Characteristic analysis of anode panel for a ZnO nanowire cold cathode flat‑panel X‑ray source using Monte Carlo simulations

Flat-panel X-ray sources(FPXSs)have many advantages in terms of compactness and low-dose imaging,enhancing their capability for novel X-ray applications.Experimental analysis of the X-ray characteristics and optimizing the anode panel of an FPXS are time-consuming,expensive,and sometimes impractical.In this study,a FPXS was prepared using a ZnO nanowire cold cathode and a molybdenum film anode target.Monte Carlo(MC)simulations were utilized to optimize the anode panel and obtain the average fluence,average energy,and spatial distribution of the X-rays for the ZnO nanowire FPXS.The accuracy of the MC simulations was verified by comparing the measured and simulated energy spectra.Optimization of the anode target considers the material,thickness,and morphology,whereas optimization of the substrate focuses on the material and thickness.The results show that the difference between the positions of the K-shell peaks in the measured and simulated energy spectra is within 0.26 keV.At the acceleration voltages of 30 kV,60 kV,and 90 kV,the optimal thicknesses of the tungsten array anode were 0.65μm,2.45μm,and 5μm,respectively,while the molybdenum array anode has the optimal thicknesses of 1.45μm,5.25μm,and 24μm,respectively.The microsemi-ellipsoidal anode with a recessed design showed a 5%increase in the transmitted X-ray fluence compared with the film target.The sapphire substrate with a thickness of 0.78 mm exhibits a mechanical strength comparable to that of a glass substrate with a thickness of 3 mm,implying that the former can increase the average X-ray fluence by reducing the filtration of X-rays.The findings of this study provide valuable guidance for the fabrication and optimization of the ZnO nanowire FPXS. 展开更多

It is a donor material supplying a low temperature and causing stronger cooling effect, that is, the canopy temperature of its progeny can be descended universally and some non-cold type acceptor wheat can turn into cold type wheat having good metabolic functions under the condition of that acceptor wheat accepts the gamete of donor wheat supplying a low temperature. Contrast between wheat cold source and general wheat having no the ability of supplying a low temperature shows that second heat source temperature and plant temperature of wheat cold source not only are lower than those of general wheat but its root vigor, rate of awn etiolation, functional duration of leaf, chlorophyll content, soluble protein content, SOD activity, net photosynthetic rate, etc, are also more excellent than those of general wheat, and these all provide certain ecological and physiological bases for the distinction and selection of wheat cold source. 展开更多

With the increase of mining depth, more and deeper coal mines are limited by heat disaster. The cooling energy in deep mine cooling system comes from mine water inrush or ground cooling tower, but we cannot adopt the two methods because mine water inrush in many old coal mines in China is limited. What is more, the cooling pipelines cannot be put in narrow pit-shaft. To settle the problem above, according to the characteristics of Zhangxiaolou Coal Mine, this paper adopts the deep mine return air as the cooling energy for deep mine cooling system. In addition, we carried out cite test to extract cold energy from return air. Through monitoring the water quantity, water temperature of cooling system and air temperature, we got the thermodynamic equilibrium parameters during the cooling energy acquisition analysis and the effect of cooling system that the temperature and humidity on working face are respectively reduced to 8-12 ℃ and 8-15% through cooling. This research offers experimental reference for deep mine cooling which lacks cooling energy. 展开更多

With the increase of mining depth, the temperature of the original rock in deep mines increases. High temperature heat hazards at working surfaces and driving faces are becoming increasingly more serious. Given the problem of mine cooling technologies at China and abroad and the actual conditions of a coal mine, we developed HEMS (High Temperature Exchange Machinery System) with inrushing mine water as the source of cold energy. Combined with the characteristics of a shortage of inrushing water in the coal mine, we proposed the Sanhejian model of HEMS with its lack of a cold source. The cooling engineer- ing construction, given the present conditions in the Sanhejian Coal Mine, consisted of two phases. In phase 1 horizontal water circulation was used as cold energy, while phase II was the geothermal utiliza- tion project. For the key equipment of HEMS-PT or HEMS-T, we provided the operational principle from theory and an actual application. Finally, we analyzed the operational effect of HEMS. After cooling, the temperature at the working face was below 30 ~C, which meets the national regulations. This system opens up new technology to solve the problem of deep mine heat hazards, which makes good sense in energy conservation and pollution reduction, improves the environment and realizes sustainable eco- nomic development. 展开更多

Using correlation analyses, composite analyses, and singular value decomposition, the relationship between the atmospheric cold source over the eastern Tibetan Plateau and atmospheric/ocean circulation is discussed. In winter, the anomaly of the strong (weak) atmospheric cold source over the eastern plateau causes low-level anomalous north (south) winds to appear in eastern China and low-level anomaly zonal west (east) winds to prevail in the equatorial Pacific from spring to autumn. This contributes to the anomalous warm (cold) sea surface temperature the following autumn and winter. In addition, the anomalous variation of sea surface temperature over the equatorial middle and eastern Pacific in winter can influence the snow depth and intensity of the cold source over the plateau in the following winter due to variation of the summer west Pacific subtropical high. 展开更多

In this paper, design and construction of a modified cold molybdenum cathode Penning ion source was described. It consists of copper cylindrical anode with two cone ends and two movable cold molybdenum cathodes. The two cathodes were placed symmetrically at two ends of the anode. The modifications were decrease the length of the cylindrical anode to 4 cm instead of 6 cm, transform the copper emission electrode shape from plate of 40 mm length, 25 mm width and 2 mm thickness to disc of 20 mm diameter and 2 mm thickness and transform the inner uncovered area of the emission electrode from slit of 30 mm length and 10 mm width to disc of 5 mm diameter. The copper emission electrode was placed in the middle of the cylindrical anode and has aperture in the center of different diameters. Faraday cup was placed at different distances from the emission electrode aperture. The electrical discharge and the output ion beam characteristics of the modified ion source were measured at different pressures using argon gas. It was found that the optimum operating conditions of the modified ion source are; anode-cathode distance equal to 6 mm, emission electrode aperture diameter equal to 2.5 mm and emission electrode aperture, Faraday cup distance equals 3 cm. The effect of axial samarium cobalt permanent magnet of intensity equal to 300 Gauss on the discharge characteristics of the ion source was determined. 展开更多

A partition solution implemented by a cold air curtain for two asymmetric discrete heat sources in a twodimensional rectangular enclosure was numerically studied. Main attentions were focused on the effects of Reynolds number, Grashof number, separation distance between heat sources, and buoyancy ratio. It is found that the airflow and heat transfer are not only determined by governing parameters, but also affected by boundary conditions. It is also found that nearly symmetry of flow structure corresponds to nearly thermal partition, and the symmetry can be enhanced when Reynolds number, separation distance and buoyancy ratio increase. In addition, it is observed that there is a minimum Reynolds number for obtaining nearly thermal partition, which increases when Grashof number increases. 展开更多

Regarding the lack of cold source for underground cooling systems from either mine inflow or return air, field experiments were taken in a high temperature deep coal mine with abundant cold source from surface water. Taking Sanhejian coal mine as an example, this paper introduced the technology scheme of heat disaster governance using surface water cold source. The paper presents the basics of this field experiment at the beginning, following by the design and site layout of the cooling system including the analysis and calculation of cold source. Numerical calculation method is also applied based on the operation parameters to simulate the influence to the surface river ecosystem. The results suggest that the temperature of surface water shall be lower than 34 ℃ after heat exchange, and when more cooling capacities are needed in the future, increasing the water flow is more favorable than increasing the cooling range of water, which is better for the ecological environment protection, 展开更多

Grey relation analysis (GRA) is a data processing method to categorize the correlation extent of compared sequences and a certain reference sequence in a system with uncertain information. It is applied to evaluating and selecting AC cold/heat sources from four main aspects, which are technology, economy, reliability, and operation and management. Case study shows that the result for selecting AC cold/heat sources with the GRA method can be more reasonable and convincible. Thus it offers a new approach for designers in heating, ventilating and air conditioning field to compare and evaluate different AC cold/heat sou rces. 展开更多

Dipole Research EXperiment(DREX) is a new terrella device as part of the Space Plasma Environment Research Facility(SPERF) for laboratory studies of space physics relevant to the inner magnetospheric plasmas. Adequate plasma sources are very important for DREX to achieve its scientific goals. According to different research requirements, there are two density regimes for DREX. The low density regime will be achieved by an electron cyclotron resonance(ECR) system for the ‘whistler/chorus' wave investigation, while the high density regime will be achieved by biased cold cathode discharge for the desired ‘Alfvén' wave study. The parameters of ‘whistler/chorus' waves and ‘Alfvén' waves are determined by the scaling law between space and laboratory plasmas in the current device. In this paper, the initial design of these two plasma sources for DREX is described. Focus is placed on the chosen frequency and operation mode of the ECR system which will produce relatively low density ‘artificial radiation belt' plasmas and the seed electrons, followed by the design of biased cold cathode discharge to generate plasma with high density. 展开更多

基于多目标优化的多能互补供热系统研究

为研究多能互补供热系统在寒冷地区不同地域的适用性,文章以西北地区某农村典型单体式住宅建筑为研究对象,利用TRNSYS设计了太阳能-地源热泵供热系统。以太阳能集热器供生活热水保证率大于90%为约束条件,建立以系统经济效益、环境影响... 为研究多能互补供热系统在寒冷地区不同地域的适用性,文章以西北地区某农村典型单体式住宅建筑为研究对象,利用TRNSYS设计了太阳能-地源热泵供热系统。以太阳能集热器供生活热水保证率大于90%为约束条件,建立以系统经济效益、环境影响和节能效果为评价指标的多目标优化函数,采用Hooke-Jeeves优化算法得到了系统的最佳配置参数。对比分析了所构建供热系统对寒冷地区5个代表性城市供热的有效性。结果表明,与系统优化前相比,太阳能集热器供应生活热水保证率提高了30.03%、供热系统COP_(sys)值提高了14.55%,动态费用年值降低了14.30%,年总费用节省率提高了27.42%,动态投资回收期减少了4.8 a,CO_(2)减排量提高了21.84%。用于选取的5个城市热水供应时,优化系统COP_(sys)值均达到4.1以上。该研究对于其他地区可再生能源的综合利用具有一定的理论借鉴意义。 展开更多

为了评估某核电厂冷源可能面临的海生物入侵风险,该研究利用ECOMSED模型构建了取水口周边海域的潮流数值模型,并应用Lagrangian粒子示踪技术模拟海生物的迁移路径。通过验证,模拟结果与实测数据符合良好,表明模型能够准确模拟取水口附... 为了评估某核电厂冷源可能面临的海生物入侵风险,该研究利用ECOMSED模型构建了取水口周边海域的潮流数值模型,并应用Lagrangian粒子示踪技术模拟海生物的迁移路径。通过验证,模拟结果与实测数据符合良好,表明模型能够准确模拟取水口附近海域的水动力环境。利用该模型模拟了两台机组在典型工况下的运行情况,分别考虑了夏季主导风向西南向(SW)和冬季主导风向东北向(NE)的情况,风速设定为全年平均风速3.3 m/s。结果表明:在冬季主导风向东北风的情况下,海生物的表层和中层入侵路径主要集中在乌山的东部沿岸至核电厂港池取水口区域;而在夏季主导风向西南风的情况下,表层和中层入侵路径主要分布在北南墩至盲婆岭附近的近岸水域,部分路径甚至延伸至盐洲港内部。研究结果对于了解核电厂冷源威胁性海生物入侵风险具有重要意义,并为制定相应的防护措施提供了科学依据。 展开更多

本文采用水化学特征法与稳定同位素技术,在分析柴达木盆地巴音河流域水体离子控制因素的基础上,探讨了巴音河流域尾闾湖泊可鲁克湖的补给来源。结果表明:(1)巴音河流域水体水化学类型以HCO_(3)-Ca·Mg型为主,该流域水体离子组成主... 本文采用水化学特征法与稳定同位素技术,在分析柴达木盆地巴音河流域水体离子控制因素的基础上,探讨了巴音河流域尾闾湖泊可鲁克湖的补给来源。结果表明:(1)巴音河流域水体水化学类型以HCO_(3)-Ca·Mg型为主,该流域水体离子组成主要受控于岩石风化和蒸发结晶的共同作用。(2)巴音河流域不同水体的δ^(18)O值存在显著差异。湖水的δ^(18)O最为富集,河水次之,地下水最为贫化。在可鲁克湖区域,δ^(18)O分布在空间上呈现明显分异。出湖口处河水δ^(18)O值最为富集,而入湖口处的河水与湖水则相对贫化。(3)地表河流与地下水共同补给可鲁克湖,其在丰水期的补给比例分别为86.84%和13.16%。河流作为湖泊稳定且主要的补给来源,在气候和人类活动的影响下,其输入量变化与所携带的污染物通量共同调控湖泊的补给机制、面积与水质变化。该研究结果可为高寒内陆河尾闾湖水资源的优化和管理提供理论支撑。 展开更多
