BACKGROUND Pediatric asthma is a significant public health issue that impacts the quality of life of children globally.Traditional management approaches focus on symptom control and medication adherence but often over...BACKGROUND Pediatric asthma is a significant public health issue that impacts the quality of life of children globally.Traditional management approaches focus on symptom control and medication adherence but often overlook the comprehensive educational needs of patients and their families.A multifaceted health education approach may offer a more holistic strategy in managing pediatric asthma,especially in outpatient settings.AIM To evaluate the efficacy of a comprehensive health education strategy in improving disease management,medication adherence,and quality of life among children with asthma in outpatient settings.METHODS In total,100 pediatric patients with severe asthma were enrolled from January 2021 to November 2022 and randomly allocated to a control group(n=50)or an observation group(n=50).The control group received standard nursing care,including basic nursing interventions and health education upon admission.In contrast,the observation group was exposed to a broad spectrum of health education methodologies,including internet-based hospital systems,social media channels,one-on-one verbal education,informational brochures,slide present ations,telephone check-ins,animated videos,and illustrated health education manuals.Data on asthma management knowledge,symptom control,quality of life[St.George’s Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ)],treatment adherence,and nursing satisfaction were collected and analyzed.RESULTS The scores of the observation group in knowledge areas,such as medication,home care,disease understanding,symptom management,prevention strategies,and nutritional guidance,were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).In addition,the observation group exhibited greater symptom control,improved quality of life based on their SGRQ scores,and higher treatment adherence post-intervention(P<0.05).Nursing satisfaction was also rated higher in the observation group across all evaluated areas(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Implementing a diversified health education approach in pediatric asthma management significantly enhances disease understanding,symptom management,and treatment adherence,leading to improved quality of life for affected children.These findings underscore the importance of multifaceted clinical health education in augmenting disease awareness and facilitating continuous improvements in asthma control rates,highlighting the potential benefits of incorporating comprehensive educational strategies into pediatric asthma care protocols.展开更多

This paper analyzes the existing ideological and political construction mode of vocational education curriculum, based on the constructivism theory, according to the curriculum objectives, closely following the cognitive law and the characteristics of vocational activities, reconstructs the curriculum modularly, constructs the dual channels of ability advancement and quality improvement, forms a curriculum ideological and political design idea of collaborative education, and designs the curriculum as a whole. According to the requirements of all-round and whole-process education, this paper explores the implementation path of ideological and political education, and carries out ideological and political practice teaching through the interactive curriculum co-construction of three teachers, online and offline resource coverage, and professional quality integration assessment. According to the "student-centered" teaching strategy, combined with the specific cases of the course, the design and implementation were verified. The results showed that students professional identity and professional quality were significantly improved, and their awareness of combining morality with technology was significantly enhanced, thus achieving the goal of curriculum education and improving the ability of curriculum education. Through exploration, the education mode of "big country project leading, three teachers cooperating and five self-educating" has been formed, which has improved the ideological and political construction ideas and specific implementation paths, and has practical reference and popularization value for ideological and political construction of engineering majors.展开更多

On ...Library Science Education(LSE) in China has undergone almost one hundred years. This paper discusses and explores the development of the LSE and its interaction with the society in mainly three historical periods. On one hand, this paper analyzes the influences of the social, economic, political, educational, cultural, and scientific and technological environments on LSE’s system, scale, thought, mode, and content from a theoretical perspective;on the other hand, it points out that the LSE promoted and supported the development of the society through cultivating talents and disseminating knowledge. LSE had cultivated a number of outstanding professionals during the period of Republic of China(1911-1949). However, due to the lack of a good interaction with the society, the development of LSE was constrained by the social environment in this period. From 1950 to 1977, the development of the LSE was still relatively slow in spite of the improved social environment in China. From 1978 to present, the LSE has made remarkable contributions to the Chinese society as a result of fundamental social changes in China. This paper proposes that, in order to establish a good interaction between the LSE and the society in China, it is necessary to ensure the unity of self-independence and social dependence, instrument rationality and value rationality, dynamism and stability of the LSE.展开更多
