The“One Zone,Two Lands,One Park,and One Corridor”development strategy implemented in Guangxi,as a key component of China’s regional strategic deployment,provides opportunities and challenges for the development of ...The“One Zone,Two Lands,One Park,and One Corridor”development strategy implemented in Guangxi,as a key component of China’s regional strategic deployment,provides opportunities and challenges for the development of local higher education.By comparing the strategic requirements,this paper uses the SWOT analysis method to conduct an in-depth analysis of the current status of higher education in Guangxi.The analysis results show that Guangxi’s higher education has certain advantages in geographical location but lacks educational resources.At the same time,the region’s higher education faces opportunities such as policy support and local industrial transformation and upgrading,but it also faces risks such as fierce external competition,mismatches between talent supply and demand,and financial constraints.Aiming at the above problems,this paper further proposes the Opportunity Capture Strategy,Adversity Breakthrough Strategy,Advantage Defense Strategy,and Disadvantage Resolution Strategy,aiming to solve the problems faced by regional higher education in serving the transformation of local development strategies.展开更多

Consumer citizenship education for sustainable development is an important function of higher education with a significant moral, social, political, economic, ecological and legal capacity. Consumer citizenship education plays an important role in ensuring the stability and sustainable development of any society. These approaches make it possible to develop the multi-scale thinking of future specialists and enhance their ability to analyse critically the main dilemmas created by the processes of social, legal, environmental, and economic development. The article is devoted to the experience of the Latvian system of higher education in consumer citizenship education within the context of sustainable development. It focuses more specifically on cooperation as a form of voluntary interaction between the partners involved in ensuring sustainable development. The aim of the research is to analyse the experience of consumer citizenship education in Latvian higher education within the context of sustainable development emphasizing the role of various forms of studies. Mostly theoretical research methods have been used in the present study. The starting point of for this research is a theoretical framework. There are both legal underpinnings and practical implementation aspects in this task. The features outlined above are emphasized in the normative acts referring to the Latvian higher education, the documents of the institutions of higher education, and particularly in the study programmes. The results of the research show that consumer citizenship education can be acquired as an interdisciplinary system. The goals and objectives of consumer citizenship education involve training young specialists possessing broad professional knowledge, developed critical thinking, the ability to organize and manage work in a modem way, understanding of the ethical, civic and patriotic values, as well as the ability and skills to engage in various social activities. Consumer citizenship education needs transdisciplinary knowledge if it is to solve the problems of humanity, the problems aggravated by unsustainable, unethical, even immoral consumption. The link between consumer citizenship education and sustainable development is ensured by shared common values, which reveal the sense and importance of both consumer citizenship and ethical sustainability.展开更多

Additionally, agriculture is major income source for farmers in rura...Agriculture in Turkey has been playing a significant role in Turkish economy and agricultural sectors are the most important provider of employment. Additionally, agriculture is major income source for farmers in rural areas and education level positively effects their income level and productivity. Agricultural faculties, institutions and agricultural extension services are mainly responsible for farmers＇ education in Turkey. The mission of agricultural education is to provide education for young people to prepare them for life and also work for rural community. Also, the agricultural education is responsible for the development of practical and theoretical knowledge of people in rural areas with disseminating information and new technologies. Basic field studies on the national qualifications framework for higher education of Turkey has been determined by a working group of deans formed by the CoHE under the Bologna process. Sixty programs on agriculture, forestry and fishery were identified at the faculties. A small working group formed among the deans of the agricultural faculties founded ZIDEK accreditation society to accredited programs at the agricultural faculties. Also a report was prepared by another working group to recommend worldwide programs to the agricultural faculties in Turkey. Mass media plays an important role for disseminating the agricultural innovations to rural areas. In this respect, the primary goal of Turkey is the improvement of welfare of farmers in order to sustain rural development. For this aim, handicraft training centers to diversify the rural economy, agricultural publication services of MoFAL distribute publications in order to disseminate information and new technologies, Widespread Education Project for Farmers （YAYCEP） has been started and within the scope of the project producers who live in rural areas, education and extension services and projects for woman farmers and other extension studies have been carried out under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock in collaboration with 26 agricultural faculties in Turkey.展开更多

The development of women’s higher education in China can be divided into four stages:emergence(1908-1948);foundation(1949-1976);accelerating development(1977-2008);and the qualitative leap(2009-2020).This work consid...The development of women’s higher education in China can be divided into four stages:emergence(1908-1948);foundation(1949-1976);accelerating development(1977-2008);and the qualitative leap(2009-2020).This work considers the principal institutional mechanisms that contributed to this development.First,flexibly planned parenthood gradually promoted gender equality and openness in society facilitated by systematic“awards,grants,and loans”initiatives to support women’s higher education economically.Second,compulsory education ensured that left-out and migrant children had access to higher education.Third,effective connectivity across different education types bridged education gaps between those with different levels of education.Fourth,China made great efforts to invite and integrate international experiences that promoted the development of women’s higher education.Looking beyond these achievements,we also discuss the future trends of women’s higher education in China.展开更多

文摘At present,higher education in China has entered the stage of popularization,and the"connotative development of higher education"has become the inevitable choice for the development of colleges and universities in China.In the process of"connotative development"in higher education,we must realize the importance of discipline construction and optimize discipline layout and specialty construction,improve the quality of personnel trained by colleges and universities in order to satisfy the needs of social and economic development.On this basis,colleges and universities should,according to the market demand for talents,reform and innovate the talent training mode,continuously strengthen the construction of teaching staff,improve the quality of classroom teaching,effectively improve students'social practice capability,improve the quality of talent training,and take a connotative development path through school-enterprise cooperation and integration of production and teaching.
文摘Higher vocational colleges are an important part of higher educational institutions, and train a large number of high-quality skilled personnel each year and solve the personnel demand problems of enterprises and other employing units. In recent years, art is not ordy a popular program in higher vocational colleges, but also an academic specialty difficult to control in higher vocational education. Because of the special characteristics of art, higher vocational colleges should combine with the future development trend of art education in the process of making a flexible teaching reform strategy, but should be no longer only be limited to the current teaching reform, so that the demands on the training of professional art personnel in a different period of times can be fulfilled.
文摘Some notes on sustainable development and scientific outlook on development were given.It is addressed that the mission of higher education to contribute to sustainable development should be reinforced and further expanded.The present situation of China's higher education and the improvements required were analyzed.Two modes of thinking(reductionism and holism)and the relationship between the mode of thinking and the mode of development were discussed.The change in the mode of thinking is the key point for Chinese higher education,and more intensive reform of teaching affairs is necessary.A proposal of the revision of China's Higher Education Act and University Constitutions was put forward.

文摘The development of women’s higher education in China can be divided into four stages:emergence(1908-1948);foundation(1949-1976);accelerating development(1977-2008);and the qualitative leap(2009-2020).This work considers the principal institutional mechanisms that contributed to this development.First,flexibly planned parenthood gradually promoted gender equality and openness in society facilitated by systematic“awards,grants,and loans”initiatives to support women’s higher education economically.Second,compulsory education ensured that left-out and migrant children had access to higher education.Third,effective connectivity across different education types bridged education gaps between those with different levels of education.Fourth,China made great efforts to invite and integrate international experiences that promoted the development of women’s higher education.Looking beyond these achievements,we also discuss the future trends of women’s higher education in China.
