Mobile edge computing(MEC) deployment in a multi-robot cooperation(MRC) system is an effective way to accomplish the tasks in terms of energy consumption and implementation latency. However, the computation and communication resources need to be considered jointly to fully exploit the advantages brought by the MEC technology. In this paper, the scenario where multi robots cooperate to accomplish the time-critical tasks is studied, where an intelligent master robot(MR) acts as an edge server to provide services to multiple slave robots(SRs) and the SRs are responsible for the environment sensing and data collection. To save energy and prolong the function time of the system, two schemes are proposed to optimize the computation and communication resources, respectively. In the first scheme, the energy consumption of SRs is minimized and balanced while guaranteeing that the tasks are accomplished under a time constraint. In the second scheme, not only the energy consumption, but also the remaining energies of the SRs are considered to enhance the robustness of the system. Through the analysis and numerical simulations, we demonstrate that even though the first policy may guarantee the minimization on the total SRs’ energy consumption, the function time of MRC system by the second scheme is longer than that by the first one. 展开更多

Since the 1990 s, GPGs have become one of the questions arousing general concern in the international political and economic relations. It has its unique characteristics different from the public goods domestically supplied in any country in terms of organizational form,incentive mechanisms, implementation means and other aspects. The theory and policy proposal on GPGs mostly reflect the requirements of developing countries to seek an external environment favorable to their stable development, thus it is absolutely necessary to establish an efficient mechanism to supply GPGs for the countries of the world, especially for the developing ones to realize the national benefit and mutual development. The most efficient approach to resolve the problem of supplying GPGs is international cooperation, which raises critical requests on the design of an efficient and reasonable cooperative system. Following the principals of international cooperation system, China must choose an optimal route for supply of GPGs, which conforms to its own interests, by starting from the supply of the regional public goods and in accordance with its own economic development and financial capacity. 展开更多

This study investigates the current status,challenges,and strategies for enhancing international cooperation and exchange at Jiangxi University of Technology.Through in-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys,the research identifies key issues such as low participation rates,lack of funding,insufficient publicity,and the need for a more robust international faculty team.The findings reveal significant challenges in policy implementation,resource allocation,and faculty development.To address these challenges,the study proposes a series of countermeasures,including the formulation of a comprehensive internationalization strategy,enhanced publicity and promotion of international projects,increased financial support,and the development of an internationalized faculty and management team.The study concludes that implementing these strategies can enhance the university’s internationalization efforts and improve its overall capacity for international cooperation and exchange. 展开更多

Aimed at the doubly near-far problems in a large range suffered by the remote user group and in a small range existing in both nearby and remote user groups during energy harvesting and computation offloading,a resource allocation method for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-assisted and user cooperation non-linear energy harvesting mobile edge computing(MEC)system is proposed.The UAV equipped with an MEC server is introduced to provide energy and computing services for the remote user group to alleviate the doubly near-far problem in a large range suffered by the remote user group.The doubly near-far problem in a small range existing in both nearby and remote user groups is mitigated by user cooperation.The specific user cooperation strategy is that the user near the base station or the UAV is used as a relay to transfer the computing task of the user far from the base station or the UAV to the MEC server for computing.By jointly optimizing users’offloading time,users’transmitting power,and the hovering position of the UAV,the resource allocation problem is modeled as a nonlinear programming problem with the objective of maximizing computation efficiency.The suboptimal solution is obtained by adopting the differential evolution algorithm.Simulation results show that,compared with the resource allocation method based on genetic algorithm and the without user cooperation method,the proposed method has higher computation efficiency. 展开更多

The advent of sixth-generation(6G)networks introduces unprecedented challenges in achieving seamless connectivity,ultra-low latency,and efficient resource management in highly dynamic environments.Although fifth-generation(5G)networks transformed mobile broadband and machine-type communications at massive scales,their properties of scaling,interference management,and latency remain a limitation in dense high mobility settings.To overcome these limitations,artificial intelligence(AI)and unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have emerged as potential solutions to develop versatile,dynamic,and energy-efficient communication systems.The study proposes an AI-based UAV architecture that utilizes cooperative reinforcement learning(CoRL)to manage an autonomous network.The UAVs collaborate by sharing local observations and real-time state exchanges to optimize user connectivity,movement directions,allocate power,and resource distribution.Unlike conventional centralized or autonomous methods,CoRL involves joint state sharing and conflict-sensitive reward shaping,which ensures fair coverage,less interference,and enhanced adaptability in a dynamic urban environment.Simulations conducted in smart city scenarios with 10 UAVs and 50 ground users demonstrate that the proposed CoRL-based UAV system increases user coverage by up to 10%,achieves convergence 40%faster,and reduces latency and energy consumption by 30%compared with centralized and decentralized baselines.Furthermore,the distributed nature of the algorithm ensures scalability and flexibility,making it well-suited for future large-scale 6G deployments.The results highlighted that AI-enabled UAV systems enhance connectivity,support ultra-reliable low-latency communications(URLLC),and improve 6G network efficiency.Future work will extend the framework with adaptive modulation,beamforming-aware positioning,and real-world testbed deployment. 展开更多

Then, the importance and the restriction of each agent are cOnsidered, to obtain an order of simple scheduling problems based on the cooperation game theory. With this order, the scheduling of sub-questions is implemented in term of rules, and the almost optimal scheduling results for meeting the restriction can be obtained. For the circumstance of those ESs with relatively closer views, we present in this paper three methods of consistency treatment and a method for calcula- ting the maximal deviation of the confidence value about the cooperating group's common view based on the consistency degree of those different views. For the circumstance of those views being not very close to each other and also not very different from each other, we designed two synthesis functions for synthesizing multiple views. These two circumstances are formally defined in this paper. A comparison be- tween these two functions and the combining function in is also demonstrated. Concerning the optimal control problem of such subsystems, a neighbor-based distributed model predictive control(NDMPC) strategy is presented to improve the global system performance. In this scheme, the performance index of local subsystems and that of its neighbors are minimized together in the determination of the optimal control input, which makes the local control decision also beneficial to its neighboring subsystems and further contributes to improving the convergence and control performance of overall system.The stability of the closed-loop system is proved. Moreover, the parameter designing method for distributed synthesis is provided.Finally, the simulation results illustrate the main characteristics and effectiveness of the proposed control scheme. 展开更多

Cloud computing has taken over the high-performance distributed computing area,and it currently provides on-demand services and resource polling over the web.As a result of constantly changing user service demand,the task scheduling problem has emerged as a critical analytical topic in cloud computing.The primary goal of scheduling tasks is to distribute tasks to available processors to construct the shortest possible schedule without breaching precedence restrictions.Assignments and schedules of tasks substantially influence system operation in a heterogeneous multiprocessor system.The diverse processes inside the heuristic-based task scheduling method will result in varying makespan in the heterogeneous computing system.As a result,an intelligent scheduling algorithm should efficiently determine the priority of every subtask based on the resources necessary to lower the makespan.This research introduced a novel efficient scheduling task method in cloud computing systems based on the cooperation search algorithm to tackle an essential task and schedule a heterogeneous cloud computing problem.The basic idea of thismethod is to use the advantages of meta-heuristic algorithms to get the optimal solution.We assess our algorithm’s performance by running it through three scenarios with varying numbers of tasks.The findings demonstrate that the suggested technique beats existingmethods NewGenetic Algorithm(NGA),Genetic Algorithm(GA),Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),Gravitational Search Algorithm(GSA),and Hybrid Heuristic and Genetic(HHG)by 7.9%,2.1%,8.8%,7.7%,3.4%respectively according to makespan. 展开更多

In this paper, a new kind of simple-encoding irregular systematic LDPC codes suitable for one-relay coded cooperation is designed, where the proposed joint iterative decoding is effectively performed in the destination which is in accordance with the corresponding joint Tanner graph characterizing two different component LDPC codes used by the source and relay in ideal and non-ideal relay cooperations. The theoretical analysis and simulations show that the coded cooperation scheme obviously outperforms the coded non-cooperation one under the same code rate and decoding complex. The significant performance improvement can be virtually credited to the additional mutual exchange of the extrinsic information resulted by the LDPC code employed by the source and its counterpart used by the relay in both ideal and non-ideal cooperations. 展开更多

BACKGROUND In the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries(GCCCs),Bahrain,Saudi Arabia,Kuwait,Oman,Qatar and the United Arab Emirates,breast cancer(BC)is the greatest cause of cancer incidence and mortality.Obesity and physical inactivity are established risk factors for BC globally and appear to be more of a problem in high income countries like the GCCCs.AIM To determine whether obesity and physical inactivity are associated with BC incidence in the GCCCs using the United Kingdom as a comparator.METHODS This systematic review was carried out according to PRISMA guidelines.A cancer registry and a statistical data search was done to identify the BC incidence over the past two decades and the prevalence of obesity and physical inactivity in the GCCCs.Additionally,a systematic search of the databases,MEDLINE,Web of Science,and PubMed between 1999 and 2019 was performed to determine whether obesity and physical inactivity are risk factors for BC in the GCCCs.All papers were critically appraised according to their research methods and were assessed for quality and risk of bias.RESULTS BC was the top malignancy in each GCC country.Women tended to be diagnosed with BC at a younger age than women in the United Kingdom.The greatest 10-year increase in BC incidence was seen in Saudi Arabia(54.2%),,approximately seven times the rate of increase seen in the United Kingdom(7.6%).The prevalence of obesity and physical inactivity was greater in all the GCCCs in comparison to the United Kingdom.A total of 155 full studies were reviewed of which 17 were included.Of those,eight looked at the prevalence of obesity and physical inactivity in the Gulf States and nine looked at these as risk factors for BC.Only one study found an association between BC and obesity(odds ratio=2.29).No studies looked solely at the link between physical inactivity and BC.CONCLUSION The prevalence of obesity and physical inactivity was high within the GCCCs,but the majority of the included studies found no positive correlation between obesity or physical inactivity and BC.A high proportion of women in this study were pre-menopausal which could contribute to the negative findings. 展开更多
