According to the model, the adsorption rate constant calculated was 0.107 8 and 0.030 28 min^-1 for Cu^2+ and Cd^2+ respectively. The experimental biosorption equilibrium data for Cu^2+ and Cd^2+ were in good agreement with those calculated by the Langmuir model. The maximum uptake capacity calculated was 83.3 and 112.4 mg/g for Cu^2+ and Cd^2+ according to the Langmuir model, respectively.
