This paper develops a digital capability assessment system tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)operating under resource constraints and environmental uncertainty.Building on the resource-based view,dyn...This paper develops a digital capability assessment system tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)operating under resource constraints and environmental uncertainty.Building on the resource-based view,dynamic capabilities theory and the technology organisation environment framework,it reconceptualises SME digital capability from“technology possession”to“capability building”,with a focus on data governance,organisational agility and ecosystem collaboration.Methodologically,the study combines Delphi-based expert screening with an analytic hierarchy process entropy weighting scheme,optimised via the principle of minimum discrimination information,to construct a fve-dimension,multi-level indicator system.The paper further embeds the assessment framework into three application scenarios:supply-chain fnance risk control,segmentation-based government support and cluster-level digital collaboration and monitoring.The results highlight how robust digital capability assessment can function as a new form of digital credit enhancement,a navigation tool for precise public policy and a diagnostic infrastructure for regional industrial upgrading.展开更多
To explore the process mechanism of digital innovation in manufacturing enterprises to promote enterprise performance and to reveal its synergistic,diffusion,and value-added effects,as well as the contextual effects o...To explore the process mechanism of digital innovation in manufacturing enterprises to promote enterprise performance and to reveal its synergistic,diffusion,and value-added effects,as well as the contextual effects of continuous digital investment,this study categorizes digital innovation into three types:efficiency-based,novelty-driven,and convergence-oriented.Furthermore,digital capability is classified into three dimensions:digital collaboration capability,digital innovation diffusion capability,and digital value-added capability.An empirical study is conducted based on a sample of 251 Chinese manufacturing enterprises.The following conclusions are drawn.(1)Digital innovation can significantly improve enterprise performance.(2)Digital innovation can promote enterprise performance by promoting the reconfiguration of digital capabilities.(3)Different types of key digital capabilities play a mediating role between digital innovation and enterprise performance.Specifically,digital innovation diffusion capability plays a mediating role between novelty-driven digital innovation and enterprise performance,while digital value-added capability plays an intermediary role between convergence-oriented digital innovation and enterprise performance.(4)The continuity of digital investment plays an important role in the digital innovation process of enterprises,which can positively moderate the relationship between digital innovation and enterprise performance,as well as the relationship between digital innovation and digital capabilities.In addition,it also positively moderates the relationship between efficiency-based digital innovation and digital collaboration capability.In summary,this study provides theoretical guidance and practical inspiration for manufacturing enterprises to successfully carry out digital innovation.展开更多
The rapid development of big data,artificial intelligence(AI),and blockchain technology makes the digital intelligence transformation of an enterprise possible.Based on the case study of Haier Group,this paper attempt...The rapid development of big data,artificial intelligence(AI),and blockchain technology makes the digital intelligence transformation of an enterprise possible.Based on the case study of Haier Group,this paper attempts to address the rationales behind building up the capability of digital intelligence transformation of enterprises by means of the traditional Chinese idiom,“knowledge-action oneness.”The result indicates that the learning process is an important factor for an enterprise to form its digital intelligence transformation capability.It is a process of mutual coupling between digital knowledge and digital actions.As a result of such a unity,different learning subjects form their corresponding digital intelligence transformation capability through their own learning process of mutual coupling of knowledge and action:Leaders form digital strategic capabilities through the mutual coupling of strategic knowledge and actions;employees form digital absorption capabilities through the mutual coupling of scenario-based knowledge and actions;teams form digital integration capabilities through the mutual coupling of integrated knowledge and actions;and the whole organization forms digital,eco-systemic capabilities through the mutual coupling of institutionalized knowledge and autonomous actions.Such a multi-level digital intelligence transformation system requires efforts from everyone in the enterprise.展开更多
