Background:Recent evidence suggests continuous bouts of physical activity(PA)are associated with longevity.We hypothesized the risk of mortality would be lower when the most active minutes of the day were in a continu...Background:Recent evidence suggests continuous bouts of physical activity(PA)are associated with longevity.We hypothesized the risk of mortality would be lower when the most active minutes of the day were in a continuous bout.Methods:PA was assessed using accelerometery in UK Biobank participants.The intensity of the most active continuous(MXCONT)and accumulated(MX)X min of the day,and their ratio(MXRATIO=MXCONT/MX),were determined.MXRATIO indicates how the most active minutes of the day are accumulated,ranging from a single continuous bout through to sporadic accumulation spread across the day.Durations(X)considered ranged from 1 to 20 min.The outcome was mortality.Results:In total,94,541 participants(56.5% female)were included.Over a median(interquartile range)follow-up of 6.9(6.3,7.4)years,2649(2.8%)deaths occurred.Intensity moderated the association between how the most active minutes of the day were accumulated and mortality risk,expressed relative to sporadically accumulated moderate PA.If the most active minutes were of moderate intensity,the risk of mortality was halved for continuous compared to sporadic accumulation,irrespective of duration;if the most active minutes were of vigorous intensity,a continuous bout was associated with the lowest risk for durations under 5 min(e.g.,3 min:hazard ratio(HR)=0.27,95% confidence interval(95%CI):0.21-0.34),while sporadic accumulation was associated with the lowest risk for durations beyond 5 min(HR=0.11,95%CI:0.08-0.15 for the most active 20 min).Conclusion:Optimal PA patterns for reducing mortality differ by intensity and duration.For moderate-intensity PA,a lower mortality risk may be optimized by prioritizing continuous PA for up to 20 min.However,for vigorous-intensity PA,multiple short bouts(<5 min)may be optimal.This suggests tailored PA recommendations may enhance longevity benefits.展开更多

Sanchuan ham is appreciated in Yunnan Province,China,for its characteristic flavor and taste,while the microbial community structure and biogenic amines content remain unclear during fermentation processes.In this stu...Sanchuan ham is appreciated in Yunnan Province,China,for its characteristic flavor and taste,while the microbial community structure and biogenic amines content remain unclear during fermentation processes.In this study,we explored the physicochemical property,biogenic amines concentration and microbial diversity of external and internal Sanchuan ham by high-throughput sequencing during the processing of Sanchuan ham.Results showed that the nitrite remained at a stable level of 0.15 mg/kg which was significantly lower than the national health standard safety level of 20 mg/kg.In addition,compared with fresh hams,the content of total free amino acids in ripe Sanchuan ham has grown 14 folds;sour and bitter were the main tastes of Sanchuan ham.Notably,the concentration of cadaverine was the highest of all biogenic amines during the entire fermentation period.At the bacterial phyla level,Firmicutes and Actinobacteria were the two main phyla,while at the genus level,Staphylococcus was a significant strain throughout the whole fermentation.Moreover,the dry stage has a great impact on the succession change of microbial community structure.Simultaneously,the change trends and composition of bacteria in the interior have slight discrepancies with those of the exterior of Sanchuan ham.展开更多

In this study, a novel delay time distribution analysis method for the response messages is proposed when considering errors. In this method the complex message queues are decomposed into typical message patterns and cases. First, a stochastic fault model is developed, and the probability factor is defined to calculate the error distribution. Then the message delay time distribution for the single slave node configuration is analyzed based on the error distribution. Next, based on the delay time distribution analysis of typical patterns and cases, an analysis framework of message delay time distribution for the master/slave configuration is developed. The testbed is constructed and case studies are conducted to demonstrate the proposed methodology under different network configurations. Experimental results show that the delay time distributions calculated by the proposed method agree well with the actual observations.展开更多
A series of very successful Continuous Very Long Baseline Interferometry Campaigns(CONT) have been carried out at irregular intervals since 1994.One of the goals is to support high-resolution earth rotation studies.Th...A series of very successful Continuous Very Long Baseline Interferometry Campaigns(CONT) have been carried out at irregular intervals since 1994.One of the goals is to support high-resolution earth rotation studies.The most recent CONT08 campaign was conducted with a network of 11 observatories at an increased recording rate of 512 Mbit per second over a fortnightly time span,from which stronger diurnal variations of the Earth Rotation Parameters(ERP) have been detected.We compared the high-frequency ERP from VLBI and GPS observations during CONT02,CONT05 and CONT08 with the atmospheric angular momentum functions derived from the National Centers for Environmental Prediction/National Center for Atmospheric(NCEP/NCAR) during these periods.We attribute the detected diurnal discrepancies between the theoretical models and the CONT08 observations to atmospheric excitations.展开更多
