A study on roll gap profile (strip profile) control was accomplished in a1700 mm single-stand temper mill. Some critical problems such as the deviation of work roll contourcaused by grinding and wear, the effectiveness of work roll bending were discussed. Using a finiteelement model, the effects of roll contours (ground and wear) on strip profile were investigated.The roll bending effect on strip thickness was also analyzed. It is pointed out that there are somespecial features of flatness control in the temper mill: during temper rolling, roll deformation isslight due to small rolling load, and the loaded roll gap profile mainly depends on work rollcontour, while the backup roll has a little effect on gap crown; the effect of bending force ongauge can not be ignored due to the coupling between flatness control and gauge control. A new rollcontour arrangement adaptable to the mill was presented and has been put into practical production.The application of the new set of rolls showed some good results: larger crown control range of workroll bender, higher rolling stability, better strip profile and flatness quality. 展开更多

A contour shape descriptor based on discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and a K-means al- gorithm modified self-organizing feature map (SOFM) neural network are established for shape clus- tering. The given shape is first sampled uniformly in the polar coordinate. Then the discrete series is transformed to frequency domain and constructed to a shape characteristics vector. Firstly, sample set is roughly clustered using SOFM neural network to reduce the scale of samples. K-means algo- rithm is then applied to improve the performance of SOFM neural network and process the accurate clustering. K-means algorithm also increases the controllability of the clustering. The K-means algo- rithm modified SOFM neural network is used to cluster the shape characteristics vectors which is previously constructed. With leaf shapes as an example, the simulation results show that this method is effective to cluster the contour shapes. 展开更多

Segmenting the lesion regions from the ultrasound (US) images is an important step in the intra-operative planning of some computer-aided therapies. High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), as a popular computer-aided therapy, has been widely used in the treatment of uterine fibroids. However, such segmentation in HIFU remains challenge for two reasons: (1) the blurry or missing boundaries of lesion regions in the HIFU images and (2) the deformation of uterine fibroids caused by the patient's breathing or an external force during the US imaging process, which can lead to complex shapes of lesion regions. These factors have prevented classical active contour-based segmentation methods from yielding desired results for uterine fibroids in US images. In this paper, a novel active contour-based segmentation method is proposed, which utilizes the correlation information of target shapes among a sequence of images as prior knowledge to aid the existing active contour method. This prior knowledge can be interpreted as a unsupervised clustering of shapes prior modeling. Meanwhile, it is also proved that the shapes correlation has the low-rank property in a linear space, and the theory of matrix recovery is used as an effective tool to impose the proposed prior on an existing active contour model. Finally, an accurate method is developed to solve the proposed model by using the Augmented Lagrange Multiplier (ALM). Experimental results from both synthetic and clinical uterine fibroids US image sequences demonstrate that the proposed method can consistently improve the performance of active contour models and increase the robustness against missing or misleading boundaries, and can greatly improve the efficiency of HIFU therapy. 展开更多

This paper presents a numerical investigation of the potential aerodynamic benefits of using endwall contouring in a fairly aggressive duct with six struts based on the platform for endwall design optimization.The platform is constructed by integrating adaptive genetic algorithm(AGA), design of experiments(DOE), response surface methodology(RSM) based on the artificial neural network(ANN), and a 3D Navier–Stokes solver.The visual analysis method based on DOE is used to define the design space and analyze the impact of the design parameters on the target function(response).Optimization of the axisymmetric and the non-axisymmetric endwall contouring in an S-shaped duct is performed and evaluated to minimize the total pressure loss.The optimal ducts are found to reduce the hub corner separation and suppress the migration of the low momentum fluid.The non-axisymmetric endwall contouring is shown to remove the separation completely and reduce the net duct loss by 32.7%. 展开更多

目的机载激光雷达(light detection and ranging,LiDAR)能够快速获取建筑物表面的3维点云,为提取建筑物轮廓提供重要的数据支撑,但由于激光脚点的随机性和点云自身的离散性,常规固定半径Alpha Shapes(A-Shapes)算法难以兼顾轮廓提取的... 目的机载激光雷达(light detection and ranging,LiDAR)能够快速获取建筑物表面的3维点云,为提取建筑物轮廓提供重要的数据支撑,但由于激光脚点的随机性和点云自身的离散性,常规固定半径Alpha Shapes(A-Shapes)算法难以兼顾轮廓提取的精细度和完整度,且在点数量较大情况下计算效率较低。因此,提出一种基于网格的可变半径Alpha Shapes方法用于提取机载LiDAR点云建筑物轮廓。方法对3维点云进行投影降维,对投影后2维离散点的范围构建规则格网,接着根据网格内点云填充情况筛选出边界网格,计算边界网格的平滑度并加权不同的滚动圆半径,再以边界网格为中心生成3×3邻域网格检测窗口,利用滚动圆原理提取窗口内点集的边界点,迭代检测直到所有边界网格遍历完成,最后获取点云的完整轮廓。结果在精度评价实验中,与固定半径A-Shapes方法和可变半径Alpha Shapes(variable radius Alpha Shapes, VA-Shapes)方法相比,若建筑物以直线特征为主且边缘点云参差不齐,则本文方法的提取效果不理想;若建筑物含有较多拐角特征,则本文方法的提取效果较好。在效率评价实验中,与A-Shapes方法、VA-Shapse方法以及包裹圆方法相比,若点云数据量较小,则4种方法的耗时差距不大;若数据量较大,则本文方法和包裹圆方法的耗时远小于固定半径A-Shapes方法。实验结果表明,本文提出的轮廓提取方法适用于多种形状的建筑物点云。从轮廓完整性、几何精度以及计算效率等几方面综合考虑,本文方法提取建筑物点云轮廓效果较好。结论本文提出的基于网格的可变半径Alpha Shapes建筑物点云轮廓提取方法结合了网格划分和滚动圆检测的优点,能够有效提取机载LiDAR建筑物点云顶部轮廓,具有较高的提取效率和良好的鲁棒性,提取的轮廓精度较高。 展开更多

SmartCrown was a new system developed by VAI for improving the strip profile and flatness control first applied in 1700 mm tandem cold rolling mills at Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) Corporation (WISCO). After tracing and testing, the application of the conventional crown backup roll matching the SmartCrown work roll of the production mill led to heavy and nonuniform wear, and the edge spalling of the backup roll often occurred. A 3-dimension finite element model of roll stacks was established, which was used to analyze the above-mentioned problems, and it was found that the main reason was the highly nonuniform contact pressure distribution between the work roll and the backup roll. A new FSR (flexible shape backup roll) was developed and applied in 1700 mm tandem cold rolling mills. A lot of good actual effects of FSR, such as evident improvement in profile and flatness of strips, non-occurring edge spalling, wear uniform, and remarkable decrease in roll consumption were validated by long-term industrial applications. 展开更多

Comparing and analyzing different influence of working factors on control characteristic, the shape control characteristic of CVCplus roll system in its whole work time is studied, and the cause is analyzed and the difference of the roll gap curve and crown adjustable area in early and latter work time is compared. The predictive calculation of comprehensive contour of work rolls in the on-line strip shape control model during hot rolling consists of two important parts of wear contour calculation and thermal contour calculation, which have a direct influence on the ac- curacy of shape control. A statistical wear model and a finite difference thermal contour model of work rolls were described. The comprehensive contour is the equivalence treatment of the sum of grinding, wear, and thermal contours. This comprehensive contour calculation model has been applied successfully in the real on-line strip shape control model. Its high precision has been proved through the large amounts of actual roll profile measurements and theoretical analyses. The hit rates (percent of shape index satisfying re- quirement) of crown and head flatness of the strips rolled, by using the shape control model, which includes the comprehensive contour calculation model, have about 16% and 10% increase respectively, compared to those of strips rolled by using manual operation. 展开更多

In this paper, an information fusion based scheme is presented to obtain 3-D information of human head. Structured light technology is employed to measure depth. For the special reflection areas,in which the structured light stripe can not be detected directly, the shape of the structured light stripe can be calculated from the corresponding contour. By fusing the information of structured light and the contours, the problem of reflectance influence is solved, and the whole shape of head,including hair area, can be obtained. 针对树冠形状各异、结构复杂、轮廓难以提取和体积难以精确计算等问题,文中基于三维激光扫描得到的树冠点云,提出一种综合树冠点云切片算法、α-shape点云轮廓提取算法和散乱轮廓点云排序算法的树冠体积计算方法。首先对树冠点云按照一... 针对树冠形状各异、结构复杂、轮廓难以提取和体积难以精确计算等问题,文中基于三维激光扫描得到的树冠点云,提出一种综合树冠点云切片算法、α-shape点云轮廓提取算法和散乱轮廓点云排序算法的树冠体积计算方法。首先对树冠点云按照一定的间隔进行切片,将树冠点云分成多个类似台体和锥体部分,然后利用α-shape算法对每一层树冠点云进行轮廓点的提取,再使用点云排序算法对α-shape算法提取到的轮廓点集进行逆时针排序,利用多边形面积的行列式计算公式分别计算每层点云的面积;并使用台体和锥体的体积计算公式计算每部分的体积,最终累加各部分体积值得到树冠的最终体积。通过对利用TrimbleTX8地面三维激光扫描仪得到的九棵不同形状和品种的树木树冠点云进行计算与分析,并使用传统的体元法和凸包法对本文提出的算法进行了验证。结果表明本计算方法能很好地提取树冠的外包轮廓,进而得到准确的树冠体积值,在准确性和精度上优于两种传统方法,可应用于林业资源的调查与分析。 展开更多

The matching and retrieval of the 2D shapes are challenging issues in object recognition and computer vision. In this paper, we propose a new object contour descriptor termed ECPDH (Elliptic Contour Points Distribution Histogram), which is based on the distribution of the points on an object contour under the polar coordinates. ECPDH has the essential merits of invariance to scale and translation. Dynamic Programming (DP) algorithm is used to measure the distance between the ECPDHs. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated using some standard tests on MPEG-7 shape database. The results show the precision and recall of our method over other recent methods in the literature. 展开更多

基于傅里叶描述子轮廓滤波的茶鲜叶分级特征提取的改进研究

针对茶叶自动化分级中因轮廓噪声而导致的特征混淆问题,提出了一种基于傅里叶描述子轮廓滤波的特征优化方法.首先利用傅里叶描述子滤除高频噪声,以此突出茶鲜叶不同品质轮廓的本质拓扑结构特征和压缩次要特征;其次在Hu矩、Zernike矩的KN... 针对茶叶自动化分级中因轮廓噪声而导致的特征混淆问题,提出了一种基于傅里叶描述子轮廓滤波的特征优化方法.首先利用傅里叶描述子滤除高频噪声,以此突出茶鲜叶不同品质轮廓的本质拓扑结构特征和压缩次要特征;其次在Hu矩、Zernike矩的KNN分类器上和传统深度学习模型(YOLOv5-s、YOLOX-tiny)上对轮廓滤波前后的特征提取性能进行了对比验证.在涵盖不同季节、海拔、光照、土质、施肥、树龄等3600个茶鲜叶样本数据集上进行试验,结果表明,轮廓平滑可显著提升特征区分性,其中Hu矩和Zernike矩的类间散度分别提高了37%和21%,类内散度分别降低了2.5%和11.9%.YOLOv5-s和YOLOX-tiny类间散度分别提高了37.9%和28.0%,类内散度分别降低了16.8%和14.4%.KNN、YOLOv5-s和YOLOX-tiny 3种模型的平均分类精度分别提升了9.38%、4.25%、4.00%,YOLOv5-s和YOLOX-tiny的训练效率分别提升了7.7%和9.2%,正向推理时间分别降低6.7%和8.3%,收敛需要的训练周期平均减少25轮次.上述表明,基于傅里叶描述子的轮廓滤波可显著提高模型特征提取的判别力与模型识别的准确率,以及提高模型训练效率与收敛速度,因此该方法可为茶叶的自动化分级技术的图像识别特征优化工程研究提供参考. 展开更多

为提升水产养殖水下观测的生态兼容性与数据获取效率,设计一种低扰动、高稳定性的仿生水下观测装置。实验采用仿生蝠鲼形态设计,基于计算机视觉提取生物标本轮廓并构建NACA0013翼型外形态模型,结合Lighthill理论建立展向运动学模型;通... 为提升水产养殖水下观测的生态兼容性与数据获取效率,设计一种低扰动、高稳定性的仿生水下观测装置。实验采用仿生蝠鲼形态设计,基于计算机视觉提取生物标本轮廓并构建NACA0013翼型外形态模型,结合Lighthill理论建立展向运动学模型;通过动水槽试验验证水动力性能并开展实际水域试验,评估对鱼群的扰动程度及图像传输能力。结果显示:仿生本体轮廓与NACA0013翼型的拟合优度达0.944,具备优良流体动力特性;动水槽试验中,在θ=50°,f=0.830 Hz时推力值、升力值、俯仰力矩值达到最大,呈规律振荡,表明运动平稳性;经测试,鱼群平均跟随率最高达36.5%,证实装置对鱼群干扰极小,环境兼容性优异,同时可实时传输仿生蝠鲼和自然鱼群共融的高清图像,完全满足生态观测需求。研究表明,NACA0013翼型具有显著的流线型拟合优势;仿生蝠鲼的推力、升力和俯仰力矩随运动振幅及频率的增大而增强,但受环境流速影响显著;当仿生蝠鲼运动速度为0.3 m/s时,鱼群跟随率达到峰值;该装置在水产养殖中可实现无扰检测,为养殖管理提供有效数据支撑。本研究为水产养殖提供了新型生态友好型水下观测装备,其仿生设计与智能控制方法可扩展至海洋生态监测、水下机器人等领域,推动低干扰水下技术的发展。 展开更多
