In the approximation that the function A(p^2) in inverse quark propagator is replaced by unity, by means of the running gauge coupling and the quark mass function invariant under the renormalization group in zero temperature Quantum Chromadynamics (QCD), we obtain a calculable expression for the thermal effective potential, which will be a useful means to research chiral phase transition in QCD in the real-time formalism.展开更多

A new effective potential and its partner are derived from a superpotential so that all parameters are fitted by the experimental data. An analytical expression is obtained for the deuteron wave function and contributions of the orthogonal ^(13)S_(1) and ^(13)D_(1) states are determined, explicitly. Compared to one pion exchange, the superpotential produces an electrostatic as well as two pion exchange terms for the potential. The saddle point radius of the potential and the maximum of the wave function are linearly proportional. In comparison with other methods, the approach presented in this paper is a new and extensible symmetry-based approach that, despite its straightforward calculations and explicit analytical expressions, provides a good explanation for two-body effective interactions such as two-nucleon systems and diatomic molecules.展开更多

The current and the slope of the effective potential as functions of the temperature and transition rates are calculated in the two-state model. The ratio of the slope of the effective potential to the current is also calculated. It is shown that the directed motion of motor proteins is relevant to the effective potential. The slope of the effective potential corresponds to an average force. The non-vanishing force therefore implies that detailed balance is broken in the process of transition between different states.展开更多

Twelve canines were divided into two groups randomly: acute ischemia (AI) group and sham operation (SO) group. By using the monophasic action potential (MAP) technique, MAP and effective refractory period (ERP) of the three layers myocardium were measured by specially designed plunge needle electrodes and the transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR) and transmural dispersion of ERP (TDE) were analyzed. The results showed that in the AI group, MAP duration (MAPD) was shortened from 201.67±21.42 ms to 169.50±13.81 ms (P〈0.05), but ERP prolonged to varying degrees and TDE increased during ischemia. In the SO group, MAPD and ERP did not change almost. Among of the three layers myocardium of canine, MAPD was coincident in two groups. It was concluded that during acute ischemia, MAPD was shortened sharply, but there was no significant difference among of the three layers myocardium. The prolonged ERP was concomitant with increased TDE during acute ischemia, which may play an important role in the occurrence of arrhythmias induced by acute ischemia. These findings may have important implications in arrhythmogenesis.展开更多

It is found that the wave function is comprised of a phase factor times the solution to the unperturbed time-dependent Schr6dinger equation with the latter being translated by a time-dependent value that satisfies the classical driven equation of motion. The wave function reduces to that of the harmonic potential theorem wave function when both the effective mass and frequency are static. An example of application is also given.展开更多

From the change of the shape of the potential function at different compositions, we can infer that when x is between 0. 7 and 0. 8 the nonmetal-metal transition occurs in this system. This is the first time to use the calculation of the potential function to find the NM-M transition Furthermore we give the longitudinal and transverse phonon frequencies by using Bhatia-Singh'S model. Then the elastic constants are computed. Using the potential function, the characteristic frequency is obtained and compared with the average frequency, Debye frequency, and the maximum longitudinal frequency compute4 by other methods. Finally, we compare the sound velocities calculated from the elastic constants in the long-wave limit with corresponding experimental values.展开更多

We show that both the effective diffusion and the effective drag coefficient are mathematically well-defined and we derive analytic expressions for these two quantities. We then investigate the asymptotic behaviors of the effective diffusion and the effective drag coefficient, respectively, for small driving force and for large driving force. In the case of small driving force, the effective diffusion is reduced from its Brownian value by a factor that increases exponentially with the amplitude of the potential. The effective drag coefficient is increased by approximately the same factor. As a result, the Einstein relation between the diffusion coefficient and the drag coefficient is approximately valid when the driving force is small. For moderately large driving force, both the effective diffusion and the effective drag coefficient are increased from their Brownian values, and the Einstein relation breaks down. In the limit of very large driving force, both the effective diffusion and the effective drag coefficient converge to their Brownian values and the Einstein relation is once again valid.展开更多

文摘It is arguable that the development of reinforcing roof bolting systems has largely stagnated in recent times, primarily due to the prevailing industry view that few, if any, further improvements can be made to what currently exists. However, this paper contends that reinforcing roof bolting systems can be further refined by considering both the specific manner by which horizontally bedded roof strata loses its natural self-supporting ability and the specific means by which reinforcing roof bolts act to promote or retain this natural self-supporting ability. The Australian coal industry has insisted on minimising bolt-hole diameter to maximise load transfer and on targeting full-encapsulation by any means necessary for many years. This has led to a significant, albeit unintended, consequence in terms of overall roof bolting effectiveness, namely increased resin pressures during bolt installation and the associated potential for opening bedding planes that may have, otherwise, remained closed during the bolt installation process.Given that the natural self-supporting ability of roof strata is strongly linked to whether bedding planes are open or closed, logically, minimising resin pressures should be a significant benefit. This paper focuses primarily on three key issues that relate directly to the function of the roof bolting system itself:(1) the importance of proper resin mixing in the context of maximising load transfer strength and stiffness,(2) the importance of minimising resin pressures developed during bolt installation, and(3) the importance of maximising the effectiveness of the available bolt pre-tension.All mine operators should be invested in improving the individual effectiveness of each installed roof bolt, even by relatively small incremental amounts, so this is an important topic for discussion within the mining community.
文摘We complete the derivation of the Cornwall-Jackiw-Tomboulis effective potentiM for quark propagator at finite temperature and finite quark chemical potential in the real-time formalism of thermal field theory and in Landau gauge. In the approximation that the function A(p^2) in inverse quark propagator is replaced by unity, by means of the running gauge coupling and the quark mass function invariant under the renormalization group in zero temperature Quantum Chromadynamics (QCD), we obtain a calculable expression for the thermal effective potential, which will be a useful means to research chiral phase transition in QCD in the real-time formalism.
文摘We have proven the general relations between the gap equations obeyed by dynamical fermion mass and thecorresponding effective potentials at finite temperature and chemical potential in D-dimensional four-fermion interactionmodels. This gives an easy approach to get effective potentials directly from the gap equations. We find out explicitexpressions for the effective potentials at zero temperature in the cases of D = 2,3, and 4 for practical use.

文摘We calculate for the first time the static properties of the deuteron, within the framework of supersymmetric quantum mechanics, analytically. In comparison with other methods, the approach presented in this paper is a new and extensible symmetry-based approach that, despite its straightforward calculations and explicit analytical expressions, provides a good explanation for two-body effective interactions such as two-nucleon systems and diatomic molecules.
文摘We study force generation and motion of molecular motors using a simple two-state model in the paper.Asymmetric and periodic potential is adopted to describe the interaction between motor proteins and filaments that are periodic and polar. The non-vanishing force therefore implies that detailed balance is broken in the process of transition between different states.
文摘In the framework of the functional integral formalism, we calculate the effective potential of the double sine-Gordon (DsG) model up to the second order with an optimized expansion and the Coleman's normal-ordering prescription. Within the range of convergence, we make a comparison among the classicaland the effective potential of the first and second order. The numerical analysis shows that the DsG post-Gaussian EP possesses some fine global properties and makes a substantial and a concordant quantum correction to the features of the classical potential.

文摘Poria is an important medicine for inducing diuresis to drain dampness from the middle energizer. However, the specific effective components and the potential mechanism of Poria remain largely unknown. To identify the effective components and the mechanism of Poria water extract(PWE)to treat dampness stagnancy due to spleen deficiency syndrome(DSSD),a rat model of DSSD was established through weight-loaded forced swimming, intragastric ice-water stimulation, humid living environment, and alternate-day fasting for 21 days. After 14 days of treatment with PWE,the results indicated that PWE increased fecal moisture percentage, urine output,D-xylose level and weight;amylase, albumin, and total protein levels;and the swimming time of rats with DSSD to different extents.Eleven highly related components were screened out using the spectrum-effect relationship and LC-MS.Mechanistic studies revealed that PWE significantly increased the expression of serum motilin(MTL),gastrin(GAS),ADCY5/6,p-PKAα/β/γcat,and phosphorylated cAMP-response element binding protein in the stomach, and AQP3 expression in the colon. Moreover,it decreased the levels of serum ADH,the expression of AQP3 and AQP4 in the stomach,AQP1 and AQP3 in the duodenum, and AQP4 in the colon.PWE induced diuresis to drain dampness in rats with DSSD.Eleven main effective components were identified in PWE.They exerted therapeutic effect by regulating the AC-cAMP-AQP signaling pathway in the stomach,MTL and GAS levels in the serum,AQP1 and AQP3 expression in the duodenum, and AQP3 and AQP4 expression in the colon.
文摘Summary: The effect of acute ischemia on the electrophysiological characteristics of the three layers myocardium of canine in vivo was investigated. These findings may have important implications in arrhythmogenesis.

文摘We investigate the many-body wave function of a quantum system with time-dependent effective mass, confined by a harmonic potential with time-dependent frequency, and perturbed by a time-dependent spatially homogeneous electric field. An example of application is also given.
文摘Using experimental values of the structure factor of liquid Se1-xTex(x =0. 0, 0. 6, 0. 7, 0. 8, 1. 0. ) alloys measured by Takeda et al., the potential functions at different compositions are derived from Rao-Joarder'S equation. Finally, we compare the sound velocities calculated from the elastic constants in the long-wave limit with corresponding experimental values.
文摘We study the stochastic motion of a Brownian particle driven by a constant force over a static periodic potential. In the limit of very large driving force, both the effective diffusion and the effective drag coefficient converge to their Brownian values and the Einstein relation is once again valid.
