The design and development of a coal mine intelligent dual-control integrated system including safety risk standard library, hidden danger investigation standard library, behavior control standard library, hazard source management and safety production standardization score and other functions. At present, the distributed and cross-regional "dual control" mechanism information platform system developed and deployed by the group company has been officially put into operation. Recently,unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-aided free-space optical(FSO)communication has attracted widespread attentions.However,most of the existing research focuses on communication performance only.The authors investigate the integrated scheduling of communication,sensing,and control for UAV-aided FSO communication systems.Initially,a sensing-control model is established via the control theory.Moreover,an FSO communication channel model is established by considering the effects of atmospheric loss,atmospheric turbulence,geometrical loss,and angle-of-arrival fluctuation.Then,the relationship between the motion control of the UAV and radial displacement is obtained to link the control aspect and communication aspect.Assuming that the base station has instantaneous channel state information(CSI)or statistical CSI,the thresholds of the sensing-control pattern activation are designed,respectively.Finally,an integrated scheduling scheme for performing communication,sensing,and control is proposed.Numerical results indicate that,compared with conventional time-triggered scheme,the proposed integrated scheduling scheme obtains comparable communication and control performance,but reduces the sensing consumed power by 52.46%. 展开更多

Climate change is accelerating globally,raising significant concerns regarding the environmental risks associated with combined sewer overflows(CSOs).These rainfall events lead to the excessive discharge of multiple pollutants into natural waters.However,greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions from CSOs,which are crucial for carbon neutrality in urban water systems,remain fragmented.Using the life-cycle assess-ment method expansion approach,this study breaks down the formation and discharge processes of CSOs and uncovers the underlying mechanisms driving GHG emissions during each period.Given the complex-ity and uncertainty in the spatial distribution of GHG emissions from CSOs,the development of standard monitoring and estimation methods is vital.This study identifies the factors influencing GHG emissions within the urban drainage system(UDS)and defines the interactive GHG emission boundaries and accounting framework related to CSOs.This framework is expanded to consider the hybrid nature of urban engineering and hydraulic interactions during the CSO events.Advanced modeling technologies have emerged as essential tools for predicting and managing GHG emissions from CSOs.This review pro-motes comprehensive data-driven methods for predicting GHG emissions from CSOs,fully considering the inherent heterogeneity of CSOs and the impact of multi-source contaminants discharged into aquatic environments.It emphasizes refining emission boundary definitions,novel accounting practices adapting data-driven methods,and comprehensive management strategies in line with the move toward carbon neutrality in the UDS.It advocates the adoption of solutions including advanced technologies and artifi-cial intelligent methods to mitigate CSO-related GHG emissions,stressing the significance of integrating low-carbon solutions and a comprehensive data-driven management framework in future research directions. 展开更多

This paper presents an innovative and effective control strategy tailored for a deregulated,diversified energy system involving multiple interconnected area.Each area integrates a unique mix of power generation technologies:Area 1 combines thermal,hydro,and distributed generation;Area 2 utilizes a blend of thermal units,distributed solar technologies(DST),and hydro power;andThird control area hosts geothermal power station alongside thermal power generation unit and hydropower units.The suggested control system employs a multi-layered approach,featuring a blended methodology utilizing the Tilted Integral Derivative controller(TID)and the Fractional-Order Integral method to enhance performance and stability.The parameters of this hybrid TID-FOI controller are finely tuned using an advanced optimization method known as the Walrus Optimization Algorithm(WaOA).Performance analysis reveals that the combined TID-FOI controller significantly outperforms the TID and PID controllers when comparing their dynamic response across various system configurations.The study also incorporates investigation of redox flow batteries within the broader scope of energy storage applications to assess their impact on system performance.In addition,the research explores the controller’s effectiveness under different power exchange scenarios in a deregulated market,accounting for restrictions on generation ramp rates and governor hysteresis effects in dynamic control.To ensure the reliability and resilience of the presented methodology,the system transitions and develops across a broad range of varying parameters and stochastic load fluctuation.To wrap up,the study offers a pioneering control approach-a hybrid TID-FOI controller optimized via the Walrus Optimization Algorithm(WaOA)-designed for enhanced stability and performance in a complex,three-region hybrid energy system functioning within a deregulated framework. 展开更多

An enhanced least mean square(LMS)error identification algorithm integrated with Kalman filtering is proposed to resolve accuracy degradation induced by nonlinear dynamics and parameter uncertainties in continuous rotary electro-hydraulic servo systems.This enhancement accelerates convergence and improves accuracy compared with traditional LMS.A fifth-order identification mod-el is developed based on valve-controlled hydraulic motors,with parameters identified using Kalman filter state estimation and gradient smoothing.The results indicate that the improved LMS effectively enhances parameter identification.An advanced disturbance rejection controller(ADRC)is de-signed,and its performance is compared with an optimal proportional integral derivative(PID)con-troller through Simulink simulations.The results show that the ADRC fulfills the control specifications and expands the system’s operational bandwidth. 展开更多

This study investigates the Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT)control method of offshore windphotovoltaic hybrid power generation system with offshore crane-assisted.A new algorithm of Global Fast Integral Sliding Mode Control(GFISMC)is proposed based on the tip speed ratio method and sliding mode control.The algorithm uses fast integral sliding mode surface and fuzzy fast switching control items to ensure that the offshore wind power generation system can track the maximum power point quickly and with low jitter.An offshore wind power generation system model is presented to verify the algorithm effect.An offshore off-grid wind-solar hybrid power generation systemis built in MATLAB/Simulink.Compared with other MPPT algorithms,this study has specific quantitative improvements in terms of convergence speed,tracking accuracy or computational efficiency.Finally,the improved algorithm is further analyzed and carried out by using Yuankuan Energy’s ModelingTech semi-physical simulation platform.The results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the improved algorithm in the offshore wind-solar hybrid power generation system. 展开更多

The integrated power and attitude control for a bias momentum attitudecontrol system is investigated. A pair of counter-spinning wheels is used to provide the biasangular momentum and store/ discharge energy for power requirement of the devices on the spacecraft.The roll/yaw motion is controlled by pitch magnetic dipole moment. The torque-based control law ofthe wheels is designed, so that the desired pitch control torque is provided and the operation ofcharging/discharging energy is carried out based on the given power. System singularity in thecontrol law of wheels is fully avoided by keeping the wheels counter-spinning. A power managementscheme using kinetic energy feedback is proposed to keep energy balance, which can avoid wheelsaturation caused by superfluous energy. The minimum moment of inertia of the wheels is limited bythe maximum bias angular momentum and the minimum energy, such constrains are analyzed incombination with the geometrical method. Numerical simulation results are presented to demonstratethe effectiveness of the control scheme. 展开更多

Based on the two-dimensional (2D) system theory, an integrated predictive iterative learning control (2D-IPILC) strategy for batch processes is presented. First, the output response and the error transition model predictions along the batch index can be calculated analytically due to the 2D Roesser model of the batch process. Then, an integrated framework of combining iterative learning control (ILC) and model predictive control (MPC) is formed reasonably. The output of feedforward ILC is estimated on the basis of the predefined process 2D model. By min- imizing a quadratic objective function, the feedback MPC is introduced to obtain better control performance for tracking problem of batch processes. Simulations on a typical batch reactor demonstrate that the satisfactory tracking performance as well as faster convergence speed can be achieved than traditional proportion type (P- t-we) ILC despite the model error and disturbances. 展开更多

Advanced driver assistance systems(ADAS) seek to provide drivers and passengers of automotive vehicles increased safety and comfort. Original equipment manufacturers are integrating and developing systems for distance keeping, lane keeping and changing and other functionalities. The modern automobile is a complex system of systems. How the functionalities of advanced driver assistance are implemented and coordinated across the systems of the vehicle is generally not made available to the wider research community by the developers and manufactures. This paper seeks to begin filling this gap by assembling open source physics models of the vehicle dynamics and ADAS command models. Additionally, in order to facilitate ADAS development and testing without having access to the details of ADAS, a coordinated control architecture for motion management is also proposed for distributing ADAS motion control commands over vehicle systems. The architecture is demonstrated in a case study where motion is coordinated between the steering and the braking systems, which are typically used only for a single functionality. The integrated vehicle and system dynamics using the coordinated control architecture are simulated for various driving tasks. It is seen that improved trajectory following can be achieved by the proposed coordinated control architecture. The models, simulations and control architecture are made available for open access. 展开更多

Chattering phenomenon and singularity are still the main problems that hinder the practical application of sliding mode control. In this paper, a fixed time integral sliding mode controller is designed based on fixed time stability theory, which ensures precise convergence of the state variables of controlled system, and overcomes the drawback of convergence time growing unboundedly as the initial value increases in finite time controller. It makes the controlled system converge to the control objective within a fixed time bounded by a constant as the initial value grows, and convergence time can be changed by adjusting parameters of controllers properly. Compared with other fixed time controllers, the fixed time integral sliding mode controller proposed in this paper achieves chattering-free control, and integral expression is used to avoid singularity generated by derivation. Finally, the controller is used to stabilize four-order chaotic power system. The results demonstrate that the controller realizes the non-singular chattering-free control of chaotic oscillation in the power system and guarantees the fixed time convergence of state variables, which shows its higher superiority than other finite time controllers. 展开更多

Nowadays, a highly integrated valve?controlled cylinder(HIVC) is applied to drive the joints of legged robots. Although the adoption of HIVC has resulted in high?performance robot control, the hydraulic force system still has problems, such as strong nonlinearity, and time?varying parameters. This makes HIVC force control very diffcult and complex. How to improve the control performance of the HIVC force control system and find the influence rule of the system parameters on the control performance is very significant. Firstly, the mathematical model of HIVC force control system is established. Then the mathematical expression for parameter sensitivity matrix is obtained by applying matrix sensitivity analysis(PSM). Then, aimed at the sinusoidal response under(three factors and three levels) working conditions, the simulation and the experiment are conducted. While the error between the simulation and experiment can’t be avoided. Therefore, combined with the range analysis, the error in the two performance indexes of sinusoidal response under the whole working condition is analyzed. Besides, the sensitivity variation pattern for each system parameter under the whole working condition is figured out. Then the two sensitivity indexes for the three system parameters, which are supply pressure, proportional gain and initial displacement of piston, are proved experimentally. The proposed method significantly reveals the sensitivity characteristics of HIVC force control system, which can make the contribution to improve the control performance. 展开更多

Consequently the virtual experimental platform for the multi-disciplinary co-simulation was established. A co-simulation study of the mechanical-hydraulic-control coupling system of the ITER tractor was carried out. The synchronization servo control of parallel hydraulic cylinders was implemented, and the tracking control of the preconcerted trajectory of the hydraulic cylinders was realized on the established experimental platform. This paper presents the optimization design and technology rebuilding for the complicated coupling system with its theoretic foundation and co-simulation virtual experimental platform. 展开更多

An integral controller is introduced to avoid the assumptionthat the derivative of desired signal must be known in conventional sliding mode variable structurecontrol, a nonlinear derivation controller is used to weaken the chattering of system. The designmethod of switching function in integral sliding mode control, nonlinear derivation coefficient andcontrollers of DI-SVSC is presented respectively. In order to evaluate the performance of semi-active cab’s hydraulic mounts(SHM)of the off-road vibratory roller with the optimal fuzzy-PID(proportional integral derivative)control,a nonlinear dynamic model of the vehicle interacting with off-road terrains is established based on Matlab/Simulink software.The weighted root-mean-square(RMS)acceleration responses of the driver’s seat heave and the cab’s pitch angle are chosen as objective functions.The SHM is then optimized and analyzed via the optimal fuzzy-PID control under different operation conditions.The simulations results show that the driver’s ride comfort and the cab shaking are greatly affected by the off-road terrains under various operating conditions of the vehicle,especially at the speed from 8 to 12 km/h on a very poor terrain surface of Grenville soil ground under the vehicle travelling.With SHM using the optimal fuzzy-PID control,the driver’s ride comfort and the cab shaking are clearly improved under various operation conditions of the vehicle,particularly at the speed from 6 to 7 km/h of the vehicle traveling. 展开更多

Nowadays,quadcopters are presented in many life applications which require the performance of automatic takeoff,trajectory tracking,and automatic landing.Thus,researchers are aiming to enhance the performance of these vehicles through low-cost sensing solutions and the design of executable and robust control techniques.Due to high nonlinearities,strong couplings and under-actuation,the control design process of a quadcopter is a rather challenging task.Therefore,the main objective of this work is demonstrated through two main aspects.The first is the design of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)controller to develop the attitude and altitude of a quadcopter.The second is to create a systematic framework for implementing flight controllers in embedded systems.A suitable model of the quadcopter is also developed by taking into account aerodynamics effects.To show the effectiveness of the ANFIS approach,the performance of a well-trained ANFIS controller is compared to a classical proportional-derivative(PD)controller and a properly tuned fuzzy logic controller.The controllers are compared and tested under several different flight conditions including the capability to reject external disturbances.In the first stage,performance evaluation takes place in a nonlinear simulation environment.Then,the ANFIS-based controllers alongside attitude and position estimators,and precision landing algorithms are implemented for executions in a real-time autopilot.In precision landing systems,an IR-camera is used to detect an IR-beacon on the ground for precise positioning.Several flight tests of a quadcopter are conducted for results validation.Both simulations and experiments demonstrated superior results for quadcopter stability in different flight scenarios. 展开更多

The existing research of the integrated power and attitude control system(IPACS) in satellites mainly focuses on the IPACS concept,which aims at solving the coupled problem between the attitude control and power tracking.In the IPACS,the configuration design of IPACS is usually not considered,and the coupled problem between two flywheels during the attitude control and energy storage has not been resolved.In this paper,an integrated power and single axis attitude control system using two counter rotating magnetically suspended flywheels mounted to an air table is designed.The control method of power and attitude control using flywheel is investigated and the coupling problem between energy storage and attitude control is resolved.A computer simulation of an integrated power and single axis attitude control system with two flywheels is performed,which consists of two counter rotating magnetically suspended flywheels mounted to an air rotary table.Both DC bus and a single axis attitude are the regulation goals.An attitude & DC bus coordinator is put forward to separate DC bus regulation and attitude control problems.The simulation results of DC bus regulation and attitude control are presented respectively with a DC bus regulator and a simple PD attitude controller.The simulation results demonstrate that it is possible to integrate power and attitude control simultaneously for satellite using flywheels.The proposed research provides theory basis for design of the IPACS. 展开更多
