Nursing education is undergoing a paradigm shift from skill training to clinical thinking cultivation. The integration of artificial intelligence technology offers technical possibilities for this transformation, but it also brings about a deep tension between the cultivation of humanistic qualities and a standardized training.Based on the analysis of the practical forms of nursing smart education, this paper examines the cognitive gap between the deterministic feedback of virtual simulation systems and the complexity of real clinical scenarios, reveals the potential narrowing effect of data-driven ability profiling on the all-round development of nursing students, and then proposes the design logic of intelligent teaching resources centered on real clinical problems,a hierarchical teaching model with clear human-machine division of labor, and a dynamic assessment mechanism for technology application led by professional nursing teachers,in an attempt to find a balance between technological empowerment and humanistic commitment in smart nursing education. 展开更多

In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital transformation and industrial integration, higher education faces the challenge of cultivating applied talents equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge, engineering skills, and innovative thinking.Traditional teaching models often fail to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, resulting in passive learning and limited problem-solving capabilities. This paper proposes a three-dimensional integrated teaching model centered on“Information Technology-Domain Knowledge-Outcome Production”(the“2+2+2”credit framework)to address these challenges.Drawing on constructivist theories,Bloom’s Taxonomy, and the CDIO model, the framework uses real projects to drive learning, facilitating the seamless integration of theoretical teaching and practical innovation. The model emphasizes tiered teaching objectives and interdisciplinary pathways, supported by dynamic assessment systems that track students’growth in knowledge, skills, and abilities.Applied in smart health and financial technology domains, this approach enhances students’comprehensive capabilities, aligning educational outcomes with industry demands. This study offers replicable strategies for educational reform in new engineering disciplines, aiming to transform students into proactive innovators and versatile talents. 展开更多

In a world growing ever more cruel and violent as nihilism becomes generalized,a world in which the disintegration of the human assumes dimensions that threaten its very cohesion, the demand for the humanization of the Western individual asserts itself as an urgent historical task.Among the institutions implicated in this process, education assumes a central role,as it is within it that wonder and critical thinking are gradually eliminated, together with the demand for shared deliberation, coherent meaning, and the tragic dimension of human existence, while an education of cruelty comes to permeate it from end to end.In order to prevent the full entrenchment of evil in the social world, from which only destruction can be expected,a decisive role could be played by caring thinking that would be coordinated with corresponding action and would come to deeply characterize the educational institution.Such a form of thinking was proposed in the second half of the twentieth century and took flesh and bones within the framework of the Philosophy for Children movement. Its contemporary application within educational practice could reactivate phronesis(practical wisdom)and contribute to enabling the Western human being to re-create themselves as a democratic human being-one who desires the creation of a world of freedom, equality, and justice, and who acts accordingly to bring it about:the creation of a compassionate and prudent world, the preservation of which would be the responsibility of all. 展开更多

Objectives:One of the most notable challenges in endoscopic procedures is maintaining correct orientation.Mental rotation exercise(MRE)has been suggested as a potential aid for improving orientation. However, there is a lack of research on designing MREs with varying difficultylevels for training purposes.Furthermore, few studies provide solid evidence linking MRE difficultylevels with cognitive load measurements. This study aims to address this gap by investigating the correlation between the MRE difficultylevels and participants’cognitive load,as measured by pupil dilation.Method:We recruited 33 participants to perform MREs on a computer equipped with a screen-mounted eye-tracker.The test consisted of 15 MREs,with the first10 relatively easy(traditional cube)and the next 5 more complex(invented molecule). The participants’eye movements during MREs were recorded. The participants’MRE scores and pupil dilation were obtained and compared between two MRE difficultylevels. Results:The participants who performed traditional cube MREs achieved significantlybetter MRE scores(0.77±0.11 vs.0.58±0.03,p<0.001)and lower pupil dilation(0.27±0.04 pixels vs.0.47±0.09 pixels,p<0.001)than did those who performed the invented molecule MREs.Moreover, there were significant negative correlations(r=0.62,p=0.015)between pupil dilation and MRE scores. Conclusions:The results revealed a significantnegative correlation between MRE scores and pupil dilation. The more challenging MRE questions led to worse MRE scores but increased pupil dilation. The MRE difficultylevels can be evaluated not only by the degrees or dimensions with which the objects were rotated but also by the participants’MRE scores and pupil dilation. The results of this study provide a basis for training orientation skills in endoscopy using MREs.By incorporating MREs with varying difficultylevels, customized training programs can be developed to enhance camera navigation in endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. 展开更多

The rapidly evolving cybersecurity threat landscape exposes a critical flaw in traditional educational programs where static curricula cannot adapt swiftly to novel attack vectors. This creates a significant gap between theoretical knowledge and the practical defensive capabilities needed in the field. To address this,we propose TeachSecure-CTI,a novel framework for adaptive cybersecurity curriculumgeneration that integrates real-time Cyber Threat Intelligence(CTI)with AI-driven personalization. Our framework employs a layered architecture featuring a CTI ingestion and clusteringmodule, natural language processing for semantic concept extraction, and a reinforcement learning agent for adaptive content sequencing.Bydynamically aligning learningmaterialswithboththe evolving threat environment and individual learner profiles,TeachSecure-CTI ensures content remains current, relevant, and tailored.A 12-week study with 150 students across three institutions demonstrated that the framework improves learning gains by 34%,significantly exceeding the 12%–21%reported in recent literature. The system achieved 84.8%personalization accuracy,85.9%recognition accuracy for MITRE ATT&CK tactics, and a 31%faster competency development rate compared to static curricula. These findings have implications beyond academia, extending to workforce development, cyber range training, and certification programs.By bridging the gap between dynamic threats and static educational materials,TeachSecure-CTI offers an empirically validated, scalable solution for cultivating cybersecurity professionals capable of responding to modern threats. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Orthopaedic surgical education has traditionally depended on the apprenticeship model of“see one,do one, teach one”.However, reduced operative exposure, stricter work-hour regulations, medicolegal constraints... BACKGROUND Orthopaedic surgical education has traditionally depended on the apprenticeship model of“see one,do one, teach one”.However, reduced operative exposure, stricter work-hour regulations, medicolegal constraints, and patient safety concerns have constrained its practicality.Simulation-based training has become a reliable, safe, and cost-efficient alternative.Dry lab techniques, especially virtual and augmented reality, make up 78%of current dry lab research, whereas wet labs still set the standard for anatomical realism.AIM To evaluate the effectiveness, limitations, and future directions of wet and dry lab simulation in orthopaedic training.METHODS A scoping review was carried out across four databases-PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science, and EBSCOhost-up to 2025.Medical Subject Headings included:"Orthopaedic Education","Wet Lab","Dry Lab","Simulation Training","Virtual Reality",and"Surgical Procedure".Eligible studies focused on orthopaedic or spinal surgical education, employed wet or dry lab techniques, and assessed training effectiveness.Exclusion criteria consisted of non-English publications, abstracts only,non-orthopaedic research, and studies unrelated to simulation. Two reviewers independently screened titles, abstracts, and full texts, resolving discrepancies with a third reviewer.RESULTS From 1851 records,101 studies met inclusion:78 on dry labs,7 on wet labs,4 on both.Virtual reality(VR)simulations were most common, with AI increasingly used for feedback and assessment.Cadaveric training remains the gold standard for accuracy and tactile feedback, while dry labs-especially VR-offer scalability, lower cost(40%-60%savings in five studies),and accessibility for novices.Senior residents prefer wet labs for complex tasks;juniors favour dry labs for basics.Challenges include limited transferability data, lack of standard outcome metrics, and ethical concerns about cadaver use and AI assessment.CONCLUSION Wet and dry labs each have unique strengths in orthopaedic training.A hybrid approach combining both, supported by standardised assessments and outcome studies,is most effective.Future efforts should aim for uniform reporting, integrating new technologies, and policy support for hybrid curricula to enhance skills and patient care. 展开更多
