ANSYS/ EMAG is used to model the time varying electromagnetic field with the discharge current used as excitation, in order to obtain the radial and axial magnetic pressure acting on the tube, the magnetic pressure is then used as boundary conditions to model the high velocity deformation of tube with DYNAFORM, The radial magnetic pressure on the tube decreases from the center to the tube end, axial magnetic pressure is greater near the location equal to the coil height and slight in the other region. The radial displacement of deformed workpicces is distributed uniformly near the tube center and decreases from the center to the end; Deformation from the location equal to coil height to the tube end is little. This distribution is consistent with the distribution of radial pressure; Effect of the axial magnetic pressure on deformation can be ignored, The calculated results show well agreements with the experimental results.展开更多

Therefore, an algorithm for the coupling of FEM and MPM is proposed to take advantages of both methods. Furthermore, a conversion scheme of elements to particles is developed. Hence, the material domain is firstly discretized by finite elements, and then the distorted elements are automatically converted into MPM particles to avoid element entanglement. The interaction between finite elements and MPM particles is implemented based on the background grid in MPM framework. Numerical results are in good agreement with that of both FEM and MPM展开更多

Another class of meshfree methods based on the radial basis point interpola- tion can satisfy the essential boundary conditions exactly since its approximation function passes through each node in an influence domain and thus its shape functions possess the properties of delta function. In this paper, a coupled element-free Galerkin(EFG)-radial point interpola- tion method (RPIM) is proposed to enhance their advantages and avoid their disadvantages. Discretized equations of equilibrium are obtained in the RPIM region and the EFG region, respectively. Then a collocation approach is introduced to couple the RPIM and the EFG method. This method satisfies the linear consistency exactly and can maintain the stiffness matrix symmetric. Numerical tests show that this method gives reasonably accurate results consistent with the theory.展开更多

文摘The research on the coupling method of non-spherical granular materials and fluids aims to predict the particle-fluid interaction in this study.A coupling method based on superquadric elements is developed to describe the interaction between non-spherical solid particles and fluids. The discrete element method(DEM)and the smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)are adopted to simulate granular materials and fluids. The repulsive force model is adopted to calculate the coupling force and then a contact detection method is established for the interaction between the superquadric element and the fluid particle. The contact detection method captures the shape of superquadric element and calculates the distance from the fluid particle to the surface of superquadric element.Simulation cases focusing on the coupling force model, energy transfer, and large-scale calculations have been implemented to verify the validity of the proposed coupling method. The coupling force model accurately represents the water entry process of a spherical solid particle, and reasonably reflects the difference of solid particles with different shapes. In the water entry process of multiple solid particles, the total energy of the water entry process of multiple solid particles tends to be stable. The collapse process of the partially submerged granular column is simulated and analyzed under different parameters. Therefore, this coupling method is suitable to simulate fluid-particle systems containing solid particles with multiple shapes.

文摘As a Lagrangian meshless method, the material point method (MPM) is suitable for dynamic problems with extreme deformation, but its efficiency and accuracy are not as good as that of the finite element method (FEM) for small deformation problems. Numerical results are in good agreement with that of both FEM and MPM

文摘This paper presents a developed new coupled method which combined our in-house CFD solver naoe-FOAM-SJTU and naoe-FOAM-os with a potential theory High Order Spectral method(HOS).A parametric study of nonlinear wave propagation in computational fluid dynamics(CFD)zone is considered.Mesh convergence, time step convergence, time discretization scheme and length of relaxation zone are all carried out. Those parametric studies verify the steady of this new combined method and give better choice for wave propagation. The dissipation in propagation of nonlinear regular wave can be lower than 3%in static mesh, and less than 2%in overset grid mesh.Meanwhile,a LNG FPSO is put into the viscous wave tank to study the suitable size of CFD zone.To achieve a better solution with least calculating resources and best numerical results, the length of CFD zone is discussed. These parametric studies can give reference upon employment of the potential-viscous coupled method and validation of the coupled method.

文摘One of major difficulties in the implementation of meshfree methods using the mov- ing least square (MLS) approximation, such as element-free Galerkin method (EFG), is the im- position of essential boundary conditions as the approximations do not pass through the nodal parameter values. Numerical tests show that this method gives reasonably accurate results consistent with the theory.
文摘In this paper, we represent a new numerical method for solving the nonstationary Stokes equations in an unbounded domain. The technique consists in coupling the boundary integral and finite element methods. The variational formulation and well posedness of the coupling method are obtained. The convergence and optimal estimates for the approximation solution are provided.

文摘In recent years, the exploitation of offshore wind resources has been attached with greater importance. As a result,semi-submersible floating wind turbines(FWTs)have gradually become a popular research topic, with the structural strength being a research hotspot as it can ensure the safe operation of FWTs.The severe sea conditions of freak waves result in enormous wave heights, extremely fast wave speeds, and concentrated energy. Thus,it is difficult to accurately simulate these effects on the loads of floating wind turbines using the potential flow theory and other theories. In this paper, the structural strength of a floating wind turbine under the action of freak waves is analyzed based on the CFD-FEA coupled method. The effects of the mooring system and the wind load are considered in the time domain, and the CFD method is applied to analyze the wave load of the floating wind turbine under the extreme sea state of freak waves. The strength and motion of the floating wind turbine float structure are analyzed by combining the CFD method and the FEA method, and the analytical results of the mutual transfer of these two methods are taken as the initial quantities for further analysis. The accuracy of the analytical model of the CFD-FEA method is verified by the results of the tank test analysis, and the structural strength analysis under freak wave conditions is carried out for a new type of floating wind turbine. The results of this research provide useful guidance and references for the design and engineering applications of offshore floating wind turbines.
