The use of educational technology focused on child health promotion requires theoretical-methodological foundations to support aspects related to the growth and psychomotor development stage, articulating knowledge and healthy habits as early as possible. This article is an integrative review to investigate the educational technologies used in health education actions to promote child health. The databases LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, PUBMED, CINAHL, and in the Virtual library Cochrane Library and SciELO were consulted. Thirteen articles were analyzed. The educational technologies have been employed to promote child health promotion actions and have contributed to the achievement of long-lasting results. The actions happen predominantly in the school context and light, light-hard and hard technologies are used. The association between light and hard technology obtained better results. 展开更多

This systematic review aims to examine the role of modern technologies in supporting quality in teaching and learning processes.Using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)guidelines,a comprehensive analysis of literature published between 2020-2025 was conducted to identify current trends,challenges,and advances in technology-enhanced education.The study analyzed 15 peer-reviewed articles focusing on the implementation of modern technologies such as technology-enhanced learning platforms,professional development systems,electronic educational resources,information technology applications,and next-generation learning systems in educational settings.The findings reveal that modern technologies significantly enhance learning outcomes,student engagement,and teaching effectiveness when properly implemented.Key benefits include improved 21st century skills development(up to 38%improvement),enhanced teaching competency(37%improvement),increased learning efficiency(41%enhancement),and better classroom performance(35%improvement in efficiency).However,challenges such as systematic implementation requirements,pedagogical integration needs,infrastructure limitations,technical investment requirements,and institutional coordination barriers remain significant obstacles to widespread adoption.The review identifies emerging technologies including next-generation learning systems,interactive digital platforms,and innovative teaching technologies as promising solutions for future educational enhancement.The study concludes that successful integration of modern technologies requires systematic implementation approaches,comprehensive teacher training,robust institutional support,pedagogical alignment,and continuous evaluation processes.Critical success factors include strategic planning,quality assurance frameworks,sustainability planning,and evidence-based decision making.These findings provide valuable insights for educators,policymakers,and technology developers working to improve educational quality through technological innovation.The research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on technology-enhanced education and offers practical recommendations for implementing sustainable and effective digital learning solutions that prioritize pedagogical effectiveness while leveraging technological capabilities for comprehensive educational enhancement. 展开更多

Advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and other large language models(LLMs)have significantly impacted fields such as education and research in recent years.ChatGPT benefits students and educators by providing personalized feedback,facilitating interactive learning,and introducing innovative teaching methods.While many researchers have studied ChatGPT across various subject domains,few analyses have focused on the engineering domain,particularly in addressing the risks of academic dishonesty and potential declines in critical thinking skills.To address this gap,this study explores both the opportunities and limitations of ChatGPT in engineering contexts through a two-part analysis.First,we conducted experiments with ChatGPT to assess its effectiveness in tasks such as code generation,error checking,and solution optimization.Second,we surveyed 125 users,predominantly engineering students,to analyze ChatGPTs role in academic support.Our findings reveal that 93.60%of respondents use ChatGPT for quick academic answers,particularly among early-stage university students,and that 84.00%find it helpful for sourcing research materials.The study also highlights ChatGPT’s strengths in programming assistance,with 84.80%of users utilizing it for debugging and 86.40%for solving coding problems.However,limitations persist,with many users reporting inaccuracies in mathematical solutions and occasional false citations.Furthermore,the reliance on the free version by 96%of users underscores its accessibility but also suggests limitations in resource availability.This work provides key insights into ChatGPT’s strengths and limitations,establishing a framework for responsible AI use in education.Highlighting areas for improvement marks a milestone in understanding and optimizing AI’s role in academia for sustainable future use. 展开更多

Online learning has taken root and with the advancement in technology more and more educators are embracing online learning.During the COVID-19 pandemic,with total shut down of face-to-face learning,the Kenyan government had moved learning online and remotely.To find out on how learners in remote areas were experiencing learning during the COVID-19 pandemic,a study was carried out using rapid ethnography design.Five final year secondary students were sampled.Data was collected through interviews,observations,and document analysis.This paper reports on the findings of online and remote learning platforms,which were available,accessed,and preferred by the learners in remote areas of Kenya during the pandemic.It also highlights the importance of e-learning platforms in addressing learning experiences and success. 展开更多

This study proposes a learner profile framework based on multi-feature fusion,aiming to enhance the precision of personalized learning recommendations by integrating learners’static attributes(e.g.,demographic data and historical academic performance)with dynamic behavioral patterns(e.g.,real-time interactions and evolving interests over time).The research employs Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency(TF-IDF)for semantic feature extraction,integrates the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)for feature weighting,and introduces a time decay function inspired by Newton’s law of cooling to dynamically model changes in learners’interests.Empirical results demonstrate that this framework effectively captures the dynamic evolution of learners’behaviors and provides context-aware learning resource recommendations.The study introduces a novel paradigm for learner modeling in educational technology,combining methodological innovation with a scalable technical architecture,thereby laying a foundation for the development of adaptive learning systems. 展开更多

This article explores the transformative role of digital education in overcoming geographic and systemic challenges in the Maldives,an archipelagic nation facing unique educational constraints.Leveraging digital tools offers a critical solution to bridge these barriers and ensure accessible,quality education across the islands.The Maldives National University(MNU)has undertaken initiatives to expand digital education offerings,accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate online learning across the Maldives.Drawing on MNU’s 2021 study,“The Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on the Higher Education Sector of Maldives:Responses and Challenges,”this paper examines challenges such as infrastructure limitations,digital literacy gaps,and student engagement,alongside MNU’s strategies to address these issues.This article also highlights MNU’s ongoing research initiatives,including participation in the EU Erasmus project DIGITAsia and a completed e-learning project with the EU,and discusses the value of international collaboration in advancing digital education.Furthermore,it outlines current government initiatives aimed at enhancing digital literacy among citizens.Future directions are discussed,including the integration of adaptive technologies to further personalize learning and prepare students for the demands of a global digital economy. 展开更多

Optimizing Cognitive Load in Digital Mathematics Textbooks:A Mixed-Methods Study on Content Organization and Application Models

This paper examines the grain of content in junior high mathematics digital textbooks from People’s Education Press(PEP)using Cognitive Load Theory(CLT)in a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design:(1)bibliometric analysis of 2008–2023142 publications found substantial gaps in cognitive-aligned pedagogical design;then,(2)large-scale surveys of 231 teachers and 102 students found critical gaps in navigation intuitiveness(71.3%),interactive affordance deficiency(68.9%),and personal pathway rigidity(76.5%).(3)Interviews with 6 teachers and 3 developers further revealed these deficiencies lay in:(1)content fragmentation serving procedural skills at the expense of conceptual integration;(2)sequence disruption violating CLT’s intrinsic load tenets;and(3)passive multimodal serving static text/images(82%of resources)limiting germane processing.We thus innovated a CLT-driven framework to reduce intrinsic load by animating schema builders chunking complex concepts,minimize extraneous load by Gestalt-principled UI redesign serving spatial consistency,and enhance germane load by adaptive analytics serving personal pathways.Empirical results showed 34%more knowledge retention(p<0.01,d=1.87)and 28%less perceived cognitive load(NASA-TLX)relative to conventional textbooks.Our work contributed both a theoretically grounded resource optimization model and an advancement of CLT in technology-enhanced mathematics instruction. 展开更多

As artificial intelligence(AI)technologies continue to transform education,fostering AI literacy among university students has become increasingly important.Despite growing interest in AI-related education,empirical research on university students’AI literacy,particularly in the Chinese higher education context,remains limited.This study aims to examine the current state of AI literacy among Chinese university students through a survey-based approach.Grounded in five dimensions-AI knowledge,skills,ethics,thinking,and collaboration-the study surveyed 83 undergraduate students.The results indicate that while students possess a foundational level of AI literacy,there is considerable room for development.Positive correlations among all five dimensions suggest a mutually reinforcing relationship in students’AI engagement.Specifically,students with greater awareness of AI applications tend to demonstrate stronger collaborative learning abilities,and those who recognize the interdisciplinary nature of AI show greater attentiveness to its advancements.These findings underscore the need for more integrated and dimensionally balanced AI literacy education in higher education contexts. 展开更多

With the deep integration of artificial intelligence(AI)and education,the reform of college English teaching evaluation has entered a new stage.Traditional college English evaluation systems are faced with problems such as over-reliance on summative assessment,a single evaluation dimension,and lagging feedback.This study explores the innovative path of multiple evaluation systems in college English teaching empowered by AI,aiming to construct a dynamic,comprehensive,and personalized evaluation model.Through literature review,case analysis,and empirical research,it is found that AI technologies such as natural language processing,machine learning,and big data analytics can effectively support the diversification of evaluation subjects(teachers,students,peers,AI systems),the enrichment of evaluation dimensions(knowledge mastery,language competence,learning processes,and innovative thinking),and the intelligence of evaluation feedback.However,challenges such as algorithmic bias,data privacy risks,and the weakening of teacher-student interaction still exist.Finally,this study proposes countermeasures,including optimizing AI algorithms,strengthening data security,and balancing AI and human roles,to provide theoretical and practical references for the reform of college English teaching evaluation. 展开更多

The integration of education,technology,and talent is a strategic institutional arrangement for China to build a high-quality education system and achieve innovation-driven development in the new era.As the main platform for cultivating technical and skilled talents,vocational education faces dilemmas such as ambiguous role positioning,conflicting role expectations,and insufficient role capabilities when it comes to the coupling of the three functions of“education-technology-talent”.Based on the analytical framework of role theory and structural functionalism,this paper proposes three paths:clarifying role positioning through the integration of vocational and general education,reconstructing role expectations through the integration of science and education,and enhancing role capabilities through the integration of industry and education.These paths provide theoretical references and practical guidance for optimizing the function of vocational education in the collaborative innovation system. 展开更多

Objective: To evaluate the suitability of educational videos produced in Brazil that addressed aspects related to prevention and/or management of infant diarrhea according to content;language;graphic illustrations;stimulation for learning/motivation and cultural fit. Method: Documentary study, which evaluated six educational videos from an adapted and validated tool, the Suitability Assessment of Materials. Three nurses evaluated the videos. Data were processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 17.0, and presented in tables and graphics. Results: It was found that 4 (66.6%) of the educational videos were classified as appropriate, ranging from 60% to 63.3% of full approval, and 2 (33.3%) were assessed as higher, reaching up to 83.3% to 90% approval. Considering the socioeconomic and cultural contexts of the videos to the audience, they assigned notes ranging from 6 to 9 in a rating ranging from 0, the minimum score, to 10, the highest score. Conclusion: The educational videos were considered adequate, with positive results about the content on the prevention and management of infant diarrhea, being appropriate for the target audience. As a result, greater credibility is ratified as the use thereof, since these resources can contribute to health promotion and prevention of diarrhea in children. 展开更多
