To investigate how the physicochemical properties and NH3‐selective catalytic reduction(NH3‐SCR)performance of supported ceria‐based catalysts are influenced as a function of support type,a series of CeO2/SiO2,CeO2/γ‐Al2O3,CeO2/ZrO2,and CeO2/TiO2catalysts were prepared.The physicochemical properties were probed by means of X‐ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller surface area measurements,X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy,H2‐temperature programmed reduction,and NH3‐temperature programmed desorption.Furthermore,the supported ceria‐based catalysts'catalytic performance and H2O+SO2tolerance were evaluated by the NH3‐SCR model reaction.The results indicate that out of the supported ceria‐based catalysts studied,the CeO2/γ‐Al2O3catalyst exhibits the highest catalytic activity as a result of having a high relative Ce3+/Ce4+ratio,optimum reduction behavior,and the largest total acid site concentration.Finally,the CeO2/γ‐Al2O3catalyst also presents excellent H2O+SO2tolerance during the NH3‐SCR process. 展开更多

Metal atoms atomically dispersed on an inorganic metal‐based support compose a unique category of single atom catalysts(SACs)and have important applications in catalytic photoreduction reactions,including H_(2) evolution reaction,CO_(2) reduction reaction,and N_(2) reduction reaction.In this minreview,we summarized the typical metal‐support interaction(M‐SI)patterns for successful anchoring of single‐atom metals on metallic compound supports.Subsequently,the contribution of the dispersed single metal atoms and M‐SI to photocatalytic reactions with improved activity,selectivity,and stability are highlighted,such as by accelerating charge transfer,regulating band structure of the support,acting as the reductive sites,and/or increasing catalytic selectivity.Finally,some challenges and perspectives of future development are proposed.We anticipate that this minireview will be a beneficial supplement for a comprehensive perception of metal‐based material supported SACs and their application in heterogeneous photo‐reductive catalysis. 展开更多

Heart diagnosis is not always possible at every medical center, especially in the rural areas where less support and care, due to lack of advanced heart diagnosis equipment. Also, physician intuition and experience are not always sufficient to achieve high quality medical procedures results. Therefore, medical errors and undesirable results are reasons for a need for unconventional computer-based diagnosis systems, which in turns reduce medical fatal errors, increasing the patient safety and save lives. The proposed solution, which is based on an Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), provides a decision support system to identify three main heart diseases: mitral stenosis, aortic stenosis and ventricular septal defect. Furthermore, the system deals with an encouraging opportunity to develop an operational screening and testing device for heart disease diagnosis and can deliver great assistance for clinicians to make advanced heart diagnosis. Using real medical data, series of experiments have been conducted to examine the performance and accuracy of the proposed solution. Compared results revealed that the system performance and accuracy are acceptable, with a heart diseases classification accuracy of 92%. 展开更多

Chloranil through condensation reaction with vicinal diamine such as diaminomaleonitrile produced heterocyclic monomer, p-benzoquinonebis[2,3-b; 2',3'-b']pyrazine-5,6-dinitrile. The tetranitrile monomer was cyclo-tetramerised using lithium/pentanol and acetic acid affording the corresponding tetrap-benzoquinone bis[2,3-b; 2',3'-b']pyrazinoporphyrazine)]- based network polymer (2H-Pz). The tetranitril monomer was cyclo-tetramerised using metal salt and quinoline affording the corresponding porphyrazinato-metal II-based network polymers (M-Pz), M = Co, Ni or Cu. Elemental analytical results, IR and NMR spectral data of the prepared molecules are consistent with their assigned formulations. Molecular masses and metal contents of the synthesized polymers proved to be of high molecular masses which confirm the efficiency of tetramerization polymerization and complexation reactions. The prepared pyrazinoporphyrazines were used as efficient catalysts for the oxidation of thiophenol and benzylthiol to their disulfides in the presence of air atmosphere. The results of oxidation of thiophenol and benzylthiol show that after 15 min the maximum yield of the corresponding disulfides reached 95%, 91%, respectively. 展开更多

Support vector machines and a Kalman-like observer are used for fault detection and isolation in a variable speed horizontalaxis wind turbine composed of three blades and a full converter. The support vector approach is data-based and is therefore robust to process knowledge. It is based on structural risk minimization which enhances generalization even with small training data set and it allows for process nonlinearity by using flexible kernels. In this work, a radial basis function is used as the kernel. Different parts of the process are investigated including actuators and sensors faults. With duplicated sensors, sensor faults in blade pitch positions,generator and rotor speeds can be detected. Faults of type stuck measurements can be detected in 2 sampling periods. The detection time of offset/scaled measurements depends on the severity of the fault and on the process dynamics when the fault occurs. The converter torque actuator fault can be detected within 2 sampling periods. Faults in the actuators of the pitch systems represents a higher difficulty for fault detection which is due to the fact that such faults only affect the transitory state(which is very fast) but not the final stationary state. Therefore, two methods are considered and compared for fault detection and isolation of this fault: support vector machines and a Kalman-like observer. Advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed. On one hand, support vector machines training of transitory states would require a big amount of data in different situations, but the fault detection and isolation results are robust to variations in the input/operating point. On the other hand, the observer is model-based, and therefore does not require training, and it allows identification of the fault level, which is interesting for fault reconfiguration. But the observability of the system is ensured under specific conditions, related to the dynamics of the inputs and outputs. The whole fault detection and isolation scheme is evaluated using a wind turbine benchmark with a real sequence of wind speed. 展开更多

CO_(2)flooding for enhanced oil recovery(EOR)not only enables underground carbon storage but also plays a critical role in tertiary oil recovery.However,its displacement efficiency is constrained by whether CO_(2)and crude oil achieve miscibility,necessitating precise prediction of the minimum miscibility pressure(MMP)for CO_(2)-oil systems.Traditional methods,such as experimental measurements and empirical correlations,face challenges including time-consuming procedures and limited applicability.In contrast,artificial intelligence(AI)algorithms have emerged as superior alternatives due to their efficiency,broad applicability,and high prediction accuracy.This study employs four AI algorithms—Random Forest Regression(RFR),Genetic Algorithm Based Back Propagation Artificial Neural Network(GA-BPNN),Support Vector Regression(SVR),and Gaussian Process Regression(GPR)—to establish predictive models for CO_(2)-oil MMP.A comprehensive database comprising 151 data entries was utilized for model development.The performance of these models was rigorously evaluated using five distinct statistical metrics and visualized comparisons.Validation results confirm their accuracy.Field applications demonstrate that all four models are effective for predicting MMP in ultra-deep reservoirs(burial depth>5000 m)with complex crude oil compositions.Among them,the RFR and GA-BPNN models outperform SVR and GPR,achieving root mean square errors(RMSE)of 0.33%and 2.23%,and average absolute percentage relative errors(AAPRE)of 0.01%and 0.04%,respectively.Sensitivity analysis of MMP-influencing factors reveals that reservoir temperature(T_(R))exerts the most significant impact on MMP,while Xint(mole fraction of intermediate oil components,including C_(2)-C_(4),CO_(2),and H_(2)S)exhibits the least influence. 展开更多

Agent based simulation has successfully been applied to model complex organizational behavior and to improve or optimize aspects of organizational performance. Agents, with intelligence supported through the application of a genetic algorithm are proposed as a means of optimizing the performance of the system being modeled. Local decisions made by agents and other system variables are placed in the genetic encoding. This allows local agents to positively impact high level system performance. A simple, but non trivial, peg game is utilized to introduce the concept. A multiple objective bin packing problem is then solved to demonstrate the potential of the approach in meeting a number of high level goals. The methodology allows not only for a systems level optimization, but also provides data which can be analyzed to determine what constitutes effective agent behavior. 展开更多

Ballistic missile defense system (BMDS) is important for its special role in ensuring national security and maintaining strategic balance. Research on modeling and simulation of the BMDS beforehand is essential as developing a real one requires lots of manpower and resources. BMDS is a typical complex system for its nonlinear, adaptive and uncertainty characteristics. The agent-based modeling method is well suited for the complex system whose overall behaviors are determined by interactions among individual elements. A multi-agent decision support system (DSS), which includes missile agent, radar agent and command center agent, is established based on the studies of structure and function of BMDS. Considering the constraints brought by radar, intercept missile, offensive missile and commander, the objective function of DSS is established. In order to dynamically generate the optimal interception plan, the variable neighborhood negative selection particle swarm optimization (VNNSPSO) algorithm is proposed to support the decision making of DSS. The proposed algorithm is compared with the standard PSO, constriction factor PSO (CFPSO), inertia weight linear decrease PSO (LDPSO), variable neighborhood PSO (VNPSO) algorithm from the aspects of convergence rate, iteration number, average fitness value and standard deviation. The simulation results verify the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. The multi-agent DSS is developed through the Repast simulation platform and the constructed DSS can generate intercept plans automatically and support three-dimensional dynamic display of missile defense process. 展开更多

This article describes the design and implementation processes of the OBRSS, including the creation of the ranked publication list and points system and infrastructure requirements. Some results of the OBRSS will be presented, focusing on the coverage of publications reported in the OBRSS ranked publication list and Scopus, as well as information about spending patterns. Surface chemical properties of supports have an important influence on active sites and their catalytic behavio r.Here,we fabricated a series of cobalt-based catalysts supported by carbon layer-coated ordered mesoporous silica(OMS) composites for higher alcohol synthesis(HAS).The carbon layers were derived from different sources and uniformly coated on the porous surface of OMS.Combined with the characterization results of carbonized catalysts,it is demonstrated that the carbon layer-coated supports significantly enhanced the metal dispersion and increased the ratio of Co2+ to Co0 sites,which further increased the CO conversion and alcohols selectivity.Moreover,it is found that the catalytic activity changed in line with the amount of defects and surface oxygenic groups of carbon layers,which re sulted from the different carbon sources.The highest space time yield of C2+OH was 27.5 mmol gcat-1h-1)obtained by the catalyst coated with glucose-derived carbon layer.But the carbon source is not the key factor influencing the distribution of Co-Co2+ dual sites and shows little effect on selectivity in HAS.These results may guide for further design of carbon supported catalysts. 展开更多

The focus of the present research study is to assess the effectiveness of a pre</span>- and post-simulation-based BLS training (BLS) and the outcome was<span "=""> measured on the basis of patient survival after the cardiac arrest. <b>Study Design</b><strong>:</strong> This pre- and post-training BLS/CPR training study enrolled all nursing staff, all hospital residents, internees, throughout the hospital in a simulation-based BLS training as per the standards of American Heart Association (AHA), to make them respond to immediate resuscitation and code blue activation during the cardiac arrest within the hospital premises including ED, wards, ICUs, MRI, CT and all miscellaneous areas. The providers completed self-efficacy questionnaires as per the AHA protocol before being certified and were evaluated during the emergency in hospital cardiopulmonary arrest. <b>Results: </b>296 nursing staff, 206 non-healthcare professionals, 143 residents, 212 internees, and 98 medical staff grade doctors completed the BLS training (total 955 hospital staff—providers) were graded for the response by pre- and post-training testing. In the course of pre</span>-BLS training period out of the 250 cardiac arrest patients, 68 patients (27.2%) had ROSC, while after instituting the BLS training period, 143 individuals (40.86%) of the 350 patients who had cardiac arrest had ROSC (p<span "=""> </span><<span "=""> </span>0.05<span "="">). <b>Conclusion: </b>A simulation-based CPR and BLS training curriculum greatly improves patient outcome by reducing mortality and morbidity with improved subjectivity, self-efficiency along with the objective assessment of the performance scores during acute cardiac arrest in Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).</span> </div> 展开更多

The capacity of the system is enhanced by the knowledge-based component which provides a knowledge-based simulation environment for model management. Currently the system has passed the stage of prototype and achieves its implementation capacity. The paper first presents the mathematical aspects of decision making including aspiration-directed decision making, then discusses the architecture of the system. There is a documented and often unmet need for interventions aimed at supporting young people with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in their transition between adolescence and adulthood. Difficulties with social interaction, initiation difficulties, and impairments in executive function can complicate visits at a clinic, i.e. traditional treatment, for individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders (NPD). A model for internet-based support and coaching aimed at young people with ASD and/or ADHD was developed and tested at three treatment sites in western Sweden. The implementation was analyzed against an inventory according to which implementations are more likely to be successful if an intervention: 1) has advantages compared to other existing methods, 2) matches the individual and organizational values, norms and work practices of its recipients, 3) is perceived as easy to use, and 4) is adaptable to local conditions and the recipients’ needs. Data were collected through group interviews with professionals involved in the implementation of the intervention. The implementation of the intervention showed promising results on measures such as access, delivery/quality of healthcare services, and equality of distribution of healthcare services. The identified impediments to successful implementation related to a wide range of factors and levels, including the design of the intervention, technical issues, attitudes of staff, organizational culture, and organizational structure at the implementation sites in terms of patient stock, work division, and resource allocation. The results are consistent with previous studies that stress the need for multi-component implementation strategies. 展开更多

Exploring the Multivariate Relationships between Adolescent Depression and Social Support, Religiosity, and Spirituality in a Faith-Based High School

Depression is one of the most common psychological disorders that affect adolescents. In this study, we investigated how depression in adolescents relates to social support, religiosity, and spirituality in multivariate analyses. We also investigated whether age, gender and ethnicity are predictors of depression among adolescents in a faith-based high school. We measured social support using the Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS), religiosity with the Duke University Religion Index (DUREL);spirituality with the Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS);and depression with the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale for Children (CES-DC). Results of the bivariate analyses showed a significant negative association between depression and social support, religiosity, and spirituality (p –0.548, p = 0.00) was negatively related to depression in adolescents. The study found significant gender differences only in religiosity, while significant ethnic differences were only found in social support. Implications to education, practice, research and future directions of study are discussed. 展开更多

We use the secondary relative benefit model based on DEA to evaluate the performance of agricultural financial expenditure in Guizhou Province, which can give due consideration to the production effectiveness determined by objective natural conditions, and management effectiveness of all regions (as decision-making body) in the use of financial fund for supporting agriculture. In general, there is north-south gradient difference in the performance of financial support for agriculture between regions in Guizhou Province. The drought in 2010 has significant impact on the technical efficiency in the whole province; the performance score of each item in Liupanshui City and Southwest Guizhou is very low; the technical efficiency and management efficiency in most regions need to be improved. In order to improve the performance of financial support for agriculture, we need to ensure the scale of input; at the same time, provide appropriate preferential financial policies for agricultural infrastructure, especially the construction of rural water conservancy, development and promotion of agricultural science and technology, and other fields; adopt the way of special check and acceptance of supporting projects to strengthen the use management of the fund for agriculture. 展开更多

In this study, we use the respective advantages of the tabu search (TS) and the Web-based technologies to develop a Web-based decision support system (DSS) for cell formation (CF) problems considering alternative process routings and machine sequences simultaneously. With the assistance of our developed Web-based system, the CF practitioners in the production departments can interact with the systems without knowing the details of algorithms and can get the best machine cells and part families with minimize the total intercellular movement wherever and whenever they may need it. To further verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the system developed, an example taken from the literature is ado- pted for illustrational purpose. Moreover, a set of test problems with various sizes drawn from the literature is used to test the performance of the proposed system. Corresponding results are compared to several well-known algorithms previously published. The results indicate that the proposed system improves the best results found in the literature for 67% of the test problems. These show that the proposed system should thus be useful to both practitioners and researchers. 展开更多
