Mapping research trends and competency domains in nursing-related digital and artificial intelligence technologies:A bibliometric analysis

Objectives This study aimed to explore the research trends,thematic structures,and core competency domains in the field of nursing-related digital and artificial intelligence(AI)technologies.Methods A bibliometric analysis was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 statement.Peer-reviewed articles published in English from 2015 to 2025 were retrieved from Scopus,Web of Science,and PubMed.Thematic clustering was conducted using the Louvain algorithm and cosine similarity.A subset of 66 frequently cited articles was then qualitatively synthesized to capture core competencies across clusters.Results A total of 83,807 articles were included for bibliometric analysis.Of these,66 articles were chosen for thematic analysis.Five major thematic clusters were identified:remote care in primary settings,oncology and palliative care,nurse education and training,safety and quality in nursing practice,and geriatric and dementia care.Additionally,four competency domains were identified:telehealth and remote communication,health systems and informatics,digital tools in practice,and AI-powered decision support.A clear shift in research focus was observed,with the emphasis transitioning from foundational digital skills before the COVID-19 pandemic to more advanced competencies during the post-pandemic digital transformation,encompassing ethical reasoning,immersive technology use,and AI integration.Conclusions Integrating digital and AI technologies is reshaping nursing practice across various thematic areas and competency domains,highlighting a transition from foundational digital tasks to AI-supported decision-making and ethically informed technology use.This study provides a structured overview of evolving competencies in digital nursing and synthesizes evidence to support future research,curriculum design,and policy planning. 展开更多

Domain Generation Algorithms(DGAs)continue to pose a significant threat inmodernmalware infrastructures by enabling resilient and evasive communication with Command and Control(C&C)servers.Traditional detection methods-rooted in statistical heuristics,feature engineering,and shallow machine learning-struggle to adapt to the increasing sophistication,linguistic mimicry,and adversarial variability of DGA variants.The emergence of Large Language Models(LLMs)marks a transformative shift in this landscape.Leveraging deep contextual understanding,semantic generalization,and few-shot learning capabilities,LLMs such as BERT,GPT,and T5 have shown promising results in detecting both character-based and dictionary-based DGAs,including previously unseen(zeroday)variants.This paper provides a comprehensive and critical review of LLM-driven DGA detection,introducing a structured taxonomy of LLM architectures,evaluating the linguistic and behavioral properties of benchmark datasets,and comparing recent detection frameworks across accuracy,latency,robustness,and multilingual performance.We also highlight key limitations,including challenges in adversarial resilience,model interpretability,deployment scalability,and privacy risks.To address these gaps,we present a forward-looking research roadmap encompassing adversarial training,model compression,cross-lingual benchmarking,and real-time integration with SIEM/SOAR platforms.This survey aims to serve as a foundational resource for advancing the development of scalable,explainable,and operationally viable LLM-based DGA detection systems. 展开更多

In this study,the wave motion in elastodynamics for unbounded media is modeled using an unsplit-field perfectly matched layer(PML)formulation that is solved by employing an isogeometric analysis(IGA).In the adopted combination,the non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS)functions are employed as basis functions.Moreover,the unbounded and artificial domains,defined in the PML method,are contained in a single patch domain.Based on the proposed scheme,the approximation of the geometry problem is set in a new scheme in which the PML’s absorbing and attenuation properties and the description of traveling waves can be represented.This includes a higher continuity and smoother approximation of the computed domain.As high-order NURBS basis functions are non-interpolatory,a penalty method is present to apply a time-dependent displacement load.The performance of the NURBS-based PML is analyzed through numerical examples for 1D and 2D domains,considering homogeneous and heterogeneous media.Further,we verify the long-time numerical stability of the present method.The developed method can be used to simulate hypothetical stratified domains commonly encountered in soil-structure interaction analyses. 展开更多

Natural biomass-derived carbon material is one promising alternative to traditional graphene-based catalyst for oxygen electrocatalysis.However,their electrocatalytic performance were constrained by the limited modulating strategy.Herein,using N-doped commercial coconut shell-derived activated carbon(AC)as catalyst model,the controllably enhanced sp^(2)-C domains,through an flash Joule heating process,effectively improve the edge defect density and overall graphitization degree of AC catalyst,which tunes the electronic structure of N configurations and accelerates electron transfer,leading to excellent oxygen reduction reaction performance(half-wave potential of 0.884 VRHE,equivalent to commercial 20%Pt/C,with a higher kinetic current density of 5.88 mA cm^(−2))and oxygen evolution reaction activity(overpotential of 295 mV at 10 mA cm^(2)).In a Zn-air battery,the catalyst shows outstanding cycle stability(over 1200 h)and a peak power density of 121 mW cm^(−2),surpassing commercial Pt/C and RuO_(2)catalysts.Density functional theory simulation reveals that the enhanced catalytic activity arises from the axial regulation of local sp^(2)-C domains.This work establishes a robust strategy for sp^(2)-C domain modulation,offering broad applicability in natural biomass-based carbon catalysts for electrocatalysis. 展开更多

Soft robots, inspired by the flexibility and versatility of biological organisms, have potential in a variety of applications. Recent advancements in magneto-soft robots have demonstrated their abilities to achieve precise remote control through magnetic fields, enabling multi-modal locomotion and complex manipulation tasks. Nonetheless, two main hurdles must be overcome to advance the field: developing a multi-component substrate with embedded magnetic particles to ensure the requisite flexibility and responsiveness, and devising a cost-effective,straightforward method to program three-dimensional distributed magnetic domains without complex processing and expensive machinery. Here, we introduce a cost-effective and simple heat-assisted in-situ integrated molding fabrication method for creating magnetically driven soft robots with three-dimensional programmable magnetic domains. By synthesizing a composite material with neodymium-iron-boron(NdFeB) particles embedded in a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and Ecoflex matrix(PDMS:Ecoflex = 1:2 mass ratio, 50% magnetic particle concentration), we achieved an optimized balance of flexibility, strength, and magnetic responsiveness. The proposed heat-assisted in-situ magnetic domains programming technique,performed at an experimentally optimized temperature of 120℃, resulted in a 2 times magnetization strength(9.5 mT) compared to that at 20℃(4.8 m T), reaching a saturation level comparable to a commercial magnetizer. We demonstrated the versatility of our approach through the fabrication of six kinds of robots, including two kinds of two-dimensional patterned soft robots(2D-PSR), a circular six-pole domain distribution magnetic robot(2D-CSPDMR), a quadrupedal walking magnetic soft robot(QWMSR), an object manipulation robot(OMR), and a hollow thin-walled spherical magneto-soft robot(HTWSMSR). The proposed method provides a practical solution to create highly responsive and adaptable magneto-soft robots. 展开更多

Effects of palmitoylation on membrane protein partitioning into lipid domains in model cellular membranes

The partitioning of membrane proteins into lipid domains in cellular membranes is closely associated with the realization of the protein functions and it is influenced by various factors such as the post-translational modification of palmitoylation.However,the molecular mechanism of the effect of palmitoylation on membrane protein partitioning into the lipid domains remains elusive.In this work,taking human peripheral myelin protein 22(PMP22)as an example,we employ coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the partitioning of both the natural PMP22 and the palmitoylated PMP22(pal-PMP22)into the lipid domains of model myelin membranes.The results indicate that palmitoylation drives PMP22 to localize at the boundary of the liquid-ordered(Lo)and liquid-disordered(Ld)domains and increases the possibility of PMP22 partitioning into the Lo domains by changing the hydrophobic length of the proteins and perturbing the ordered packing of tails of the saturated lipids in the Lo domains.This work offers some novel insights into the role of palmitoylation in modulating the function of membrane proteins in cellular membranes. 展开更多

In many metazoan species, germ cell formation requires the germ plasm, a specialized cytoplasm which often con-tains electron dense structures. Genes required for germ cell formation in Drosophila have been isolated predominantlyin screens for maternal-effect mutations. One such gene is tudor (tud); without proper tud function germ cell formationdoes not occur. Unlike other genes involved in Drosophila germ cell specification tud is dispensable for other somaticfunctions such as abdominal patterning. It is not known how TUD contributes at a molecular level to germ cell forma-tion but in tud mutants, polar granule formation is severely compromised, and mitochondrially encoded ribosomal RNAsdo not localize to the polar granule. TUD is composed of 11 repeats of the protein motif called the Tudor domain. Thereare similar proteins to TUD in the germ line of other metazoan species including mice. Probable vertebrate orthologuesof Drosophila genes involved in germ cell specification will be discussed. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the meanings and domains for giving communities the capacity to be successful in dengue prevention and control.Methods:One hundred and twenty participants were purposely selected from 4 sub-districts of 4 provinces in Southern Thailand with a high dengue incidence.Sixty community leaders and sixty non-community leaders participated in this study.In-depth interviews(IDIs),as well as focus group discussions (FGDs) with tape-recorders and note-taking,were used to collect data.All records were transcribed verbatim and analyzed by using the Colaizzi method for content analysis.Results:The findings showed that people view the creation of a sustainable dengue community program as possible only with the support of each community in its entirety:"everyone,every sector,all participating,and with continuing activities." Community capacity for dengue prevention and control was dependent on ten domains:1) stakeholder participation, 2) community leadership,3) a core-activities group,4) a problem-solving needs assessment,5) dengue information transfer,6) resource mobilization,7 ) a sense of community for the dengue problem,8) a dengue network partnership,9) critical dengue situation-management,and 10) continuing dengue prevention and control activities.Conclusion:These community capacity domains can be developed into an assessment tool for the community capacity-building process.Community capacity domains require community leaders and non-community leaders to clarify dengue prevention and control assistance required. 展开更多

Membrane microdomains or lipid rafts are known to be highly dynamic and to act as selective signal transduction mediators that facilitate interactions between the cell's external and internal environments.Lipid rafts play an important mediating role in the biology of cancer:they have been found in almost all existing experimental cancer models,including colorectal cancer (CRC),and play key regulatory roles in cell migration,metastasis,cell survival and tumor progression.This paper explores the current state of knowledge in this field by highlighting some of the pioneering and recent lipid raft studies performed on different CRC cell lines and human tissue samples.From this literature review,it becomes clear that membrane microdomains appear to be implicated in all key intracellular signaling pathways for lipid metabolism,drug resistance,cell adhesion,cell death,cell proliferation and many other processes in CRC.All signal transduction pathways seem to originate directly from those peculiar lipid islands,thereby orchestrating the colon cancer cells' state and fate.As confirmed by recent animal and preclinical studies in different CRC models,continuing to unravel the structure and function of lipid rafts-including their associated complex signaling pathways-will likely bring us one step closer to better monitoring and treating of colon cancer patients. 展开更多

It is more and more important to analyse and process complex data for gaining more valuable knowledge and making more accurate decisions.The multigranulation decision theory based on conditional probability and cost loss has the advantage of processing decision-making problems from multi-levels and multi-angles,and the neighbourhood rough set model(NRS)can facilitate the analysis and processing of numerical or mixed type data,and can address the limitation of multigranulation decision-theoretic rough sets(MG-DTRS),which is not easy to cope with complex data.Based on the in-depth study of hybrid-valued decision systems and MG-DTRS models,this study analysed neigh-bourhood MG-DTRS(NMG-DTRS)deeply by fusing MG-DTRS and NRS;a matrix-based approach for approximation sets of NMG-DTRS model was proposed on the basis of the matrix representations of concepts;the positive,boundary and negative domains were constructed from the matrix perspective,and the concept of positive decision recognition rate was introduced.Furthermore,the authors explored the related properties of NMG-DTRS model,and designed and described the corresponding solving algorithms in detail.Finally,some experimental results that were employed not only verified the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm,but also showed the relationship between the decision recognition rate and the granularity and threshold. 展开更多
