The rapid advancement of Industry 4.0 has revolutionized manufacturing,shifting production from centralized control to decentralized,intelligent systems.Smart factories are now expected to achieve high adaptability and resource efficiency,particularly in mass customization scenarios where production schedules must accommodate dynamic and personalized demands.To address the challenges of dynamic task allocation,uncertainty,and realtime decision-making,this paper proposes Pathfinder,a deep reinforcement learning-based scheduling framework.Pathfinder models scheduling data through three key matrices:execution time(the time required for a job to complete),completion time(the actual time at which a job is finished),and efficiency(the performance of executing a single job).By leveraging neural networks,Pathfinder extracts essential features from these matrices,enabling intelligent decision-making in dynamic production environments.Unlike traditional approaches with fixed scheduling rules,Pathfinder dynamically selects from ten diverse scheduling rules,optimizing decisions based on real-time environmental conditions.To further enhance scheduling efficiency,a specialized reward function is designed to support dynamic task allocation and real-time adjustments.This function helps Pathfinder continuously refine its scheduling strategy,improving machine utilization and minimizing job completion times.Through reinforcement learning,Pathfinder adapts to evolving production demands,ensuring robust performance in real-world applications.Experimental results demonstrate that Pathfinder outperforms traditional scheduling approaches,offering improved coordination and efficiency in smart factories.By integrating deep reinforcement learning,adaptable scheduling strategies,and an innovative reward function,Pathfinder provides an effective solution to the growing challenges of multi-robot job scheduling in mass customization environments. 展开更多

Thedevelopment of artificial intelligence(AI)has sparked the invention of chatbots,which are intelligent conversational agents.These chatbots have the potential to completely transform how people interact while enhancing user experience.This study explores the building along with its execution of a chatbot for customer service support at a university reception using recurrent neural networks(RNNs).To increase user requests,the accuracy of the information,and overall satisfaction with the service,it evaluates machine learningmodels including RNN,XLNet,and Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT).In this research project,data were gathered from university offices and students,documenting an array of daily questions that frequently arise at themain reception desk of the university.The recurrent neural network algorithm was trained using the gathered dataset,and it performed admirably.The model attained a low loss value of 0.0167 and an accuracy of 1.0000.The results presented demonstrate the efficiency with which the RNN model performed by precisely identifying and responding to the questions that were recorded.The thesis studies the pros and cons of RNN and measures how it performs when compared to the advanced XLNet and BERT algorithms.These systems’efficiency can be gauged utilizing assessment metrics like accuracy,precision,and consistency of responses. 展开更多

An Optimized Customer Churn Prediction Approach Based on Regularized Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Model

Customer churn is the rate at which customers discontinue doing business with a company over a given time period.It is an essential measure for businesses to monitor high churn rates,as they often indicate underlying issues with services,products,or customer experience,resulting in considerable income loss.Prediction of customer churn is a crucial task aimed at retaining customers and maintaining revenue growth.Traditional machine learning(ML)models often struggle to capture complex temporal dependencies in client behavior data.To address this,an optimized deep learning(DL)approach using a Regularized Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(RBiLSTM)model is proposed to mitigate overfitting and improve generalization error.The model integrates dropout,L2-regularization,and early stopping to enhance predictive accuracy while preventing over-reliance on specific patterns.Moreover,this study investigates the effect of optimization techniques on boosting the training efficiency of the developed model.Experimental results on a recent public customer churn dataset demonstrate that the trained model outperforms the traditional ML models and some other DL models,such as Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and Deep Neural Network(DNN),in churn prediction performance and stability.The proposed approach achieves 96.1%accuracy,compared with LSTM and DNN,which attain 94.5%and 94.1%accuracy,respectively.These results confirm that the proposed approach can be used as a valuable tool for businesses to identify at-risk consumers proactively and implement targeted retention strategies. 展开更多

The findings suggest that the three fundamental components of an entrepreneur s personal mindset—energy, ability, and wisdom—collectively constitute the foundation of entrepreneurial leadership. Establishing a clear brand positioning and developing its core values accordingly are essential aspects of the brand mindset. Furthermore, articulating the customer mindset involves comprehending the emotions and perspectives of target customers within specific contexts. In the competitive retail industry of the digital era,data-driven insights into gender-specific customer behavior are essential.They support the optimization of store performance,layout design,product placement,and targeted marketing.However,existing computer vision solutions often rely on facial recognition to gather such insights,raising significant privacy and ethical concerns.To address these issues,this paper presents a privacypreserving customer analytics system through two key strategies.First,we deploy a deep learning framework using YOLOv9s,trained on the RCA-TVGender dataset.Cameras are positioned perpendicular to observation areas to reduce facial visibility while maintaining accurate gender classification.Second,we apply AES-128 encryption to customer position data,ensuring secure access and regulatory compliance.Our system achieved overall performance,with 81.5%mAP@50,77.7%precision,and 75.7%recall.Moreover,a 90-min observational study confirmed the system’s ability to generate privacy-protected heatmaps revealing distinct behavioral patterns between male and female customers.For instance,women spent more time in certain areas and showed interest in different products.These results confirm the system’s effectiveness in enabling personalized layout and marketing strategies without compromising privacy. 展开更多

The purpose of this paper is to provide empirical evidence for the validity of the relationship between service-oriented manufacturing information system (SMIS) customization and performance from three aspects: data flexibility, process flexibility and system flexibility. We select some questionnaires from the third round of High-performance manufacturing (HPM) data to construct the construct, verify the reliability and validity of the construct, extract principal components, and analyze the mediating effect by using multiple chain linear regression and structural equation model. The results show that SMIS customization has a significant impact on its performance, and this effect works through its flexibility. More specifically, it is the multiple chain mediation effect composed of data flexibility, process flexibility and system flexibility. The importance of SMIS customization and flexibility to the organization is made clear, which helps practitioners understand the internal mechanism that affects SMIS performance, so as to use limited resources to improve system performance. 展开更多

A new way of understanding the interaction between atmospheric factors and living organisms is presented and some biometeorological indexes already developed are shown. Customer churn may be a critical issue for banks. The extant literature on statistical and machine learning for customer churn focuses on the problem of correctly predicting that a customer is about to switch bank, while very rarely consid-ers the problem of generating personalized actions to improve the customer retention rate. However, these decisions are at least as critical as the correct identification of customers at risk. The decision of what actions to deliver to what customers is normally left to managers who can only rely upon their knowledge. By looking at the scientific literature on CRM and personalization, this research proposes a number of models which can be used to generate marketing ac-tions, and shows how to integrate them into a model embracing both the analytical prediction of customer churn and the generation of retention actions. The benefits and risks associated with each approach are discussed. The paper also describes a case of application of a predictive model of customer churn in a retail bank where the analysts have also generated a set of personalized actions to retain customers by using one of the approaches presented in the paper, namely by adapting a recommender system approach to the retention problem. 展开更多

Prediction Models for Total Customer Satisfaction Based on the ISO/IEC9126 System Quality Model

Furthermore, a customer satisfaction for products quality and a price have a big influence on the sales of the product. It spends limited financial resources effectively to raise the profitability of the system product, and it is necessary to realize the high quality product correspond to the customer needs as much as possible. There may be close relationship between cost of a product and an expense to implement the individual inherent attribute of system product. For the purpose of improvement of the customer satisfaction for quality of system product, the method of quantitative quality requirement and evaluation based on the ISO/IEC9126 quality model that includes six quality characteristics is widely recognized. However, independency among each quality characteristic has not been sure and the suitability of method for quality requirement of system product by using these six quality characteristics could not certified statistically. In the precedent study, introduced the requirements definition method for the quality of system product based on the system quality model defined in ISO/IEC9126 and proposed the effectiveness of it statistically. This study have measured the customer satisfaction for the system quality from the viewpoint of six quality characteristics quantitatively and confirmed the effectiveness of the technique to evaluate. In this study, we have confirmed the relationship between inherent attributes of the product and quantitative result of a measured value of total customer satisfaction from the view point of six quality characteristics statistically. This study performed the trial to clarify the relations with the inherent attributes that quantitative result of a measurement of the customer satisfaction based on six quality characteristics by the quality model of ISO/IEC9126. In addition, this study performed the development of the prediction model to estimate the total customer satisfaction for the system product from the view point of inherent attribute of the product. In this paper, we propose the effectiveness of application of the estimated prediction model and possibility of improvement of the total customer satisfaction of a system product. 展开更多
