Objectives: This study was aimed to document the comparison of menopausal-related symptoms among educated and non educated women of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Methods: MRS was used to measure the intensity of menopausal symptoms. 100 educated and 100 uneducated women were selected for study purpose. Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Military Hospital and Combined Military Hospital were selected as a study setting. Findings: Correlation & Fisher exact test was applied for statistical analysis. The intensity of symptoms reported by Educated women as: sleeping problems (93.0%);heart discomfort (80.0%);hot flushes and sweating (70.0%);joint and muscular pain (52.0);depressive mood (63.0%);irritability (42%);anxiety (60.0%). physical and mental exhaustion;(48.0%);sexual problem (61.0%);dryness of vagina (57.0%);and bladder problem (65.0%). The severity of symptoms in uneducated women;sleeping problems (77.0%);heart discomfort (73.0%);hot flushes (69.0%);joint and muscular pain (66.0);depressive mood (71.0%);irritability (58%);anxiety (80.0%). physical and mental exhaustion (70.0%);sexual problem (66.0%);dryness of vagina (70.0%);and bladder problem (83.0%). Conclusions: Somatic symptoms were high in educated women as compare to uneducated women while the prevalence of psychological and Urogenital symptoms were high in uneducated women as compare to educated women.展开更多

Un- fortunately, most discourse within the profession about the term physically literate occurred primarily after its adoption. While we agree with the spirit and intent of the term, we feel it is essential to discuss not only what has been potentially gained but also lost. In our paper, we illustrate the similarity of the terms physically educated and physically literate and essentially, from a definitional perspective, find little difference--but are these terms interchangeable? We provide a critical review of the standards and conclude that the change to physical literacy has produced a shift away from psychomotor outcomes to cognitive outcomes. Our concerns about this are many, but most importantly they are about the need to emphasize the "physical" in physical education (PE). It is our belief that the key to elevating the profession and maintaining and increasing support for PE is in its ability to promote and provide physical activity. Without physical activity and physical fitness as main outcomes, PE increases its vulnerability to extinction as a standard part of the U.S. K-12 education curriculum.展开更多

The study applied both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The target respondents of the survey questionnaire in the study were instructors, graduates, students, administrative personnel of all higher education institutions. The findings reveal that, institutes of higher education in Eritrea are currently confronting low quality of education, shortage of senior national faculties, dependence on fixed government budget, lack of digitalized governance and weak technology infrastructure. The study concludes that, the higher education institutions after reform achieved commendable results in human resource development, narrowing gender inequality, linkage with domestic and external stakeholders in various areas of cooperation. Moreover, students’ admission rate and enrollment rate increased steadily, academic programs, departments, courses, research projects and consultancy services flourished and the advent of massification in general brought positive returns to Eritrea.展开更多

文摘Objectives This scoping review aimed to identify and summarize the current research on virtual reality(VR)technologies used for health education in cancer patients,as well as to identify key areas of application. Methods In accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews guidelines,a comprehensive literature search was performed across 11 electronic databases and gray literature sources from inception to 12 September 2025.Studies employing immersive VR tools to improve health education outcomes in cancer patients were included.Data extraction and thematic synthesis were conducted to map evidence regarding VR modalities, educational applications, and outcome measures. Results Twenty-eight studies met the inclusion criteria.VR was applied across four primary educational scenarios, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, and healthy behavior(including rehabilitation, smoking cessation, and self-management).Eight distinct VR modalities were identified, namely VR videos, virtual environments, virtual environment for radiotherapy training(VERT),VR interactions,3D models,VR games,VR non-player characters(VR NPCs),and virtual libraries.Among these,VR videos(50.0%),virtual environments(46.4%),and VR interactions(28.6%)were the most frequently employed. The interventions led to significant improvements in patient knowledge, skills, attitudes, health behaviors, and psychological well-being.A clear evolution in VR educational approaches has been observed, shifting from static environmental familiarization toward interactive, gamified, and intelligence-driven experiences.Nevertheless, notable gaps remain regarding safety protocols and data privacy protections, with only a minority of studies addressing these issues. Conclusions VR technologies demonstrate considerable promise as an innovative educational tool in oncology care, enhancing patient understanding, psychological preparedness, and engagement throughout the cancer journey.Future implementation must address infrastructural, ethical, and user-centered design barriers to facilitate the scalable and sustainable integration of this approach into clinical practice.

文摘Objectives:One of the most notable challenges in endoscopic procedures is maintaining correct orientation.Mental rotation exercise(MRE)has been suggested as a potential aid for improving orientation. However, there is a lack of research on designing MREs with varying difficultylevels for training purposes.Furthermore, few studies provide solid evidence linking MRE difficultylevels with cognitive load measurements. This study aims to address this gap by investigating the correlation between the MRE difficultylevels and participants’cognitive load,as measured by pupil dilation.Method:We recruited 33 participants to perform MREs on a computer equipped with a screen-mounted eye-tracker.The test consisted of 15 MREs,with the first10 relatively easy(traditional cube)and the next 5 more complex(invented molecule). The participants’eye movements during MREs were recorded. The participants’MRE scores and pupil dilation were obtained and compared between two MRE difficultylevels. Results:The participants who performed traditional cube MREs achieved significantlybetter MRE scores(0.77±0.11 vs.0.58±0.03,p<0.001)and lower pupil dilation(0.27±0.04 pixels vs.0.47±0.09 pixels,p<0.001)than did those who performed the invented molecule MREs.Moreover, there were significant negative correlations(r=0.62,p=0.015)between pupil dilation and MRE scores. Conclusions:The results revealed a significantnegative correlation between MRE scores and pupil dilation. The more challenging MRE questions led to worse MRE scores but increased pupil dilation. The MRE difficultylevels can be evaluated not only by the degrees or dimensions with which the objects were rotated but also by the participants’MRE scores and pupil dilation. The results of this study provide a basis for training orientation skills in endoscopy using MREs.By incorporating MREs with varying difficultylevels, customized training programs can be developed to enhance camera navigation in endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures.
