The results indicate that the silt has the highest content of 52% in average, followed by sand of 34%. Clay is enriched in the central plateau subregion with the average content of 14%. They are distributed with the strap-shape from east to west, which is consistent with the distribution pattern of minerals there. The coastal shallow-water slope in the north of the study area is characterized by the enrichment of coarser deposition, indicating strong hydrodynamic conditions and nearby source. With water depth increasing southward, silt and clay fraction, mainly enriched on a subaquatic platform with better sorting, are considered to be transported far away. To the further south of the study area with the deepest water off another subaquatic slop, coarse fraction is the highest, implying strong hydrodynamic conditions induced by tide currents which pass in and out the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea Warm Current that enters the Bohai Sea.展开更多

Timely and accurate extraction of ISA from remotely sensed data at the regional scale is challenging. This study explored the ISA extraction based on MODIS and DMSP-OLS data and the incorporation of China's land use/cover data. ISA datasets in Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Metropolitan Area (BTTMA) in 2000 and 2008 at a spatial resolution of 250 m were developed, their spatiotemporal changes were analyzed, and their impacts on water quality were then evaluated. The results indicated that ISA in BTTMA increased rapidly along urban fringe, transportation corridors and coastal belt both in intensity and extents from 2000 to 2008. Three cities (Tangshan, Langfang and Qinhuangdao) in Hebei Province had higher ISA growth rates than Beijing due to the pressure of population-resour- ces-environments in the city resulting in increasingly transferring industries to the nearby areas. The dense ISA distribution in BTTMA has serious impacts on water quality in the Haihe River watershed. Meanwhile, the proportion of ISA in sub-watersheds has significantly linear relationships with the densities of river COD and NH3-N.展开更多

In this paper, a SAW resonator (size: 1107μm× 721 μm) based on the AlN/4H-SiC multilayer structure is designed and simulated. A MEMS-compatible fabrication process is employed to fabricate the resonator. The results show that highly c-axis-oriented AlN thin films deposited on the 4H-SiC substrate are obtained, with that the diffraction peak of AlN is 36.10° and the lowest full width at half maximum (FWHM) value is only 1.19°. The test results of the network analyzer are consistent with the simulation curve, which is very encouraging and indicates that our work is a significant attempt to solve the measurement problems mainly including high temperature stability of sensitive structures and the heat transmission of leads in harsh environments. It is essential to get the best performance of SAW resonator, optimize and characterize the behaviors in high temperatures in future research.展开更多

However, very few studies have systematically attempted to evaluate the characteristics of SAW sensors in a metal environment and rotating structures, both of which are common in machine tools. Simulation of the influence of the metal using CST software and a series of experiments with an SAW temperature sensor in real environments were designed to investigate the factors that affect transmission pertbrmance, including antenna angles, orientations, rotation speeds, and a metallic plate, along with the interrogator antenna-SAW sensor antenna separation distance. Our experimental measure- ments show that the sensor's optimal placement in manufacturing environments should take into account all these factors in order to maintain system measurement and data transmission capability. As the first attempt to systematically investigate the transmis- sion characteristics of the SAW sensor used in manufacturing environment, this study aims to guide users of SAW sensor appli- cations and encourage more research in the field of wireless passive SAW sensors in monitoring applications.展开更多

In this study, a confined space was designed to simulate wound conditions, with gelatin used to simulate wound tissue. The distinction between open and confined spaces was explored, and the effects of temperature, humidity, discharge power and the gap size within the confined space on the plasma characteristics were analyzed. It was found that temperature, humidity and discharge power are important factors that affect the concentration distribution of active components and the mode transition between ozone and nitrogen oxides. Compared to open space, the concentration of ozone in confined space was relatively lower, which facilitated the formation of nitrogen oxides. In open space, the discharge was dominated by ozone initially. As the temperature, humidity and discharge power increased, nitrogen oxides in the gas-phase products were gradually detected. In confined space, nitrogen oxides can be detected at an early stage and at much higher concentrations than ozone concentration. Furthermore, as the gap of the confined space decreased, the concentration of ozone was observed to decrease while that of nitrate increased, and the rate of this concentration change was further accelerated at higher temperature and higher power. It was shown that ozone concentration decreased from 0.11 to 0.03 μmol and the nitrate concentration increased from 20.5 to 24.5 μmol when the spacing in the confined space was reduced from 5 to 1 mm, the temperature of the external discharge was controlled at 40 ℃, and the discharge power was 12 W. In summary, this study reveals the formation and transformation mechanisms of active substances in air surface micro-discharge plasma within confined space, providing foundational data for its medical applications.展开更多

文摘The Zoige Basin, located in the eastern region of the Tibetan Plateau of China,is characterized by its climate sensitivity and complex surface environment. It is vital to understand the response of the surface processes to environmental changes in the Zoige Basin since the last deglaciation,as well as the response of environmental changes and surface processes on the Tibetan Plateau relate to global changes. In August 2020,a field investigation was conducted in the Zoige Basin.A complete set of stratigraphic profile from the high platform at the front of the glacial-diluvial fan in the Maqu reach of the western basin was selected as the research subject.Optically stimulated luminescence(OSL)dating samples and sedimentary samples were collected from key layers and brought back to the laboratory for experimental analysis, and the surface processes and environment changes since the last deglaciation in the Zoige Basin were investigated through particle size analysis and OSL dating. The results showed that during the last glacial period before 14.5 kyr,a substantial glacial-alluvial fan composed of sand and gravel layers was formed by flash flood processes triggered by glacial meltwater and heavy precipitation. In the Bølling-Allerød warm period of 14.5–11.7 kyr,a warm and humid climate prevailed, with the formation of silty bog environments in the shallow depressions at the glacial-alluvial fan's forefront and the development of gray-green bog soil deposits. However, during the Younger Dryas period,an abrupt climate deterioration occurred, with the upper section of the gray-green bog soil layer in the shallow depression to experience folding and deformation due to surface freeze-thaw actions.During the early Holocene period from 11.7 kyr to 8.5 kyr,the climate was relatively dry, resulting in prevalent aeolian sand activitities.Coarse silt accumulated in the shallow depression, and sedimentary facies alternating between aeolian sand and bog soil deposits developed owing to strong wind patterns on the plateau surface. In the warm and humid period from 8.5 kyr to 3.1 kyr, increased weathering and pedogenesis enhanced clay content in sediments, which developed into the paleosol. In the late Holocene, starting from 3.1 kyr,the climate became relatively dry once more, with aeolian sand activity prevalent. The coarse silt that accumulated during the late Holocene transformed into subalpine meadow black soil because of rising temperature and humidity levels. These findings indicated that the developmental process of the high platform in the Maqu reach of the Zoige Basin, which was significant for understanding the environmental changes and surface processes in the source region of the Yellow River since the last deglaciation.

文摘The atmospheric corrosion behavior of 510L low alloy steel subjected to acid-cleaned surface(ACS)and eco-pickled surface(EPS)treatments is systematically examined. After 1 year of atmospheric exposure, both ACS-and EPS-treated samples demonstrate protective ability index values exceeding 2,indicating robust protective properties of the developed rust layers. The corrosion rates of ACS-and EPS-treated samples are similar.During the initial corrosion stage,γ-FeOOH emerges as the dominant corrosion product. With the prolonged atmospheric exposure,γ-FeOOH content progressively decreases through phase transformation into thermodynamically stableα-FeOOH and densely structured Fe_(3)O_(4),which markedly suppresses the corrosion of the steel.Notably, the corrosion rate of the coated EPS sample is obviously lower than that of the coated ACS counterpart, which is ascribed to the distinctive micro-roughness of EPS-treated surfaces that promote mechanical interlocking with protective coatings.
文摘Based on grain size analysis for the offshore surface sediments of the Dalian Bay, the assemblages and distribution characteristics of grain size were acquired, and their sources and sedimentary environments as well as the dominant factors were also discussed preliminarily. To the further south of the study area with the deepest water off another subaquatic slop, coarse fraction is the highest, implying strong hydrodynamic conditions induced by tide currents which pass in and out the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea Warm Current that enters the Bohai Sea.

文摘The impervious surface area (ISA) at the regional scale is one of the important environmental factors for examining the interaction and mechanism of Land Use/Cover Change (LUCC)-ecosystem processes-climate change under the interactions of urbanization and global environmental change. Meanwhile, the proportion of ISA in sub-watersheds has significantly linear relationships with the densities of river COD and NH3-N.

文摘In recent decades, path planning for unmanned surface vehicles(USVs)in complex environments, such as harbours and coastlines, has become an important concern. The existing algorithms for real-time path planning for USVs are either too slow at replanning or unreliable in changing environments with multiple dynamic obstacles. In this study,we developed a novel path planning method based on the D^(*) lite algorithm for real-time path planning of USVs in complex environments. The proposed method has the following advantages:(1)the computational time for replanning is reduced significantly owing to the use of an incremental algorithm and a new method for modelling dynamic obstacles;(2)a constrained artificial potential field method is employed to enhance the safety of the planned paths;and(3)the method is practical in terms of vehicle performance. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated through simulations and compared with those of existing algorithms. The simulation results confirmed the efficiency of the method for real-time path planning of USVs in complex environments.

文摘To illuminate the spatio-temporal variation characteristics and geochemical driving mechanism of soil pH in the Nenjiang River Basin, the National Multi-objective Regional Geochemical Survey data of topsoil, the Second National Soil Survey data and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)were analyzed. The areas of neutral and alkaline soil decreased by 21100 km^(2)and 30500 km^(2),respectively,while that of strongly alkaline, extremely alkaline, and strongly acidic soil increased by 19600 km^(2),18200 km^(2),and 15500 km^(2),respectively,during the past 30 years.NDVI decreased with the increase of soil pH when soil pH>8.0,and it was reversed when soil pH<5.0.There were significant differences in soil pH with various surface cover types, which showed an ascending order:Arbor<reed<maize<rice<high and medium-covered meadow<low-covered meadow<Puccinellia. The weathering products of minerals rich in K_(2)O,Na_(2)O,CaO,and MgO entered into the low plain and were enriched in different parts by water transportation and lake deposition, while Fe and Al remained in the low hilly areas, which was the geochemical driving mechanism. The results of this study will provide scientific basis for making scientific and rational decisions on soil acidification and salinization.

文摘Fundamental research and practical applications have examined the manipulation of gas bubbles on open surfaces in lowsurface-tension,high-pressure,and high-acidity,-alkalinity,or-salinity environments. However,to the best of our knowledge, effi cient and general approaches to achieve the smart manipulation of gas bubbles in these harsh environments are limited.Herein,a Fluorinert-infused shape-gradient slippery surface(FSSS)that could eff ectively regulate the behavior of gas bubbles in harsh environments was successfully fabricated. The unique capability of FSSS was mainly attributed to the properties of Fluorinert, which include chemical inertness and incompressibility. The shape-gradient morphology of FSSS could induce asymmetric driving forces to move gas bubbles directionally on open surfaces.Factors infl uencing gas bubble transport on FSSS,such as the apex angle of the slippery surface and the surface tension of the aqueous environment, were carefully investigated, and large apex angles were found to result in large initial transport velocities and short transport distances.Lowering the surface tension of the aqueous environment is unfavorable to bubble transport.Nevertheless,FSSS could transport gas bubbles in aqueous environments with surface tensions as low as 28.5±0.1 mN/m,which is lower than that of many organic solvents(e.g.,formamide,ethylene glycol, and dimethylformamide). In addition,FSSS could also realize the facile manipulation of gas bubbles in various aqueous environments,e.g.,high pressure(~6.8 atm),high acidity(1 mol/L H 2 SO 4),high alkalinity(1 mol/L NaOH),and high salinity(1 mol/L NaCl).The current fi ndings provide a source of knowledge and inspiration for studies on bubble-related interfacial phenomena and contribute to scientifi c and technological developments for controllable bubble manipulation in harsh environments.

文摘The surface watershed and groundwater basin have fixed recharge scale, which are not only the basic unit for hydrologic cycle research but also control the water resources formation and evolution and its corresponding eco-geological environment pattern. To accurately identify the boundary of the surface watershed and groundwater basin is the basis for properly understanding hydrologic cycle and conducting the water balance analysis at watershed scale in complicated geologic structure area, especially when the boundary are inconsistent. In this study, the Dalinuoer Lake located in the middle of the Inner Mongolian Plateau which has complicated geologic structure was selected as the representative case.Based on the multidisciplinary comprehensive analysis of topography, tectonics, hydrogeology, groundwater dynamics and stable isotopes, the results suggest the following:(1)The surface watershed ridge and groundwater basin divide of Dalinuoer Lake are inconsistent. The surface watershed was divided into two separate groundwater systems almost having no groundwater exchange by the SW-NE Haoluku Anticlinorium Fault which has obvious water-blocking effect. The surface drainage area of Dalinuoer Lake is 6139 km^(2).The northern regional A is the Dalinuoer Lake groundwater system with an area of 4838 km^(2),and the southern regional B is the Xilamulun Riverhead groundwater system with an area of 1301 km^(2).(2)The groundwater in the southern of regional A and the spring-feeding river are the important recharge sources for the Dalinuoer Lake, and it has greater recharge effects than the northern Gonggeer River system.(3)It is speculated that the trend of Haoluku Anticlinorium Fault is the boundary of the westerlies and the East Asian summer Monsoon(EASM)climate systems, which further pinpoints the predecessor’s understanding of this boundary line.At present, the Dalinuoer Lake watershed is proved to have gone through a prominent warming-drying trend periods, which leads to the precipitation reduction, temperature rise, human activities water usage increasement. So the hydrological cycle and lake eco-environment at watershed scale will still bound to be change, which may pose the potential deterioration risk on the suitability of fish habitat. The results can provide basic support for better understanding water balance evolution and lake area shrinkage cause as well as the ecological protection and restoration implementation of Dalinuoer Lake watershed.

文摘The Dunhuang–Golmud railway passes through different deserts in arid areas, especially drifting-sand desert and sandy-gravel Gobi. The near-surface wind environment and wind-sand transport process vary due to different external factors, such as topography, vegetation, and regional climate, resulting in evident spatial differences in surface erosion and deposition.Consequently, the measures for preventing wind-sand hazards will differ. However, the mechanism and control theory of sand damage remain poorly understood. In this study,we used meteorological observation,three-dimensional(3D)laser scanning, and grain-size analysis to compare and evaluate the spatial distribution of wind conditions, sand erosion and deposition patterns, and grain composition in the drifting-sand desert and sandy-gravel Gobi along the Dunhuang–Golmud railway in China. Results show that the annual mean wind speed, the frequency of sand-driving wind, and the drift potential of sandy-gravel Gobi are higher than those of drifting-sand desert, indicating a greater wind strength in the sandy-gravel Gobi, which exhibits spatial heterogeneity in wind conditions. The major sediment components in sandy-gravel Gobi are very fine sand, fine sand, and medium sand, and that in drifting-sand desert are very fine sand and fine sand.We found that the sediment in the sandy-gravel Gobi is coarser than that in the drifting-sand desert based on mean grain size and sediment component. The spatial distributions of sand erosion and deposition in the sandy-gravel Gobi and drifting-sand desert are consistent, with sand deposition mainly on the west side of the railway and sand erosion on the east side of the railway. The area of sand deposition in the drifting-sand desert accounts for 75.83%of the total area, with a mean deposition thickness of 0.032 m;while the area of sand deposition in the sandy-gravel Gobi accounts for 65.31%of the total area, with a mean deposition thickness of 0.028 m,indicating greater deposition amounts in the drifting-sand desert due to the presence of more fine sediment components. However, the sand deposition is more concentrated with a greater thickness on the embankment and track in the sandy-gravel Gobi and is dispersed with a uniform thickness in the drifting-sand desert. The sand deposition on the track of the sandy-gravel Gobi mainly comes from the east side of the railway. The results of this study are helpful in developing the preventive measures and determining appropriate selection and layout measures for sand control.

文摘Community park is one of the most important landscape spaces for urban people to live outdoors, and people’s perception of environmental microclimate is a direct factor affecting the use frequency and experience of community parks. In this paper,Shijingshan Sculpture Park of Beijing was taken as experimental object.Using the method of fi eld measurement,9-d winter test for 3 months was conducted in three kinds of landscape architecture spaces, including waterfront plaza, open green space and square under the forest.Via regression analysis method, the measured air temperature(Ta),relative humidity of air(RH),particulate matter(PM2.5)were analyzed. It is found that winter sunshine is main infl uence factor of garden microclimate, and there is a negative correlation between local temperature and humidity;local temperature and humidity can regulate the local PM2.5 concentration, and temperature shows negative correlation with PM2.5 concentration, while humidity shows positive correlation with PM2.5 concentration.Meanwhile, via comparative analysis of temperature, humidity and PM2.5 concentration in different types of garden spaces, the infl uence of different space forms, planting forms and materials on thermal environment of underlying surface and PM2.5 concentration was summarized, and design strategy was optimized,to be as benefi cial reference of reconstruction design of community parks.

文摘Surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors and micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) technology provide a promising solution for measurement in harsh environments such as gas turbines. It is essential to get the best performance of SAW resonator, optimize and characterize the behaviors in high temperatures in future research.

文摘A combined Ag nanoparticle with an insulating or conductive layer structure has been designed tor molecular detection using surface enhanced Raman scattering microscopy. Optical absorption studies revealed localized surface plasmon resonance, which shows regular red shift with increasing environmental dielectric constant. With the combined structure of surface enhanced Raman scattering substrates and rhodamine 6C as a test molecule, the results in this paper show that the absorption has a linear relationship with the local electromagnetic field for insulating substrates, and the electrical property of the substrate has a non-negligible effect on the intensity of the local electromagnetic field and hence the Raman enhancement.

文摘The southern margin of the Gurbantunggut Desert,China,is characterized by alternating layers of aeolian and alluvial deposits.Investigating the characteristics of arenaceous sediment in this area is of significant importance for understanding the interactive processes of wind and water forces,as well as the provenance of sediment. However, there are relatively few investigations on the characteristics of such sediment at present. In this study,we researched three aeolian-alluvial interactive stratigraphic profiles and different types of surface sediment on the desert-oasis transitional zone of southern margin of the Gurbantunggut Desert.Based on the optically stimulated luminescence(OSL)dating of aeolian sand and analyses of quartz sand grain size and surface micro-texture,we explored the aeolian-alluvial environmental change at southern margin of the desert in Holocene,as well as the provenance of sediment. The results indicated that the grain size characteristics of different types of sediment in the stratigraphic profiles were similar to those of modern dune sand, interdune sand, muddy desert surface soil, and riverbed sand.Their frequency curves were unimodal or bimodal, and cumulative probability curves were two-segment or three-segment,mainly composed of suspension load and saltation load. The quartz sand in the sediment at southern margin of the desert had undergone alternating transformation of various exogenic forces, with short transportation distance and time, and sedimentary environment was relatively humid. In Holocene, southern margin of the desert primarily featured braided river deposits, and during intermittent period of river activity, there were also aeolian deposits such as sand sheet deposits, stabilized dune deposits, and mobile dune deposits. The provenance for Holocene alluvial deposits at southern margin of the desert remains relatively constant, with the debris of the Tianshan Mountains being the primary provenance.Aeolian sand is mainly near-source recharge, which is formed by in situ deposition of fluvial or lacustrine materials in southern margin of the desert transported by wind erosion, and its provenance was still the weathered debris of the Tianshan Mountains. In addition, the sand in interior of the desert may be transported by northwest wind in desert-scale,thus affecting the development of dunes in southern margin of the desert. The results of this study provide a reference for understanding the composition and provenance changes of desert sand in the context of global climate change.

文摘Surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors show great promise in monitoring fast-rotating or moving machinery in manufacturing environments, and have several advantages in the measurement of temperature, torque, pressure, and strain because of their passive and wireless capability. As the first attempt to systematically investigate the transmis- sion characteristics of the SAW sensor used in manufacturing environment, this study aims to guide users of SAW sensor appli- cations and encourage more research in the field of wireless passive SAW sensors in monitoring applications.

文摘Flexible surface micro-discharge plasma is a non-thermal plasma technique used for treating wounds in a painless way, with significant efficacy for chronic or hard-to-heal wounds. In summary, this study reveals the formation and transformation mechanisms of active substances in air surface micro-discharge plasma within confined space, providing foundational data for its medical applications.

文摘Given that Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China possesses exceptionally abundant solar radiation resources that can be harnessed to develop clean energy, accurately characterizing their spatiotemporal distribution is crucial. This study investigated the applicability of the Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System(CERES)Single Scanner Footprint TOA/Surface Fluxes and Clouds(SSF)product downward surface shortwave radiation dataset(DSSRCER)under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang.By integrating multi-source data and utilizing techniques like multivariate fitting and model simulation,we established a two-layer aerosol model and developed a clear-sky downward surface shortwave radiation(DSSR)retrieval model specific to Xinjiang using the Santa Barbara Discrete Atmospheric Radiative Transfer(SBDART)model. We further explored the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of DSSR under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang from 2017 to 2019 based on the localized DSSR retrieval model. Our findings revealed a significant discrepancy in DSSRCER under clear-sky conditions at the Xiaotang station in Xinjiang.By comparing, screening, and correcting core input parameters while incorporating the two-layer aerosol model,we achieved a more accurate SBDART simulated DSSR(DSSRSBD)compared to DSSRCER.The annual mean DSSR exhibited a distinct distribution pattern with high values in mountainous regions such as the Altay Mountains,Kunlun Mountains, and Tianshan Mountains and significantly lower values in adjacent lowland areas, including the Tarim River Basin and Junggar Basin. In the four typical administrative regions in northern Xinjiang, the annual mean DSSR(ranging from 551.60 to 586.09 W/m^(2))was lower than that in the five typical administrative regions in southern Xinjiang(ranging from 522.10 to 623.62 W/m^(2)).These spatial variations stem from a complex interplay of factors, including latitude, altitude, solar altitude angle, and sunshine duration. The variations in seasonal average DSSR aligned closely with variations in the solar altitude angle, with summer(774.76 W/m^(2))exhibiting the highest values, followed by spring(684.86 W/m^(2)),autumn(544.76 W/m^(2)),and winter(422.74 W/m^(2)).The monthly average DSSR showed a unimodal distribution, peaking in June(792.94 W/m^(2))and reaching its lowest level in December(363.06 W/m^(2)).Overall,our study findings enhance the current understanding of the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of DSSR in Xinjiang and provide certain references for the management of clean energy development in this region.
