Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of surgical combination with traditional Chinese medicine dialectical therapy in three phases for the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture of the femur(IFF).Methods:84 patien...Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of surgical combination with traditional Chinese medicine dialectical therapy in three phases for the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture of the femur(IFF).Methods:84 patients with IFF admitted to the hospital from December 2022 to December 2024 were selected and randomly divided into two groups using a random number table.The combined group received surgery and traditional Chinese medicine dialectical therapy in three phases,while the control group received surgery alone.The total effective rate,fracture healing time,hip function score,and lower extremity function score were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate was higher in the combined group than in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the fracture healing time was shorter in the combined group than in the control group,and the hip function and lower extremity function scores were higher in the combined group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Surgical combination with traditional Chinese medicine dialectical therapy in three phases can shorten the fracture healing time of IFF patients and restore their hip and lower extremity function,demonstrating significant efficacy.展开更多
Arabic Dialect Identification(DID)is a task in Natural Language Processing(NLP)that involves determining the dialect of a given piece of text in Arabic.The state-of-the-art solutions for DID are built on various deep ...Arabic Dialect Identification(DID)is a task in Natural Language Processing(NLP)that involves determining the dialect of a given piece of text in Arabic.The state-of-the-art solutions for DID are built on various deep neural networks that commonly learn the representation of sentences in response to a given dialect.Despite the effectiveness of these solutions,the performance heavily relies on the amount of labeled examples,which is labor-intensive to atain and may not be readily available in real-world scenarios.To alleviate the burden of labeling data,this paper introduces a novel solution that leverages unlabeled corpora to boost performance on the DID task.Specifically,we design an architecture that enables learning the shared information between labeled and unlabeled texts through a gradient reversal layer.The key idea is to penalize the model for learning source dataset specific features and thus enable it to capture common knowledge regardless of the label.Finally,we evaluate the proposed solution on benchmark datasets for DID.Our extensive experiments show that it performs signifcantly better,especially,with sparse labeled data.By comparing our approach with existing Pre-trained Language Models(PLMs),we achieve a new state-of-the-art performance in the DID field.The code will be available on GitHub upon the paper's acceptance.展开更多

Arabic dialect identification is essential in Natural Language Processing(NLP)and forms a critical component of applications such as machine translation,sentiment analysis,and cross-language text generation.The diffic...Arabic dialect identification is essential in Natural Language Processing(NLP)and forms a critical component of applications such as machine translation,sentiment analysis,and cross-language text generation.The difficulties in differentiating between Arabic dialects have garnered more attention in the last 10 years,particularly in social media.These difficulties result from the overlapping vocabulary of the dialects,the fluidity of online language use,and the difficulties in telling apart dialects that are closely related.Managing dialects with limited resources and adjusting to the ever-changing linguistic trends on social media platforms present additional challenges.A strong dialect recognition technique is essential to improving communication technology and cross-cultural understanding in light of the increase in social media usage.To distinguish Arabic dialects on social media,this research suggests a hybrid Deep Learning(DL)approach.The Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM)architectures make up the model.A new textual dataset that focuses on three main dialects,i.e.,Levantine,Saudi,and Egyptian,is also available.Approximately 11,000 user-generated comments from Twitter are included in this dataset,which has been painstakingly annotated to guarantee accuracy in dialect classification.Transformers,DL models,and basic machine learning classifiers are used to conduct several tests to evaluate the performance of the suggested model.Various methodologies,including TF-IDF,word embedding,and self-attention mechanisms,are used.The suggested model fares better than other models in terms of accuracy,obtaining a remarkable 96.54%,according to the trial results.This study advances the discipline by presenting a new dataset and putting forth a practical model for Arabic dialect identification.This model may prove crucial for future work in sociolinguistic studies and NLP.展开更多

The fact that this condition is also the identifier of thermodynamic equilibrium, makes each and every point along the reversible path a state of equilibrium, and the reversible path, as expressed by a noted thermodynamic author, “a dense succession of equilibrium states”. The difficulties with these notions are plural. The fact, for example, that systems need to be forced out of equilibrium via the expenditure of work, would make any spontaneous reversible process a consumer of work, this in opposition to common thermodynamic wisdom that makes spontaneous reversible processes the most efficient transformers of work-producing-potential into actual work. The solution to this and other related impasses is provided by Dialectical Thermodynamics via its previously proved notion assigning a negative entropy change to the energy upgrading process represented by the transformation of heat into work. It is a literary dialect which attempts to suggest the speech of the Bolton （Lancashire） area. As a complete research of this dialect is beyond the scope, I aim to analyze some deviant spellings which affect words containing some RP long vowels/i：/, /c：/,/3：/and/a：/. A historical insight is provided to indicate the possible origins of the pronunciations suggested by the author. The findings of this study reveal important data. According to the EDD, most of the pronunciations here suggested are present in Lancashire. Many of them are also present in other northem counties, but barely in Scotland and the southem part of England. On the other hand, Graham Shorrocks in his study of the Boiton area does not provide similar pronunciations in all cases. As for the words here presented, Joseph Wright attests most of them in the EDD. Nevertheless, the EDD and the web search are fruitless in other words.展开更多

Apart from various Yue dialects in the west and Hakka dialect in the east, there are also many indigenous Chinese dialects such as the Dapeng dialect (大鹏话), the Danjia dialect (疍家话) and also the Zhanmi dialect (占米话). The last one is not ever reported. Out of curiosity, we went to investigate the dialect which is spoken in isolate patches in the easternmost townships of Pingshan (坪山), Kengzi (坑梓) and Pingdi (坪地). The Pingshan Zhanmi dialect (PZD)seems to be an intermediate between Yue and Hakka dialects. According to our observation, PZD is quite similar to the Dongguan-Baoan Yue dialects (DBYD, 莞宝片粤语) in the western part of the city and has obvious correspondence with them, such as having the onset [m] in the Middle Chinese (MC) Wei (微) characters, little literal/colloquial discrepancies in the Fei Group (非组), [a/?] contrast, literal/colloquial readings in the Geng rime group all with [?/k] as codas, etc. However, because of long term contact with the surrounding Hakka dialects, PZD has also a lot of characteristics of Hakka, such as aspirated readings in all MC voiced stops and affricates onsetsafter devoicing, lack of rounded frontal vowels, no Ying-yang contrast in the Shang tone. Its initial consonant is borrowed from local Hua Yu or other Chinese dialects. Secondly, the Leizhou dialect of Malaysia has 46 finals. The pronunciation and timbre of some of its vowels are similar to the Yue dialect of Malaysia [ɐ] main vowel. Thirdly, there are 8 monosyllabic tones in the Leizhou dialect of Malaysia. New Urban Districts(NUDs)are the important spatial carriers to promote urban expansion or transformation.Since the 1990 s,they have been playing a more and more crucial role in China’s urbanization.For NUDs in the st...New Urban Districts(NUDs)are the important spatial carriers to promote urban expansion or transformation.Since the 1990 s,they have been playing a more and more crucial role in China’s urbanization.For NUDs in the strict sense we found that:96%to the east of Hu Line;56%within the municipal districts;64%within 36 km from their every city center and below the area of 423 km^2.The regional distribution follows significant spatial difference as"Eastern Region(50%)–Central Region(42%)–Western Region(8%)",and the provinces with the largest number of NUDs are Guangdong,Henan,Zhejiang,Liaoning,and Jiangsu.Furthermore,their interesting constructed process highlights the typical characteristics of spatial production and spatial dialectic.This paper uses the theory of the production of space,and discovers that the growth of NUDs is a rapid ternary dialectical process of spatial production:"representations of space"is guided by the top-down governmental power;"spatial practice"is reflected in the hierarchical and regional difference of spatial elements,such as the type,pattern,distance and area of NUD;"spaces of representation"embodies the tension between governmental power and urban development rights,as well as the countermeasure mechanism.The extensibility of spatiotemporal sequences ensures the unity and continuity of spatial(re)production of NUDs.However,this is also facing a series of challenges like the management coordination of administrative division and the increasing unbalanced or inadequate development.Thus,critically rethinking the evolution of NUD is the key basis for achieving sustainable urban renewal and regional orderly development in the new era.展开更多

文摘Dalian dialect is one kind of Northern dialect.Its formation is due to many factors including history,geographical location,Shandong dialect and influence from Russia and Japan.This paper analyzes the main difference between Dalian dialect and Standard Chinese,also presents the characteristics of Dalian dialect in four aspects: phonology,morphology,syntax and slangs.
文摘This work,using the case study of the Haitian Revolution,positions Paul C.Mocombe’s theory of antidialectic within Hegel’s dialectical reasoning.Mocombe posits that the antidialectical position in Hegel’s dialectic is the position of each self-consciousness when they initially encounter each other at the onset of the master/slave dialectic.Whereas,the master seeks to move to the dialectical position in order to dominate and eliminate the original(antidialectical)position of the slave,the slave remains in this antidialectical position so long as they seek to fight against their enslavement for the purpose of maintaining and reproducing their original,antidialectical,position,which is social,political,economic,and ideological.In any other instances,they(the slaves)are either in the dialectical,seeking to maintain the status quo,or negative dialectical,seeking to integrate the status quo on equal footing with the master,positions.
文摘Based on first-hand materials obtained from field investigations in Malaysia, the results show that: firstly, there are 17 initials in the Leizhou dialect of Malaysia, including the implosives initial and the [f] initial. The pronunciation of Leizhou dialect in China is already rare, some of which are retained in the Leizhou dialect of Malaysia. Its initial consonant is borrowed from local Hua Yu or other Chinese dialects. Secondly, the Leizhou dialect of Malaysia has 46 finals. The pronunciation and timbre of some of its vowels are similar to the Yue dialect of Malaysia [ɐ] main vowel. Thirdly, there are 8 monosyllabic tones in the Leizhou dialect of Malaysia. The pronunciation and tone of some of its characters are similar to the Xia Yin entering tone of Yue dialect of Malaysia.

文摘Dialect contains rich cultural connotation,represents valuable regional cultural spirit,and therefore has strong living fossil value.In terms of how to protect and inherit dialect proverbs,cultural ecology is undoubtedly a valuable research perspective,whose theory focuses on the three-fold relationships between man and nature,man and society,and man and man.Based on the principles of cultural ecology,this paper probes into the potential threats to Taizhou dialect proverbs,explores the reasons for their decline,and highlights the need for an ecological protection approach.

文摘New Urban Districts(NUDs)are the important spatial carriers to promote urban expansion or transformation.Since the 1990 s,they have been playing a more and more crucial role in China’s urbanization.For NUDs in the strict sense we found that:96%to the east of Hu Line;56%within the municipal districts;64%within 36 km from their every city center and below the area of 423 km^2.The regional distribution follows significant spatial difference as"Eastern Region(50%)–Central Region(42%)–Western Region(8%)",and the provinces with the largest number of NUDs are Guangdong,Henan,Zhejiang,Liaoning,and Jiangsu.Furthermore,their interesting constructed process highlights the typical characteristics of spatial production and spatial dialectic.This paper uses the theory of the production of space,and discovers that the growth of NUDs is a rapid ternary dialectical process of spatial production:"representations of space"is guided by the top-down governmental power;"spatial practice"is reflected in the hierarchical and regional difference of spatial elements,such as the type,pattern,distance and area of NUD;"spaces of representation"embodies the tension between governmental power and urban development rights,as well as the countermeasure mechanism.The extensibility of spatiotemporal sequences ensures the unity and continuity of spatial(re)production of NUDs.However,this is also facing a series of challenges like the management coordination of administrative division and the increasing unbalanced or inadequate development.Thus,critically rethinking the evolution of NUD is the key basis for achieving sustainable urban renewal and regional orderly development in the new era.
文摘Teacher-student collaborative assessment(TSCA)aims to address the challenges of responding to students’work in the Production-Oriented Approach:low efficiency and poor effectiveness.As part of a bigger project carried out in a Chinese university over a period of three years,the present study explored how the teacher prepared and implemented TSCA in class,especially with a focus on how she determined the assessing objective and worked collaboratively with her students in class to achieve it,using the students’written and translated texts as examples.By adopting the dialectical research(DR)method,this paper collected qualitative data such as teaching plans,classroom recordings,and reflective journals of the teacher-researcher(the author),along with students’written drafts and translated texts.TSCA theory and classroom practice have been refined simultaneously by means of putting theory into practice and reflecting upon it.The optimized pre-class and in-class procedures may shed some light on applying TSCA to L2 classrooms.
文摘In recent years,a large number of dialect words merged with Chinese mandarin,becoming a main source of Chinese new words and contributing to the diversity of Chinese.Targeting this phenomenon,the researchers conducted research on those words.By studying literature,sending out questionnaires,making field trips and observations,this paper analyzes the main factors influencing the dialect words'absorption in Chinese mandarin and the channels involved,summarizes the traits of their formula tion.
