Through the research, it is found that the Confucian culture structure consists of the hard structure ＂ritual＂ and the soft structure ＂benevolence＂, and based on this constructs three-outline, five- principal, four-moral, eight- virtul, five cardinal principals and other Confucian culture, so that these have a social management function, resulting in a 2000-year stable Chinese social order, which also provides reference for the social management of Chinese government today.展开更多

Against the background of building "beautiful Zhejiang and good life", Ningbo City has to optimize the livable environment continuously, integrate natural, humanistic, green, characteristic and comfortable elements into the beautiful countryside construction, thus it is urgent to explore the cultural characteristics and functions of architectural environment in traditional villages. Cultural characteristics and functions of architectural environment in traditional villages of Ningbo should be more systematic, legalized, and scientific. This study investigated the probiotic properties,functional activities and fermentation performances of Ped-iococcus pentosaceus JS91(JS91)and Pediococcus pentosaceus JS96(JS96).The results of probiotic properties sho...This study investigated the probiotic properties,functional activities and fermentation performances of Ped-iococcus pentosaceus JS91(JS91)and Pediococcus pentosaceus JS96(JS96).The results of probiotic properties showed that JS91 and JS96 possessed gastrointestinal tolerance,aggregation and antimicrobial activities.Functional activity results found that the cell-free supernatants of JS91 and JS96 showed good antioxidant ac-tivity.Meanwhile,the two strains exhibited cholesterol degrading ability.The fermentation performance results showed that JS91 and JS96 could produce acid,grow steadily in pear juice,decrease the pH value and increase the titratable acidity of fermented pear juice.Moreover,JS91 and JS96 could enhance the superoxide anion radical scavenging activity and total antioxidant capacity of the fermented pear juice.Sensory evaluation results showed that JS91 and JS96 could improve the overall acceptability of fermented pear juice.The present findings could provide valuable information for the application of JS91 and JS96 as functional starter cultures in fer-mented foods.展开更多
Paocai is valued for its palatable taste and potential health benefits,but faces challenges such as prolonged fermentation periods and inconsistent quality.This study addressed these issues by investigating the effect...Paocai is valued for its palatable taste and potential health benefits,but faces challenges such as prolonged fermentation periods and inconsistent quality.This study addressed these issues by investigating the effects of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CBPC,a strain isolated from high-quality fermented paocai,on radish paocai fermentation and comparing its performance to a control group.The aim was to enhance fermentation efficiency,improve flavor,and ensure product safety.Physicochemical properties,flavor characteristics,and safety indicators were systematically analyzed,and shelf-life extension was evaluated using electron beam(e-beam)irradiation.Results revealed that inoculation with Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CBPC significantly accelerated fermentation,achieving full fermentation two days earlier than the control,reduced yellowing(ΔE>5),and decreased nitrite levels.Inoculated fermentation also enriched the flavor profile by increasing concentrations of lactic acid,oxalic acid,glutamic acid,proline,arginine,rhodinol,and camphene hydrate,resulting in enhanced taste and aroma.Furthermore,e-beam irradiation effectively controlled microbial load and maintained stable pH and nitrite levels over 60 days of storage,ensuring long-term safety and quality.This study highlights the practical potential of combining inoculated fermentation and e-beam irradiation to produce high-quality,safe radish paocai.展开更多

It focuses on three main subjects of mourning before burial--lamentation, mourners＇ gestures and behaviors, and mourning apparel--to demonstrate the cultural function and social influence of the mourning rituals through the analysis of the function and purpose of the mourning of two ancient peoples. We find that there are some differences in these two ancient societies, although the rites of mourning share some basic and similar procedures and functions.展开更多

Over past decades plant tissue culture has emerged as an alternative of whole plant cultivation in the production of valuable secondary metabolites.Adventitious roots culture of Panax ginseng and Echinacea purpure has...Over past decades plant tissue culture has emerged as an alternative of whole plant cultivation in the production of valuable secondary metabolites.Adventitious roots culture of Panax ginseng and Echinacea purpure has reached the scale of 1-10 kL.Some molecular biological techniques,such as transgenic technology and genetic stability are increasingly used in the studies on plant tissue cultures.The studies on elicitors have deepened into the induction mechanism,including signal molecules,functional genes,and so on.More and more biological elicitors,such as A.niger and yeast are used to increase the active compounds in plant tissue cultures.We also discussed the application of synthetic biology in the studies on biosynthesis of artemisinin,paclitaxel,and tanshinon.The studies on active ingredients biosynthesis of medicinal plants provide unprecedented possibilities to achieve mass production of active ingredients.Plant tissue cultures can not only produce active ingredients but also as experimental materials for biosynthesis.In order to improve the contents of active compounds in medicinal plants,following aspects could be carried out gene interference or gene silencing,gene overexpression,combination with chemical synthesis,application of elicitors,and site-directed mutagenesis of the key enzymes.展开更多
