The effect of SECS on flow patterns upstream and downstream was analyzed by comparing with flow patterns in uniform cross-section vertical tubes. It is found the effect is great. Adjustment of thalweg longitudinal profiles in response to sediment silting in cascade reservoirs:A case study of the lower Jinsha River

How the strong segmentation of cascade reservoir dams and the spatiotemporal changes of sediment retention volume affect the river morphology adjustment in the reservoir area is a scientific issue worthy of exploration.This study aims to reveal the adjustment mechanism of the thalweg longitudinal profile of cascade reservoirs.This study focuses on the Xiangjiaba and Xiluodu reservoirs located in the lower reaches of the Jinsha River.Utilizing multi-period observational data of thalweg elevation in reservoir reaches both before and after dam construction,the research employs statistical,geomorphological,and sedimentological methodologies to analyze variation characteristics in the measured curves,trend curves,and theoretical fitting curves of the thalweg longitudinal profile.The investigation ultimately reveals two distinct adjustment patterns in the longitudinal profiles of these cascade reservoirs:the concave curve type and the convex curve type.The former is characterized by weak riverbed scouring and silting changed to rapid aggradation in the upstream section of the reservoir area after dam closure,then changed to slow aggradation in the whole reservoir area,which is the common feature of reservoirs that were built earlier and are relatively located in the downstream(such as the Xiangjiaba Reservoir).The latter is characterized by a straight line or concave curve type with weak riverbed scouring and silting before the dam closure changed to a convex curve type with strong siltation after dam closure,which is the characteristic of reservoirs that were built later and are relatively located in the upstream(such as the Xiluodu Reservoir).The adjustment of the cascade reservoir longitudinal profile is controlled by the spatiotemporal changes of the sediment deposition volume and sedimentation rate in the reservoir area,and the alternating changes of the hydrodynamic gradient and regulation mode affect the spatial heterogeneity of the sedimentation rate.The research results are helpful for understanding the adjustment mechanism of the cascade reservoir longitudinal profile in similar areas and have a guiding role in predicting the adjustment trend of the cascade reservoir longitudinal profile without observation data. 展开更多

This study focuses on addressing ventilation and dust removal challenges during the construction of small-section tunnels using drilling and blasting techniques.Specifically,the research examines the shale gas gathering and transmission trunk line project in the Weiyuan and Luzhou blocks.To gain deeper insights into dust migration patterns,numerical simulations were conducted.The study further analyzed dust migration behavior in small-section tunnels and large steep-sloped shafts,taking into account various factors such as ventilation distance,tunnel slope,and section size.The results indicate that optimal ventilation occurs at distances of 15 and 13 m.Additionally,dust concentration was notably lower when the tunnel slope was 0°,suggesting that a flat slope is more advantageous for construction projects where the outlet wind speed remains constant.Moreover,as the tunnel’s cross-sectional size increases,dust concentration decreases significantly,further underscoring the benefits of larger tunnel sections in mitigating dust accumulation. 展开更多

The incidence of infertility has recently risen.Semen quality is an important male fertility indicator,and dietary factors can affect semen quality.We conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis to determine the effects of healthy dietary patterns on semen quality.A literature search was conducted in 3 databases(Embase,Web of Science and PubMed)on August 21,2021.The included cross-sectional studies examined the influence of the Mediterranean,Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension(DASH),and prudent diet patterns on semen quality parameters;six studies(1244 subjects)were included.By comparing high consumption with low consumption of healthy dietary patterns,the results of the meta-analysis showed significantly higher sperm concentrations(mean difference[MD]=6.88×10^(6) ml^(−1),95%confidence interval[CI]:1.26×10^(6) ml^(−1)–12.49×10^(6) ml^(−1);P<0.05),a significant increase in total sperm count(MD=16.70×10^(6),95%CI:2.37×10^(6)–31.03×10^(6);P<0.05),and a significant increase in progressive sperm motility(MD=5.85%,95%CI:2.59%–9.12%;P<0.01).The sperm concentration,progressive sperm motility,and total sperm count were significantly higher in men with higher versus lower consumption of healthy dietary patterns.However,the results must be interpreted with caution. 展开更多

With the objectives to acquire the fundamental dat a of the territorial resource, understand the impacts of human activit ies on the land use and cover patterns and evaluate the potential of the future exploitation, an intensive land cover classification with an accuracy of 93% has been completed for North Ningxia by remote sen sing technique based on the adoption of a combination method composed o f texture training, maximum likelihood classification and post-processing such as re-allocation and aggregation. This classification result was incorporated with the contemporaneous socio-economic and meteorological d ata for cross-sectional regression modelling to reveal the spatial dete rminants of the land cover patterns and understand the human-environmen tal relationships. A tentative evaluation on the potential of soil exp loitation in the near future was carried out in combination with our land use and cover change detection results aiming at supplying some useful references for the central and local governments in their sustainable l and use planning. 展开更多

Contemporary Patterns of Management of Tetralogy of Fallot:Data from a Single Center in China

Background:There is scarce research on large cohorts with tetralogy of Fallot(TOF)from China.The database in Fuwai Hospital was reviewed to ascertain current trends in the management of TOF and to determine the prevalence of various surgical techniques and the optimal early outcome.Methods:This cross-sectional study included 1861 patients who underwent surgery between 2012 and 2017 and were aged 0-18 years old with a primary diagnosis of TOF.A total of 1760 eligible patients were included in the analyses.Results:A total of 1683 patients underwent repair of TOF as a one-stage operation(primary repair).Sixty-one patients underwent repair of TOF after prior palliation.Of patients who underwent one-stage repair(n=1683):858 were 6 months to 1 year old,421 were 1 to 2 years old,251 were 2-18 years old,and 145 were 3 to 6 months old.Of patients who underwent repair following prior palliation(n=61),58(95.1%)were older than 1 year of age.Of 1744 complete repairs,986(56.0%)had annulus-sparing(AS)repair.Total in-hospital mortality was 15 of 1744(0.9%)for complete repair(including one-stage and staged repairs).The total incidence of the optimal early outcome was 78.2%in terms of a composite of the absence of death in the first year,significant right ventricular outflow tract obstruction,significant pulmonary valve insufficiency,or catheter or surgical reintervention.Conclusions:Surgical correction in patients with TOF can achieve an acceptable outcome in terms of death and reintervention.Primary repair at 6 months to 1 year of age is the most prevalent strategy in our centre.However,the relatively high incidence of early undesirable surgical adequacy of the pulmonary valve(PV)represents a wake-up call. 展开更多

The prevalence of HIV in high risk population is influenced significantly the behavioral and sociodemographic characteristics. However, considering the complexity of behavior among female sex workers, the relationship between a particular behavioral pattern and the HIV status of this “at risk” population assumes significance. Data generated in a community-based cross-sectional study earlier carried out to assess the prevalence estimates, at district level, of HIV status in eight districts of State of Andhra Pradesh, India was used to carry out factor analysis to explore the role of demographic and behavioral pattern and their relationship with the HIV status among female sex workers. Data on 3083 female sex workers in the study revealed that there existed nine patterns among demographic and behavioral characteristics, which explained 62% of the total variation through factor analysis. Further, cluster analysis was performed to identify the groups of individuals having similar characteristics. Two of those clusters had sizeable numbers having similar characteristics. FSWs belonging to cluster 2 had significantly high risk factors compared with Cluster 1. The overall prevalence of HIV was 11.4% (10.6% in cluster 1 and 15.9% in cluster 2) among high risk population. There exists a strong relationship between behavioral patterns and HIV positive. 展开更多

They are constantly ... Background: Occupational health is an important consideration, especially for people that work in an environment with pollutants. Gasoline attendants are individuals that work in filling stations. They are constantly exposed to gasoline fumes and automobile engine products from vehicle exhaust. This increases the risk of acute and chronic respiratory diseases and carcinogenesis among them. The risk of health complications tends to increase with the duration of exposure. The study aimed to determine the proportion of gasoline attendants with lung function impairment. Methods and Materials: Two hundred and eight eligible participants were recruited for this study. A cross-sectional analytical study was carried out in Esan West local government area of Edo state, Nigeria. The study was carried out for a period of six months from December 2015 to May 2016. A questionnaire was used to obtain information on demographic characteristics, work history, mode of exposure and duration of exposure to petrol fumes. Lung function was assessed using a DTspiro spirometer (Model POP 10. Serial no 110843-005);also the anthropometric parameters of the respondent were measured. Statistical analysis was done using IBM SPSS version 20.0. Frequency and percentages were used to present categorical data. The mean and standard deviation of continuous variables were calculated and compared using the student’s t-test. The criteria of significant association were assumed for a p-value less than 0.05. Results: A total of one hundred and forty petrol pump attendants and one hundred and forty controls participated in this study. The mean age for petrol pump attendants was 24 ± 3.1 years and 23 ± 2.8 years for the control group. There were no significant differences in the gender distribution and anthropometric parameters as observed in this study. The lung impairment pattern observed in this study was obstructive in twelve (8.6%) gasoline pump attendants and restrictive pattern in thirty-nine (27.9%) gasoline pump attendants, while only four (2.9%) had an obstructive pattern and twelve (8.6%) had a restrictive pattern of lung impairment among the control group. This implies that a restrictive pattern was predominant. This study also observed that there was an increase in the number of gasoline pump attendants with declined lung function compared to the control group. Conclusion: Restrictive pattern of lung impairment was more predominant than the obstructive pattern among gasoline pump attendants. As a result, public health interventions should be instituted among these individuals, especially in developing countries. 展开更多

三峡工程运用后长江中游城汉河段河床调整特点

基于实测水沙、地形数据及遥感影像等资料,系统分析了三峡工程运用后城汉河段平面、横断面及深泓纵剖面形态的调整特点,结果表明:1)2003—2020年城汉河段岸线整体稳定,但部分深泓贴岸的弯道及凸岸边滩存在岸坡冲刷崩退现象,发生崩退的... 基于实测水沙、地形数据及遥感影像等资料,系统分析了三峡工程运用后城汉河段平面、横断面及深泓纵剖面形态的调整特点,结果表明:1)2003—2020年城汉河段岸线整体稳定,但部分深泓贴岸的弯道及凸岸边滩存在岸坡冲刷崩退现象,发生崩退的岸坡长度累计达22 km,年均冲刷速率约为12.8 m/a;2)江心洲整体呈现先淤积(2003—2016年)、后冲刷(2016—2020年)的趋势,螺山站22 m水位下的主要洲滩总面积累计增加13.5%,且顺直分汊段洲滩格局调整比弯曲分汊段更剧烈;3)三峡蓄水后河段尺度平滩河宽变化不大,平滩水深和平滩面积分别增加7.4%和7.9%,平滩河槽整体呈现冲深的趋势,平滩河槽形态调整对水沙条件变化的响应较好,河段尺度平滩河槽形态特征参数与前5 a汛期水流冲刷强度之间的决定系数R2均超过0.84,可用于定量预测变化水沙条件下平滩河槽的变化趋势。 展开更多

针对注水开发老油田化学驱提高采收率时含水率谷底平台期短、部分井出现低产低效和提高采收率幅度有限的问题,以胜坨油田二区东三段5砂组高渗透油藏为研究对象,开展了二元复合驱以及二元复合驱(剂)和井网加密(网)协同驱油物理模拟实验... 针对注水开发老油田化学驱提高采收率时含水率谷底平台期短、部分井出现低产低效和提高采收率幅度有限的问题,以胜坨油田二区东三段5砂组高渗透油藏为研究对象,开展了二元复合驱以及二元复合驱(剂)和井网加密(网)协同驱油物理模拟实验研究。研究结果表明,二元复合驱过程中聚合物和表面活性剂共同作用,改善流度比,降低油水界面张力,含水率下降40.0%,采收率为51.1%;二元复合驱过程井网加密,含水率在二元复合驱的基础上进一步降低4.0%,采收率进一步提高8.2%。二元复合驱油体系与井网加密具有协同增效作用(即剂网协同),二元复合驱油体系可以培育、发展和壮大剩余油富集区(油墙),实现剩余油的二次富集;通过井网加密提高储量控制程度,动用相对低渗透区及井间剩余油,波及面积进一步提升17.1%。 展开更多

Adequate freshwater supply has become an issue of increasing local and international concern. Reducing water use in agriculture, which is the largest water using sector of the economy, is both important and urgent. The aim of this paper was to quantify how recent cropping pattern changes have influenced water resources in the great Beijing metropolitan area, an expanding megacity which also includes rural counties. Crop production affects blue water use through water consumption and water pollution, the latter assessed here using a critical dilution method. From 1990 to 2010, the total blue water used by crop production declined due to a decrease in overall cropped area, initially in response to local government policies favouring urban development. However, the average blue water use per hectare increased from 2 112 m3 ha-~ yr-~ in 1990 to 2 764 m3 ha-1 yr-1 in 2003, largely as the result of a transition from cereal to vegetable crops, and in particular an increase in intensively managed plastic and glass covered vegetable production systems. Current policies aim to conserve agricultural land, in the interests of food security, and to stimulate cereal production systems with higher ecosystem services provision. As such, in 2010 the average blue water use was 2 425 m3 ha-~ yr-l. These results demonstrate that cropping pattern changes in peri-urban regions and rural communities surrounding the Beijing metropolitan area can have a substantial impact on water resources. They also highlight the tradeoffs between food production and urban and industrial water supply and the need for integrated policy development. 展开更多

In this paper,we propose a novel adjustable multiple cross-hexagonal search(AMCHS) algorithm for fast block motion estimation. It employs adjustable multiple cross search patterns(AMCSP) in the first step and then uses half-way-skip and half-way-stop technique to determine whether to employ two hexagonal search patterns(HSPs) subsequently. The AMCSP can be used to find small motion vectors efficiently while the HSPs can be used to find large ones accurately to ensure prediction quality. Simulation results showed that our proposed AMCHS achieves faster search speed,and provides better distortion performance than other popular fast search algorithms,such as CDS and CDHS. 展开更多

【目的】油料作物是我国食用植物油和饲料蛋白的重要来源,以大豆、油菜和花生三大油料作物为研究对象,利用随机森林模型方法,基于作物气候适宜性和高产稳产性,提出三大油料作物适应未来气候变化的种植布局调整方案和途径,为提高气候变... 【目的】油料作物是我国食用植物油和饲料蛋白的重要来源,以大豆、油菜和花生三大油料作物为研究对象,利用随机森林模型方法,基于作物气候适宜性和高产稳产性,提出三大油料作物适应未来气候变化的种植布局调整方案和途径,为提高气候变化背景下我国油料总产量、保障粮油安全提供理论依据。【方法】基于1981—2019年全国地级市三大油料作物统计产量、生长季内气候因子和农业技术进步因子,构建随机森林模型,预测2021—2060年SSP1-2.6和SSP5-8.5情景下油料作物产量;基于各地级市作物的气候适宜性和高产稳产性划分综合适宜区,结合气候变化影响,提出适应未来气候变化的油料作物种植布局调整框架,并以2019年的种植面积为基准进行种植布局调整;最后,量化种植布局调整带来的总产提升程度以及环境效益和经济效益的变化。【结果】(1)1981—2019年,大豆、油菜和花生分布在气候适宜且高产稳产性高的区域内种植面积占比分别为11.6%、38.3%和46.0%;未来气候变化下,该区域大豆种植面积占比下降、油菜占比增加、花生占比无明显变化。(2)未来气候变化背景下作物种植布局调整后,大豆、油菜和花生面积分别增加1.8×10^(6)—2.6×10^(6)、3.2×10^(6)—3.9×10^(6)和0.8×10^(6)—1.8×10^(6)hm^(2)。(3)种植布局调整后,大豆、油菜和花生总产分别提高了140%、150%和150%,油料自给率提高7.9—13.0%,气候变化对总产负面影响降低1.0×10^(6)—1.8×10^(6)t。总氮肥用量下降1.1×10^(6)—1.5×10^(6)t;温室气体排放量下降9.7×10^(6)—12.7×10^(6)t CO_(2)-eq;整体经济效益增加0.3×10^(3)—0.4×10^(3)亿元。【结论】基于作物气候适宜性和高产稳产性的种植布局调整,可在扩大油料作物种植面积的同时提高作物总产、减缓气候变化对油料作物总产的负面影响、提高经济效益并减少总氮肥用量和温室气体排放。 展开更多

黄河下游典型河段断面调整规律及河槽断面预测

2000年后,随着小浪底水库的运用及河道整治工程的完善,黄河下游中水河槽(主槽)形态发生了显著变化,分析主槽断面形态调整特征,有助于深化对黄河下游河床演变规律的认识。基于2000—2021年汛后约2500个实测大断面数据,分析了白鹤—孙口... 2000年后,随着小浪底水库的运用及河道整治工程的完善,黄河下游中水河槽(主槽)形态发生了显著变化,分析主槽断面形态调整特征,有助于深化对黄河下游河床演变规律的认识。基于2000—2021年汛后约2500个实测大断面数据,分析了白鹤—孙口河段主槽断面调整规律,构建了融合粒子群优化(PSO)与支持向量回归(SVR)的河槽断面调整预测模型。结果表明:①断面尺度上,存在展宽淤高型、展宽冲深型、仅淤高型和仅冲深型4种断面调整模式,以展宽冲深型为主。时间上,展宽冲深型占比在逐渐下降,仅冲深型则逐步提高;空间上,白花段和花夹段断面调整更为复杂。②河段尺度上,存在展宽淤高型、缩窄冲深型和展宽冲深型3种断面调整模式,以展宽冲深型为主;横向展宽和垂向冲深对4个子河段平滩面积提升的贡献率差异显著,分别为41%~59%(白花段)、37%~63%(花夹段)、43%~57%(夹高段)和22%~78%(高孙段)。③构建的PSO-SVR机器学习模型对主槽累计河宽与累计河床高程变化的预测误差均小于9%,主槽断面调整趋势的预测准确率在80%以上。 展开更多
