Objective:To assess prenatal Bisphenol A(BPA)exposure levels and explore their preliminary associations with maternal and fetal characteristics in a population from Northeastern Yunnan.Methods:A cross-sectional analysis was performed using data and urine samples from 70 pregnant women in their third trimester recruited at Qujing Central Hospital.Urinary BPA was measured by HPLC-MS/MS.Participants were stratified into high and low BPA exposure groups based on the median concentration.Results:BPA was detected in all samples(100%)with a median concentration of 2.41μg/L(IQR:0.68-4.96).The high BPA exposure group(≥2.41μg/L)had a significantly higher proportion of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)(42.9%vs.17.1%,p=0.021)and a lower median fetal birth weight(3250 g vs.3450 g,p=0.048)compared to the low exposure group.Conclusion:This pilot study reveals ubiquitous BPA exposure in pregnant women from Northeastern Yunnan.The observed preliminary associations with GDM and reduced fetal birth weight warrant further investigation in larger,longitudinal studies. 展开更多

Ultra-high-strength aluminumalloy profile is an ideal choice for aerospace structuralmaterials due to its excellent specific strength and corrosion resistance.However,issues such as uneven metal flow,stress concentration,and forming defects are prone to occur during their extrusion.This study focuses on an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu ultra-high-strength aluminum alloy profile with a double-U,multi-cavity thin-walled structure.Firstly,hot compression experiments were conducted at temperatures of 350○C,400○C,and 450○C,with strain rates of 0.01 and 1.0 s^(−1),to investigate the plastic deformation behavior of the material.Subsequently,a 3D coupled thermo-mechanical extrusion simulation model was established using Deform-3D to systematically analyze the influence of die structure and process parameters on metal flow velocity,effective stress/strain,and temperature distribution.The simulation revealed significant velocity differences,stress concentration,and uneven temperature distribution.Key parameters,including mesh density,extrusion ratio,die fillet,and bearing length,were optimized through full-factorial experiments.This optimization,combined with a stepped flow-guiding die design,effectively improved the metal flow pattern during extrusion.Trial production based on both the initial and optimized parameters were carried out.A comparative analysis demonstrates that the optimized scheme results in a final profile whose cross-section matches the target design closely,with complete filling of complex features and no obvious forming defects.This research provides a valuable reference for the extrusion process optimization and die design of complex-section profiles made from ultra-high-strength aluminum alloys. 展开更多

Objective This study aimed to determine the temporal trends in sleep duration among Chinese adults.Methods In this series of repeated nationally representative cross-sectional surveys(China Chronic Disease and Risk Factors Surveillance)conducted between 2010 and 2018,a total of 645,420 adult participants(97,741 in 2010;175,749 in 2013;187,777 in 2015;and 184,153 in 2018)were included in the trend analysis.Linear and logistic regression models were utilized to assess trends in sleep duration.Results In 2018,the estimated overall mean sleep duration among the Chinese adult population was7.58(SD,1.45)hours per day,with no significant trend from 2010.A significant increase in short sleep duration(≤6 hours)was observed in the total population,from 15.3%(95%CI:14.1%–16.5%)in 2010 to18.5%(95%CI:17.7%–19.3%)in 2018(P<0.001).Similarly,the trend in long sleep duration(>9 hours)was also significant,increasing in weighted prevalence from 7.2%(95%CI:6.3%–8.1%)in 2010 to 9.0%(95%CI:8.2%–9.9%)in 2018(P<0.001).Conclusion The prevalence of both short and long sleep durations significantly increased among Chinese adults from 2010 to 2018,highlighting the urgency of health initiatives to promote optimal sleep duration in China. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study aimed to evaluate the detection sensitivity of Staphylococcus aureus in dairy products utilizing the chip digital PCR(cdPCR)technique.[Methods]Specific primers and probes were designed and synthesized based on the conserved sequence of the heat-resistant nuclease gene nuc of S.aureus.cdPCR was employed to detect S.aureus,and the sensitivity of this technique was systematically assessed in samples exhibiting low levels of contamination.[Results]cdPCR demonstrated precise quantification when the initial concentration of the sample enrichment solution was equal to or greater than 50 CFU/mL.The detection dynamic range extended across at least five orders of magnitude,with a minimum DNA detection limit of 0.2304 pg/μL.In artificially contaminated cheese samples,the method s lower limit of quantification for detecting S.aureus was 8×10^(2) CFU/g.Regression analysis demonstrated that the gene copy number concentration measured by cdPCR exhibited a strong linear correlation with bacterial contamination concentration across a broad range.[Conclusions]The cdPCR method developed in this study demonstrates high sensitivity and robust quantitative capabilities,offering a reliable technical approach for the precise detection of low-level S.aureus contamination in dairy products. 展开更多

How does Maternal Absence Affect Adolescent Loneliness?The Role of Rejection Sensitivity and Friendship Quality

Objectives:Loneliness among left-behind adolescents is the most frequently reported emotional problem because of parental neglect.The present study explored the relationship between maternal absence and adolescent loneliness as well as its mechanisms.Methods:The study included 305 participants(Meanage=15.99±0.81,48.9%females)in southeast China,and constructed a chain mediation model to test the roles of rejection sensitivity and friendship quality.Parent absence types,rejection sensitivity,friendship quality,and adolescent loneliness were all assessed with questionnaires.Results:The results showed that adolescents with a mother absent(both-parent absent,mother-only absent)experienced higher levels of loneliness than those with a mother not absent(father-only absent,non-parent absent)(β=0.3137,95%CI[0.0849,0.5425],p<0.01).Besides,the mediating roles of rejection sensitivity(β=0.0344,95%CI[0.0020,0.0808])and friendship quality(β=0.1198,95%CI[0.0049,0.2428])and their chain mediating role were found significant between maternal absence and loneliness(β=0.0245,95%CI[0.0015,0.0575]).Conclusions:These findings have revealed the significant impact of maternal absence on adolescent loneliness and provide important practical implications for educators to reduce adolescent loneliness. 展开更多

We investigated the impact of convexity and isoperimetric deficits on the accuracy of sectional area estimates of tree stems using traditional methods(caliper,tape,formulas based on stem diameter and circumference).In two complementary experiments,the use of photographs to estimate cross-sectional areas was first validated,then the use of a caliper and diameter tape was computer-simulated.The results indicated that the photographic method offers high precision,with mean relative errors below 0.1%,minimal deviation,and no significant bias,and the traditional methods led to substantial and systematic errors,with deviations from circularity and convexity significantly increasing the errors in area estimation. 展开更多

The photoacoustic imaging of lipid is intrinsically constrained by the feeble nature of endogenous lipid signals,posing a persistent sensitivity challenge that demands innovative solutions.Although adopting high-efficiency excitation and detection elements may improve the imaging sensitivity to a certain extent,the application of the elements is inevitably subject to various limitations in practical applications,particularly during in vivo imaging and endoscopic imaging.In this study,we propose a multi-combinatorial approach to enhance the sensitivity of lipid photoacoustic imaging.The approach involves wavelet transform processing of one-dimensional A-line signals,gradient-based denoising of two-dimensional B-scan images,and finally,threedimensional spatial weighted averaging of the data processed by the previous two steps.This method not only significantly improves the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)in distinguished feature regions of the image by around 10 dB,but also efficiently extracts weak signals with no distinct features in the original image.After processing with this method,the images acquired under single scanning were compared with those obtained under multiple scanning.The results showed highly consistent image features,with the structural similarity index increasing from 0.2 to 0.8,confirming the accuracy and reliability of the multi-combinatorial approach. 展开更多

The water hammer problem is an important issue in the dynamics of liquid propulsion system.This paper aims to use the Lattice Boltzmann Method(LBM)with entropy limiter to study the water hammer problems in propellant feedlines.The dynamic characteristics of valve-closing water hammer and filling water hammer are investigated by this method,and the sensitivity of filling water hammer is analyzed with a single factor sensitivity analysis with 8 factors and 9 levels and a multi-factor sensitivity analysis with L_(27)(3^(13))orthogonal experiment based on range method.It is found that the solving result of LBM with entropy limiter is basically in good agreement with finite volume method,and using the entropy limiter can eliminate numerical oscillations when solving valve-closing water hammer problems and solve the numerical"blow up"when solving filling water hammer problems.It can be seen that the dynamic characteristics of valve-closing water hammer are relatively simple,while there are many factors that affect the filling water hammer and the degree of these effects varies.The effects on the maximum water hammer pressure are relatively uniform,but those on the water hammer response time vary greatly through the skewness analysis. 展开更多

To curb the worsening tropospheric ozone(O_(3))pollution problem in China,a rapid and accurate identification of O_(3)-precursor sensitivity(OPS)is a crucial prerequisite for formulating effective contingency O_(3) pollution control strategies.However,currently widely-used methods,such as statistical models and numerical models,exhibit inherent limitations in identifying OPS in a timely and accurate manner.In this study,we developed a novel approach to identify OPS based on eXtreme Gradient Boosting model,Shapley additive explanation(SHAP)al-gorithm,and volatile organic compound(VOC)photochemical decay adjustment,using the meteorology and speciated pollutant monitoring data as the input.By comparing the difference in SHAP values between base sce-nario and precursor reduction scenario for nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))and VOCs,OPS was divided into NO_(x)-limited,VOCs-limited and transition regime.Using the long-lasting O_(3) pollution episode in the autumn of 2022 at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA)as an example,we demonstrated large spatiotemporal heterogeneities of OPS over the GBA,which were generally shifted from NO_(x)-limited to VOCs-limited from September to October and more inclined to be VOCs-limited at the central and NO_(x)-limited in the peripheral areas.This study developed an innovative OPS identification method by comparing the difference in SHAP value before and after precursor emission reduction.Our method enables the accurate identification of OPS in the time scale of seconds,thereby providing a state-of-the-art tool for the rapid guidance of spatial-specific O_(3) control strategies. 展开更多

Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), characterized by ovulatory dysfunction, polycystic ovary(PCO),hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance is the commonest endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age. It is an intriguing pathology that involves the perpetuation of a vicious circle with reproductive, endocrine and metabolic components. We aimed to assess the reproductive features and insulin sensitivity (IS) in infertile women with or without PCOS. Materials and Methods: We carried out a cross-sectional analytic study at the outpatient Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of the Yaounde Gyneco-obstetric and Pediatrics Hospital, Cameroon from September 1st 2012 to March 31st 2013 giving total study duration of 07 months. Laboratory analyses were carried out at the National Obesity Centre(NOC)of the Yaounde Central Hospital, Cameroon. Results: Overall, 36 infertile females were enrolled, which included 15 diagnosed cases of PCOS according to Rotterdam consensus meeting of 2003 and 21 non PCOS subjects as control. PCOS women were younger than non PCOS women (28.8 ± 5.5 vs. 35.0 ± 4.2 years;p = 0.0004). The majority of the women in the PCOS group were spaniomenorrheic (11/15), and ultrasonographic findings were typical of PCOS. Hirsutism score was higher in the PCOS group with a median of 9 (7 - 13). Insulin sensitivity was impaired in two-thirds of the study population, with 12 women found to be insulin resistant(6 PCOS, 6 non PCOS), 12 patients had intermediate insulin sensitivity(2 PCOS, 10 non PCOS)and 12 insulin sensitive(7 PCOS, 5 non PCOS). Apart from blood glucose levels (p = 0.007), all other anthropometric and biological parameters were not significant. Spearman’s correlation identified fasting plasma glucose and total cholesterol as factors associated with insulin sensitivity in females with PCOS. Impaired fasting glucose was observed in 13 patients with 08 from the PCOS group. Conclusion: We conclude that young age, spaniomenorrhea and hirsutism are common findings in PCOS. Furthermore, our findings suggest that PCOS may be more of systemic metabolic disease than solely a purely gynecologic disorder as described hitherto. Despite normal fasting plasma glucose levels, a good proportion of these women has impaired insulin sensitivity and it is associated with a metabolic syndrome. 展开更多

Objective This cross-sectional study aimed at investigating the intervention status and the influence of oncologists on oxaliplatin-induced hypersensitivity reactions(OIHR).Methods Snowball sampling was used to send questionnaires to oncologists in various provinces and cities in China,via the internet,to collect data on their socio-demographic characteristics,the occurrence of OIHR,and the current status of interventions.One-way ANOVA and T-test of geographic samples were used to explore the relationship between the incidence of OIHR and intervention measures.Results A total of 401 valid questionnaires were collected,most respondents were 30–40 years old,and most oncologists had 5 years of working experience.The proportions of glucocorticoid and H1 receptor antagonist use for OIHR prevention were 67.83%and 38.65%,respectively.The proportion of oncologists with longer working years and higher professional titles who used glucocorticoids for OIHR prevention was higher,and the observed OIHR incidence was lower.Pretreatment with glucocorticoids may be an effective preventive measure and can reduce the incidence of the OXA allergic reactions(P<0.05).Conclusion The risk awareness of junior oncologists to OIHR prevention should be strengthened,and clinical efficacy evaluation of glucocorticoids in OIHR prevention should be further promoted. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the association of sensory processing sensitivity(SPS)and stigma as well as the mediating role of fear of progression(FoP)in lung cancer patients.Methods:Two hundred and forty-two lung cancer patients completed a self-reported questionnaire,which included the highly sensitive person scale(HSPS),fear of progression questionnaire-short form(FoP-Q-SF),and the Cataldo Lung Cancer Stigma Scale(CLCSS).Results:CLCSS was positively correlated with FoP(Pearson correlation=0.217,P<0.01)and HSPS(Pearson correlation=0.187,P<0.01),FoP was positively correlated with HSPS(Pearson correlation=0.199,P<0.01).FoP played a mediating role between SPS and stigma(a×b=0.025,95%confidence intervals[CI][0.004,0.054]),and the proportion of mediating effect(ab/c)was 21%(ab=0.025,c=0.120).Conclusions:Patients with higher SPS reported higher level of stigma,and FoP has a mediating role between SPS and stigma.Our discussion deemed that psychological intervention may help higher SPS patients reduce the harm of FoP and further reduce stigma. 展开更多

Objective The relationship between non-high-density lipoprotein(NHDL)cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)ratio(NHHR)and stoke remains unknown.This study aimed to evaluate the association between the adult NHHR and stroke occurrence in the United States of America(USA).Methods To clarify the relationship between the NHHR and stroke risk,this study used a multivariable logistic regression model and a restricted cubic spline(RCS)model to investigate the association between the NHHR and stroke,and data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES)from 2005 to 2018.Subgroup and sensitivity analyses were conducted to test the robustness of the results.Results This study included 29,928 adult participants,of which 1,165 participants had a history of stroke.Logistic regression analysis of variables demonstrated a positive association between NHHR and stroke(OR 1.24,95%CI:1.03-1.50,P=0.026).Compared with the lowest reference group of NHHR,participants in the second,third,and fourth quartile had a significantly increased risk of stroke after full adjustments(OR:1.35,95%CI:1.08-1.69)(OR:1.83,95%CI:1.42-2.36)(OR:2.04,95%CI:1.50-2.79).In the total population,a nonlinear dose-response relationship was observed between the NHHR and stroke risk(P non-linearity=0.002).This association remained significant in several subgroup analyses.Further investigation of the NHHR may enhance our understanding of stroke prevention and treatment.Conclusion Our findings suggest a positive correlation between the NHHR and an increased prevalence of stroke,potentially serving as a novel predictive factor for stroke.Timely intervention and management of the NHHR may effectively mitigate stroke occurrence.Prospective studies are required to validate this association and further explore the underlying biological mechanisms. 展开更多

The umbilical,a key component in offshore energy extraction,plays a vital role in ensuring the stable operation of the entire production system.The extensive variety of cross-sectional components creates highly complex layout combinations.Furthermore,due to constraints in component quantity and geometry within the cross-sectional layout,filler bodies must be incorporated to maintain cross-section performance.Conventional design approaches based on manual experience suffer from inefficiency,high variability,and difficulties in quantification.This paper presents a multi-level automatic filling optimization design method for umbilical cross-sectional layouts to address these limitations.Initially,the research establishes a multi-objective optimization model that considers compactness,balance,and wear resistance of the cross-section,employing an enhanced genetic algorithm to achieve a near-optimal layout.Subsequently,the study implements an image processing-based vacancy detection technique to accurately identify cross-sectional gaps.To manage the variability and diversity of these vacant regions,the research introduces a multi-level filling method that strategically selects and places filler bodies of varying dimensions,overcoming the constraints of uniform-size fillers.Additionally,the method incorporates a hierarchical strategy that subdivides the complex cross-section into multiple layers,enabling layer-by-layer optimization and filling.This approach reduces manufac-turing equipment requirements while ensuring practical production process feasibility.The methodology is validated through a specific umbilical case study.The results demonstrate improvements in compactness,balance,and wear resistance compared with the initial cross-section,offering novel insights and valuable references for filler design in umbilical cross-sections. 展开更多

Machine learning approaches for predicting impact sensitivity and detonation performances of energetic materials 被引量:3

Excellent detonation performances and low sensitivity are prerequisites for the deployment of energetic materials.Exploring the underlying factors that affect impact sensitivity and detonation performances as well as exploring how to obtain materials with desired properties remains a long-term challenge.Machine learning with its ability to solve complex tasks and perform robust data processing can reveal the relationship between performance and descriptive indicators,potentially accelerating the development process of energetic materials.In this background,impact sensitivity,detonation performances,and 28 physicochemical parameters for 222 energetic materials from density functional theory calculations and published literature were sorted out.Four machine learning algorithms were employed to predict various properties of energetic materials,including impact sensitivity,detonation velocity,detonation pressure,and Gurney energy.Analysis of Pearson coefficients and feature importance showed that the heat of explosion,oxygen balance,decomposition products,and HOMO energy levels have a strong correlation with the impact sensitivity of energetic materials.Oxygen balance,decomposition products,and density have a strong correlation with detonation performances.Utilizing impact sensitivity of 2,3,4-trinitrotoluene and the detonation performances of 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene-1,3,5-triamine as the benchmark,the analysis of feature importance rankings and statistical data revealed the optimal range of key features balancing impact sensitivity and detonation performances:oxygen balance values should be between-40%and-30%,density should range from 1.66 to 1.72 g/cm^(3),HOMO energy levels should be between-6.34 and-6.31 eV,and lipophilicity should be between-1.0 and 0.1,4.49 and 5.59.These findings not only offer important insights into the impact sensitivity and detonation performances of energetic materials,but also provide a theoretical guidance paradigm for the design and development of new energetic materials with optimal detonation performances and reduced sensitivity. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the difference in gut microbiota between population with damp-heat constitution(DHC)and balanced constitution(BC).METHODS:A multi-centered cross-sectional casecontrol study was conducted,which included 249 participants with damp-heat constitution or balanced constitution.Baseline information of participants was collected,and stool samples were collected for gut microbiota analysis.Principal coordinate analysis,linear discriminant analysis effect size analysis,receiver operating characteristic,random forest model,and phylogenetic investigation of communities by reconstruction of unobserved states methods were used to reveal the relationship between gut microbiota and the damp-heat constitution.RESULTS:Compared to those in the BC group,the richness and diversity of the microbiota,specifically those of several short-chain fatty acid producing genera such as Barnesiella,Coprobacter,and Butyricimonas,were significantly decreased in the DHC group.Regarding biological functions,flavonoid biosynthesis,propanoate metabolism,and nucleotide sugar metabolism were suppressed,while arachidonic acid metabolism and glutathione metabolism were enriched in the DHC group.Finally,a classifier based on the microbiota was constructed to discriminate between the DHC and BC populations.CONCLUSION:The gut microbiota of the DHC population exhibits significantly reduced diversity and is closely related to inflammation,metabolic disorders,and liver steatosis,which is consistent with clinical observations,thus serving as a potential diagnostic tool for traditional Chinese medicine constitution discrimination. 展开更多

Objective:Postpartum nutrition plays a critical role in maternal recovery and long-term health.However,the nutritional status of working mothers in the postpartum period remains understudied.This study aimed to assess the dietary quality of postpartum women in urban Beijing,identify occupational-related factors influencing their diet,and explore potential interventions to improve maternal nutrition during the postpartum period.Methods:In this cross-sectional analysis,554 women one year after delivery were recruited from ten community health centers.Sociodemographic,occupational and postpartum care variables were collected via questionnaire.Dietary intake over the preceding year was assessed using a food frequency questionnaire.The modified dietary balance index for postpartum women were used for dietary quality assessment.Results:The study revealed severe dietary imbalances among postpartum women,characterized by excessive consumption of cereals,eggs,and meats,while their intake of vegetables,fruits,and dairy products was inadequate.According to dietary balance index for postpartum women,66.25%of mothers showed varying degrees of excessive intake.45.31%of mothers experienced varying levels of insufficient intake,with only 19.86%of participants having a relatively balanced diet.Occupational differences were observed,with women in the commercial employment group showing higher levels of excessive food intake.The analysis of influencing factors showed that family monthly income,maternity leave,and postpartum care significantly affected the dietary quality.Conclusions:Postpartum women in Beijing experience widespread dietary imbalances,with both excesses and deficiencies.Occupational context and related factors significantly shape diet quality.These findings highlight the need for targeted nutritional interventions tailored to the specific challenges of different occupational groups. 展开更多
