The reliability and maintainability of electrical system of drum shearer at Parvade. 1 Coal Mine in central Iran was analyzed. The maintenance and failure data were collected during 19 months of shearer operation. According to trend and serial correlation tests, the data were independent and identically distributed (iid) and therefore the statistical techniques were used for modeling. The data analysis show that the time between failures (TBF) and time to repair (TTR) data obey the lognormal and Weibull 3 parameters distribution respectively. Reliability-based preventive maintenance time intervals for electrical system of the drum shearer were calculated with regard to reliability plot. The reliability-based maintenance intervals for 90%, 80%, 70% and 50% reliability level are respectively 9.91, 17.96, 27.56 and 56.1 h. Also the calculations show that time to repair (TTR) of this system varies in range 0.17-4 h with 1.002 h as mean time to repair (MTTR). There is a 80% chance that the electrical system of shearer of Parvade. 1 mine repair will be accomplished within 1.45 h. 展开更多

The core of computer numerical control(CNC) machine tool is the electrical system which controls and coordinates every part of CNC machine tool to complete processing tasks, so it is of great significance to strengthen the reliability of the electrical system. However, the electrical system is very complex due to many uncertain factors and dynamic stochastic characteristics when failure occurs. Therefore, the traditional fault tree analysis(FTA) method is not applicable. Bayesian network(BN) not only has a unique advantage to analyze nodes with multiply states in reliability analysis for complex systems, but also can solve the state explosion problem properly caused by Markov model when dealing with dynamic fault tree(DFT). In addition, the forward causal reasoning of BN can get the conditional probability distribution of the system under considering the uncertainty;the backward diagnosis reasoning of BN can recognize the weak links in system, so it is valuable for improving the system reliability. 展开更多

Electrical system of military vehicle is a typical parameterized nonlinear system where complicated bifurcations may exist and threaten its safe and stable operation. An algebraic criterion for Hopf bifurcation is presented briefly and applied to find Hopf bifurcation point of the electrical system with automatic voltage regulator(AVR) dynamics in military vehicle. Hopf bifurcation controllers are designed for this electrical system by using wash-out filter,linear feedback,nonlinear feedback and their combination. The linear feedback control makes the system bring Hopf bifurcation at preferable parameter,the nonlinear feedback control modifies the type of the bifurcation,and the wash-out filter enhances the system damping,thus,the Hopf bifurcation is eliminated and the electrical system stability is ensured. Based on the integrated design and airworthiness verification of civil aircraft system,this paper completes the simulation modeling and fault modeling of aircraft electrical system. The aircraft electrical system is constructed in the form of dual generators and dual-channel power supply. The main power supply adopts the three-stage power generation system,the auxiliary power supply system uses the permanent magnet synchronous power generation system and a battery. The transmission and distribution system is responsible for the electrical power conversion and the logic control in the system fault-pattern. The simulation results show that the system is reasonable and effective,which provides a reference for the optimal design and control of the actual aircraft electrical system. 展开更多

This paper focuses on a power quality improvement project to solve these problems. A hybrid compensating scheme, including an active compensator and a passive compensator, is carried out. Because of the specificity of oilfield drilling electrical system, compensators are redesigned against features of this application background. And then the current detection point arrangement of this hybrid system is also taken into consideration to build the whole system much more effective and reliable. Racial disparities in electrical and structural cardiac adaptation among adolescent athletes:A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND In pediatric and adolescent athletes,there is a lack of understanding about the impact of factors such as race on the structural or cardiovascular adaptations in response to exercise which may unnecessarily disqualify athletes from the competitive sport.We hypothesized that race has an impact on cardiac adaptions in non-adult athletes.AIM To explore the racial disparity in electrocardiographic(ECG)and echocardiographic(ECHO)parameters in healthy adolescent athletes.METHODS A comprehensive electronic systematic literature search using MEDLINE database was performed from inception to September 20,2024.Inclusion criteria included randomized or observational cohort studies that recruited adolescent competitive athletes in any sport discipline and compared between the Black and White races with an age range of 12-18 years.RESULTS Of 723 records that were identified by the literature search,seven studies(n=5036)were included.The mean age was 13.0-18.0 years old with male predominance.Black athletes had significantly longer PR interval[mean difference(MD)=17.49 millisecond,95% CI:11.70-23.29]and shorter QRS complex duration(MD=-7.35 millisecond,95% CI:-9.17 to-5.53)and corrected QT interval(MD=-4.95 millisecond,95% CI:-7.69 to-2.22)than the White athletes.Black athletes were approximately four times more likely to have first-degree atrioventricular(AV)block,inverted T wave,ST-segment elevation,and left atrium(LA)enlargement than their White counterparts.In terms of ECHO parameters,Black athletes had significantly greater septal wall thickness(MD=0.85 mm,95% CI:0.62-1.07),posterior wall thickness(MD=1.07 mm,95% CI:0.36-1.78),relative wall thickness(MD=0.03,95%CI:0.001-0.06),maximal wall thickness(MD=1.05 mm,95%CI:0.28-1.83),and LA diameter(MD=1.64 mm,95%CI:0.16-3.12).CONCLUSION Race has an impact on the ECG and ECHO parameters that reflect cardiac adaptations in adolescent athletes.Black athletes tend to have an increased prevalence of distinct ECG changes such as first-degree AV block and T-wave inversions compared with their White counterparts.Despite having thicker septal and posterior walls,the overall prevalence of left ventricular hypertrophy did not differ between the races. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Lack of mobilization and prolonged stay in the intensive care unit(ICU)are major factors resulting in the development of ICU-acquired muscle weakness(ICUAW).ICUAW is a type of skeletal muscle dysfunction and a common complication of patients after cardiac surgery,and may be a risk factor for prolonged duration of mechanical ventilation,associated with a higher risk of readmission and higher mortality.Early mobilization in the ICU after cardiac surgery has been found to be low with a significant trend to increase over ICU stay and is also associated with a reduced duration of mechanical ventilation and ICU length of stay.Neuromuscular electrical stimulation(NMES)is an alternative modality of exercise in patients with muscle weakness.A major advantage of NMES is that it can be applied even in sedated patients in the ICU,a fact that might enhance early mobilization in these patients.AIM To evaluate safety,feasibility and effectiveness of NMES on functional capacity and muscle strength in patients before and after cardiac surgery.METHODS We performed a search on Pubmed,Physiotherapy Evidence Database(PEDro),Embase and CINAHL databases,selecting papers published between December 2012 and April 2023 and identified published randomized controlled trials(RCTs)that included implementation of NMES in patients before after cardiac surgery.RCTs were assessed for methodological rigor and risk of bias via the PEDro.The primary outcomes were safety and functional capacity and the secondary outcomes were muscle strength and function.RESULTS Ten studies were included in our systematic review,resulting in 703 participants.Almost half of them performed NMES and the other half were included in the control group,treated with usual care.Nine studies investigated patients after cardiac surgery and 1 study before cardiac surgery.Functional capacity was assessed in 8 studies via 6MWT or other indices,and improved only in 1 study before and in 1 after cardiac surgery.Nine studies explored the effects of NMES on muscle strength and function and,most of them,found increase of muscle strength and improvement in muscle function after NMES.NMES was safe in all studies without any significant complication.CONCLUSION NMES is safe,feasible and has beneficial effects on muscle strength and function in patients after cardiac surgery,but has no significant effect on functional capacity. 展开更多

The technology of electric propulsion aircraft(EPA)represents an important direction and an advanced stage in the development of aviation electrification.It is a key pathway for green development in aviation industry and can significantly enhance the energy efficiency of aircraft propulsion system.Electric motor is the most critical electromechanical energy conversion component in an aircraft electric propulsion system(EPS).High-performance electric motors,power electronic converters and EPS control form the foundation of the EPA.This paper provides an overview of the characteristics of electric motors for EPA,analyzes the inverter topologies of EPSs,and reviews ongoing EPA projects.The article highlights the latest advancements in three types of motors:superconducting motors(SCMs),permanent magnet synchronous motors(PMSMs),and induction motors(IMs).It summarizes the control system architectures of current EPA initiatives and,building on this foundation,proposes future research directions for EPSs.These include cutting-edge areas such as high-performance motors and advanced manufacturing technologies,Ga N-or Si C-based inverter integration and innovation,electric propulsion control systems,and optimization of wiring systems. 展开更多

Thermally conductive papers with electrical insulation and mechanical robustness are essential for efficient thermal management in modern electronics.In this study,we introduced a metal ion-assisted interfacial crosslinking strategy to strengthen sugarfunctionalized graphene fluoride(SGF)and cellulose nanofibers(CNF)by hydrogen bonding and metal ion crosslinking that leads to simultaneous enhancements in thermal conductivity and mechanical properties.The facile sugarassisted ball-milling exfoliation method was developed to achieve the exfoliation of graphite fluoride and hydroxyl group functionalization on the surface of graphene fluoride.Thanks to the good dispersibility of the SGF sheets in water,the flexible SGF/CNF composite papers with hydrogen bonding were prepared via vacuum-assisted filtration.We introduced hydrogen bonding and metal ion crosslinking into SGF/CNF papers to obtain densely packed composite papers.Ca^(2+)or Al^(3+)ion-crosslinked SGF/CNF papers exhibited superior thermal and mechanical properties owing to hydrogen bonding and metal ion crosslinking.SGF/CNF-Ca^(2+)and SGF/CNF-Al^(3+)papers at 50 wt%of SGF yield in-plane thermal conductivities of 72.93 and 75.02 W m^(-1) K^(-1),and tensile strengths of 121.5 and 135.7 MPa,respectively.A thermal percolation value was observed at 12.6 vol%of SGF filler content.In addition,the SGF/CNF papers exhibited electrical insulation properties.These remarkable characteristics of the metal ion-crosslinked SGF/CNF papers are attributed to the densely packed structures caused by the strong interfacial interactions from hydrogen bonding as well as metal ion-crosslinking that could promote phonon transport.High-performance metal ion-crosslinked SGF/CNF papers with these fascinating advantages offer great potential for the thermal management of flexible electronics. 展开更多

Aramid papers (AP), made of aramid fibers, demonstrate superiority in electrical insulation applications. Unfortunately, the strength and electrical insulating properties of AP remain suboptimal, primarily due to the smooth surface and chemical inertness of aramid fibers. Herein, AP are modified via the nacre-mimetic structure composed of aramid nanofibers (ANF) and carbonylated basalt nanosheets (CBSNs). This is achieved by impregnating AP into an ANF-CBSNs (A-C) suspension containing a 3D ANF framework as the matrix and 2D CBSNs as fillers. The resultant biomimetic composite papers (AP/A-C composite papers) exhibit a layered “brick-and-mortar” structure, demonstrating superior mechanical and electrical insulating properties. Notably, the tensile strength and breakdown strength of AP/A-C5 composite papers reach 39.69 MPa and 22.04 kV mm^(−1), respectively, representing a 155 % and 85 % increase compared to those of the control AP. These impressive properties are accompanied with excellent volume resistivity, exceptional dielectric properties, impressive folding endurance, outstanding heat insulation, and remarkable flame retardance. The nacre-inspired strategy offers an effective approach for producing highly promising electrical insulating papers for advanced electrical equipment. 展开更多

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted significant interest as self-templates and precursors for the synthesis of carbon-based composites aimed at electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption.However,the utilization of high-temperature treatments has introduced uncertainties regarding the compositions and microstructures of resulting derivatives.Additionally,complete carbonization has led to diminished yields of the produced carbon composites,significantly limiting their practical applications.Consequently,the exploration of pristine MOF-based EMW absorbers presents an intriguing yet challenging endeavor,primarily due to inherently low electrical conductivity.In this study,we showcase the utilization of structurally robust Zr-MOFs as scaffolds to build highly conductive Zr-MOF/PPy composites via an inner-outer dual-modification approach,which involves the production of conducting polypyrrole(PPy)both within the confined nanoporous channels and the external surface of Zr-MOFs via post-synthetic modification.The interconnection of confined PPy and surface-lined PPy together leads to a consecutive and extensive conducting network to the maximum extent.This therefore entails outstanding conductivity up to~14.3 S cm^(-1) in Zr-MOF/PPy composites,which is approximately 1-2 orders of magnitude higher than that for conductive MOF nanocomposites constructed from either inner or outer modification.Benefiting from the strong and tunable conduction loss,as well as the induced dielectric polarization originated from the porous structures and MOF-polymer interfaces,Zr-MOF/PPy exhibits excellent microwave attenuation capabilities and a tunable absorption frequency range.Specifically,with only 15 wt.%loading,the minimum reflection loss(RLmin)can reach up to-67.4 dB,accompanied by an effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)extending to 6.74 GHz.Furthermore,the microwave absorption characteristics can be tailored from the C-band to the Ku-band by adjusting the loading of PPy.This work provides valuable insights into the fabrication of conductive MOF composites by presenting a straightforward pathway to enhance and reg-ulate electrical conduction in MOF-based nanocomposites,thus paving a way to facilely fabricate pristine MOF-based microwave absorbers. 展开更多

Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)is a kind of physical therapy that use electric cur-rent through the electrodes placed on the surface of acupoints to produce clinical effects in the human body,which is characterized by less adverse reaction and convenient operation.It has been widely used in the treatment of various diseases.This review introduces six major clinical applications of TEAS,named analgesia,regulation of gastrointestinal function,improvement of reproductive function,enhancement of cognitive function,promotion of limb function recovery and relief of fatigue.Besides,TEAS has been ap-plied to the treatment of other chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes,achieving satisfactory clinical effects.However,two crucial challenges are encountered in the development of TEAS.One is the lack of standardization in the selection of parameters such as waveform,frequency,intensity and stimula-tion duration.The other is the limitation on the flexibility in the acupoint selection.This review analyzes key issues that need to be addressed in the current clinical application of TEAS,such as the selection of parameters and acupoints,and this review provides a certain reference value for optimizing regimens of TEAS and promoting its development and application. 展开更多

Effect of Modification and Aging Treatments on Microstructure,Mechanical Properties and Electrical Conductivity of Al8Si0.4Mg0.4Fe Alloy

Self-designed Al8Si0.4Mg0.4Fe aluminium alloy was modified with Sr,followed by solid solution and aging treatments to regulate its microstructure and mechanical/electrical properties.The results show that after the modification treatment,the room-temperature tensile strength of the alloy remains nearly unchanged,the elongation at break slightly increases from 1.82%to 3.34%,and the electrical conductivity significantly increases from 40.1%international annealed copper standard(IACS)to 42.0%IACS.After the modification,the alloy was subjected to solid solution treatment at 515℃for 8 h,followed by aging treatment at 180,200,220 and 240℃for 6 h.With increasing aging temperature,the electrical conductivity increases monotonously from 41.4%IACS to 45.5%IACS,while the room-temperature tensile strength initially increases and then decreases.At 200℃,the alloy achieves an optimal balance between electrical conductivity and room-temperature tensile strength:the electrical conductivity is 42.5%IACS,and the room-temperature tensile strength is 282.9 MPa.When the aging temperature continues to rise,the alloy undergoes overaging.Although the conductivity continues to increase,the room-temperature tensile strength drops sharply,and it is only 177.1 MPa at 240℃. 展开更多

Compared with Cu/Al_(2)O_(3)composites,high-strength Cu/Al_(2)O_(3)composites usually exhibit obviously deteriorated electrical conductivity.A chemical and mechanical alloying-based strategy was adopted to fabricate ultrafine composite powders with lowcontent reinforcement and constructed a combined structure of Cu ultrafine powders covered with in-situ Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles.After consolidation at a relatively lower sintering temperature of 550℃,high-volume-fraction ultrafine grains were introduced into the Cu/Al_(2)O_(3)composite,and many in-situ Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles with an average size of 11.7±7.5 nm were dispersed homogeneously in the Cu grain.Results show that the composite demonstrates an excellent balance of high tensile strength(654±1 MPa)and high electrical conductivity(84.5±0.1%IACS),which is ascribed to the synergistic strengthening effect of ultrafine grains,dislocations,and in-situ Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles.This approach,which utilizes ultrafine composite powder with low-content reinforcement as a precursor and employs low-temperature and high-pressure sintering subsequently,may hold promising potential for large-scale industrial production of high-performance oxide dispersion strengthened alloys. 展开更多
