermal power sectors.Urban areas contributed 5%of the total residential sector emissions across India but 25%of the total road transport sector emissions nationwide.Moreover,power plants within or near the non-attainment cities were responsible for 12%of the overall thermal power pollution recorded across India.The study identifies unequal emission burdens,with economically disadvantaged regions bearing the brunt.

文摘Recently,the transportation sector in China has gradually become the main source of urban air pollution and primary driver of carbon emissions growth.Considering air pollutants and greenhouse gases come from the same emission sources,it is necessary to establish an updated high-resolution emission inventory for the transportation sector in Central China,themost polluted region in China.The inventory includes on-road mobile,non-roadmobile,oil storage and transportation,and covers 9 types of air pollutants and 3 types of greenhouse gases.Based on the Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning System(LEAP)model,the emissions of pollutants were predicted for the period from2020 to 2035 in different scenarios.Results showed that in 2020,emissions of SO_(2),NO_(x),CO,PM_(10),PM_(2.5),VOCs,NH_(3),BC,OC,CO_(2),CH_(4),and N_(2)O in Henan Province were 27.5,503.2,878.6,20.1,17.4,222.1,21.5,9.4,2.9,92,077.9,6.0,and 10.4 kilotons,respectively.Energy demand and pollutant emissions in Henan Province are simulated under four scenarios(Baseline Scenario(BS),Pollution Abatement Scenario(PA),Green Transportation Scenario(GT),and Reinforcing Low Carbon Scenario(RLC)).The collaborative emission reduction effect is most significant in the RLC scenario,followed by the GT scenario.By 2035,under the RLC scenario,energy consumption and emissions of SO_(2),NO_(x),CO,PM_(10),PM_(2.5),VOCs,NH_(3),CO_(2),CH_(4),and N_(2)O are projected to decrease by 72.0%,30.0%,55.6%,56.0%,38.6%,39.7%,51.5%,66.1%,65.5%,55.4%,and 52.8%,respectively.This study provides fundamental data support for subsequent numerical simulations.

文摘Positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging(PET/MRI)combines the advantages of both imaging modalities.PET/MRI demonstrates superior performance in the evaluation of the therapeutic impact,staging,diagnosis,and treatment planning of malignancies because of its lower radiation dose,higher contrast for soft tissues,and multiparametric functional imaging.^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/MRI has demonstrated considerable potential in the assessment of pelvic malignancies.This review briefly describes the evolution of PET/MRI imaging technology and compares the application of PET/MRI in five common pelvic tumors,including endometrial cancer,cervical cancer,ovarian cancer,prostate cancer,and bladder cancer,with that of PET/computed tomography.Additionally,radiotracers other than^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose have been introduced for use in pelvic tumors.The development and application of these new tracers further enhance the clinical application of PET/MRI in precision medicine for pelvic malignant cancers.Overall,this review revealed the unique contribution of PET/MRI as a promising diagnostic instrument in the management of pelvic tumors,demonstrating its important position in future clinical practice.

文摘Ship emissions contribute considerably to air pollution and are expected to decline under domestic policies and international cooperation such as green shipping corridors(GSCs).However,evaluation of the emission reduction potential by the Domestic Emission Control Area(DECA)policy and GSC cooperation is still lacking.Here,a series of multi-year high spatiotemporal ship emission inventories around Hainan,a representative island province of China,were developed with the state-of-the-art Shipping Emission Inventory Model.The improved origin-destination identification algorithm allowed emission allocation to port level.The emission reduction potential of the DECA policy and Hainan's joining GSCwas analyzed.In 2022,ship emission intensity in waters 12 Nm from Hainan(Hainan-12Nm)were 6.4%-7.4% of that in waters 12 Nm from China.From 2019 to 2022,Hainan-12Nm emissions dropped by 66.7%-77.8% for SO_(2) and PM2.5.Ideally,with adequate ultra-low-sulfur fuel,DECA can reduce SO_(2) and PM2.5 emissions by 16.6% and 22.4% yearly compared with no-DECA scenario.However,emission reduction would drop markedly if ultra-low-sulfur fuel is short in supply.Emissions of voyages passing through 200 Nm from Hainan took up 1%-4%of international shipping emissions,implying great emission reduction potential for Hainan's establishing GSCs,especially considering the flourishing South-South trade.This study provides a thorough assessment of the current state of shipping emissions around Hainan as well as offers excellent data support for Hainan to further advance the future upgrade of ship emission management policies.

文摘The emission of heavy-duty vehicles has raised great concerns worldwide.The complex working and loading conditions,which may differ a lot from PEMS tests,raised new challenges to the supervision and control of emissions,especially during real-world applications.On-board diagnostics(OBD)technology with data exchange enabled and strengthened the monitoring of emissions from a large number of heavy-duty diesel vehicles.This paper presents an analysis of the OBD data collected from more than 800 city and highway heavy-duty vehicles in China using remote OBD data terminals.Real-world NO_(x)and CO_(2)emissions of China-6 heavy-duty vehicles have been examined.The results showed that city heavy-duty vehicles had higher NO_(x)emission levels,which was mostly due to longer time of low SCR temperatures below 180°C.The application of novel methods based on 3BMAWalso found that heavy-duty diesel vehicles tended to have high NO_(x)emissions at idle.Also,little difference had been found in work-based CO_(2)emissions,and this may be due to no major difference were found in occupancies of hot running.

文摘A new technological process involving the introduction of an induction furnace(IF)powered by green electricity was proposed for reducing the CO_(2) emission in the conventional blast furnace–basic oxygen furnace(BF–BOF)steelmaking route.The proposed BF–IF–BOF process gains benefits from preheating and smelting scraps utilizing green electricity and further remarkably cuts down the CO_(2) emission in BOF steelmaking.The CO_(2) emissions of conventional and new processes have been comparatively analyzed according to the actual data from a commercial steel plant in China,taking into account the upstream CO_(2) emission,direct CO_(2) emission,and credit CO_(2) emission.The analysis revealed that the CO_(2) emission factor of internal scraps from the steel plant was different from that of purchased scraps from the society but equalled to that of crude steel.The CO_(2) injected into the BOF as a coolant could be defined as the upstream CO_(2) emission source,and there is a net reduction of 1 t CO_(2) emission for each ton of CO_(2) utilized in the BOF.Compared to the BF–BOF process with a scrap ratio of 19.23%,the CO_(2) emission reduction per ton of steel in the new process is 0.278,0.517,0.753,0.987,1.219,1.448,and 1.683 t,respectively,as the scrap ratio increases to 30%,40%,50%,60%,70%,80%,and 90%,and increasing the scrap ratio has a more significant impact on the emission reduction than CO_(2) injecting.A minimum CO_(2) emission model for the BF–IF–BOF process was established,and the minimum CO_(2) emission per ton crude steel was calculated to be 0.677,0.581,0.487,0.393,0.300,0.209,and 0.110 t,for the BF–IF–BOF process with the scrap ratios of 30%,40%,50%,60%,70%,80%,and 90%,respectively.

文摘This paper presents an air quality simulation model that incorporates shipping activities and weather conditions,with a case study of Hainan Island to examine the impact of ship emissions on air quality.The findings reveal that the density of automatic identification system(AIS)signals is particularly high in the southern coastal regions.The results showed that the annual ship emissions recorded the highest density of 896.7 tons/0.01°,49.8 tons/0.01°,1139.7 tons/0.01°,and 122,000 tons/0.01°for sulfur oxides(SO_(x)),particulate matter(PM),nitrogen oxides(NOx),and carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),respectively.Furthermore,the partial distributions of these emissions were not significantly affected by the seasons.Ships within twelve nautical miles of Hainan coastlines emit approximately 2817.7 tons of SO_(x),14,686.4 tons of NO_(x),630.4 tons of PM_(2.5),and 416.9 tons of hydrocarbons(HC)annually.These emissions are primarily concentrated in the sea areas surrounding the ports of Haikou,Yangpu,Basuo,and Sanya.Ships manufactured between 2000 and 2010 have contributed significantly to air pollution,with SO_(x) and HC emissions accounting for approximately 51%and 56% of total emissions,respectively.However,for shipsmanufactured after 2016,these proportions have dropped to approximately 10%.In terms of air pollutants fromship emissions in Hainan Island,the spatial distribution of their contributions is significantly uneven.The impact of PM2.5 differs significantly depending on the season,with the concentrations being substantially higher during Spring.However,the proportions of O3 and other pollutants do not vary significantly,except during Spring.

文摘Nano-scale chemical inhomogeneity in surface oxide films formed on a V-and N-containing martensite stainless steel and tempering heating induced changes are investigated by a combination of synchrotron-based hard X-ray Photoelectron emission spectroscopy(HAXPES)and microscopy(HAXPEEM)as well as microscopic X-ray absorption spectroscopy(μ-XAS)techniques.The results reveal the inhomogeneity in the oxide films on the micron-sized Cr_(2)N-and VN-type particles,while the inhomogeneity on the martensite matrix phase exists due to localised formation of nano-sized tempering nitride particles at 600℃.The oxide film formed on Cr_(2)N-type particles is rich in Cr_(2)O_(3) compared with that on the martensite matrix and VN-type particles.With the increase of tempering temperature,Cr_(2)O_(3) formation is faster for the oxidation of Cr in the martensite matrix than the oxidation of Cr nitride-rich particles.

文摘Carbonyl sulfide(COS)is an effective tracer for estimating Gross Primary Productivity(GPP)in the carbon cycle.As the largest contribution to the atmosphere,anthropogenic COS emissions must be accurately quantified.In this study,an anthropogenic COS emission inventory from 2015 to 2021 was constructed by applying the bottom-up approach based on activity data from emission sources.China’s anthropogenic COS emissions increased from approximately 171 to 198 Gg S yr^(-1)from 2015-2021,differing from the trends of other pollutants.Despite an initial decline in COS emissions across sectors during the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic,a rapid rebound in emissions occurred following the resumption of economic activities.In 2021,industrial sources,coal combustion,agriculture and vehicle exhaust accounted for 76.8%,12.3%,10.5%and 0.4%of total COS emissions,respectively.The aluminum industry was the primary COS emitter among industrial sources,contributing40.7% of total emissions.Shandong,Shanxi,and Zhejiang were the top three provinces in terms of anthropogenic COS emissions,reaching 39,21 and 17 Gg S yr-1,respectively.Provincial-level regions(hereafter province)with high COS emissions are observed mainly in the eastern and coastal regions of China,which,together with the wind direction,helps explain the pattern of high COS concentrations in the Western Pacific Ocean in winter.The Green Contribution Coefficient of COS(GCCCOS)was used to assess the relationship between GDP and COS emissions,highlighting the disparity between GDP and COS contributions to green development.As part of this analysis,relevant recommendations are proposed to address this disparity.The COS emission inventory in our study can be used as input for the Sulfur Transport and Deposition Model(STEM),reducing uncertainties in the atmospheric COS source?sink budget and promoting understanding of the atmosphere sulfur cycle.
