In-depth study of the components of polymyxins is the key to controlling the quality of this class of antibiotics.Similarities and variations of components present significant analytical challenges.A two-dimensional(2D)liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS)method was established for screening and comprehensive profiling of compositions of the antibiotic colistimethate sodium(CMS).A high concentration of phosphate buffer mobile phase was used in the first-dimensional LC system to get the components well separated.For efficient and high-accuracy screening of CMS,a targeted method based on a self-constructed high resolution(HR)mass spectrum database of CMS components was established.The database was built based on the commercial MassHunter Personal Compound Database and Library(PCDL)software and its accuracy of the compound matching result was verified with six known components before being applied to genuine sample screening.On this basis,the unknown peaks in the CMS chromatograms were deduced and assigned.The molecular formula,group composition,and origins of a total of 99 compounds,of which the combined area percentage accounted for more than 95%of CMS components,were deduced by this 2D-LC-MS method combined with the MassHunter PCDL.This profiling method was highly efficient and could distinguish hundreds of components within 3 h,providing reliable results for quality control of this kind of complex drugs. 展开更多

Reducing UI Complexity Using Use Case Analysis in Adaptive Interfaces

This study aims to validate the Object-Oriented User Interface Customization(OOUIC)framework by employing Use Case Analysis(UCA)to facilitate the development of adaptive User Interfaces(UIs).The OOUIC framework advocates for User-Centered Design(UCD)methodologies,including UCA,to systematically identify intricate user requirements and construct adaptive UIs tailored to diverse user needs.To operationalize this approach,thirty users of Product Lifecycle Management(PLM)systems were interviewed across six distinct use cases.Interview transcripts were subjected to deductive content analysis to classify UI objects systematically.Subsequently,adaptive UIs were developed for each use case,and their complexity was quantitatively compared against the original system UIs.The results demonstrated a significant reduction in complexity across all adaptive UIs(Mean Difference,MD=0.11,t(5)=8.26,p<0.001),confirming their superior efficiency.The findings validate the OOUIC framework,demonstrating that UCD effectively captures complex requirements for adaptive UI development,while adaptive UIs mitigate interface complexity through object reduction and optimized layout design.Furthermore,UCA and deductive content analysis serve as robust methodologies for object categorization in adaptive UI design.Beyond eliminating redundant elements and prioritizing object grouping,designers can further reduce complexity by adjusting object dimensions and window sizing.This study underscores the efficacy of UCA in developing adaptive UIs and streamlining complex interfaces.Ultimately,UCD proves instrumental in gathering intricate requirements,while adaptive UIs enhance usability by minimizing object clutter and refining spatial organization. 展开更多

Powered by advanced information technology,more and more complex systems are exhibiting characteristics of the cyber-physical-social systems(CPSS).In this context,computational experiments method has emerged as a novel approach for the design,analysis,management,control,and integration of CPSS,which can realize the causal analysis of complex systems by means of“algorithmization”of“counterfactuals”.However,because CPSS involve human and social factors(e.g.,autonomy,initiative,and sociality),it is difficult for traditional design of experiment(DOE)methods to achieve the generative explanation of system emergence.To address this challenge,this paper proposes an integrated approach to the design of computational experiments,incorporating three key modules:1)Descriptive module:Determining the influencing factors and response variables of the system by means of the modeling of an artificial society;2)Interpretative module:Selecting factorial experimental design solution to identify the relationship between influencing factors and macro phenomena;3)Predictive module:Building a meta-model that is equivalent to artificial society to explore its operating laws.Finally,a case study of crowd-sourcing platforms is presented to illustrate the application process and effectiveness of the proposed approach,which can reveal the social impact of algorithmic behavior on“rider race”. 展开更多

Concerning the determination of excessive defense,the main problems are the judicial practice of determining excessive defense only based on the resul of harm inflicted on a perpetrator;identifying excessive harm generally as an intentional crime;limiting the scope of exemption from punishmen of excessive defense relatively narrowly as well as repeated appraisals and indirect punishments.For the improvement of judicial determination of excessive defense,the following efforts should be made.First,from the perspective of ex ante,determining the necessary limits as the standard of whether the act of defense was necessary to stop unlawful infringement Second,paying due attention to the influence of the awareness of defense on the form of culpability and in general circumstances determining excessive defense as a negligent crime.Third,giving sufficient consideration of the extent to which the possibility of anticipation decreased when the defender was faced with unlawful infringement and expanding the scope of exemption from punishment for excessive defense.Fourth,avoiding repeated appraisals and indirect punishments by analyzing the factual grounds and essentia foundations of the circumstances of lesser or greater punishments. 展开更多

So it's important to measure the concentration of 99Tc in the circumstance, and accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) might be the best method for 99Tc measurement. The 93Nb is used for AMS instrument normalization, sample matrix. And we used the difference of energy loss and deducting the isotope to measure the 99Tc in a series of standard samples. The mechanism or the method is briefly introduced, and the rield in a layered medium in the presence or slant incidence of a perpendicularly or parallelly polarized electric wave is investigated. Some illustrative examples show that the method is capable of providing the direct mathematic expressions of the fields in an arbitrary layer, and is convenient for numerical evaluation through an unified program, irrespective of the number of medium layers. 展开更多

Two series of BP neural network models have been established to predict yarn properties and to deduce wool fiber qualities. The results from these two series of models have been compared with the measured values respectively, proving that the accuracy in both the prediction model and the deduction model is high. The experimental results and the corresponding analysis show that the BP neural network is an efficient technique for the quality prediction and has wide prospect in the application of worsted yarn production system. 展开更多

Cyberattack forms are complex and varied, and the detection and prediction of dynamic types of attack are always challenging tasks. Research on knowledge graphs is becoming increasingly mature in many fields. At present, it is very significant that certain scholars have combined the concept of the knowledge graph with cybersecurity in order to construct a cybersecurity knowledge base. This paper presents a cybersecurity knowledge base and deduction rules based on a quintuple model. Using machine learning, we extract entities and build ontology to obtain a cybersecurity knowledge base. New rules are then deduced by calculating formulas and using the path-ranking algorithm. The Stanford named entity rec- ognizer (NER) is also used to train an extractor to extract useful information. Experimental results show that the Stanford NER provides many features and the useGazettes parameter may be used to train a rec- ognizer in the cybersecurity domain in preparation for future work. 展开更多

The research purpose is invention (construction) of a formal logical inference of the Law of Conservation of Energy within a logically formalized axiomatic epistemology-and-axiology theory Sigma from a precisely defined assumption of a-priori-ness of knowledge. For realizing this aim, the following work has been done: 1) a two-valued algebraic system of formal axiology has been defined precisely and applied to proper-philosophy of physics, namely, to an almost unknown (not-recognized) formal-axiological aspect of the physical law of conservation of energy;2) the formal axiomatic epistemology-and-axiology theory Sigma has been defined precisely and applied to proper-physics for realizing the above-indicated purpose. Thus, a discrete mathematical model of relationship between philosophy of physics and universal epistemology united with formal axiology has been constructed. Results: 1) By accurate computing relevant compositions of evaluation-functions within the discrete mathematical model, it is demonstrated that a formal-axiological analog of the great conservation law of proper physics is a formal-axiological law of two-valued algebra of metaphysics. (A precise algorithmic definition of the unhabitual (not-well-known) notion “formal-axiological law of algebra of metaphysics” is given.) 2) The hitherto never published significantly new nontrivial scientific result of investigation presented in this article is a formal logical inference of the law of conservation of energy within the formal axiomatic theory Sigma from conjunction of the formal-axiological analog of the law of conservation of energy and the assumption of a-priori-ness of knowledge. 展开更多

In the preliminary design stage of the full form ships, in order to obtain a hull form with low resistance and maximum propulsion efficiency, an optimization design program for a full form ship with the minimum thrust deduction factor has been developed, which combined the potential flow theory and boundary layer theory with the optimization technique. In the optimization process, the Sequential Unconstrained Minimization Technique(SUMT) interior point method of Nonlinear Programming(NLP) was proposed with the minimum thrust deduction factor as the objective function. An appropriate displacement is a basic constraint condition, and the boundary layer separation is an additional one. The parameters of the hull form modification function are used as design variables. At last, the numerical optimization example for lines of after-body of 50000 DWT product oil tanker was provided, which indicated that the propulsion efficiency was improved distinctly by this optimal design method. 展开更多
