To accelerat...Reducing maternal and infant deaths’ rates in the developing countries, particularly in sub-Sahara Africa, remain a big challenge. Despite efforts by governments, the reductions have been unsatisfactory. To accelerate the reduction in maternal and infant deaths, m-health has been proposed as a viable, economical and effective intervention, able to reach the low income and disadvantaged groups. Mobile phone-based applications are among the m-health interventions that have been found to have positive outcomes for different healthcare challenges, such as improving clinical attendance and skilled delivery, and reducing perinatal mortality. However, the adoption of smartphone-based applications for health in Tanzania has been slow. Some of the likely contributing factors might be low technology exposure by the majority of the population and English language skills’ limitations. In this work, we developed a mobile application for providing interactive support to users, thus complementing other solutions available such as SMS and other smartphone apps. The main advantage of this app is the presence of interactive features that enable patient-provider communication. We adopted the Rapid application development (RAD) model for developing the application. We used UML modeling language tools for designing the application. The mobile application’s technical architecture uses various technologies and system development tools such as PHP programming language for the web application, MySQL database management system and Android Studio mobile application development platform.展开更多

The computations show that this method of solution has the advantages of rapid convergency and time-saving. Background With an increasing number of vehicles becoming autonomous,intelligent,and connected,paying attention to the future usage of car human-machine interface with these vehicles should become more relevant.Severa...Background With an increasing number of vehicles becoming autonomous,intelligent,and connected,paying attention to the future usage of car human-machine interface with these vehicles should become more relevant.Several studies have addressed car HMI but were less attentive to designing and implementing interactive glazing for every day(autonomous)driving contexts.Methods Reflecting on the literature,we describe an engineering psychology practice and the design of six novel future user scenarios,which envision the application of a specific set of augmented reality(AR)support user interactions.Additionally,we conduct evaluations on specific scenarios and experiential prototypes,which reveal that these AR scenarios aid the target user groups in experiencing a new type of interaction.The overall evaluation is positive with valuable assessment results and suggestions.Conclusions This study can interest applied psychology educators who aspire to teach how AR can be operationalized in a human-centered design process to students with minimal pre-existing expertise or minimal scientific knowledge in engineering psychology.展开更多

文摘Under the new curriculum reform, the traditional indoctrination teaching method has not adapted to the development of society, and it is difficult to meet the learning needs of students. Interactive teaching method has been introduced into junior high school English teaching, which has innovated classroom teaching methods, brought more opportunities for junior high school students to explore independently, and created a knowledgeable and open English classroom. Students have become the real masters of the classroom. The new English curriculum standard for junior middle schools puts forward that English teaching should be geared to all students, keep the language learning asymptotic and continuous, form innovative consciousness, develop scientific spirit and cultivate positive emotional attitudes and values. However, in the current junior high school English teaching practice, there are still some problems in interactive teaching, and English teachers need to take measures to improve them. Therefore, in daily teaching, junior high school English teachers should change the traditional teaching methods, create an open English classroom and enhance the interaction between teachers and students. On the one hand, they should cultivate junior high school students listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities;on the other hand, they should exercise their English thinking and accomplishment so that junior high school students can express and use English skillfully in real life.
