Cases of widespread bone hydatid infection are relatively rare in clinical practice.In this study,we reported for the first time a validated integrated repair therapy for multiple bone tissues,including the hip,femur,and knee,caused by echinococ cosis.Artificial intelligence(AI)was used to develop a targeted surgical plan and to design a personalized prosthesis.Finite element analysis(FEA)was used to optimize the mechanical effectiveness of a customized integrated replacement prosthesis and to model stress distribution in the surrounding bone.Three-dimensional(3 D)printing was used to fabricate a customized prosthesis.With the assistance of AI,FEA,and 3 D printing technology,a personalized surgical plan and customized prosthesis were successfully constructed based on the patient’s disease.This approach achieved a successful therapeutic effect,demonstrating that AI-assisted personalized medicine holds great promise for the future. 展开更多

Wireless Sensor Network(WSNs)consists of a group of nodes that analyze the information from surrounding regions.The sensor nodes are responsible for accumulating and exchanging information.Generally,node local-ization is the process of identifying the target node’s location.In this research work,a Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI)-based optimal node localization approach is proposed to solve the complexities in the conventional node localization models.Initially,the RSSI value is identified using the Deep Neural Network(DNN).The RSSI is conceded as the range-based method and it does not require special hardware for the node localization process,also it consumes a very minimal amount of cost for localizing the nodes in 3D WSN.The position of the anchor nodes is fixed for detecting the location of the target.Further,the optimal position of the target node is identified using Hybrid T cell Immune with Lotus Effect Optimization algorithm(HTCI-LEO).During the node localization process,the average localization error is minimized,which is the objective of the optimal node localization.In the regular and irregular surfaces,this hybrid algorithm effectively performs the localization process.The suggested hybrid algorithm converges very fast in the three-dimensional(3D)environment.The accuracy of the proposed node localization process is 94.25%. 展开更多

Coals include different combinations which should be considered for increasing the plant proficiency. Thus different methods have been used to enrich various coal types. In this study, Alborz-Sharghi coal washing plant was investigated which is fed from five coalmines. The optimum recovery was achieved for all coal types individually through experimental design. The controllable operation parameters in the experiments were collector dosage,frother dosage, solid percent content and particle size. The other parameters such as impeller speed,pH, conditioning time and flotation time were kept constant for all experiments. The optimum combination of coals was also specified. The results show that the optimum recovery for coal blends is 91.2%which shows much improvement relative to the plant conditions. 展开更多

Objectives To explore the optimized program-control mode of a dual-chamber pacemaker combined withβ-blocker to treat congenital long QT syndrome(LQTS).Methods 12 LQTS patients in our hospital that still have symptoms despite use of regular drug therapies or that can not endure the therapies were implanted with DDD cardiac pacemaker.The QT/QTc intervals of those patients were measured at different pacing rates respectively.Their cardiac pacemakers were all programmed to selectively turn on and turn off some related functions at the pacing rate of 80 beats/min.The dosage ofβ-blockers was adjusted according to the patients’PR intervals and blood pressures.The MACE and the cardiac function of the patients were recorded after operation.Results The measured QT/QTc interval decreased with the pacing rate increasing.The pacing rate of 80 beats/min can make QT/QTc interval basically normal.The MACE of the patients were statistically declined(P=0.003)and no negative effect on cardiac function was found during the follow-up.Conclusions The optimized program-control mode of a dual-chamber pacemaker combined withβ-blocker to treat congenital LQTS are:to pace at the rate of 80 beats/min and program to turn off lag,sleep,automatic preventing PMT and automatic threshold-capture feature and turn on the PVC,rate adaptation and atrioventricular node priority function. 展开更多

Residential building energy optimization using EnergyPlus

The building sector,especially residential buildings,accounts for a significant proportion of global energy consumption.Therefore,improving the energy efficiency of buildings is thus crucial.This research utilized EnergyPlus to perform simulation analysis on standard residential prototype models and adopted the multi-dimensional comparative study to evaluate the optimization effect under different cases,using Chicago as the simulation location.This research included both active design and passive design dimensions and conducted simulation analysis on energy consumption of heating,cooling,and the whole building.The active design involved a temperature setpoint schedule comprehensively considering occupant activities,comfort,and energy-saving performance.Passive design of the thickness and thermal conductivity of different wall layers were clustered,comparing positive and negative aspects through±30%variations to ensure the effectiveness of the optimization plan.This indicates that among the various design factors,optimizing temperature setpoint can yield a larger energy-saving outcome compared with optimizing thermal conductivity and thickness.Compared to the baseline,changing the temperature setpoint in the active design based on occupant habits significantly reduces annual energy consumption by about 16%.In passive design,optimizing the wall console layer has a more significant effect when simulating changes in thermal conductivity and thickness.This conclusion can help building architects develop the most appropriate and effective solutions when designing and optimizing buildings to achieve the energy sustainability goal. 展开更多

Graphene has unique properties paving the way for groundbreaking future applications.Its large optical nonlinearity and ease of integration in devices notably makes it an ideal candidate to become a key component for all-optical switching and frequency conversion applications.In the terahertz(THz)region,various approaches have been independently demonstrated to optimize the nonlinear effects in graphene,addressing a critical limitation arising from the atomically thin interaction length.Here,we demonstrate sample architectures that combine strategies to enhance THz nonlinearities in graphene-based structures.We achieve this by increasing the interaction length through a multilayered design,controlling carrier density with an electrical gate,and modulating the THz field spatial distribution with a metallic metasurface substrate.Our study specifically investigates third harmonic generation(THG)using a table-top high-field THz source.We measure THG enhancement factors exceeding thirty and propose architectures capable of achieving a two-order-of-magnitude increase.These findings underscore the potential of engineered graphene-based structures in advancing THz frequency conversion technologies for signal processing and wireless communication applications. 展开更多

The multi-objective differential evolution(MODE)algorithm is an effective method to solve multi-objective optimization problems.However,in the absence of any information of evolution progress,the optimization strategy of the MODE algorithm still appears as an open problem.In this paper,a dynamic multi-objective differential evolution algorithm,based on the information of evolution progress(DMODE-IEP),is developed to improve the optimization performance.The main contributions of DMODE-IEP are as follows.First,the information of evolution progress,using the fitness values,is proposed to describe the evolution progress of MODE.Second,the dynamic adjustment mechanisms of evolution parameter values,mutation strategies and selection parameter value based on the information of evolution progress,are designed to balance the global exploration ability and the local exploitation ability.Third,the convergence of DMODE-IEP is proved using the probability theory.Finally,the testing results on the standard multi-objective optimization problem and the wastewater treatment process verify that the optimization effect of DMODE-IEP algorithm is superior to the other compared state-of-the-art multi-objective optimization algorithms,including the quality of the solutions,and the optimization speed of the algorithm. 展开更多
