Mutual eclipse is another kind of mutual occultation as viewed from the center of the Sun instead of the Earth. Two mutual eclipses of J2 Europa by J1 Io (2009 Aug. 28 and Sept. 12) were observed at Yunnan Observatory during the PHEMU09 international campaign. We will calculate the astrometric data of these Galilean satellites by analyzing and fitting the light curves we obtained. The limb-darkening was considered during modeling the light intensity of eclipsed satellites in the penumbra zone, by taking the Lommel-Seeliger scattering law into account. Several dynamical quantifies, such as the relative coordinates of the eclipsing satellite from the eclipsed one △α cos δ and △δ, impact parameter and mid-time corresponding to the impact parameter and the deviations O - C of observed △α cos d and △δ relative to ephemerides, were obtained for each event respectively. 展开更多

Knowing the conserved quantities that a galaxy’s stellar orbits conform to is important in helping us understand the stellar distribution and structures within the galaxy.Isolating integrals of motion and resonances are particularly important,non-isolating integrals less so.We compare the behavior and results of two methods for counting the number of conserved quantities, one based on the correlation integral approach and the other a more recent method using machine learning. Both methods use stellar orbit trajectories in phase space as their only input, and we create such trajectories from theoretical spherical, axisymmetric, and triaxial model galaxies. The orbits have known isolating integrals and resonances. We find that neither method is fully effective in recovering the numbers of these quantities, nor in determining the number of non-isolating integrals. From a computer performance perspective,we find the correlation integral approach to be the faster.Determining the algebraic formulae of(multiple)conserved quantities from the trajectories has not been possible due to the lack of an appropriate symbolic regression capability.Notwithstanding the shortcomings we have noted,it may be that the methods are usable as part of a trajectory analysis tool kit. 展开更多

We report the discovery of four new open clusters(named QC 1,QC 2,QC 3 and QC 4)in the direction of Cygnus Cloud and select their members based on five astrometric parameters(l,b,ω,μα*,μδ)of Gaia DR2.We also derive their astrophysical parameters for each new cluster.Structure parameters are generated by fitting the radial density distribution with a King’s profile.Using solar metallicity,we performed isochrone-fitting on their purified color-magnitude diagrams(CMDs)to derive the age of the clusters. The known cluster NGC 7062 in an adjacent area is chosen to verify our identification process. The estimated distance, reddening and age of NGC 7062 are in good agreement with the literature. 展开更多
