This research paper tackles the complexities of achieving global fuzzy consensus in leader-follower systems in robotic systems,focusing on robust control systems against an advanced signal attack that integrates sensor and actuator disturbances within the dynamics of follower robots.Each follower robot has unknown dynamics and control inputs,which expose it to the risks of both sensor and actuator attacks.The leader robot,described by a secondorder,time-varying nonlinear model,transmits its position,velocity,and acceleration information to follower robots through a wireless connection.To handle the complex setup and communication among robots in the network,we design a robust hybrid distributed adaptive control strategy combining the effect of sensor and actuator attack,which ensures asymptotic consensus,extending beyond conventional bounded consensus results.The proposed framework employs fuzzy logic systems(FLSs)as proactive controllers to estimate unknown nonlinear behaviors,while also effectively managing sensor and actuator attacks,ensuring stable consensus among all agents.To counter the impact of the combined signal attack on follower dynamics,a specialized robust control mechanism is designed,sustaining system stability and performance under adversarial conditions.The efficiency of this control strategy is demonstrated through simulations conducted across two different directed communication topologies,underscoring the protocol’s adaptability,resilience,and effectiveness in maintaining global consensus under complex attack scenarios. 展开更多

This paper investigates the problem of finite frequency fuzzy H_∞ control for uncertain active vehicle suspension systems, in which sensor failure is taken into account. TakagiSugeno(T-S) fuzzy model is established for considered suspension systems. In order to describe the sensor fault effectively, a corresponding model is introduced. A vital performance index,H_∞ performance, is utilized to measure the drive comfort. In the framework of Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov theory, the H_∞ norm from external perturbation to controlled output is optimized effectively in the frequency domain of 4 Hz-8 Hz to enhance ride comfort level. Meanwhile, three suspension constrained requirements, i.e., ride comfort level, manipulation stability,suspension deflection are also guaranteed. Furthermore, sufficient conditions are developed to design a fuzzy controller to guarantee the desired performance of active suspension systems. Finally, the proposed control scheme is applied to a quarter-vehicle active suspension, and simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

Because the character of wireless sensor networks is restrictive energy, this paper proposes a distributed power control algorithm based on game theory for wireless sensor networks which objects of which are reducing power consumption and decreasing overhead and increasing network lifetime. The game theory and OPNET simulation shows that the power control algorithm converges to a Nash Equilibrium when decisions are updated according to a better response dynamic. 展开更多

A covariance control approach, which selects sensor combinations or subset based on the difference between the desired covariance matrix and the actual covariance of each target, is used for sensor management, including some matrix metrics to measure the differentia between two covariance matrices. Besides, to meet the requirements of the space based warning system, the original covariance control approach is improved. Simulation results demonstrate that the covariance control approach is able to provide a better tracking performance by providing a well-designed desired covariance and balance tracking performance goals with system demands. 展开更多

Hence, it is necessary to reduce energy consumption. Both the transmission power of nodes and the interference among nodes influence energy consumption. In this paper, we design a power control and channel allocation game model with low energy consumption (PCCAGM). This model contains transmission power, node interference, and residual energy. Besides, the interaction between power and channel is considered. The Nash equilibrium has been proved to exist. Based on this model, a power control and channel allocation optimization algorithm with low energy consumption (PCCAA) is proposed. Theoretical analysis shows that PCCAA can converge to the Pareto Optimal. Simulation results demonstrate that this algorithm can reduce transmission power and interference effectively. Therefore, this algorithm can reduce energy consumption and prolong the network lifetime. 展开更多

This work proposes to design a fuzzy proportional-integral derivative (FPID) controller for dual-sensor cardiac pacemaker systems, which can automatically control the heart rate to accurately track a desired preset profile. The combination of fuzzy logic and conventional PID control approaches is adopted for the controller design based on dual-sensors. This controller offers good adaptation of the heart rate to the physiological needs of the patient under different states (rest and walk). Through comparing with the conventional fuzzy control algorithm, FPID provides a more suitable control strategy to determine a pacing rate in order to achieve a closer match between actual heart rate and a desired profile. To assist the heartbeat recovery, the stimuli with adjustable pacing rate is generated by the pacemaker according to the FPID controller, such actual heart rate may track the preset heart rate faithfully. Simulation results confirm that this proposed control design is effective for heartbeat recovery and maintenance. This study will be helpful not only for the analysis and treatment of bradycardias but also for improving the performance of medical devices. 展开更多

Resolvers are normally employed for rotor positioning in motors for electric vehicles, but resolvers are expensive and vulnerable to vibrations. Hall sensors have the advantages of low cost and high reliability, but the positioning accuracy is low. Motors with Hall sensors are typically controlled by six-step commutation algorithm, which brings high torque ripple. This paper studies the high-performance driving and braking control of the in-wheel permanent magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM) based on low-resolution Hall sensors. Field oriented control (FOC) based on Hall-effect sensors is developed to reduce the torque ripple. The positioning accuracy of the Hall sensors is improved by interpolation between two consecutive Hall signals using the estimated motor speed. The position error from the misalignment of the Hall sensors is compensated by the precise calibration of Hall transition timing. The braking control algorithms based on six-step commutation and FOC are studied. Two variants of the six-step commutation braking control, namely, half-bridge commutation and full-bridge commutation, are discussed and compared, which shows that the full-bridge commutation could better explore the potential of the back electro-motive forces (EMF), thus can deliver higher efficiency and smaller current ripple. The FOC braking is analyzed with the phasor diagrams. At a given motor speed, the motor turns from the regenerative braking mode into the plug braking mode if the braking torque exceeds a certain limit, which is proportional to the motor speed. Tests in the dynamometer show that a smooth control could be realized by FOC driving control and the highest efficiency and the smallest current ripple could be achieved by FOC braking control, compared to six-step commutation braking control. Therefore, FOC braking is selected as the braking control algorithm for electric vehicles. The proposed research ensures a good motor control performance while maintaining low cost and high reliability. 展开更多

To minimize the energy loss in dense WSNs a Color Based Topology Control (CBTC) algorithm is introduced and implemented in Visual Studio 6.0. The results are compared with Traditional dense WSNs. In the evaluation process it was observed that the numbers of CPU ticks required in traditional WSNs are much more than that’s of CBTC Algorithm, both in Normal and Random deployments. So by using CBTC, delay in network can be minimized. Using CBTC algorithm, the energy conservation and removal of coverage holes was also achieved in the present study. 展开更多

In order to perform an optical assembly accurately, a multi-sensor control strategy is developed which includes an attitude measurement system, a vision system, a loss measurement system and a force sensor. A 3-DOF attitude measuring method using linear variable differential transformers (LVDT) is designed to adjust the relation of position and attitude between the spher- ical mirror and the resonator. A micro vision feedback system is set up to extract the light beam and the diaphragm, which can achieve the coarse positioning of the spherical mirror in the optical assembly process. A rapid self-correlation method is presented to analyze the spectrum signal for the fine positioning. In order to prevent the damage of the optical components and realize sealing of the resonator, a hybrid force-position control is constructed to control the contact force of the optical components. The experimental results show that the proposed multi-sensor control strategy succeeds in accomplishing the precise assembly of the optical components, which consists of parallel adjustment, macro coarse adjustment, macro approach, micro fine adjustment, micro approach and optical contact. The algorithm we developed mimics the mechanisms of the endocrine and immune systems. The endocrine system transmits information entirely, whereas the immune system transmits information with a concentration gradient. A lighting control system using the proposed algorithm was evaluated in a simulation and experiment using a sensor agent robot. In this algorithm, a robot recognizes a person’s behavior and uses it to decide his or her preference as to the illuminance. In this way, the difficulty caused by measuring indirectly weld nugget size can be decreased in spot welding quality control, and the stability of spot welding quality can be improved. According to this method, two-dimensional fuzzy controllers are designed with the information fusion result as input and the thyristor control signal as output. The spot welding experimental results indicate that the spot welding quality intelligent control method based on multiscnsor information fusion technology can compensate the influence caused by variable factors in welding process and ensure the stability of welding quality. 展开更多

Theoretical analysis shows that the medium access control mechanism obviously reduces the density of infected nodes in the networks, which has been ignored in previous studies. It is also found that by increasing the network node density or node communication radius greatly increases the number of infected nodes. In monitoring Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs),the traffic usually has bursty characteristics when an event occurs.Transient congestion would increase delay and packet loss rate severely,which greatly reduces network performance.To solve this problem,we propose a Burstiness-aware Congestion Control Protocol(BCCP) for wireless sensor networks.In BCCP,the backoff delay is adopted as a congestion indication.Normally,sensor nodes work on contention-based MAC protocol(such as CSMA/CA).However,when congestion occurs,localized TDMA instead of CSMA/CA is embedded into the nodes around the congestion area.Thus,the congestion nodes only deliver their data during their assigned slots to alleviate the contention-caused congestion.Finally,we implement BCCP in our sensor network testbed.The experiment results show that BCCP could detect area congestion in time,and improve the network performance significantly in terms of delay and packet loss rate. 展开更多

One kind of the SAW seam tracking system with contactless ultrasonic sensor is presented in this paper. The new contactless ultrasonic sensor for seam tracking and the working principle of the seam tracking with the sensor are introduced. Based on the experiments, the optimal values of the fuzzy control parameters α and k 3 are defined by means of the off line adjusting method. Because the self tuning fuzzy control is adopted in the seam tracking system, the overshoot of the system is restrained, the steady state error is reduced, and the system's response speed is improved effectively. The results of the SAW seam tracking experiments show that this system's tracking accuracy is up to ±0.5 mm and the system can satisfy the requirements of the engineering application. 展开更多

In this paper, we put forward a minimum-energy path-preserving topology control (MPTC) algorithm based on a concept of none k-redundant edges. MPTC not only resolves the problem of excessive energy consumption because of the unclosed region in small minimum-energy communication network (SMECN), but also preserves at least one minimum-energy path between every pair of nodes in a wireless sensor network. We also propose an energy-efficient reconfiguration protocol that maintains the minimum-energy path property in the case where the network topology changes dynamically.
