In this work,we demonstrate the synthesis of ultrathin tungsten-doped hydrogenated TiO_(2)(W-h-TiO_(2))nanosheets for photocatalytic hydrogen production by water splitting without a noble metal as a cocatalyst.In addition to the bandgap modulation and solar absorption enhancement,tungsten doping can introduce more oxygen vacancies and effectively enhance the photothermal effect,which is beneficial for improving the photocatalytic ability of h-TiO_(2)nanosheets. 展开更多

Phase-field modeling of coupled bulk photovoltaic effect and ferroelectric domain manipulation at ultrafast timescales

The bulk photovoltaic(BPV)effect,which generates steady photocurrents and above-bandgap photovoltages in non-centrosymmetric materials when exposed to light,holds great potential for advancing optoelectronic and photo... The bulk photovoltaic(BPV)effect,which generates steady photocurrents and above-bandgap photovoltages in non-centrosymmetric materials when exposed to light,holds great potential for advancing optoelectronic and photovoltaic technologies.However,its influence on the reconfiguration of ferroelectric domain structure remains underexplored.In this study,we developed a phase-field model to understand the BPV effect in ferroelectric oxides.Our model reveals that variations in BPV currents across domains create opposing charges at domain walls,enhancing the electric field within domains to~1000 kV/cm.The strong electric fields can reorient the ferroelectric polarization and enable ultrafast domain wall movements and nonvolatile domain switching on the picosecond scale.Applying anisotropic strain can further strengthen this effect,enablingmore precise control of domain switching.Our findings advance the fundamental understanding of BPV effect in ferroelectrics,paving the ways for developing opto-ferroelectric memory technologies and highefficiency photovoltaic applications via precise domain engineering. 展开更多

To the Editor:Ureteral stricture can lead to dilation of the proximal upper urinary tract and collecting system.Stretching and loading of the ureter by long-term hydronephrosis trigger a stress relaxation effect,which decreases the contractility of the ureter.[1]Morphological changes after surgery may not be obvious even if the obstruction is successfully relieved.Diuretic renography judges split renal function and the nature of obstruction by the uptake and excretion of radionuclides.However,it is influenced by the response of the ipsilateral kidney to diuretics.[2]Currently,there is a lack of homogenized diagnostic and treatment standards,especially evaluation criteria,which makes it difficult to assess the surgical effect and postoperative conditions. 展开更多
