The complex working conditions and nonlinear characteristics of the motor drive control system of industrial robots make it difficult to detect faults.In this paper,a deep learning-based observer,which combines the convolutional neural network(CNN)and the long short-term memory network(LSTM),is employed to approximate the nonlinear driving control system.CNN layers are introduced to extract dynamic features of the data,whereas LSTM layers perform time-sequential prediction of the target system.In terms of application,normal samples are fed into the observer to build an offline prediction model for the target system.The trained CNN-LSTM-based observer is then deployed along with the target system to estimate the system outputs.Online fault detection can be realized by analyzing the residuals.Finally,an application of the proposed fault detection method to a brushless DC motor drive system is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.Simulation results indicate the impressive fault detection capability of the presented method for driving control systems of industrial robots. 展开更多

First, the physical characteristics of the impulse in momentum, such as motion and energy, were analyzed and formulated. Then, experimental response to a new pulse with two harmonic expansions was studied. The first harmonic is the main pulse to drive the arm, and the second harmonic has two functions: its first half helps the main pulse eliminate the dead zone, and its second half, a negative pulse, stops the arm motion quickly. Finally, an impulse feedback controller was developed. Comparison between simulation and experiments shows the effectiveness of the proposed controller. 展开更多

In order to improve the bias stability of the micro-electro mechanical system(MEMS) gyroscope and reduce the impact on the bias from environmental temperature,a digital signal processing method is described for improving the accuracy of the drive phase in the gyroscope drive mode.Through the principle of bias signal generation,it can be concluded that the deviation of the drive phase is the main factor affecting the bias stability.To fulfill the purpose of precise drive phase control,a digital signal processing circuit based on the field-programmable gate array(FPGA) with the phase-lock closed-loop control method is described and a demodulation method for phase error suppression is given.Compared with the analog circuit,the bias drift is largely reduced in the new digital circuit and the bias stability is improved from 60 to 19 °/h.The new digital control method can greatly increase the drive phase accuracy,and thus improve the bias stability. 展开更多

The drive control system of the permanent magnetic direct current motor with the enhanced magnetism windings used in the electric transit bus is developed. The mathematics model of the drive control system for this motor is established. The new mode that the added exiting magnetism field could be weakened and the speed of the motor could be controlled automatically is proposed and realized. The method of root locus design is applied to analyze the acceleration control characteristic. The results of simulation show that the new drive motor control system has extraordinary response characteristic and adjustable performance. Experiments of vehicle running show that the drive control system's antijamming ability is strong and the adjustable performance is fast and smooth, it can meet the demand of power characteristic very well. 展开更多

Drive Control of Spiral Wave and Turbulence by a Target Wave in CGLE

Suppression of spiral wave and turbulence in the complex Cinzburg-Landau equation (CCLE) plays a prominent role in nonlinear science and complex dynamical system. In this paper, the nonlinear behavior of the proposed drive-response system, which consists of two coupled OGLEs, is investigated and controlled by a state error feedback controller with the lattice Boltzmann method. First, spiral wave appropriate parameters of the response system under the no-flux and turbulence are, respectively, generated by selecting boundary and perpendicular gradient initial conditions. Then, based on the random initial condition, the target wave yielded by introducing spatially localized inhomogeneity into the drive system is applied on the above response system. The numerical simulation results show that the spiral wave and turbulence existing in the response system could be successfully eliminated by the target wave in the drive system during a short evolution time. Furthermore, it turns out that the transient time for the drive course is related to the control intensity imposed on the whole media. 展开更多

The defining feature of an NCS is that information is exchanged using a network among control system components. Two new concepts including long time delay and short time delay are proposed. The sensor is almost always clock driven. The controller or the actuator is either clock driven or event driven. Four possible driving modes of networked control systems are presented. The open loop mathematic models of networked control systems with long time delay are developed when the system is driven by anyone of the four different modes. A novel adaptive robust control (ARC) is presented for the four-motor driving servo systems with the uncertain nonlinearities and actuation failures, such that the load tracking control is achieved with the proximate optimal-time. By applying the proposed scheme, several control objectives are achieved. First, the nonlinear synchronization algorithm is presented to maintain the velocity synchronization of each motor, which provides fast convergence without chatting. Moreover, the time-varying bias torque is applied to eliminate the effect of backlash and reduce the waste of energy. Then, the ARC is designed to achieve the proximate optimal-time output tracking with the transient performance in L2 norm, where the friction and actuation failures are addressed by the adaptive scheme based on the norm estimation of unknown parameter vector. Finally, the extensive simulated and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

For dynamic stiffness enhancement, this paper presents a new method for synthesizing repetitive controllers capable of rejecting periodic vibration disturbance. Dynamic stiffness of the control system is analyzed. Direct and quadrature dynamic stiffness are defined for the repetitive controllers’ design. A trade-off method between the determinations of the controller’s parameters is necessary such that both the rejecting performance and stability can be achieved simultaneously. An illustrated example of a twin linear drive system is given to verify the performance of the proposed control design. The control performance of the present method is evaluated in the experimental disturbance rejecting control system, where the real-time control algorithms are implemented using a floating-point digital signal processor. Both computer simulation and experimental results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed repetitive controller design. 展开更多

Electronic line-shafting (ELS) is the most popular control strategy for printing machines with shaftless drives. A sliding-mode controller for tracking control is designed in this study as the first step towards an improved ELS control scheme. This controller can eliminate the negative effects on synchronization precision resulting from the friction at low speed present in the pre-registration step of a shaftless driven printing machine. Moreover, it can eliminate the synchronization error of the printing process resulting from nonlinearities and load disturbances. Based on observer techniques, the unknown components of load torque and system parameter variations are estimated. On this basis, a novel ELS control method using equivalent load-torque observers is proposed. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control system for four-axis position control. 展开更多

针对丘陵山地作物植保、采收和运输等现实需求,结合玉米、烟草的种植模式和田间作业特点,研制双电机独立驱动的丘陵山地通用电动履带底盘,该底盘主要由行走底盘和行走控制系统构成。在整机结构设计方面,对底盘结构形式、尺寸、履带式行... 针对丘陵山地作物植保、采收和运输等现实需求,结合玉米、烟草的种植模式和田间作业特点,研制双电机独立驱动的丘陵山地通用电动履带底盘,该底盘主要由行走底盘和行走控制系统构成。在整机结构设计方面,对底盘结构形式、尺寸、履带式行走机构和驱动电机进行设计选型。在行走控制方面,基于差速转向运动学模型和操控器件的信号输出特性,提出驱动电机目标转速解算方法,精准实现操控人员的驾驶意图。针对直行控制工况,采用交叉耦合控制策略建立双侧通道反馈机制,通过动态优化目标转速指令,结合单通道PID算法实现电机转速的精确跟踪。试验结果表明,丘陵山地通用电动履带底盘高速行驶时的速度控制误差小于0.02 m/s;通过坡度为20°的试验平台时,底盘俯仰和倾斜角度变化均在±1°之内;在0.2 m/s、0.3 m/s和0.4 m/s的行驶速度下,直线行驶偏移率分别为2.21%、2.56%和3.03%,满足丘陵山区田间作业需求。 展开更多

为了弥补快速刀具伺服(Fast Tool Servo,FTS)系统驱动不足的问题,开发了一种电磁驱动DDS系统来实现高带宽轨迹的跟踪控制方法。针对伺服闭环系统设计一种位移正反馈(DPF)控制器,通过比例增益形式代替系统模型,并通过扰动观测器(DOB)实... 为了弥补快速刀具伺服(Fast Tool Servo,FTS)系统驱动不足的问题,开发了一种电磁驱动DDS系统来实现高带宽轨迹的跟踪控制方法。针对伺服闭环系统设计一种位移正反馈(DPF)控制器,通过比例增益形式代替系统模型,并通过扰动观测器(DOB)实现误差的补偿控制。实验测试结果表明:采用阻尼控制可以获得稳定裕度,设置了更大增益PID控制器,获得更大的系统闭环带宽。当频率在100Hz以内,形成了平坦的幅频和相频函数,实现跟踪误差的精确控制。PID下波峰-波谷误差约±5μm;DPF阻尼下误差约±2μm;DOB增益前馈补偿下误差约±0.16μm,降低至PID的3%左右。该研究有助于提高电磁驱刀具切削工作的控制精度,可拓展到其他的机加工设备上。 展开更多
