However, Few of the traditional clustering algorithms can not only handle the categorical data, but also explain its output clearly. Based on the idea of dynamic clustering, an incremental conceptive clustering algorithm is proposed in this paper. Which introduces the Semantic Core Tree (SCT) to deal with large volume of categorical wire transfer data for the detecting money laundering. In addition, the rule generation algorithm is presented here to express the clustering result by the format of knowledge. When we apply this idea in financial data mining, the efficiency of searching the characters of money laundering data will be improved. 展开更多

Calculate large-scale indicators via variation of small-scale data(CLIVS):A general known-to-unknown approach and its application

Engineering problems often involve large spatial scales and long-term lifespans.This makes it exceptionally difficult to measure engineering parameters and predict disasters such as slope instability or tunnel collapses.A key challenge is to calculate large-scale(target lifespan)quantitative indicators from small-scale(short-term)detectable results,thereby enhancing engineering safety and economic efficiency.Many engineering problems exhibit a unidirectional spatio-temporal evolution with either decay or enhancement as their spatial scale or time increases.This phenomenon is called the power law with exponential function.A general approach is required to use this evolution law in the prediction of the unknown from the known.This paper proposes a novel concept to calculate large-scale indicators via variation of small-scale data(called CLIVS for short),to address a general approach through the following five aspects:Firstly,general spatio-temporal evolution laws in engineering are systematically summarized and classified.Then,the core idea and basic concepts of CLIVS,its mathematical formulation and solution procedure are described in detail.Thirdly,the linkage of CLIVS to past famous philosophy schools is explored.Fourthly,the potential applications of CLIVS to rock mechanics and rock engineering are classified according to size effect and time-scale law.Finally,two typical examples of the application of CLIVS to engineering parameter prediction are presented.These demonstrate that the CLIVS provides a novel way and a general approach to accurately predict unknown behaviors based on known local spatial data or short-term indicators.It formulates a unified theoretical framework or universal approach to calculate unmeasurable engineering parameters or predict lifespan with reasonable accuracy from the knowns measurable at the local scale or in the short term. 展开更多

Objectives This study aimed to explore and clarify the concept of reflective supervision as a professional self-care strategy to create a positive Intensive Care Unit(ICU)practice environment.Methods Walker and Avant’s eight-step concept analysis approach was utilized to identify and define the attributes,antecedents,and consequences of reflective supervision in the ICU.An extensive literature search was conducted across various databases,including Google Scholar,CINAHL,PubMed.Articles published from 2005 to 2025 were identified.We followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)2020 statement to indicate the included articles and extract related data based on relevance.Results Forty articles were included in the analysis.The identified attributes included the supervisor-supervisee relationship,effective communication,teamwork,collaborations,reflection,competencies,feedback,continuous support,and autonomous choice.The identified antecedents included participation,supportive supervision,flexibility,open-door policy,training,and motivation.Consequences impacting the success of reflective supervision were identified as promotion of resiliency,autonomy,work-life balance,self-awareness,increased self-esteem,professional development,critical thinking,increased job satisfaction,and enhanced commitment.Conclusions Reflective supervision is a complex professional self-care strategy that enhances ICU practice,by promoting nurses’well-being,self-awareness,therapeutic skills,and professional development. 展开更多

With the evolution of next-generation network technologies,the complexity of network management has significantly increased,and the means of network attacks are diversified,bringing new challenges to network traffic classification.This paper presents a general AIdriven network traffic classification workflow and elaborates on a traffic data and feature engineering framework.Most importantly,it analyzes the concept and causes of data distribution shifts in ne twork traffic,proposing detection methods and countermeasures.Experimental results on real traffic collected at different time intervals show that application evolution can induce data distribution shifts,which in turn lead to a noticeable degradation in traffic classification performance.Comparative drift detection experiments further confirm that such shifts are more evident over long-term intervals,while short-term traffic remains relatively stable.These findings demonstrate the necessity of incorporating drift-aware mechanisms into AI-driven network traffic classification systems. 展开更多

DriftXMiner: A Resilient Process Intelligence Approach for Safe and Transparent Detection of Incremental Concept Drift in Process Mining

Processes supported by process-aware information systems are subject to continuous and often subtle changes due to evolving operational,organizational,or regulatory factors.These changes,referred to as incremental concept drift,gradually alter the behavior or structure of processes,making their detection and localization a challenging task.Traditional process mining techniques frequently assume process stationarity and are limited in their ability to detect such drift,particularly from a control-flow perspective.The objective of this research is to develop an interpretable and robust framework capable of detecting and localizing incremental concept drift in event logs,with a specific emphasis on the structural evolution of control-flow semantics in processes.We propose DriftXMiner,a control-flow-aware hybrid framework that combines statistical,machine learning,and process model analysis techniques.The approach comprises three key components:(1)Cumulative Drift Scanner that tracks directional statistical deviations to detect early drift signals;(2)a Temporal Clustering and Drift-Aware Forest Ensemble(DAFE)to capture distributional and classification-level changes in process behavior;and(3)Petri net-based process model reconstruction,which enables the precise localization of structural drift using transition deviation metrics and replay fitness scores.Experimental validation on the BPI Challenge 2017 event log demonstrates that DriftXMiner effectively identifies and localizes gradual and incremental process drift over time.The framework achieves a detection accuracy of 92.5%,a localization precision of 90.3%,and an F1-score of 0.91,outperforming competitive baselines such as CUSUM+Histograms and ADWIN+Alpha Miner.Visual analyses further confirm that identified drift points align with transitions in control-flow models and behavioral cluster structures.DriftXMiner offers a novel and interpretable solution for incremental concept drift detection and localization in dynamic,process-aware systems.By integrating statistical signal accumulation,temporal behavior profiling,and structural process mining,the framework enables finegrained drift explanation and supports adaptive process intelligence in evolving environments.Its modular architecture supports extension to streaming data and real-time monitoring contexts. 展开更多

In today's connected world,the generation of massive streaming data across diverse domains has become commonplace.In the presence of concept drift,class imbalance,label scarcity,and new class emergence,these challenges jointly degrade representation stability,bias learning toward outdated distributions,and reduce the resilience and reliability of detection in dynamic environments.This paper proposes a streaming classincremental learning(SCIL)framework to address these issues.The SCIL framework integrates an autoencoder(AE)with a multi-layer perceptron for multi-class prediction,employs a dual-loss strategy(classification and reconstruction)for prediction and new class detection,uses corrected pseudo-labels for online training,manages classes with queues,and applies oversampling to handle imbalance.The rationale behind the method's structure is elucidated through ablation studies,and a comprehensive experimental evaluation is performed using both real-world and synthetic datasets that feature class imbalance,incremental classes,and concept drifts.Our results demonstrate that SCIL outperforms strong baselines and state-of-the-art methods.In line with our commitment to Open Science,we make our code and datasets available to the community. 展开更多

Many machine learning-based Android malware detection often suffers from concept drift,where models trained on historical data fail to generalize to evolving threats.This paper proposes SCAN(Structural Clustering with Adaptive thresholds for iNtelligent Android malware detection),a hybrid intelligent framework designed to mitigate concept drift without retraining.SCAN integrates Gaussian Mixture Models(GMMs)-based clustering with cluster-wise adaptive thresholding and supervised classifiers tailored to each cluster.A key challenge in clusteringbased malware detection is cluster-wise class imbalance,where clusters contain disproportionate distributions of benign and malicious samples.SCAN addresses this issue through adaptive thresholding,which dynamically adjusts the decision boundary of each cluster according to its malicious-to-benign ratio.In the final training stage,four supervised learning algorithms—Random Forest(RF),Support Vector Machine(SVM),k-NN,and XGBoost—are applied within the GMM-defined clusters.We train SCAN on Android applications collected from 2014-2017 and test it with applications from 2018-2023.Experimental results demonstrate that SCAN combined with RF consistently achieves superior performance,with both average accuracy and average F1-score exceeding 91%.These findings confirm SCAN’s robustness to concept drift and highlight its potential as a sustainable and intelligent solution for long-term Android malware detection in the real world. 展开更多

The article addresses the problem of the absence of a common language in international communication.Using the example of the UN Security Council session of March 2,2026,dedicated to children in armed conflicts,it analyzes a paradox:all participants speak about the same values but do not hear one another.As a solution,the Philosophical Matrix is proposed-a system of maximally general comparative concepts(the identical,the different,the correlative,the opposite,the orthogonal)that explicates a universal language of thinking,which the author calls the“language of Elohim”.The cultural-historical roots of this language are traced in the first chapter of Genesis,in Heraclitus,in Laozi,and in the Sefer Yetzirah.An analysis of the March 2 speeches allows us to diagnose at which levels of thinking(reason,practical mind,pure mind,wisdom)today’s educators and politicians operate.The conclusion proposes the“Wise School”project as a practical path for returning to the“language of Elohim”through education starting from early childhood. 展开更多

Objective:To clarify the concept of in-home respite care in dementia care and identify changes in the service content over time to help providers and users better understand this sustainable service.Method:A literature search was conducted through Chinese databases China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang,VIP,and SinoMed,as well as English databases PubMed,the Cochrane Library,Web of Sciences,and Embase.Articles published from January 1980 to December 2024 were identified.Rogers’conceptual analysis of evolution was used for this concept analysis,including six steps:identifying the concept and its context,selecting appropriate databases,determining relevant literature,identifying the concept’s attributes,antecedents,and consequences,choosing a concept exemplar if appropriate,and defininghypotheses and implications for further concept development.Results:Thirty-one articles were included.This conceptual analysis revealed the evolution of in-home respite care service content over time and summarized three key attributes.The antecedents included factors related to people with dementia,family caregivers,and the social environment(aging society,government support).The consequences of in-home respite services include delayed institutional placement and reduced security risk events for people with dementia.For family caregivers,consequences include reduced caregiving stress,improved quality of life,and perceived benefitsfrom rest periods.Conclusion:In-home respite care can be interpreted as family-centered home care that provides temporary relief from family caregivers’responsibilities in caring for people with dementia to reduce caregiver burden.The trend of service specialization and attention on dementia families’needs in service provision are future research focus. 展开更多

Evaluation of hydromechanical shear behavior of unsaturated soils is still a challenging issue. The time and cost needed for conducting precise experimental investigation on shear behavior of unsaturated soils have encouraged several investigators to develop analytical, empirical, or semi-empirical models for predicting the shear behavior of unsaturated soils. However, most of the previously proposed models are for specimens subjected to the isotropic state of stress, without considering the effect of initial shear stress. In this study, a hydromechanical constitutive model is proposed for unsaturated collapsible soils during shearing, with consideration of the effect of the initial shear stress. The model implements an effective stress-based disturbed state concept (DSC) to predict the stress-strain behavior of the soil. Accordingly, material/state variables were defined for both the start of the shearing stage and the critical state of the soil. A series of laboratory tests was performed using a fully automated unsaturated triaxial device to verify the proposed model. The experimental program included 23 suction-controlled unsaturated triaxial shear tests on reconstituted specimens of Gorgan clayey loess wetted to different levels of suctions under both isotropic and anisotropic stress states. The results show excellent agreement between the prediction by the proposed model and the experimental results. 展开更多

The article presents an original concept of a universal philosophical language capable of transcending the boundaries between individual sciences and serving as a foundation for transdisciplinary thinking.This approach,developed by the author since the 1980s,is based on particular and general comparative concepts-concepts of practical mind and categories of pure mind.Therefore,the key element of the concept is the category of"particular and general",which fundamentally differs from the traditional category of"part and whole".This allows for the description of both structural and functional aspects of complex systems not only at the interdisciplinary but also at the transdisciplinary level.The primary categories of thought-Identity,Difference,Correlated,Opposite,and others-are regarded as universal notions that connect levels of reality and ensure the integration of individual sciences.Unlike contemporary transdisciplinary concepts based on Basarab Nicolescu's logic of the included middle and Edgar Morin's dialogics,the author's theory is built on the ultimate general Hegelian notion of"concrete identity"and its differentiation into a multitude of"concrete differences"-comparative concepts.As a result,a unique philosophical language has been developed,presented within the framework of the Philosophical Matrix as a system of categories of pure mind capable of describing the dynamics and wholeness of complex processes at the transdisciplinary level.The article is intended for researchers interested in the philosophical foundations of transdisciplinarity,the theory of complexity,and the development of universal categories of thought. 展开更多

Objectives:This study aimed to establish the concept of overcoming exhaustion,providing a reference basis for nursing management and conducting related nursing research.Methods:Liehr and Smith’s three-phase,nine-step concept-building process was used to create the concept of overcoming exhaustion.The nine steps were as follows:1)write a practice story;2)name the emerging concept;3)select a theoretical lens;4)link concept to literature;5)gather a concept story;6)identify final core qualities;7)formulate concept definition;8)create a concept model;and 9)specify the concept building synthesis.Results:The concept of overcoming exhaustion was identified based on the elements of a practice story,the life experiences of nurses who struggle with the demands of caring for their patients,their families,and themselves.The theory of self-transcendence was then recognized as the theoretical lens from which to ground the concept.The core qualities,despair and moments of calmness,were derived from the literature and confirmed through a concept story.A definition of the concept integrating the core qualities was formed:overcoming exhaustion involves realizing moments of calmness amidst despair.A model was created to demonstrate the relationship between core qualities,despair,and moments of calmness.Conclusions:The concept of overcoming exhaustion was developed and,through the concept-building process,was defined as realizing moments of calmness amidst despair.By identifying the complexities of overcoming exhaustion,this work lays the foundation for a future research program to develop understanding and interventions that support nurse well-being in the context of ongoing personal and professional demands. 展开更多
