A vision-based color analysis system was developed for rapid estimation of copper content in the secondary copper smelting process. Firstly, cross section images of secondary copper samples were captured by the designed vision system. After the preprocessing and segmenting procedures, the images were selected according to their grayscale standard deviations of pixels and percentages of edge pixels in the luminance component. The selected images were then used to extract the information of the improved color vector angles, from which the copper content estimation model was developed based on the least squares support vector regression (LSSVR) method. For comparison, three additional LSSVR models, namely, only with sample selection, only with improved color vector angle, without sample selection or improved color vector angle, were developed. In addition, two exponential models, namely, with sample selection, without sample selection, were developed. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method is more effective for improving the copper content estimation accuracy, particularly when the sample size is small. 展开更多

In order to study the effect of dietary copper level on blood and tissue copper contents in geese, one-week Sichuan white geese were randomly divided in- to four groups, and the geese in the first, second, third and fourth groups were fed with diet with copper levels of 39.55, 127.60, 194.75 and 255.22 mg/kg, respective- ly. At the ages of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks, the contents of copper in blood, liver, chest muscle and subcutaneous fat of the geese were determined. The effects of dietary copper level, age and sex on the blood and tissue copper contents of geese were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance. The results showed that the di- etary copper level showed no significant effects on the blood and liver copper con- tents of geese (P〉0.05); the chest muscle copper content of geese in the second group was significantly higher than that in the first group (P〈0.05); the subcuta- neous fat copper content of geese in the fourth group was significantly higher than those in the other three groups (P〈0.01); the age had significant effects on the blood, liver, chest muscle and subcutaneous fat copper contents of geese (P〈0.01); and the sex showed no significant effects on the blood and tissue copper contents of geese (P〉0.05). 展开更多

Alcohol-assisted low-temperature methanol synthesis was conducted over Cu/ZnO;catalysts while varying the copper content(X). Unlike conventional methanol synthesis, ethanol acted as both solvent and reaction intermediate in this reaction, creating a different reaction pathway. The formation of crystalline phases and characteristic morphology of the co-precipitated precursors during the co-precipitation step were important factors in obtaining an efficient Cu/ZnO catalyst with a high dispersion of metallic copper,which is one of the main active sites for methanol synthesis. The acidic properties of the Cu/ZnO catalyst were also revealed as important factors, since alcohol esterification is considered the rate-limiting step in alcohol-assisted low-temperature methanol synthesis. As a consequence, bifunctionality of the Cu/ZnO catalyst such as metallic copper and acidic properties was required for this reaction. In this respect, the copper content(X) strongly affected the catalytic activity of the Cu/ZnO;catalysts, and accordingly, the Cu/ZnO;.5 catalyst with a high copper dispersion and sufficient acid sites exhibited the best catalytic performance in this reaction. 展开更多

Five sets of high entropy alloys(HEAs)FeCoNiCu_(x)(x=0.5,1.0,1.5,2.0,2.5)were produced by vacuum induction smelting.The effects of Cu content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloys were interrogated by X-ray diffractometer(XRD),field scanning electron microscope(FESEM)and tensile mechanical test.The result shows that the HEAs form single FCC solid solution phase.With the increase of Cu content,the diffraction peak first deviated to the right and then shifted to the left.The alloys changed from equiaxed crystal structure to refined dendritic crystal structure,as Cu content increased.A large number of Cu atoms are isolated in the inter-crystalline region.The tensile mechanical tests show that with the increase of Cu content,the ultimate tensile strength first increased and then decreased.When x is 2.0,the ultimate tensile strength reaches a maximum of 473 MPa,the percent elongation is 43.0%,and the fracture presents ductile behaviour. 展开更多

The copper contents and its existing forms in the slags during the slag-making stage of Peirce-Smith converters in Guixi Smelter, Jiangxi Province, China have been investigated. The investigation was based on plant trials with the corresponding thermodynamic calculations and kinetic considerations. From the plant data, the total copper content in the slags was in the range of 2% to 8% (mass fraction). The mechanical entrainment of matte drops has been found to be the main cause of the copper loss. The suspension index, defined as the ratio of the mass fraction of copper in suspended matte drops in the slag to that in bulk of the matte phase, has been adopted to quantify the matte entrainment. The values of this parameter estimated in this work have been found mainly within a range of 2.5%-8.0%. The Fe3O4 content in the slag has been estimated to be the most important factor, among others, influencing the separation of slag with matte and, consequently, the copper loss from the slag. 展开更多

Metallic hollow spheres are used as base materials in the manufacture of hollow sphere structures and metallic foams. In this study, steel hollow spheres were successfully manufactured using an advanced powder metallurgy technique. The spheres' shells were characterized by optical microscopy in conjunction with microstructural image analysis software, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX), and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The microscopic evaluations revealed that the shells consist of sintered iron powder, sintered copper powder, sodium silicate, and porosity regions. In addition, the effects of copper content on various parameters such as shell defects, microcracks, thickness, and porosities were investigated. The results indicated that increasing the copper content results in decreases in the surface fraction of shell porosities and the number of microcracks and an increase in shell thickness. 展开更多

The effects of copper content on the microstructural and mechanical properties of steel foams are investigated. Spherical urea granules, used as a water-leachable space holder, were coated with a mixture of iron, ultrafine carbon, and different amounts of copper powders. After the mixture was compacted and the space holder was removed by leaching, a sintering process was performed under an atmosphere of thermally dissociated ammonia. Microstructural evaluations of the cell walls were carried out using optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy in conjunction with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. In addition, compression tests were conducted to investigate the mechanical properties of the manufactured steel foams. The results showed that the total porosity decreases from 77.2% to 71.9% with increasing copper content in the steel foams. In the foams' microstructure, copper islands are mostly distributed in pearlite and intergranular carbide phases are formed in the grain boundaries. When the copper content was increased from 0 to 4 wt%, the elastic modulus, plateau stress, fracture stress, and fracture strain of manufactured steel foams improved 4.5, 6, 6.4, and 2.5 times, respectively. 展开更多

Copper base alloy was overlaid onto 35CrMnSiA steel plate by tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding method. The heat transfer process was simulated, the microstructures of the copper base overlay were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), and the friction and abrasion properties of the overlay were measured. The results show that the Fe content increases in the overlay with increasing the welding current. And with the increase of Fe content in the overlay, the friction coefficient increases and the wear mechanism changes from oxidation wear to abrasive wear and plough wear, which is related to the size and quantity of Fe grains in the overlay. While with the increase of Fe content in the overlay, the protection of oxidation layer against the oxidation wear on the melted metal decreases. 展开更多

The effect of copper content on quench sensitivity in novel Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys containing high zinc content was investigated by Jominy end quench test.Electrical conductivity and hardness test,temperature collecting,and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)technique were adopted for the properties and microstructure characterization of three alloys with different copper contents.The results indicate that the electrical conductivity of all three alloys increases with the increase of distance from the quenched end,while the hardness shows an opposite trend.If the dropping of 10%hardness is defined as the critical evaluation standard of quenching,the depth of quenched layer of AlloysⅠ,Ⅱ,andⅢare 70,55,and 40 mm,respectively.The precipitation behavior on grain boundaries of three alloys is similar except for a little difference in size,while the size of precipitates in grains of AlloyⅢwith higher copper content is larger than those of the other two alloys at the same location.Considering all results,the stability of the supersaturated solid solution of AlloyⅢis lower than those of the other two alloys,meaning that AlloyⅢshows the highest quench sensitivity.Higher copper content leads to higher quench sensitivity in novel Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with the same content of magnesium,zinc,and other trace elements. 展开更多

利用不同氧含量(222、288、337和439 mg/kg)的∅8 mm低氧铜杆冷轧制备2.9 mm厚的薄铜条,并经500℃×10 min的退火处理,通过拉伸试验、光学显微镜、扫描电镜和能谱仪研究氧含量及退火处理对低氧铜显微组织、力学性能和断口形貌的影响... 利用不同氧含量(222、288、337和439 mg/kg)的∅8 mm低氧铜杆冷轧制备2.9 mm厚的薄铜条,并经500℃×10 min的退火处理,通过拉伸试验、光学显微镜、扫描电镜和能谱仪研究氧含量及退火处理对低氧铜显微组织、力学性能和断口形貌的影响。结果表明,冷轧后微观组织由等轴晶变为纤维组织;随氧含量增加,抗拉强度降低、显微硬度增加。退火后薄铜条中形成再结晶晶粒和孪晶,伸长率提高,抗拉强度和显微硬度降低。随着氧含量增加,退火态薄铜条的抗拉强度和伸长率下降,显微硬度的变化较小。拉伸断口分析表明,冷轧铜断口为韧性断口;随着氧含量的增加,韧窝形状变得更加不规则,大小差异增大,分布更加不均匀,断口变得更加粗糙。退火处理前后的断口形貌相似,颈缩程度较未退火处理的更大,表明塑性更好。实际生产中,氧含量控制在220~240 mg/kg区间,低氧铜杆延展性最佳。 展开更多

针对动力锂电池用硫酸镍的质量控制需求,建立了一种EDTA络合滴定与火焰原子吸收光谱(AAS)联用的分析方法,用于同时准确测定硫酸镍中主量元素镍与痕量杂质铜的含量。该方法依据HG/T 5918~5919—2021电池级硫酸镍的技术要求进行设计:一份... 针对动力锂电池用硫酸镍的质量控制需求,建立了一种EDTA络合滴定与火焰原子吸收光谱(AAS)联用的分析方法,用于同时准确测定硫酸镍中主量元素镍与痕量杂质铜的含量。该方法依据HG/T 5918~5919—2021电池级硫酸镍的技术要求进行设计:一份样品在pH=8~10的氨性缓冲体系中,以紫脲酸铵为指示剂,采用EDTA标准溶液滴定,测定质量分数大于20%的镍主含量;另一份样品经稀释后,于324.7 nm波长下采用AAS法测定质量分数低于0.0005%的铜杂质。方法学验证结果显示,镍含量测定的相对标准偏差(RSD,n=4)为0.02%~0.05%,铜含量测定RSD(n=3)为0,铜的加标回收率达101.71%。该方法操作简便、结果准确、成本低廉,与传统方法相比具有明显优势,完全满足电池级硫酸镍产品中镍(≥22.0%)与铜(≤0.0005%)的质控标准,适用于企业质量检测与高校实验教学,具有较好的推广价值。 展开更多

The effects of Ni content(0–2.1wt%)on the cast and solid-solution microstructures of Cu-0.4wt%Be alloys were investigated,and the corresponding mechanisms of influence were analyzed.The results show that the amount of precipitated phase increases in the cast alloys with increasing Ni content.When the Ni content is 0.45wt%or 0.98wt%,needle-like Be_(21)Ni_5 phases form in the grains and are mainly distributed in the interdendritic regions.When the Ni content is 1.5wt%or greater,a large number of needle-like precipitates form in the grains and chain-like Be_(21)Ni_5 and Be Ni precipitates form along the grain boundaries.The addition of Ni can substantially refine the cast and solid-solution microstructures of Cu-0.4wt%Be alloys.The hindering effects of both the dissolution of Ni into the matrix and the formation of Be–Ni precipitates on grain-boundary migration are mainly responsible for refining the cast and solid-solution microstructures of Cu-0.4wt%Be alloys.Higher Ni contents result in finer microstructures;however,given the precipitation characteristics of Be–Ni phases and their dissolution into the matrix during the solid-solution treatment,the upper limit of the Ni content is 1.5wt%–2.1wt%. 展开更多

Heating-cooling combined mold(HCCM) horizontal continuous casting technology developed by our research group was used to produce high axial columnar-grained CuN i10 FeM n1 alloy tubes with different Fe contents. The effects of Fe content(1.08wt%–2.01wt%) on the microstructure, segregation, and flushing corrosion resistance in simulated flowing seawater as well as the mechanical properties of the alloy tubes were investigated. The results show that when the Fe content is increased from 1.08wt% to 2.01wt%, the segregation degree of Ni and Fe elements increases, and the segregation coefficient of Ni and Fe elements falls from 0.92 to 0.70 and from 0.92 to 0.63, respectively. With increasing Fe content, the corrosion rate of the alloy decreases initially and then increases. When the Fe content is 1.83wt%, the corrosion rate approaches the minimum and dense, less-defect corrosion films, which contain rich Ni and Fe elements, form on the surface of the alloy; these films effectively protect the α-matrix and reduce the corrosion rate. When the Fe content is increased from 1.08wt% to 2.01wt%, the tensile strength of the alloy tube increases from 204 MPa to 236 MPa, while the elongation to failure changes slightly about 46%, indicating the excellent workability of the CuNi10FeMn1 alloy tubes. 展开更多

An experiment was carried out to determine plant growth, mineral uptake, lipid peroxidation, antioxidative enzymes, and antioxidant of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L. cv. Xintaimici) under copper stress, either ungrafted or grafted onto the rootstock (Cucurbitaficifolia). Excess Cu inhibited growth, photosynthesis, and pigment synthesis of grafted and ungrafted cucumber seedlings and significantly increased accumulation of Cu in roots besides reducing mineral uptake. Cu concentration in roots of grafted cucumber plants was significantly higher than that of ungrafted plants and obviously lower in leaves. The accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) significantly increased in cucumber leaves under Cu stress and resulted in lipid peroxidation, and the levels of ROS and lipid peroxidation were greatly decreased by grafting. Activities of protective enzymes (superoxide dismutase, SOD; peroxidase, POD; catalase, CAT; ascorbate peroxidase, APX; dehydroascorbate reductase, DHAR; glutathione reductase, GR) and the contents of ascorbate and glutathione in leaves of grafted plants were significantly higher than those of ungrafted plants under Cu stress. Better performance of grafted cucumber plants were attributed to the higher ability of Cu accumulation in their roots, better nutrient status, and the effective scavenging system of ROS. 展开更多

为了解四川某铜矿深部高锌铜硫多金属矿石的可选性,以深部代表性岩芯样为对象,在工艺矿物学研究基础上进行了选矿试验研究。结果表明:①矿石Zn、Cu和S品位分别为2.62%、2.02%、16.34%,主要有价矿物磁黄铁矿、黄铜矿和铁闪锌矿含量分别为... 为了解四川某铜矿深部高锌铜硫多金属矿石的可选性,以深部代表性岩芯样为对象,在工艺矿物学研究基础上进行了选矿试验研究。结果表明:①矿石Zn、Cu和S品位分别为2.62%、2.02%、16.34%,主要有价矿物磁黄铁矿、黄铜矿和铁闪锌矿含量分别为35.48%、5.29%、4.06%,脉石矿物主要为石英、绿泥石、钠长石、钾长石等。磁黄铁矿呈半自形粒状、粒状及不规则状,大小0.05~2.00 mm;黄铜矿呈叶片状、粒状、针状及不规则状,大小0.01~3.00 mm;铁闪锌矿呈半自形粒状、粒状、针状及不规则状,大小0.01~1.50 mm,主要目标矿物单体解离相对容易,当矿样碎至-2 mm的情况下,这些金属矿物大多呈单体形式存在,仅少部分与脉石矿物连生或被脉石矿物包裹。②矿石在磨矿细度为-0.074 mm占60%的情况下,采用1粗2精3扫流程浮铜、1粗3精3扫流程浮锌、1粗2精3扫流程浮硫闭路流程处理,可获得铜品位21.20%、铜回收率90.80%的铜精矿,锌品位37.74%、锌回收率77.23%的锌精矿,硫品位39.15%、硫回收率47.33%的硫精矿,分别满足三级铜精矿、近四级锌精矿和二级硫精矿质量指标要求,尾矿铜锌品位非常低,浮选效果良好,试验结果可作为现场工艺优化调整的依据。 展开更多
