The beam is composed of a substrate and two piezoelectric layers and assumed as an Euler-Bernoulli model with inextensible deformation. A nonlinear distributed parameter model of cantilevered piezoelectric energy harvesters is proposed using the generalized Hamilton's principle. The proposed model includes geometric and inertia nonlinearity, but neglects the material nonlinearity. Using the Galerkin decomposition method and harmonic balance method, analytical expressions of the frequency-response curves are presented when the first bending mode of the beam plays a dominant role. However, the manufacturing errors are unavoidable, and the pursuit to enhance the manufacturing accuracy will increase the cost greatly. In order to provide some theoretical guideline for the tolerance choice in the design of the externally pressurized spherical air bearings with inherent compensation, the effects of several manufacturing errors on the static characteristics of the air bearing are studied. Due to the complex geometry of the computational domain, an unstructured meshing technology is used for mesh generation. The parametric excitation is caused by the harmonic fluctuations of the axial moving speed. An integro-partial-differential equation governing the transverse vibration of the Timoshenko beam is established. Many factors are considered, such as viscoelasticity, the finite axial support rigidity, and the longitudinally varying tension due to the axial acceleration. With the Galerkin truncation method, a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations are derived by discretizing the governing equation. Based on the numerical solutions, the bifurcation diagrams are presented to study the effect of the external transverse excitation. Moreover, the frequencies of the two excitations are assumed to be multiple. Further, five different tools, including the time history, the Poincaré map, and the sensitivity to initial conditions, are used to identify the motion form of the nonlinear vibration. Numerical results also show the characteristics of the quasiperiodic motion of the translating Timoshenko beam under an incommensurable re- lationship between the dual-frequency excitations.展开更多

This cyclic phenomenon, also known as the "thermal damping effect" will continue throughout the year reducing the effect of surface air temperature variation. The objective of this paper is to quantify the thermal damping effect in vertical underground airways. A nonlinear autoregressive time series with external input(NARX) algorithm was used as a novel method to predict the dry-bulb temperature(Td) at the bottom of intake shafts as a function of surface air temperature. Analyses demonstrated that the artificial neural network(ANN) model could accurately predict the temperature at the bottom of a shaft. Furthermore, an attempt was made to quantify typical "damping coefficient" for both production and ventilation shafts through simple linear regression models. Comparisons between the collected climatic data and the regression-based predictions show that a simple linear regression model provides an acceptable accuracy when predicting the Tdat the bottom of intake shafts.展开更多

However, the nonlinear characteristics of gear systems under combined internal and external excitations are scarcely investigated. An eight-degree-of-freedom(8-DOF) nonlinear spur gear-rotor-bearing model, which contains backlash, transmission error, eccentricity, gravity and input/output torque, is established, and the coupled lateral-torsional vibration characteristics are studied. Based on the equations of motion, the coupled spur gear-rotor-bearing system(SGRBS) is investigated using the Runge-Kutta numerical method, and the effects of rotational speed, error fluctuation and load fluctuation on the dynamic responses are explored. The results show that a diverse range of nonlinear dynamic characteristics such as periodic motion, quasi-periodic motion, chaotic behaviors and impacts exhibited in the system are strongly attributed to the interaction between internal and external excitations. Significantly, the changing rotational speed could effectively control the vibration of the system. Vibration level increases with the increasing error fluctuation. Whereas the load fluctuation has an influence on the nonlinear dynamic characteristics and the increasing excitation force amplitude makes the vibration amplitude increase, the chaotic motion may be restricted. The proposed model and numerical results can be used for diagnosis of faults and vibration control of practical SGRBS.展开更多

Methods Ultra high frequency(UHF) PD detection method by using internal sensors has been proved efficient, because it may avoid the disturbance of corona, but the sensor installation of this method will be limited by the structure and operation condition of GIS. There are some of electromagnetic (E-M) waves leak from the place of insulation spacer, therefore, the external sensors UHF measuring PD technique is applied, which isn't limited by the operation condition of GIS. Results This paper analyzes propagated electromagnetic (E-M) waves of partial discharge pulse excited by using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The signal collected at the outer point is more complex than that of the inner point, and the signals' amplitude of outer is about half of the inner, because it propagates through spacer and insulation slot. Set up UHF PD measuring system. The typical PD in 252kV GIS bus bar was measured using PD detection UHF technique with external sensors. Finally, compare the results of UHF measuring technique using external sensors with the results of FDTD method simulation and the traditional IEC60270 method detection. Conclusion The results of experiment shows that the UHF technique can realize the diagnosis of insulation condition, the results of FDTD method simulation and the result UHF method detection can demonstrate each other, which gives references to further researches and application for UHF PD measuring technique.展开更多

Bone destruction of the vertical section of facial nerve canal was discovered in one case in the stage Ⅲ group. Conclusion: HRCT can provide detail information about the extent of external ear canal cholesteatoma. Such information can be used to identify special situations with serious complications and to differentiate external ear canal cholesteatoma from middle ear cholesteatoma.

文摘This investigation focuses on the nonlinear dynamic behaviors in the trans- verse vibration of an axiMly accelerating viscoelastic Timoshenko beam with the external harmonic excitation. Numerical results also show the characteristics of the quasiperiodic motion of the translating Timoshenko beam under an incommensurable re- lationship between the dual-frequency excitations.

文摘As air descends the intake shaft, its infrastructure, lining and the strata will emit heat during the night when the intake air is cool and, on the contrary, will absorb heat during the day when the temperature of the air becomes greater than that of the strata. Comparisons between the collected climatic data and the regression-based predictions show that a simple linear regression model provides an acceptable accuracy when predicting the Tdat the bottom of intake shafts.

文摘External short circuit(ESC)of lithium-ion batteries is one of the common and severe electrical failures in electric vehicles. In this study,a novel thermal modelis developed to capture the temperature behavior of batteries under ESC conditions.Experiments were systematically performed under different battery initial state of charge and ambient temperatures.Based on the experimental results,we employed an extreme learming machine(ELM)-based thermal(ELMT)model to depict battery temperature behavior under ESC,where a lumped-state thermal model was used to replace the activation function of conventional ELMs.To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model, wecompared the ELMT model with a multi-lumped-state thermal(MLT)model parameterized by thegenetic algorithm using the experimental data from various sets of battery cells. It is shown that the ELMT model can achieve higher computa-tional efficiency than the MLT model and better fitting and prediction accuracy, where the average root mean squared error(RMSE)of the fitting is 0.65℃ for the ELMT model and 3.95℃ for the MLT model, and the RMES of the prediction under new data set is 3.97℃ for the ELMT model and 6.11℃ for the MLT model.

文摘Extensive studies on nonlinear dynamics of gear systems with internal excitation or external excitation respectively have been carried out. The proposed model and numerical results can be used for diagnosis of faults and vibration control of practical SGRBS.
文摘BACKGROUND We report a rare case of first branchial cleft anomaly(FBCA)accompanied by bony atresia of the external auditory canal, middle ear malformation, and location malformation of the facial nerve according to the intraoperative findings.CASE SUMMARY A 19-year-old male patient presented to our department with a mass behind the right earlobe and recurrent postauricular swelling and pain since childhood,he also had severe hearing loss in the right ear since birth. The patient underwent surgery including mass removal, mastoidectomy, and simultaneous meatoplasty and ossiculoplasty under microscopy. No facial palsy or recurrence was noted during postoperative follow-up.CONCLUSION FBCAs are rare, and to our knowledge, this is the first report of FBCA accompanied by external auditory canal bony atresia, middle ear malformation, and location malformation of the facial nerve. An effective postauricular approach under microscopy facilitated complete lesion removal and simultaneous otologic reconstruction.
文摘Objective In order to find early latent faults and prevent catastrophic failures, diagnosis of insulation condition by measuring technique of partial discharge(PD) in gas insulated switchgear (GIS) is applied in this paper, which is one of the most basic ways for diagnosis of insulation condition. Conclusion The results of experiment shows that the UHF technique can realize the diagnosis of insulation condition, the results of FDTD method simulation and the result UHF method detection can demonstrate each other, which gives references to further researches and application for UHF PD measuring technique.

文摘Sheet-bulk metal forming(SBMF)is a promising process for manufacturing complex sheet components with functional elements. In this study, the entire forming process for a typical thin-walled component with external gearing is investigated, including sheet forming and bulk forming processes.Deep drawn cups are prepared during sheet forming;subsequently, upsetting is performed on the sidewall to form external gearing. The upsetting method performed is known as upsetting with a controllable deformation zone(U-CDZ).Compared with the conventional upsetting method,a floating counter punch with a counter force is used in the U-CDZ method such that the forming mechanism is changed into the accumulation of the deformation zone instead of deformation throughout the entire sidewall. The effects of the counter force and material flow are investigated to understand the mechanism. The forming quality,i.e.,the formfilling and effective strain distribution, improved, whereas a high forming load is avoided. In addition,a punch with a lock bead is used to prevent folding at the inner corner during the experiment.
