In this work, we have made a comprehensive evaluation of the performances of existingtop RNA secondary structure prediction methods, including five deep-learning (DL) based methods and five minimum freeenergy (MFE) based methods. First, we made a brief overview of these RNA secondary structure prediction methods.Afterwards, we built two rigorous test datasets consisting of RNAs with non-redundant sequences and comprehensivelyexamined the performances of the RNA secondary structure prediction methods through classifying the RNAs into differentlength ranges and different types. Our examination shows that the DL-based methods generally perform better thanthe MFE-based methods for RNAs with long lengths and complex structures, while the MFE-based methods can achievegood performance for small RNAs and some specialized MFE-based methods can achieve good prediction accuracy forpseudoknots. Finally, we provided some insights and perspectives in modeling RNA secondary structures.展开更多

Finally, we provided some insights and perspectives in modeling RNA secondary structures.

文摘Aeroengines, often regarded as the heart of aircraft, are crucial for flight safety and performance.Comprehensive performance evaluation of aeroengines supports Prognostics and Health Management(PHM)and aeroengine digital engineering.Due to their highly integrated nature, aeroengines present challenges in performance evaluation because their test-run data are high-dimensional,large-scale,and exhibit strong nonlinear correlations among test indicators. To solve this problem, this study proposes a unified framework of the comprehensive performance evaluation of aeroengines to assess performance objectively and globally.Specifically, the network model and the dynamics model of aeroengine performance are constructed driven by test-run data, which can explain the patterns of system state changes and the internal relationship, and depict the system accurately.Based on that, three perturbations in the model are used to simulate three fault modes of aeroengines. Moreover, the comprehensive performance evaluation indexes of aeroengines are proposed to evaluate the performance dynamically from two dimensions, the coupling performance and the activity performance.Thirteen test-run qualified and four test-run failed aeroengines are used to validate and establish the qualified ranges. The results demonstrate that the comprehensive evaluation indexes can distinguish test-run qualified and test-run failed aeroengines.By changing the dynamic parameters, the comprehensive performance under any thrust and inlet guide vanes(IGV)angle can be estimated, broadening the test-run scenarios beyond a few typical states. This novel approach offers significant advancements for the comprehensive performance evaluation and management of aeroengines, paving the way for future PHM and aeroengine digital engineering developments.

文摘The buffer zone of a World Natural Heritage Site constitutes a critical element of the heritage site protection system. It not only functions as an ecological security barrier, but also significantly influences the visual integrity and aesthetic value of the core area’s landscape.Given the rapid development of transportation infrastructure, particularly the growing number of high-speed railways traversing ecologically sensitive regions, the scientific assessment of their impact on the landscape environment of heritage sites has emerged as a pivotal concern in heritage conservation and regional development. This study focused on the section of the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway that traverses the buffer zone of the Libo World Natural Heritage Site in Guizhou Province.Beginning with five primary indicators, including natural landscape and aesthetic value, geological geomorphology and Earth history value, biodiversity value, integrity and protection management, and impact on ecological environment,a visual landscape impact assessment system for high-speed railways was developed based on the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method(FCE).Through expert scoring, hierarchical weight calculation, and fuzzy membership degree analysis,a comprehensive assessment was conducted on the landscape ecological quality, visual coordination, and aesthetic perception within the buffer zone following the construction of high-speed railways. The findings indicate that the construction of the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway generally harmonizes well with the landscape environment of the heritage site. The level of visual disturbance remains within an acceptable range and has not significantly damaged the overall aesthetic value or authenticity of the heritage site.Although the integrity of the landscape in certain local areas has experienced a slight decline due to the exposure of bridge and slope structures, the adverse effects have been effectively mitigated through engineering interventions such as vegetation restoration and color coordination. This study innovatively integrates the AHP with fuzzy mathematics methods to achieve a comprehensive evaluation that combines both qualitative and quantitative approaches. This integration provides a scientifically grounded analytical path and a practical technical framework for assessing the visual impact of linear infrastructure projects, such as high-speed railways, within the buffer zones of World Heritage Sites. The findings offer valuable insights for the protection of landscapes and the sustainable development of infrastructure in heritage sites.

文摘The comprehensive status of blast furnaces was one of the most important factors affecting their economy, quality, and longev-ity.The blast furnace comprehensive status had the nature of“black box,”and it was“unpredictable.”In this study,a blast furnace com-prehensive status score and prediction method based on a cascade system and a combined model were proposed to address this issue.A dual cascade evaluation system was developed by integrating subjective and objective weighting methods. The analytic hierarchy process, coefficient of variation, entropy weight method, and impart combinatorial games were jointly employed to determine the optimal weight distribution across indicators.Categorized statuses(raw material, gas flow, furnace body, furnace cylinder, and iron-slag)were evaluated.Based on the five categories of the status data, the second cascade was applied to upgrade the quantitative evaluation of the comprehens-ive status. The weights of the different categories were 0.22,0.15,0.22,0.21,and 0.20,respectively.According to the data analysis, the results of the comprehensive status score closely matched the on-site production logs.Based on the blast furnace smelting period, the maximal information coefficient method was applied to the 100 parameters that were most relevant to the comprehensive status.A com-bined prediction model for a comprehensive status score was designed using bidirectional long short-term memory(BiLSTM)and categorical boosting(CatBoost). The test results indicated that the combined model reduced the mean absolute error by an average of 0.275 and increased the hit rate by an average of 5.65 percentage points compared to BiLSTM or CatBoost alone. When the er-ror range was±2.5,the combined model predicted a hit rate of 91.66%for the next hour’s comprehensive status score, and its high accur-acy was deemed satisfactory for the field.SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)and regression fitting were applied to analyze the lin-ear quantitative relationship between the key variables and the comprehensive status score. When the furnace bottom center temperature was increased by 10℃,the comprehensive status score increased by 0.44.This method contributes to a more precise management and control of the comprehensive status of the blast furnace on-site.

文摘The construction of spot electricity markets plays a pivotal role in power system reforms, where market clearing systems profoundly influence market efficiency and security.Current clearing systems predominantly adopt a single-system architecture, with research focusing primarily on accelerating solution algorithms through techniques such as high-efficiency parallel solvers and staggered decomposition of mixed-integer programming models.Notably absent are systematic studies evaluating the adaptability of primary-backup clearing systems incontingency scenarios—a critical gap given redundant systems’expanding applications in operational environments. This paper proposes a comprehensive evaluation framework for analyzing dual-system adaptability, demonstrated through an in-depth case study of the Inner Mongolia power market.First,we establish the innovative“Dual-Active Heterogeneous”architecture that enables independent parallelized operation and fault-isolated redundancy.Subsequently, key performance indices are quantitatively evaluated across four critical dimensions:unit commitment decisions, generator output constraints, transmission section congestion patterns, and clearing price formation mechanisms. An integrated fuzzy evaluation methodology incorporating grey relational analysis is employed for objective indicator weighting, enabling systematic quantification of system superiority under specific grid operating states.Empirical results based on actual operational data from 200 generation units demonstrate the framework’s efficacy in guiding optimal system selection, with particularly strong performance observed during peak load periods. The proposed approach shows high generalization potential for other regional markets employing redundant clearing mechanisms—particularly those with increasing renewable penetration and associated uncertainty.

文摘Research on urban health constitutes an important issue in the field of health geography and also a strong propeller of the Healthy China Initiative. As the main form that realizes new-type urbanization, urban agglomerations should become the primal sites for the construction of a“Healthy China”.The evaluation of healthy cities’development in urban agglomerations has both theoretical and practical values.Based on the concept of urban health and its evaluation models, this paper developed an evaluation framework for healthy cities that involved multiple data sources. With 19 urban agglomerations in China as the research subjects,we used CRITIC weighting and geographical detectors to examine the geographies of healthy cities and their influencing factors in 2010 and 2020.The results were fourfold.Firstly, the urban health level of China significantly increased from 2010 to 2020,and the comprehensive health index developed towards a positive skewed distribution, along with a shift from“low in the hinterland-high in the coastal areas”to a“multipolar”pattern led by the coastal and southwest urban agglomerations.Secondly, among various dimensions of urban health, the healthy environment index became improved with narrowed regional differences;while the health services index was still polarized;health collaboration was upgraded with a strengthened intercity health network;the healthy population index slightly declined and converged to the middle.Thirdly, urban health in China has initially demonstrated the characteristics of a H-H pattern in the Yangtze River Delta and ChengduChongqing regions,as well as L-L clusters in the northern urban agglomerations, the narrowed regional differences, and increasing coordination within each urban agglomeration.Fourthly, the geographical detector found that economy, urbanization and the human capital were significant external factors that affected urban health development. The explanatory power of technological innovation and opening to the outside world were also increasing. The development of healthy cities is yet to be transformed into regional health integration.

文摘Mine water pollution caused by improper discharge of industrial wastewater, waste liquid and waste residue into minedout areas is a new form of pollution occurred in China in recent years. This kind of pollution is buried deeply, and it is difficult to control, dispose and repair.Deep contaminated mine water from abandoned mining areas may even enter the ocean, posing a great threat to marine ecosystems. In this study, using a water pollution incident occurred in a coal field at a depth of 80 m in Shandong Province,China,in 2015,as an example, the methods of engineering block disposal and groundwater remediation are reported, and the remediation effects are tested and evaluated by in-situ chemical detection and geophysical surveys. The test results showed that engineering blocking measures such as cut-off walls can obviously block the DNAPL diffusion process in mine water, but the blocking effect on organic pollutants dissolved in water was limited. It can slow down the diffusion process of organic gas.The presence of mining tunnels and mined-out areas in the contaminated zone enhances the diffusion speed of various pollutants, especially during the remediation process when pollutants rapidly spread throughout the entire contaminated area.Groundwater circulation extraction and oxidation methods have a significant degradation effect on pollutants like dichloromethane, but they may generate a large amount of secondary gaseous pollutants. These gaseous pollutants may migrate to the shallow subsurface through structures such as faults, leading to secondary subsurface contamination. When designing remediation plans,it is crucial to strike a balance between blocking and guiding in the context of both blocking and restoration projects for achieving effective remediation.

文摘In the context of intelligent manufacturing, the modern hot strip mill process(HSMP)shows characteristics such as diversification of products,multi-specification batch production, and demand-oriented customization. These characteristics pose significant challenges to ensuring process stability and consistency of product performance. Therefore, exploring the potential relationship between product performance and the production process, and developing a comprehensive performance evaluation method adapted to modern HSMP have become an urgent issue.A comprehensive performance evaluation method for HSMP by integrating multi-task learning and stacked performance-related autoencoder is proposed to solve the problems such as incomplete performance indicators(PIs)data, insufficient real-time acquisition requirements, and coupling of multiple PIs.First, according to the existing Chinese standards,a comprehensive performance evaluation grade strategy for strip steel is designed. The random forest model is established to predict and complete the parts of PIs data that could not be obtained in real-time.Second,a stacked performance-related autoencoder(SPAE)model is proposed to extract the deep features closely related to the product performance. Then, considering the correlation between PIs,the multi-task learning framework is introduced to output the subitem ratings and comprehensive product performance rating results of the strip steel online in real-time,where each task represents a subitem of comprehensive performance. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified on a real HSMP dataset, and the results show that the accuracy of the proposed method is as high as 94.8%,which is superior to the other comparative methods.

文摘With the improvement of living standards and the shift in societal consumption attitudes, consumers demand for the quality of aquatic products is increasingly stringent.Freshness and quality have become primary factors determining consumers purchasing decisions. However, due to the high moisture content, active endogenous enzymes, and rich nutrients in aquatic products, both fresh and processed products are highly susceptible to quality deterioration during procurement, distribution, and storage, which leads to a significant decline in sensory quality and nutritional value, while also compromising safety.Today, the consumption of high-quality aquatic products has become a prevailing trend. This paper reviewed the methods for freshness evaluation and quality grading of aquatic products in terms of sensory and nutritional aspects, aiming to support the market circulation principle of"higher price for better quality"and"price based on quality",and better meeting consumer demands. Therefore,it is imperative to enhance the analysis and evaluation of aquatic product quality and to continuously refine assessment systems and methods, which is crucial for promoting industry transformation and fostering a healthy market-consumer economic cycle.

文摘It is well recognized that Structural Health Monitoring(SHM)reliability evaluation is a key aspect that needs to be urgently addressed to promote the wide application of SHM methods. However, the existing studies typically transfer the Non-Destructive Testing/Evaluation(NDT/E)reliability metrics to SHM without a systematic analysis of where these metrics originated.Seldom attentions are paid to the evaluation conditions which are very important to apply these metrics.Aimed at this issue,a new condition control-based Dual-Reliability Evaluation(Dual-RE)method for SHM is proposed. This new method is proposed based on a systematic analysis of the whole framework of reliability evaluation from instrument to NDT,and emphasis is paid to the evaluation condition control.Based on these analyses, considering the special online application scenario of SHM,the proposed Dual-RE method contains two key components:Integrated Sensor-based SHM-RE(IS-SHM-RE)and Critical Service Condition-based SHM-RE(CSC-SHM-RE).ISSHM-RE evaluates the reliability of integrated SHM sensor and system themselves under approximate repeatability conditions, while CSC-SHM-RE assesses SHM reliability under the dominant uncertainties during service, namely intermediate conditions. To demonstrate the Dual-RE,crack monitoring by using the Guided Wave-based-SHM(GW-SHM)on aircraft lug structures is taken as a case study. Both the crack detection and sizing performance are evaluated from accuracy and uncertainty.

文摘Conventional ultrasound(US)evaluation of enthesitis in psoriatic arthritis(PsA)is limited by its inability to quantify metabolic alterations such as hypoxia,a key driver of disease activity. We introduce an oxygenation-integrated multimodal photoacoustic/ultrasound(PA/US)imaging framework designed to quantify entheseal oxygen saturation(SO_(2))for assessing entheseal disease activity in PsA.In this cross-sectional study,25 PsA patients underwent bilateral PA/US imaging of 12 entheses, where ultrasound lesions were scored using the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology scoring system, and PA-derived SO_(2) levels, quantified via dual-wavelength PA imaging, were classified into hyperoxia or hypoxia groups using k-means clustering. This approach provides metabolic insights complementary to conventional ultrasonic assessment.A composite score integrating hypoxia with US parameters was validated against clinical disease activity indices(Disease Activity Score 28-C-reactive protein,DAS28-CRP;Disease Activity Index for Psoriatic Arthritis,DAPSA).Among 300 entheses,103(34.3%)exhibited PA positivity, with 40(38.8%)classified as hypoxia.Hypoxia scores independently predicted DAS28-CRP(β=0.618,p=0.001)and DAPSA(β=0.612,p<0:001).The hypoxia-optimized PAUS score demonstrated superior correlation with disease activity indices compared to conventional US(DAS28-CRP:r=0.615,p=0.001 versus r=0.474,p=0.017;DAPSA:r=0.743,p<0:001 versus r=0.567,p=0.003),alongside superior diagnostic accuracy for minimal disease activity(area under the curve,AUC 0.776 versus 0.614,p=0.008)and low disease activity(AUC 0.853 versus 0.772,p=0.009).This multimodal scoring system enhances the stratification of PsA disease activity by providing unique metabolic insights, offering a potential tool for therapeutic monitoring and guiding treat-to-target strategies.

文摘Rock brittleness is a critical property in geotechnical and energy engineering,as it directly influences the prediction of rock failure and stability assessment.Although numerous methods have been developed to evaluate brittleness, many fail to comprehensively account for the impacts of microstructural changes, mineralogical characteristics, and stress conditions on energy evolution during failure. This study proposes a novel approach for brittleness evaluation based on the energy evolution throughout the post-peak failure process, integrating two micromechanical mechanisms:crack propagation and frictional sliding.A new brittleness index is defined as the ratio of generated surface energy to released elastic energy, providing a unified framework for assessing both Class I and Class II mechanical behaviors. The brittleness of cyan, white, and gray sandstones was investigated under various confining pressures and moisture conditions using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and conventional triaxial compression(CTC)tests. The results demonstrate that brittleness decreases with increasing confining pressure, due to suppressed crack propagation, and increases under saturated conditions,as moisture enhances crack propagation.By establishing connections between mineral composition, microstructural features, and stress-induced responses, the proposed method overcame limitations of previous approaches and offered a more precise tool for evaluating rock brittleness under diverse environmental scenarios.
