A Langevin delayed fractional system with multiple delays in control,is a delayed fractional system that includes delay parameters in both state and control,is first introduced.This paper is devoted to investigating the relative controllability of the Langevin delayed fractional system with multiple delays in control.For linear systems to be relatively controllable,necessary and sufficient circumstances are identified by introducing and employing the Gramian matrix.The sufficient conditions for the relative controllability of semilinear systems are ofered based on Schauder's fixed point theorem.As an unusual approach,the controllability results of the delayed system are built for the first time on the exact solution produced by the MittagLeffler type function although controllability ones in the literature are built on the Volterra integral equations or the mild solutions produced by resolvent families. 展开更多

We studied the response of harmonically and stochastically excited strongly nonlinear oscillators with delayed feedback bang-bang control using the stochastic averaging method. First, the time-delayed feedback bang-bang control force is expressed approximately in terms of the system state variables without time delay. Then the averaged It6 stochastic differential equations for the system are derived using the stochastic averaging method. Finally, the response of the system is obtained by solving the Fokker-Plank-Kolmogorov (FPK) equation associated with the averaged lt6 equations. A Duffing oscillator with time-delayed feedback bang-bang control under combined harmonic and white noise excitations is taken as an example to illus- trate the proposed method. The analytical results are confirmed by digital simulation. We found that the time delay in feedback bang-bang control will deteriorate the control effectiveness and cause bifurcation of stochastic jump of Duffing oscillator. 展开更多

A modified coupled map car-following model is proposed, in which two successive vehicle headways in front of the considering vehicle is incorporated into the optimal velocity function. The steady state under certain conditions is obtained. An error system around the steady state is studied further. Moreover, the condition for the state having no traffic jam is derived. A new control scheme is presented to suppress the traffic jam in the modified coupled map car-following model under the open boundary. A control signal including the velocity differences between the following and the considering vehicles, and between the preceding and the considering vehicles is used. The condition under which the traffic jam can be well suppressed is analysed. The results are compared with that presented by t^onishi et al. (the KKH model). The simulation results show that the temporal behaviour obtained in our model is better than that in the KKH model. The simulation results are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis. 展开更多

However, most work is theoretical one but few are experimental. This paper presents theoretical and experimental studies of delayed positive feedback control technique using a flexible beam as research object. The positive feedback weighting coefficient is designed by using the optimal control method. The available time delay is determined by analyzing the maximal real part of characteristic roots of the system. A DSP-based experiment system is introduced. Simulation and experimental results indicate that the delayed positive feedback control may effectively reduce the beam vibration if time delay is appropriately selected. 展开更多

Hilbert−Huang Time-Delay Compensation Control Strategy Based on Gauss-DeepAR for Ship Heave Motion Prediction

The prediction and compensation control of marine ship motion is crucial for ensuring the safety of offshore wind turbine loading and unloading operations.However,the accuracy of prediction and control is significantly affected by the hysteresis phenomenon in the wave compensation system.To address this issue,a ship heave motion prediction is proposed in this paper on the basis of the Gauss-DeepAR(AR stands for autoregressive recurrent)model and the Hilbert−Huang time-delay compensation control strategy.Initially,the zero upward traveling wave period of the level 4−6 sea state ship heave motion is analyzed,which serves as the input sliding window for the Gauss-DeepAR prediction model,and probability predictions at different wave direction angles are conducted.Next,considering the hysteresis characteristics of the ship heave motion compensation platform,the Hilbert−Huang transform is employed to analyze and calculate the hysteresis delay of the compensation platform.After the optimal control action value is subsequently calculated,simulations and hardware platform tests are conducted.The simulation results demonstrated that the Gauss-DeepAR model outperforms autoregressive integrated moving average model(ARIMA),support vector machine(SVM),and longshort-term memory(LSTM)in predicting non-independent identically distributed datasets at a 90°wave direction angle in the level 4−6 sea states.Furthermore,the model has good predictive performance and generalizability for non-independent and non-uniformly distributed datasets at a 180°wave direction angle.The hardware platform compensation test results revealed that the Hilbert–Huang method has an outstanding effect on determining the hysteretic delay and selecting the optimal control action value,and the compensation efficiency was higher than 90%in the level 4−6 sea states. 展开更多

This paper presents a cell mapping method for multi-objective optimal feedback control design in time domain for a nonlinear Duffing system with time delay. We first review the multi-objective optimization problem and its formulation for control design. We then introduce the cell mapping method and a hybrid algorithm for global optimal solutions. In this paper, a new model identification method is developed for a class of delay fractional-order system based on the process step response. Four characteristic functions are defined to characterize the features of the normalized fractional-order model. Based on the time scaling technology, two identification schemes are proposed for parameters U+02BC estimation. The scheme one utilizes three exact points on the step response of the process to calculate model parameters directly. The other scheme employs optimal searching method to adjust the fractional order for the best model identification. The proposed two identification schemes are both applicable to any stable complex process, such as higher-order, under-damped U+002F over-damped, and minimum-phase U+002F nonminimum-phase processes. Furthermore, an optimal PID tuning method is proposed for the delay fractional-order systems. The requirements on the stability margins and the negative feedback are cast as real part constraints U+0028 RPC U+0029 and imaginary part constraints U+0028 IPC U+0029. The constraints are implemented by trigonometric inequalities on the phase variable, and the optimal PID controller is obtained by the minimization of the integral of time absolute error U+0028 ITAE U+0029 index. In the case where the knowledge of goal states is not known, the controllers are constructed to stabilize unstable steady states for a coupled dynamos system. A delayed feedback control technique is used to suppress chaos to unstable focuses and unstable periodic orbits. To overcome the topological limitation that the saddle-type steady state cannot be stabilized, an adaptive control based on LaSalle's invariance principle is used to control chaos to unstable equilibrium (i.e. saddle point, focus, node, etc.). The control technique does not require any computer analysis of the system dynamics, and it operates without needing to know any explicit knowledge of the desired steady-state position. 展开更多

First, a control law with a linear time-delay feedback term and a discontinuous feedback term is introduced. By utilizing the stability theory of stochastic differential equations, sufficient conditions are derived for ascertaining global synchronization in mean square using this control law. Second, an adaptive control law consisting of a linear feedback term and a discontinuous feedback term is designed to achieve global synchronization in mean square, and it does not need prior information of network parameters or random disturbances. For the position tracking control of hydraulic manipulators,a novel method of time delay control(TDC) with continuous nonsingular terminal sliding mode(CNTSM) was proposed in this work.Complex dynamics of the hydraulic manipulator is approximately canceled by time delay estimation(TDE),which means the proposed method is model-free and no prior knowledge of the dynamics is required.Moreover,the CNTSM term with a fast-TSM-type reaching law ensures fast convergence and high-precision tracking control performance under heavy lumped uncertainties.Despite its considerable robustness against lumped uncertainties,the proposed control scheme is continuous and chattering-free and no pressure sensors are required in practical applications.Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that faster and higher-precision position tracking performance is achieved compared with the traditional CNTSM-based TDC method using boundary layers. 展开更多

For the constant distance spacing policy,the existing researches of the string stability focus on the single-predecessor information framework(SPIF) and predecessor-successor information framework(PSIF).The research results demonstrated that the string stability could not be guaranteed with the SPIF,and then the PSIF was proposed to resolve this string instability.But the issue,whether the string stability can be guaranteed when applying the PSIF,is still controversial.Meanwhile,most of the previous researches on the string stability were conducted without consideration of the parasitic time delays and lags.In this paper,the practical longitudinal vehicle dynamics model is built with consideration of the parasitic time delays and lags existing in the actuators,sensors or the communication systems.Secondly,the detailed theoretical analysis of string stability in frequency domain is conducted to demonstrate that the classical linear control laws can not ensure the string stability when applying both the symmetrical PSIF(SPSIF) and asymmetrical PSIF(APSIF).Thirdly,a control law,which adds the position and velocity information of the leading vehicle,is proposed to guarantee string stability for small/medium platoon,and the other control law,which adds the acceleration information of the controlled vehicle,is proposed to guarantee string stability for large platoon as well as small/medium platoon.Finally,the comparative simulation is conducted to confirm the conducted analysis and the proposed control laws.The conducted research completes the means to analyze the string stability in frequency domain,provides the parameters' reference for the design and implementation of the practical automatic following controllers,and improves the reliability and stability of the platoon of automatic vehicles. 展开更多

The reconstruction control of modular self-reconfigurable spacecraft (MSRS) is addressed using an adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) scheme based on time-delay estimation (TDE) technology. In contrast to the ground, the base of the MSRS is floating when assembled in orbit, resulting in a strong dynamic coupling effect. A TED-based ASMC technique with exponential reaching law is designed to achieve high-precision coordinated control between the spacecraft base and the robotic arm. TDE technology is used by the controller to compensate for coupling terms and uncertainties, while ASMC can augment and improve TDE’s robustness. To suppress TDE errors and eliminate chattering, a new adaptive law is created to modify gain parameters online, ensuring quick dynamic response and high tracking accuracy. The Lyapunov approach shows that the tracking errors are uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB). Finally, the on-orbit assembly process of MSRS is simulated to validate the efficacy of the proposed control scheme. The simulation results show that the proposed control method can accurately complete the target module’s on-orbit assembly, with minimal perturbations to the spacecraft’s attitude. Meanwhile, it has a high level of robustness and can effectively eliminate chattering. 展开更多

In this paper,attitude coordinated tracking control algorithms for multiple spacecraft formation are investigated with consideration of parametric uncertainties,external disturbances,communication delays and actuator saturation.Initially,a sliding mode delay-dependent attitude coordinated controller is proposed under bounded external disturbances.However,neither inertia uncertainty nor actuator constraint has been taken into account.Then,a robust saturated delaydependent attitude coordinated control law is further derived,where uncertainties and external disturbances are handled by Chebyshev neural networks(CNN).In addition,command filter technique is introduced to facilitate the backstepping design procedure,through which actuator saturation problem is solved.Thus the spacecraft in the formation are able to track the reference attitude trajectory even in the presence of time-varying communication delays.Rigorous analysis is presented by using Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach to demonstrate the stability of the closed-loop system under both control algorithms.Finally,the numerical examples are carried out to illustrate the efficiency of the theoretical results. 展开更多
