Modules enable students to engage with content at their own pace,fostering autonomy and deeper understanding.The modular approach ensures clarity in presenting objectives,instructions,and concepts,while having illustr...Modules enable students to engage with content at their own pace,fostering autonomy and deeper understanding.The modular approach ensures clarity in presenting objectives,instructions,and concepts,while having illustrations,activities,and assessments could enhance comprehension and retention.This paper was a developmental study on STS module for college students using the ADDIE Model(Analysis,Design,Development,Implementation,and Evaluation).Sampled 673 first-year students from Northwest Samar State University participated in the study,with 299 participating in a test try-out and 374 in the students’performance evaluation.Three expert evaluators with backgrounds in science,English,and psychology,each with over four years of experience,assessed the modules to ensure alignment with the study’s constructivist learning goals and instructional integrity.The findings revealed that both students and experts had rated the instructional module positively,indicating its effectiveness in facilitating learning and completing lessons.Key aspects such as the style of illustrations and written expressions,the usefulness of learning activities,and the guidance provided by illustrations and captions were especially well-received.The module was praised for its clear objectives,understandable instructions,and engaging tasks like trivia and puzzles.Expert evaluations highlighted relevance,simplicity,and balanced emphasis on topics in the module content.Furthermore,students in test group demonstrated significant improvement in performance,with post-test scores notably higher than pre-test scores,confirming the module’s effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes.Consequently,this paper provides an opportunity to integrate science learning with initiatives aimed at promoting environmental preservation and driving social change.展开更多

This paper presents a novel algorithm for training robotic arms to manipulate cloth,by leveraging reinforcement learning and curriculum learning approaches.Traditional cloth manipulation algorithms rely heavily on pre...This paper presents a novel algorithm for training robotic arms to manipulate cloth,by leveraging reinforcement learning and curriculum learning approaches.Traditional cloth manipulation algorithms rely heavily on predefined action primitives and assumptions about cloth dynamics,introducing significant prior knowledge.To circumvent this limitation,we utilize reinforcement learning to train our cloth folding agent.To fully utilize the advantage of reinforcement learning,we propose a semi-sparse reward function incorporating folding accuracy and a curriculum scheme to accelerate training and improve policy stability.We validate the proposed method by implementing it in the StableBaselines3 framework and training the agent using the soft actor critic algorithm in our virtual environment based on physical-based cloth simulator.Our results demonstrate the benefits of the curriculum learning scheme which increases sample efficiency and accelerates training process compared with previous reinforcement learning cloth manipulation method.展开更多

文摘By analyzing the urgent demand for digital talents in the current landscape industry and the challenges faced by the traditional teaching mode,this study aims to explore a set of teaching methodology reform solutions based on digital technology to improve the quality of teaching and enhance the practical innovation ability of students.The study firstly describes the application of digital technologies such as CAD/BIM,3D modelling and rendering,virtual reality(VR)/augmented reality(AR),and geographic information system(GIS)in the field of landscape architecture.Then,the current teaching status of plant configuration and landscape architecture courses is analyzed,and the advantages and challenges of digital technology applications are identified.On this basis,this study proposes a multi-dimensional reform path and practice plan including the reconstruction of teaching objectives and content,innovation of teaching mode,improvement of teaching strategies and methods,as well as the construction of teaching resources and the reform of teaching evaluation,guided by modern educational theories such as constructivism,collaborative learning and project-based learning(PBL).Finally,this study emphasizes the key roles of faculty construction,optimization of hardware and software environment,and teaching management and institutional guarantee in the reform.
文摘Point-of-care ultrasound(POCUS) is recognized as a valuable diagnostic tool,especially in resourcelimited settings(RLS).POCUS provides rapid diagnostic information that enables health professionals to make critical decisions at the bedside.^([1]) Despite the welldocumented benefits of POCUS,access to longitudinal,comprehensive training programs and a lack of trainee feedback are barriers to the widespread use of this technology in such settings.^([2])
文摘Against the backdrop of China’s strong emphasis on cultivating top innovative talents,the high school physics curriculum,as a core component of scientific education,bears the crucial mission of fostering students’scientific thinking,creativity,and practical ability.However,current physics teaching still faces issues such as fragmented content systems,weak experimental and inquiry components,and single evaluation methods,which fail to align with the objectives of top-talent cultivation[1].Guided by the top-talent training model,this study systematically explores reform paths for the high school physics curriculum in terms of educational philosophy,course content,teaching methods,and evaluation mechanisms.The research proposes reconstructing the curriculum system around the main thread of“core concepts-inquiry practice-innovative application,”strengthening interdisciplinary integration and the inclusion of frontier modern physics topics.In teaching methodology,it advocates for a shift toward problem-driven,project-based,and self-directed learning models,leveraging information and intelligent technologies to enhance classroom effectiveness.In evaluation,it suggests building a comprehensive system centered on formative assessment and innovation capability evaluation.Based on the reform practice of a key high school’s top-talent experimental class,the findings show significant improvements in students’scientific inquiry skills and creative thinking,as well as optimization of teaching philosophy and classroom ecology.The results provide theoretical and practical references for high school physics curriculum reform in the new era and offer insights into the construction of top-talent cultivation systems.

文摘Digital technologies have emerged as a key force driving industrial transformation and shaping corporate competitiveness.In response to national strategies and reforms in digital marketing education,the integration of digital thinking into the“Marketing Planning Practice”curriculum is essential for cultivating interdisciplinary marketing professionals.At Hainan College of Economics and Business,digital transformation has been embedded as a core component of this course.This paper examines the associated challenges,implementation strategies,and practical outcomes,and presents illustrative case studies.The findings provide insights for enhancing digital integration in vocational marketing education and for fostering skilled,technology-oriented marketing talent.

文摘Higher education increasingly emphasizes the unique role of aesthetic education in cultivating virtue and morality.From the perspective of integrating aesthetic education with teaching,this study develops an analytical framework to explore the theoretical foundations,practical pathways,and teaching mechanisms involved in interdisciplinary aesthetic education course construction at Sichuan University.Employing literature analysis and case studies,the paper systematically examines the theoretical basis of aesthetic education and its contemporary demands in higher education.Specifically,it focuses on Sichuan University’s initiatives in aesthetic education curriculum reform,covering practices such as curriculum design,faculty team development,resource coordination,and collaboration between internal and external institutions.Findings suggest that interdisciplinary aesthetic education courses enrich the content of aesthetic education in universities and enhance students’overall competence;however,these courses also face challenges like insufficient faculty and inadequate evaluation mechanisms during implementation.Consequently,this paper proposes strengthening top-level design,refining the curriculum system,enhancing faculty training,and improving evaluation mechanisms as recommendations for future improvement.This research aims to provide valuable references for aesthetic education reform in higher education in the new era,significantly contributing to interdisciplinary synergy and the comprehensive educational goal of integrating moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic,and labor education.

文摘With the intensification of climate change and ecological environmental degradation,the role of postgraduate landscape design disciplines in achieving sustainable development goals has become increasingly prominent.Nature-based Solutions(NbS),as an emerging concept,emphasize addressing social and environmental challenges through natural processes,offering a new direction for landscape design education.This study explored the reform of and reflections on landscape design courses for postgraduates guided by Nature-based Solutions.In response to the issues of disconnection between theory and practice and insufficient interdisciplinary integration in current graduate education in landscape design,this paper proposed a curriculum reform pathway oriented towards nature-based solutions.A new model for cultivating postgraduates in landscape design was explored by reconstructing the curriculum system,innovating teaching methods,and improving evaluation mechanisms.Moreover,drawing on the practical case of graduate teaching at Zhongyuan University of Technology,specific implementation strategies and outcomes of the curriculum reform were analyzed.This paper also reflected on the challenges encountered during the reform process and proposed corresponding optimization suggestions,aiming to provide a reference for the innovative development of graduate education in landscape design in China.

文摘Gene Engineering Principles is a fundamental professional course for majors such as bioengineering and biotechnology.It integrates theoretical knowledge with experimental practice and engineering applications.It is characterized by its comprehensive and highly practical nature.Aligning with the new-era higher education philosophy of‘competency-oriented,value-driven’teaching,this study presented a systematic exploration and practice based on undergraduate cohorts from 2018 to 2020 in Chengdu University.The reform focused on teaching methodology,formative assessment,and the integration of ideological and political education.Key strategies included the introduction of classical experimental cases,emphasis on pre-class preparation,enhancement of classroom interaction,focus on engineering-oriented applications,optimization of assessment mechanisms,and the incorporation of national strategic needs into the curriculum.These measures effectively stimulated students’learning motivation and research potential,thereby improving the overall teaching quality and educational effectiveness of the course.The results of the teaching reform demonstrate significant improvements in students’ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering problems,scientific thinking,experimental research skills,scientific reasoning,and professional identity.Reformed classes outperformed control groups across various instructional metrics,achieving notable educational outcomes.
文摘educational policies pose challenges for teachers to translate into practice,and the developed learning activities neither meet students’demands for future careers and social lives,nor guarantee classroom cooperation or compliance.This paper takes up these concerns and attempts to articulate the possibilities of shifting pedagogic discourses to make Chinese learnable for students from low socio-economic status(SES)backgrounds.By applying Bernstein’s conceptualization of vertical and horizontal discourses(1999),I present two vignettes from a research project designed to induct underprivileged students into CFL learning in an Australian primary classroom.The potentially useful knowledge of Chinese language and culture was reorganized to constitute worthwhile pedagogical tools,interweaving both formal and informal discourses for students,recognizing relevance in personal and school lives.By offering a convincing explanation of effective CFL and its affordances for social equity and just education,this paper makes an original contribution to scholarly debate around structuring the CFL curriculum in the global context.
