The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has stimulated extensive endeavors toward the development of therapeutic interventions targeting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)and human prot...The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has stimulated extensive endeavors toward the development of therapeutic interventions targeting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)and human proteins for viral infection control,encompassing numerous potential drugs and thousands of patients participating in clinical trials.These concerted efforts have resulted in significant advancements in antiviral drug discovery and development.In this review,we present a comprehensive timeline detailing the development of antiviral drugs,tracing the progression from early viral inhibitors to modern broad-spectrum antiviral agents.We also outline the current status of advancements in antiviral drug discovery,encompassing target-based strategies,innovative mechanism-based approaches,and pharmacokinetic optimization.Furthermore,we discuss the challenges and future prospects gained from COVID-19 and other infectious diseases,covering knowledge of artificial intelligence strategies,the utilization of medicinal chemistry tools,and advancements in nanotechnology applications.The application of artificial intelligence in drug discovery is increasingly prevalent,particularly in the areas of protein structure prediction,drug target identification,and bioactivity forecasting.Nanotechnology has played a crucial role in the delivery of antiviral drugs and the development of vaccines,exemplified by the use of lipid nanoparticles in mRNA vaccines.Additionally,we highlight potential future directions for drug discovery,such as targeting membraneless organelles(liquid‒liquid phase separation).展开更多
The design of highly active photocatalysts for carbon dioxide reduction is of far-reaching significance for the mitigation of industrial exhaust pollution and the promotion of sustainable development.In this work,thre...The design of highly active photocatalysts for carbon dioxide reduction is of far-reaching significance for the mitigation of industrial exhaust pollution and the promotion of sustainable development.In this work,three catalysts containing dual ligands and doped with metal V,[Co(DAPSC)(H_(2)O)_(2)]_(2)[Co(H_(2)O)_(5)]_(0.5)[PW_(11)CoO_(39)(Hdatrz)]·3.5H_(2)O(1),(H_(2)bim)[Co(DAPSC)(bim)(H_(3)PW_(10)V_(2)^(Ⅳ)O_(40))]·4H_(2)O(2),and[Co(DAPSC)(bbi)(H_(2)O)]_(2)(PW_(11.5)V_(0:5)^(Ⅳ)O_(40))·4H_(2)O(3)[DAPSC=2,6-diacetylpyridine bis-(semicarbazone),Hdatrz=3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole,bim=bis(1-imidazolyl)methane,and bbi=1,1’-(1,4-butanediyl)bis(imidazole)],have been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions.A systematic exploration was undertaken to characterise the structures and photocatalytic transformations.The results of both the IR and EDS tests indicated the successful doping of V atoms.The photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction exploration demonstrated that all catalysts modified with dual ligands exhibited high photocatalytic activity.The results therein revealed that catalyst 2 exhibited the most efficient photocatalytic performance in the reduction of carbon dioxide using visible light.Under optimal conditions,the CO yield reached 11003.3μmol g^(−1)h^(−1)and maintained good catalytic activity after five cycles,outperforming the majority of the reported heterogeneous POM-based photocatalysts.The present study proves that the additional doping of the transition metal vanadium into catalysts based on dual ligands downstream contributes to the development of highly active photocatalysts for CO_(2)reduction.展开更多
