In order to better promote the sustainable,effective and rapid development of natural gas business and the on-schedule realization of“carbon peak and carbon neutrality”goal,this paper summarizes and reviews the achi...In order to better promote the sustainable,effective and rapid development of natural gas business and the on-schedule realization of“carbon peak and carbon neutrality”goal,this paper summarizes and reviews the achievements and experience in the development of natural gas industry in China.Then,the influence of energy environmental policies on the development of natural gas industry is analyzed,and domestic natural gas exploration and development situations are dissected.Finally,domestic natural gas exploration and development prospect is forecasted,and the corresponding development suggestions are proposed.And the following research results are obtained.First,under the commitment of the Paris Agreement and the strategy of carbon peak and carbon neutrality,China's natural gas industry faces unprecedented development opportunities.Second,domestic natural gas is characterized by abundant resource bases,low proven rate of resource and clear target and field of reserve and production increase,but the complexity of the resources and the rise of exploration and development cost make it more difficult to realize the large-scale efficient increase of natural gas production.Third,nevertheless,in order to ensure national energy security and reach the dual goals of economic development and environmental protection,China continues to powerfully enhance domestic oil and gas exploration and development.According to the growth trend of new proved gas reserves,it is predicted that the domestic new proved gas reserves by 2040 will be 16×10^(12)-20×10^(12) m^(3),the peak natural gas production of 2900×108-3300×108 m^(3) will be reached in 2030,and the proven rate of recoverable gas resources will be around 14%,which indicates the sustainability of the development goal.In order to realize these development goals,five suggestions are put forward:(1)Maintain continuous and stable investment in exploration and development,so that new breakthroughs and discoveries can be achieved continuously in natural gas exploration and natural gas development can keep the production arrow upward while compensating the production decline;(2)Strengthen technological researches and make use of technological and managerial innovation to break through forbidden exploration areas and improve the development benefits of gas fields;(3)Enhance the comprehensive management of developed gas fields to increase their ultimate recovery factor;(4)Optimize domestic and foreign gas sources,conventional and unconventional gas compositions as a whole to improve the ability to deal with gas supply risks;(5)Provide taxation preferences and subsidy policies continuously for unconventional natural gas to speed up the large-scale benefit production increase of unconventional natural gas.展开更多

Based on the analysis of the four basic concepts of well integrity: full life cycle, well integrity management system, well barrier, and risk assessment, this article conducts a comparative analysis of the development history of well integrity technologies at home and abroad, and systematically summarizes foreign wells. The construction industry actively adopts the concept of sustainability to not only minimize the impact on the environment but also increase social and economic benefits through accepting sustainable design and constr...The construction industry actively adopts the concept of sustainability to not only minimize the impact on the environment but also increase social and economic benefits through accepting sustainable design and construction practices.This growing trend in sustainable construction requires both new knowledge and new skills for sustainability,in addition to conventional knowledge,such as scheduling,estimating,contracting,etc.Due to this paradigm change in the construction industry,construction programs in the U.S.A.should offer sustainable construction courses in order to teach sustainable knowledge,technologies and skills to their students before their entrance into industry.The purpose of this study is to develop a sustainable construction course designed for university construction programs using a systematic course development approach divided into three stages including preparation,development,and improvement.The course described in this paper is used to illustrate the systematic development process and can serve as an example for faculty at other universities on how to use such a method.During the preparation stage,a syllabus review is conducted in order to recognize and evaluate current sustainable construction courses offered by construction programs.In addition,in-depth literature review is performed to identify current trends in sustainable construction courses and related research.The development stage consists of:creating the framework for a sustainable construction course,choosing the goals and objectives for this course,choosing the contents of the course,organizing the chosen contents of the course,and planning the course schedule.At the improvement stage,the proposed course is improved,reviewed,and evaluated by experts from both the construction industry and academia through a detailed feedback process.From this systematically developed sustainable construction course,students in construction programs can learn basic knowledge of sustainability and the importance of sustainable design and construction.They will be exposed to different sustainable building rating systems such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design(LEED)and Green Globes,collaborative skills among construction participants,and the advantages and pitfalls of sustainable construction.In addition,construction students who become leaders in the industry will change the nature of the construction industry and society to help not only minimize environmental impacts caused by construction activities but also to secure our earth.展开更多
In recent years the commitment to disseminate the geological knowledge,making it available for citizens and decisionmakers,has been recognized as a precise ethical duty of the geologist.However the fulfilment of the d...In recent years the commitment to disseminate the geological knowledge,making it available for citizens and decisionmakers,has been recognized as a precise ethical duty of the geologist.However the fulfilment of the duty to disseminate the geoscience knowledge requires good communication skills that should be adequately trained,since often the university studies don’t include such training.A specific research has been carried out to explore the possibility to develop a short training course capable of improving the expressive and communication abilities of professionals.A set of exercises has been also expressly developed to improve the metacognitive skills of the participants(metacognition is the knowledge and regulation of one’s cognitive activities in learning processes).The course has been delivered to professionals belonging to the Professional Association of Engineers(FOIT)in Turin,Italy,and has been able to significantly improve their expressive and communication abilities,increasing their interest and willingness to divulge their knowledge,recovering their confidence to succeed in this task and helping them to become more effective communicators.The contents of the course are now available,upon request,for anyone interested in teaching it elsewhere and/or improving its contents.Providing both professional and research geologists with means to renew their interest and ability to communicate can be a useful contribution to raise their(geo)ethical conscience and to help them to more easily carry out their ethical commitment.展开更多
Purpose:This article reviews the development of quantitative methods in educational research in China since 1978.Design/Approach/Methods:For this summary and literature review,we used data from the China National Know...Purpose:This article reviews the development of quantitative methods in educational research in China since 1978.Design/Approach/Methods:For this summary and literature review,we used data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),relevant books,and research output from the Graduate School of Education,Peking University.Findings:We divided the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research into four stages:the Startup Stage(1978–1988),the Gradual Application Stage(1989–1998),the Growth Spurt Stage(1999–2008),and the Integrated and Diverse Development Stage(2009–2018).Overall,the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research shows sustained innovation in numerous aspects,including research methods,data sources,utilization of advancements in computing technology and statistical software,and research topics.However,despite the relatively advanced state of quantitative methods,education measurement and evaluation require further attention.The questionnaire and experimental research data currently available indicate the need to improve the mining and utilization of big data.Moreover,while Chinese educational researchers have demonstrated their proficiency in using quantitative research methods,improvements remain to be made with respect to collaboration and sharing.Originality/Value:This article is the first to analyze systemically the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research.It provides an original summary of the development and characteristics of quantitative methods in educational research in China.展开更多
