A new constrained VA is proposed by adding con- straint bits directly for conventional codec. Compared with the conventional VA, under the bad channel condi- tion, the proposed scheme can improve the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) of the decoding image 2--10 dB by changing the number of constrained bits. Experimental results show that it is an efficient error-controlling way for the transmission of set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) coded image.展开更多

As a result, the original DNCOP is approximately transformed into several static bi-objective optimization problems. Third, a new multiobjective evolutionary algorithm is proposed based on a new selection operator and an improved nonuniformity mutation operator. Firstly the feasible solutions and infeasible solutions are stored separately through two populations,which can avoid direct comparison between them. The usage of efficient information carried by the infeasible solutions will enlarge exploitation scope and strength diversity of populations. At the same time,adopting the presented concept of constraints domination to update the infeasible set may keep good variety of population and give consideration to convergence. Also the improved mutation operation is employed to further raise the diversity and convergence.The suggested algorithm is compared with 3 state- of- the- art constrained optimization algorithms on standard test problems g01- g13. This paper introduces a novel mutation operator, without using the scaling factor F, a conventional control parameter, and this mutation can generate multiple trial vectors by incorporating different weighted values at each generation, which can make the best of the selected multiple parents to improve the probability of generating a better offspring. In addition, in order to enhance the capacity of adaptation, a new and adaptive control parameter, i.e. the crossover rate CR, is presented and when one variable is beyond its boundary, a repair rule is also applied in this paper. The proposed algorithm ADE is validated on several constrained engineering design optimization problems reported in the specialized literature. Compared with respect to algorithms representative of the state-of-the-art in the area, the experimental results show that ADE can obtain good solutions on a test set of constrained optimization problems in engineering design.展开更多

The traditional A^(*)algorithm exhibits a low efficiency in the path planning of unmanned surface vehicles(USVs).In addition,the path planned presents numerous redundant inflection waypoints,and the security is low,wh...The traditional A^(*)algorithm exhibits a low efficiency in the path planning of unmanned surface vehicles(USVs).In addition,the path planned presents numerous redundant inflection waypoints,and the security is low,which is not conducive to the control of USV and also affects navigation safety.In this paper,these problems were addressed through the following improvements.First,the path search angle and security were comprehensively considered,and a security expansion strategy of nodes based on the 5×5 neighborhood was proposed.The A^(*)algorithm search neighborhood was expanded from 3×3 to 5×5,and safe nodes were screened out for extension via the node security expansion strategy.This algorithm can also optimize path search angles while improving path security.Second,the distance from the current node to the target node was introduced into the heuristic function.The efficiency of the A^(*)algorithm was improved,and the path was smoothed using the Floyd algorithm.For the dynamic adjustment of the weight to improve the efficiency of DWA,the distance from the USV to the target point was introduced into the evaluation function of the dynamic-window approach(DWA)algorithm.Finally,combined with the local target point selection strategy,the optimized DWA algorithm was performed for local path planning.The experimental results show the smooth and safe path planned by the fusion algorithm,which can successfully avoid dynamic obstacles and is effective and feasible in path planning for USVs.展开更多
An improved version of the sparse A^(*)algorithm is proposed to address the common issue of excessive expansion of nodes and failure to consider current ship status and parameters in traditional path planning algorith...An improved version of the sparse A^(*)algorithm is proposed to address the common issue of excessive expansion of nodes and failure to consider current ship status and parameters in traditional path planning algorithms.This algorithm considers factors such as initial position and orientation of the ship,safety range,and ship draft to determine the optimal obstacle-avoiding route from the current to the destination point for ship planning.A coordinate transformation algorithm is also applied to convert commonly used latitude and longitude coordinates of ship travel paths to easily utilized and analyzed Cartesian coordinates.The algorithm incorporates a hierarchical chart processing algorithm to handle multilayered chart data.Furthermore,the algorithm considers the impact of ship length on grid size and density when implementing chart gridification,adjusting the grid size and density accordingly based on ship length.Simulation results show that compared to traditional path planning algorithms,the sparse A^(*)algorithm reduces the average number of path points by 25%,decreases the average maximum storage node number by 17%,and raises the average path turning angle by approximately 10°,effectively improving the safety of ship planning paths.展开更多

It is proved th at the algorithm is equivalent to a level-1 perturbed composite Newton method. Numerical experiments on twenty-six standard test problems are made. We use a new fitness function and two very effective local search procedures in the proposed MA. The fitness function makes use of a mechanism called "strategic oscillation" to make the search process have a higher probability to visit solutions around a "feasible boundary". One of the local search procedures aims at improving the lower bound of project makespan to be less than a known upper bound, and another aims at improving a solution of an MRCPSP instance accepting infeasible solutions based on the new fitness function in the search process. A detailed computational experiment is set up using instances from the problem instance library PSPLIB. Computational results show that the proposed MA is very competitive with the state-of-the-art algorithms. The MA obtains improved solutions for one instance of set J30.展开更多

Furthermore, the condition number of the Hessian of the nonlinear Lagrange function with respect to the decision variables is analyzed, which is closely related to efficiency of the algorithm. 文摘An improved version of the sparse A^(*)algorithm is proposed to address the common issue of excessive expansion of nodes and failure to consider current ship status and parameters in traditional path planning algorithms.This algorithm considers factors such as initial position and orientation of the ship,safety range,and ship draft to determine the optimal obstacle-avoiding route from the current to the destination point for ship planning.A coordinate transformation algorithm is also applied to convert commonly used latitude and longitude coordinates of ship travel paths to easily utilized and analyzed Cartesian coordinates.The algorithm incorporates a hierarchical chart processing algorithm to handle multilayered chart data.Furthermore,the algorithm considers the impact of ship length on grid size and density when implementing chart gridification,adjusting the grid size and density accordingly based on ship length.Simulation results show that compared to traditional path planning algorithms,the sparse A^(*)algorithm reduces the average number of path points by 25%,decreases the average maximum storage node number by 17%,and raises the average path turning angle by approximately 10°,effectively improving the safety of ship planning paths.

文摘A new problem of degree-constrained Euclidean Steiner minimal tree is discussed, which is quite useful in several fields. Although it is slightly different from the traditional degree-constrained minimal spanning tree, it is also NP-hard. Two intelligent algorithms are proposed in an attempt to solve this difficult problem. Series of numerical examples are tested, which demonstrate that the algorithms also work well in practice.

文摘The electricity-hydrogen integrated energy system(EH-IES)enables synergistic operation of electricity,heat,and hydrogen subsystems,supporting renewable energy integration and efficient multi-energy utilization in future low carbon societies.However,uncertainties from renewable energy and load variability threaten system safety and economy.Conventional chance-constrained programming(CCP)ensures reliable operation by limiting risk.However,increasing source-load uncertainties that can render CCP models infeasible and exacerbate operational risks.To address this,this paper proposes a risk-adjustable chance-constrained goal programming(RACCGP)model,integrating CCP and goal programming to balance risk and cost based on system risk assessment.An intelligent nonlinear goal programming method based on the state transition algorithm(STA)is developed,along with an improved discretized step transformation,to handle model nonlinearity and enhance computational efficiency.Experimental results show that the proposed model reduces costs while controlling risk compared to traditional CCP,and the solution method outperforms average sample sampling in efficiency and solution quality.

文摘In order to solve the constrained global optimization problem,we use penalty functions not only on constraints but also on objective function. Then within the framework of interval analysis,an interval Branch-and-Bound algorithm is given,which does not need to solve a sequence of unconstrained problems. Global convergence is proved. Numerical examples show that this algorithm is efficient.
文摘Active set method and gradient projection method are curre nt ly the main approaches for linearly constrained convex programming. Interior-po int method is one of the most effective choices for linear programming. In the p aper a predictor-corrector interior-point algorithm for linearly constrained c onvex programming under the predictor-corrector motivation was proposed. In eac h iteration, the algorithm first performs a predictor-step to reduce the dualit y gap and then a corrector-step to keep the points close to the central traject ory. Computations in the algorithm only require that the initial iterate be nonn egative while feasibility or strict feasibility is not required. It is proved th at the algorithm is equivalent to a level-1 perturbed composite Newton method. Numerical experiments on twenty-six standard test problems are made. The result s show that the proposed algorithm is stable and robust.

文摘A memetic algorithm (MA) for a multi-mode resourceconstrained project scheduling problem (MRCPSP) is proposed. We use a new fitness function and two very effective local search procedures in the proposed MA. The fitness function makes use of a mechanism called "strategic oscillation" to make the search process have a higher probability to visit solutions around a "feasible boundary". One of the local search procedures aims at improving the lower bound of project makespan to be less than a known upper bound, and another aims at improving a solution of an MRCPSP instance accepting infeasible solutions based on the new fitness function in the search process. A detailed computational experiment is set up using instances from the problem instance library PSPLIB. Computational results show that the proposed MA is very competitive with the state-of-the-art algorithms. The MA obtains improved solutions for one instance of set J30.
文摘A potential reduction algorithm is proposed for optimization of a convex function subject to linear constraints.At each step of the algorithm,a system of linear equations is solved to get a search direction and the Armijo's rule is used to determine a stepsize.It is proved that the algorithm is globally convergent.Computational results are reported.

文摘The convergence analysis of a nonlinear Lagrange algorithm for solving nonlinear constrained optimization problems with both inequality and equality constraints is explored in detail. The estimates for the derivatives of the multiplier mapping and the solution mapping of the proposed algorithm are discussed via the technique of the singular value decomposition of matrix. Based on the estimates, the local convergence results and the rate of convergence of the algorithm are presented when the penalty parameter is less than a threshold under a set of suitable conditions on problem functions. Furthermore, the condition number of the Hessian of the nonlinear Lagrange function with respect to the decision variables is analyzed, which is closely related to efficiency of the algorithm. Finally, the preliminary numericM results for several typical test problems are reported.

文摘The authors consider optimization methods for box constrained variational inequalities. First, the authors study the KKT-conditions problem based on the original problem. A merit function for the KKT-conditions problem is proposed, and some desirable properties of the merit function are obtained. Through the merit function, the original problem is reformulated as minimization with simple constraints. Then, the authors show that any stationary point of the optimization problem is a solution of the original problem. Finally, a descent algorithm is presented for the optimization problem, and global convergence is shown.
