The potential capability of low coherence backscattering(LBS) is explored to determine the anisotropy factor based on azimuthal light backscattering map. The scattering intensity signal measured at azimuthal angle φ=0° is extracted for analysis. By performing nonlinear regression fitting on the experimental signal to the Henyey-Greenstein phase function, the anisotropy factor is determined. The experiments with tissue phantom consisting of the aqueous suspension of polystyrene microspheres are carried out. The results show that the measured anisotropy factor is well described by Mie theory. 展开更多

We experimentally demonstrate a cascaded Raman scattering continuum, utilizing a compact mode-locked Yb-doped fiber laser based on a nonlinear polarization rotation technique in the all normal dispersion regime.There is no physical filter or polarization controller in the oscillator, and a different mode-locked operation is achieved, corresponding to the extra fiber location in the oscillator. The broadband spectrum generation owes to the enhanced stimulated Raman scattering progress. The maximum output average power and peak power are14.75 n J and 18.0 W, and the short coherence light is suited for optical coherence tomography. 展开更多

The research on finding the arrival directions of speech signals by microphone arrny is proposed. We first analyze the uniform microphone array and give the design for microphone array applied in the hand-free speech recognition. Combining the traditional direction finding technique of MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) with the focusing matrix method, we improve the resolving power of the microphone array for multiple speech sources.As one application of finding Direction of Arrival (DOA), a new microphone-array system for noise reduction is proposed. The new system is based on maximum likelihood estimate technique which reconstruct superimposed signals from different directions by using DOA information. The DOA information is got in terms of focusing MUSIC method which has been proven to have high performance than conventional MUSIC method on speaker localization[1]. 展开更多
